  1. 1) Bugs should be in the Bug Reports forums for organization sake

    2) Please be more descriptive than "still broken". What's the actual problem?

It looks like the top and bottom of the display is clipping into a piece of the ship, have you tried moving it?  If I put Wgrates glyph on a display that's clear of obstructions and it looks fine to me. 😕

  2. So some people are against Landslide, glass shiv and Khora's whip being independently moddable because they they're leveraging this unintended riven interaction...   What about all the people that aren't? What about people that don't have access to rivens, or don't have a suitable roll that synergizes with Landslide, or want to use a melee weapon that doesn't have a 5-dot riven disposition? Why should Atlas, Gara and Khora players have to make these kind of investments and/or compromises when Excalibur, Mesa, Ivara players etc do not?

I'd like to have a 100% focus conversion on action/kills done with the operator tho.

Just as my personal opinion, I agree.  100%  XP -> Focus for whatever focus school you are actively using.

It needs a pretty high rate on return to be worth the effort of playing as the operator when they lack the map-wiping nukes and auto-gameplay that Warframes offer.

    During normal Onslaught, as Umbra,
using any power right as you are entering the conduit causes your melee to brake.

While your melee is broken, for some reason it also brakes Mara Detron's sound

It kind of looks like the problem is you have Exalted Blade and your pistol out at the same time.  I tried casting Exalted Blade just as I hit the portal, and I can make it so it *looks like* I'm holding my gun and melee weapon at the same time, but it fixes itself as soon as I do pretty much anything.

Can you describe what you were doing? Like, what weapons did you have equipped? What ability did you cast? Did you have Exalted Blade active when started to use the portal? Were you using operator mode?

  5. Atlas Punch and exalted weapons share the exact same problems though:

1.) Blackboxing:  The game doesn't show you what stats your punch actually has just as it didn't for Exalted Blade, so you don't know which mods you should use with it or which mods will even WORK with it.  The wiki has information like this after it's been painstakingly reverse engineered by the players, but even assuming that the wiki is correct: on a scale of 0 to 0, how much fun is it to have to pull out the wiki every time you want to change your melee weapon?  Making Exalted Blade independently moddable means that you can immediately and intuitively see how you should mod it and how mods affect it.

2.) Statsticking: Unless your ability-based weapon and your actual physical weapon have exactly the same stats and mod compatibility, you will have to choose one of them to fully optimize. If your main melee weapon has a decent critical chance you probably want to use Blood Rush and Organ Shatter on it.  What if your ability-based weapon doesn't have a decent critical chance...would you still want to equip mods that can't actually be used?  (Answer is: this is a trick question because Atlas Punch can't use Blood Rush even if you have it, and the game will not indicate this to you anywhere.  See: Blackboxing).   The result is that you need to make a decision whether you are going to build your weapon for its OWN stats and mod compatibility, or just write off that weapon and use its mod slots to amplify the ability based attack.  Essentially:  Do you want to give up a weapon slot, or an ability?  The player should not be forced to make this decision, and Exalted weapons having independently moddable slots fixed this for them.

Reality is that exalted weapons are just ability based attacks,  the exact same as things like Atlas punch, Gara's shiv and Khora's whip. Sure their visual effects make it look like you're holding a different weapon but the actual gameplay implications are exactly the same:  You use a warframe ability and weapon mods are tied into the performance of that ability.

Frankly it's unfair to other frames with mod-fueled abilities, *especially* Atlas because punching is basically 80% of Atlas' core design, that they didn't get this buff.

Whenever I equip the Tolok Fishing Spear, I can no longer catch fish, I can still damage them but It doesn't pull them in. I'm also not able to reload using "R" or use any of my frames abilities, this includes summoning my operator after having the spear equipped. It seems as though my animations stop and that prevents me from doing anything else. I have to die to resolve the issue but it means I cannot catch specific fish that require that spear be used. Happens every time I equip it, both through equipping through my gear wheel and the fishing equipment wheel with a different spear equipped prior.

Tulok seems to work okay for me, can you be more specific what kind of fish you were hitting and what frame etc?

  7. DE tried to fix this once before by diverting shared affinity into your equipment based on the proportion of your time that you spent using that equipment.  So if you used your rifle 75% of the time, it got 75% of the shared affinity. This seems like a completely sensible solution to me, stuff that you were actively using ranked up very fast from active gameplay, but the community hated it because passive leveling didn't work anymore.

The reason to want mastery only come from weapons that you've used, is to make mastery rank actually mean more. But that ship sailed long ago. Mastery rank has been basically pointless to gauge a player's veterancy since many years ago once XP farming meta became super popular.

  8. I got something like this to happen in two different ways...once when my controls were jammed so I was always sliding in one specific direction, and then another variation where I was crouched but still able to steer. Still haven't been able to make this happen reliably, which is the key to getting it fixed.

  9. Definitely the #1 setting you need to check, is make sure that Warframe is set to "Vertical Sync =Auto" in your Esc>Options>Display section.  If that's still too hot or you have a high refresh monitor, you can also try setting Vsync to Off and Max Framerate = 60.

Also worth checking your heat sinks when things heat up a lot. Try blowing dust out of heat sinks with compressed air, this can make a huge difference in cooling performance.

  10. Since there are some of the people that are arguing in favor of link nuking because they think it always used to be the way it is.... Let me put things into context here.

