  1. wohoo, reward system from Scarlet Spear PLUS trophy! Made my day! Arcanes, Emblem, Palette and that awesome Signa. Sweet! (no sarcasm. yes, really.)

Hope the fish won't be too rude again (or was ist Loid that got on my nerves quite quick?) or else I gotta mute them :D I hope I don't miss a week of feeding the Gargoyle due to health issues or the holidays...that would be a rather sad way to lose the chance to get a trophy. Leaves no room to catch up if it is bound by weekly reset and not by putting in the required number of curses in total. But I'll do my very best o7 Thanks for the event.

P.S. For future stuff, maybe there could be a squad link or something like that? Maximum of 8 players in two squads. We're the tiniest clan, but if we're all online, we always gotta split up and can't enjoy stuff together.

  2. I hope the event will run long enough. By the time Gargoyle's Cry launches, there's no way all the bugs have been fixed from a new Mainline Update 4! days earlier and pressuring folks to burn through their quests (which they prolly want to savour at their own pace in these pre-Christmas days) to even participate is also a bad choice. Big dampener. I was genuinely happy and looking forward to a new operation... "Thanks" for that.

Edit: I can't emphasize enough just how much it distresses me that I can't decide for myself to explore the new content at my own pace if I don't want to miss out on something that's built around squad play and team fun. I love to "save up" a bit of new content for a while so I still have something to look forward to and to discover. Don't think I can do that this time. Not as a clan leader (no matter how small we are).

    'Most of the time'. Right.

That's why I specifically didn't say TennoCon , but TennoLive. But yeah, feel free to interpret that simple sentence your way.

Edit: And thanks @Naroxas44 , you got it :)

  4. Title already says it. I was only able to attend online / via stream and TennoLive was not about Tenno most of the time. For the first time I felt let down a bit.

The option I used was muting the stream and do something else entirely until Soulframe was finally over. I would have loved to hear more from Pablo, I sat there in awe at the live music performance, I was rooting for every Tenno who won a price etc. Literally every other second was cherished.

There was so much good content to show, so many interesting things to get hyped for, but they felt a bit.. uhm...like fillers in comparison to the Soulframe bracket (which honestly I would have alotted a completely separate Stream segment) and which I could've totally done without.

Thanks to everyone who made the event as a whole a success!

Pet texture fixes too please, its been too long.

    And there's more !
Cut off feet on Moonless Kavat
    Cut off tails on Predasite
Neck sticking into the head / head too far down on MOA
No patterns visible anymore and  no color in the palette looks the same on fur for Kubrows
And basically the same with Operator hair (ie 023). Ugly looking, greasy gloss treatment, with a non existent color accuracy.
Yes, they got the same "hair improvement" a year back as the Kubrows did.
And yes, for this easy fixable thing it has been way too long.

I find just using arquebex while slowing them down with something like zenurik's 2nd works well to kill them in like 15 seconds

Thanks for the hint :) I still hope though they do take a look at certain spawn behaviours.

  7. I started playing recently again after a longer break. What I remember from the Plains was, that Thumpers were there, respawned really fast but they kinda had their area where they appeared for me and when I kept my distance, I could still do bounties in peace.

Now? You can't shake these things. They are everywhere! Even if you give them a wide berth (in my case a Narmer Thumper) , the game will spawn them right behind you again once you land. In my case I got into Archwing and flew quite a distance ~600m. Just wanted to do my bounties, but with these things in the mission areas, that is quite difficult.
And when I finally had one of these bullet sponges down to 30% HP, a new one came crawling out of the earth right underneath my feet. So I had TWO of these pests.
Whatever was done with the spawn behaviour, it's borked. Only posting here because I have no idea if this is intended or a bug.
I wish all thumpers had a fixed route, would not spawn more than one at the same time and would stay away from active bounty areas -.- Also, if not engaged or agitated by getting too close, they should remain passive.

Also: The Tusk Dargyns flew above our heads in flocks of 6 and for every two we shot down, there were two new. Bit rediculous and way over the top.

    TL;DR
Check spawn and route behaviour of Thumpers&Dargyns in the PoE and make bounties great again.

  8. Regarding the Nightwave:
You have done well in locking and hiding certain challenges to avoid spoilers (or for whatever reason else).
Please also do that with the possible rewards.

