For some reason they removed authentication in a patch note when Whispers went live which meant you can't sign in on the website.
If there's any update it'll likely be later today, but even then I don't expect the problem to be fixed right away because that seems like a big security issue.
They fixed it-
Re-enabled the “Web Authentication” button on Nintendo Switch!
- After Update 35 launched, this button was not working as intended for a small group of players and would log them out of the website instead of authorizing their accounts as intended, so it was disabled in Hotfix #1 to prevent players getting stuck in a logout loop. Now that the button has been re-enabled, this group can now log into the website again!

CROSS PLATFORM TRADING & GIFTING
Tenno can trade with players on different platforms (depending on those players’ Cross Platform settings). Trading will function the same as gifting, except for trading Platinum between Nintendo Switch and other platforms, which is not available.
To make sure you can trade with friends or fellow Tenno across platforms, be sure you areusing a Cross Platform Save Account (or PC account*) and have Cross Platform Play enabled via your in-game settings. TennoGuard 2FA is required to trade in-game items with fellow Tenno in Warframe, which can be enabled via the Account Management page.
*PC accounts can automatically trade with players on other platforms — provided that both players still have Cross Platform Play enabled in their settings and that any non-PC player trading with them has a Cross Platform Save Account.
Trading Variables:
If Cross Platform Play is enabled & Cross Platform Save is enabled…
- Trade with all Cross Platform Save players.
If Cross Platform Play is enabled & Cross Platform Save is disabled…
- PC: trade with PC and Cross Platform Save enabled players

- Select the item you wish to Gift.

Select “Gift Item” Search for the username of the Tenno you wish to Gift.
- Who you are able to send Gifts to is dependent on your Cross Platform Play & Save settings.
Note that you cannot trade Platinum between Nintendo Switch and other Platforms.

Oh okay. Stopped playing like 3 years ago, came back when they announced a release date for cross save and I’ve noticed this cyclone symbol but didn’t know what it meant. It’s weird, why didn’t they use the symbols of each platform like other games with cross play?

Same here. I linked my Switch account to PC on Dec. 21, data transfer from Switch to PC went smoothly, however when I log-in to the forums with my Switch credentials (as I always do) it defaults to logging into my new PC account (new member, 0 posts, etc). As you can see I am now using my Switch account. The problem fixes itself and then comes back again. On my phone I am logged into the forums with my Switch account but on my PC it’s using my new PC forum account, I can’t seem to get it to force use my Switch account. Sometimes it’s the other way around. Not sure what’s happening. Seems like a bug as I’ve already seen several other users reporting the same issue.

Of course you won’t lose your plat. Your PC plat won’t get transferred but it will still be available on your PC account and you can use it when you play on your PC account.

Why didn’t you read DE’s guide on cross save or the FAQ? And even when you go to link/merge it clearly tells you which account’s progress will be lost and which will remain depending on the primary account you choose, color-coded as well and it asks you to confirm. It really sucks this happened to you (and quite a few others). Pretty sure you’ll need to wait till January. Next time please read. Sorry it happened to you.

That’s not true. I was able to do it. You’re using the word ‘merge’ here but it seems you want to link since you said you attempted to link. I log in to Warframe using my Nintendo account. I then chose the link option. It asked me if I had a PC account. I did not so I had to create one. My Switch account by default was labelled as my primary account (which is correct). It asked me to confirm which I did and then it took a few seconds for it to complete. My Switch account has been linked to PC and everything transferred to PC and I’m able to play on both platforms just fine.

Nothing’s going to happen. They said anyone who already linked/merged can continue playing with cross platform save feature. If they temporarily pause it for today then those who weren’t able to link/merge will have to wait till Jan 2024 (when they get back from their holidays).

There's no app. You can follow subforums so everytime a post is made in that subforum you get notified. You'll see the Follow button at the top. I get notifications by email. And no problem 😊

For a lot of us it's not early. I mean it's evening here. Also it's better they do it early. Tomorrow is Friday. Do you want to get it now before the Winter holiday starts or do you want to wait till January?

FYI, the Nintendo Switch Web Authentication is not the same as the TennoGuard Two-Factor Authentication. That said, you don’t need to activate two-factor authentication for cross save but you will need to activate it in order to trade with other players. If you don’t activate it you cannot trade.