A historical fact:  Castanas of all kinds used to explode at the same time when you pressed the button.  One explosion, reflected to 3 linked enemies, and they die. But there was an optimization made so that Castanas exploded one after another to reduce the CPU spike and smooth out a small hitch in frame rate.  That optimization made it so that links could change targets in the time between explosions.  Instead of link-nuking 3 targets, you link-nuke up to 9 at a time depending how your multishot rolls came out.  Potentially even more, with a strong multishot riven.  This happens so fast that it doesn't even render, and makes present-day link nuking MUCH more powerful than it used to be back in the ancient past. Maybe long ago it was a harmless novelty, but now it turns Trinity into one of the strongest damage frames for clearing large areas of the map, without ever seeing an enemy, through walls, automatically.

As far as not wanting to be pigeon-holed into specific roles ("Just because Trinity is a healer doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to do damage!").... If you want a hybrid healer/damage frame, then there are other frames that satisfy those tactical roles. Trinity is the *strongest* healer, a specialist, but not the only one that can heal. Equinox, Nidus, Hydroid, Oberon and Harrow all offer a mixture of offense and support if that's the way you want to play. Even putting aside warframe powers entirely, every frame can carry 3 weapons; why not try shooting or stabbing enemies to cause damage?

I was surprised about the changed effect, mostly because the AoE animation still seems to reach all places like it did before

While melee respecting LOS is definitely something that needed to happen for balance reasons due to abuse of zenistar and whips with reach rivens,  Red_Tesseract has a valid point: the visuals now suggest the weapon does something that it really doesn't.

  12. Take a break, come back in a bit. Don't force yourself to play a game if you aren't enjoying it, you'll make it difficult to ever like the game again. Warframe is constantly adding new stuff so keep an eye on the warframe news and come back when something cool happens (next story quest? next landscape? melee overhaul?)

  13. I'm always a little confused what people want from "endless" missions. Obviously they can't actually be endless. You're going to be forced out by *something*, whether it's bathroom, need to eat, need to sleep, or the heat death of the universe.  Do people really want the run length of a mission to be dictated by things outside their control, like their physical endurance, rather than being pushed out by the game mechanics?  Warframe is in a weird place where, with the right game-breaking strategy you can literally stay in a survival or defense for days until everybody passes out from exhaustion. Is that a better game experience than a half-hour mission where enemies get too hard to kill efficiently? Should DE really be encouraging players to physically torture themselves to set high scores and achieve the most efficient reward rates?  Should people who are older, or have disabilities, or real life responsibilities that prevent them playing all day long get worse or less "stuff" than people who have the opportunity to sit in the same mission all day long?

That and I'm not really sure that a "majority of players" want multi-hour sessions. Don't remember seeing any surveys about this.

  14. I also believe 10K reputation is too much for this.  For a max MR player this isn't even 3 wisps per day, when we can just go out to the plains and turbo-farm dozens per night. Heck even doing bounties has better returns than this, and gives us rep rather than costing it. The meta farming strategy isn't difficult, it doesn't even take particularly long, it's just boring. Players are desperate for a reasonable alternative but that alternative that needs to reflect the fact that an arcane set is 100 wisps and we are going to want to build at minimum 3 (and probably more) different sets plus armor plus amps.

1500 to 2000 per wisp seems a nicer value to me. It's enough that a high MR player can build an arcane a day through their eidolon hunting, but doesn't become a bottomless well of free wisps.  Less than this would be going too far, the intent should not be to completely replace the traditional route but to provide a supplemental source of wisps to people doing other content.

  15. I think the intent behind the Hind's alt fire was to give you a way to finish off a nearly-dead enemies with firing a whole other burst at them.  The big weakness to burst firing weapons has always been that you have to spend a whole burst worth of ammo even if an enemy doesn't need it to finish them off,  but for Hind the single shot provides that.

  16. Put yourself in the shoes of newer players who started after closed beta, i.e. probably something over 95% of the player base.

DE has had plenty of chances to make weapons exclusive to the time they were introduced, like Event weapons, or Baro weapons, or Anniversary weapons especially.  And yet, they keep bringing this stuff back as a sign that exclusivity isn't really a thing in Warframe. So how is it right that closed beta players get something that is completely exclusive, and nobody else ever again will have the opportunity to earn anything comparable? It might be different if a player now could get something of their own that was going to be super rare a few years down the road, like hey you were a beta tester? Cool lato vandal. I've got this Vorpal Spineripper from the very first time that Plague Star was introduced and now nobody else can ever get a Vorpal Spineripper again.  But DE decided not to do that.

Either exclusivity is a thing, which means every player should have the opportunity to get things in their own time that will some day be rare and special....or exclusivity is not a thing, so things should not remain exclusive. That's really the only two ways to make things fair.  Having a situation where you can never have anything exclusive unless you joined the game 5 years ago is how you make players frustrated and disenfranchised.

(* founder's gear excluded; this can and should remain exclusive for the reasons DE has outlined many times)

  17. I completely agree.  I like Warframe more when it's being noble, dark, mysterious, and beautiful. We are the Tenno, near legendary warriors that fight enemies across the system with every kind of weapon known, leaving a trail of blood, ash, and mutilated bodies everywhere we go. Flowers break the mood, just as goofy stuff like pumpkin heads and bunny ears do.  If other people want to treat Warframe as a cartoony game with whimsical stuff in it, that's their thing, but I don't want to see it because that's not the game Warframe started out as and that's not the game I signed up for.

Vacuum-for-all-sentinels arrived in 2016 Oct 6.  These stats predate the change, and show that while Carrier was the most popular sentinel, it was only the most popular by a small margin and certainly not ALL players.