    Spoiler

Rank 4 should not be visible, neither in Name, Preview or whatever.
The heck were you thinking? Sure, "NW isn't meant for new players anyway" but they will still look, because they need slots, potatos etc.
And since it is in your ship and navigation, of course one would click it.

  9. Please fix the messy, broken, overly glossy hair already. Or maybe I should say, remedy the improvement?
Not a single black from the entirety of the palettes is black anymore and the hair looks greasy.
Along with our Operator hair "improvement" several months if not a year ago, the Kubrows got the same treatment. They look like mangy mutts with no recognizeable pattern and the color accuracy is non existent. Kubrow breeding with that implementation is really fruitless.

I had hoped with this update and the finally improved lighting (it was blinding), I'd have a chance of hair returning to what it was.
    Comparison in spoiler

Also, since that seems to become a habit, please stop putting clothing on frames.

Last but not least: There is a thing like too much when it comes to idle animations. The Kaithe look like I play a YT vid with 2x the speed. It doesn't look fiery or agressive, but just broken.

(Will play new content otherwise in a few days, but these things just stood out right from the get go)

It doesn't do anything about the general screen brightness going up and down due to the ridiculously excessive dynamic range that the rendering engine seems to use internally. The tooltip says "exposure", but that doesn't mean that it actually does something meaningful or worthwhile. So no, I still get headaches when going between the navigation console and the arsenal in my ship because the whole screen gets painfully bright for a brief while.

I'm sorry to hear that. Thank you kindly for trying it out in my stead (I'm fiddling with a new harddrive). That toggle was collecting cobwebs in my settings, since I basically just switched it off some time around after I started playing. I never touched it again, but I thought they (DE) might've moved the exposure toggle there in the meantime and I simply didn't get it.
The screenshot is very helpful too! :)

  11. @DoomFruit What do you think of that? Apparently I pestered someone with my sheer stupidity of not knowing, that Color Correction is our supposedly missing toggle for Exposure. I can't test it currently, but that person sounds convinced, so I thought I'd share it here.

For easier understanding I'll quote the Tenno, so maybe one of you who can test that statement can look into it :) At this point I'm really just like "whatever works" *shrugs

Before you start brushing stuff off onto the supposed "adaptive exposure" removal...

GO READ THE "COLOR CORRECTION" DESCRIPTION

... And be amazed at one of the things it has included in its general setting... That will fix your problem.

However, some players in this thread are actually having hazardous consequences, a.k.a health issues, due to those flashes. If you're not one of them, then you do not even have the morality to say anything... Because if you actually read the description of the function I've literally just pointed out above, you theoretically wouldn't have wasted your time in this thread in the first place...

... But since its your time and not mine, do what you want with it... Just like I used a tiny portion of my time to tell you exactly what you have to read in order to find the supposed "missing option"...

  12. yup, noticed the change as well. It was after hotfix .3 at the latest, not even with the start of NW. Had to get my sunglasses again for RJ...

In regards to DE and the coming holidays I really do applaud the team behind the screens. They pulled off something really big. <3

Still, I refuse to applaud for "new is always better" and it's not the way forward with this "gem" of lighting engine or whatever the heck it is in non-layman terms that was messed up. Running graphics settings on that low stage just because the intensity can't be controlled otherwise is a pity.

  13. While I do agree that it is a long time without any reaction and folks really need that toggle, noone is forcing us. Nobody is in my room and makes me play a game that I know will hurt my eyes because of some bad decisions and "advanced graphics".
I'm too much of a noob to think of any reason why it should be impossible for such a good team at DE to re-implement that toggle. It simply is beyond me. It is within their skillrange, someone just doesn't want to. That's how it feels to me. All those new fancy things won't break if an Adaptive Exposure toggle is put back in. I mean it is a switch. Doesn't take anything fancy awayfrom those "normal" people by just being there. But that is just speculation, since I'm no programmer.
I wish that someday I can play on full setting again and Itzal wouldn't be bad.. hey, let me dream^^

Is this still an issue? Not sure I want to waste hours reinstalling this game yet...

Sure as heck it is if you mean you need a toggle for Adaptive Exposure back like we do. Otherwise... reduced settings, nightmode and/or sunglasses to balance out Autoexposure. They also seem to have fiddled with the camera position again. Would be nice if we could actually angle / position it ourselves to a certain degree, but yeah... *shrugs* What do I know, eh?
It was good before they decided it needed improvement for the first time and now it was improved again.
I don't want to sound salty, nor do I want to dampen your joy to play. I just don't like not telling issues I noticed when asked.
I bet for someone without health issues the game might look fine as is?^^

That might happen because you're using a female face.

Nope :D My operator is male, alsways has been. Even though the game determines gender with the face one chooses (without directly telling you what is what), one can't overlook the body changes followed by it. To me, the faces too are very distinct, but that might just be me.

Hint for choosing faces (bodychange aside) : If you look closely, you can see minimal differences in the "icons" or however the preview tiles for the faces are called correctly, if you look at the changes of the black suit in the chest area. Males will have a straight line v-shape, while said v is slightly curved at the very bottom of the v for females. Also there's "arrow" shaped triangles like > and < to the left n right near the armpits on the males.

I don't wanna hide anything, I just like the leg armor of the females better. ^^ Don't want no turnip legs, sorry Teshin, so I fully understand you with the chestplate, too.
Thing is, as far as I see it, we are not really having a fixed body and the clothing is wrapped around it, but it is more likely that the clothing is our body and the parts are being swapped out as we change armors. Hence, if one would like to cross combine an armor like the Bishamo, DE would need to make an additional set for each gender so we can freely swap. And they sure as heck have other priorities, but hey, I thought it'd be nice and I found this thread...

The "preview error" also only happens if I go directly to any NPC and preview the pieces there. Or if I preview Tennogen. In my operator menu or the regular market, that doesn't happen :)

nope, they haven't found the time to properly doing it (apparently) and it's understandable, New War looks massive

I was just being curious, since I get female preview on my male operator xD so I thought I better ask before buying. thanks

While I do see where the prices for RAya do come from, I'd still vote for a different calculation of the price of a single RAya.

DE oriented themselves based on previous Prime Vault packages. Which is fine. What is new so far is the chance to buy those previously bundled items single.
I'd suggest ~halfing the price of a single RAya. That way they and we could be way more flexible with ie Prime Sigils and Armor and whatnot. Even though I'm suggesting this price reduction, the cost of the bundles for RL cash shouldn't go down. Otherwise that'd be unfair.
There would be some recalculation needed of how much RAya which item should cost (Sigil = 1 Raya which would mean 3€ instead of 6€, Armor = 3 for example). So while the Mag bundle would still cost 37€, the amount of RAya to buy it would double.

Apologies for stammering like this, having a migraine today and have the speech capabilities of a 2year old it feels. And again, I don't wish for the frame-bundles to become chepar, I suggested a different calculation for RAya to make buying single items more attractive. Stuff that still gives you an edge in gaming like weapons n frames could still cost same as now. Just.. throwing my thoughts out here. That's all.

This is a good step on the right direction; im glad. Now, if you allow to us to buy accessories and such, directly from Varzia with platinum; will be a entirely success

That'd be my dream xD Prime Sigils for plat if I run out of RAya? Yesss <3
But don't get me wrong, I'm happy about these news as is

  19. @Edge-Oni Not really. I was just picking a really random recent example of what I still remembered I last wanted to buy and said 18 bucks is more doable and ok for me than 45.
If that sits better with you, I could pick the Mag Bundle which would cost me 37€, where I'd only be interested in the armor mostly. While I do think that paying 18 for a single item is still more than enough, it is stil considerably less money than the whole pack. At least for me atm... my car broke and now I'm broke.

@PollexMessier Thank you for being so kind to explain it to me regardless. I do get what you want to say :) I apologize if it sounded like I wanted you to do the detailed math for me, I just clumsily tried to point out I def couldn't do it. I do fully agree with the individual = expensive part though, if you look at the value of whole packs and not just the price.

  20. 15 hours ago, PollexMessier said:

The issue is that the prices are the same as they use to be for the same accessories. But without the bonuses.
They removed the stuff that was supposedly inflating the price but the price is still inflated.

edit: After doing some math on regal aya values compared to existing prime vault prices, it's actually a fair amount worse than that because the overall price, even assuming the most optimal purchases are made and disregarding platinum as a factor, are higher than they were before. By about $7.98

If you do actually take the platinum into account, at the absolute rock bottom plat to $ conversion of the biggest platinum bundle with a 75% off coupon, It's $12.97 more total is my math's correct.

Well, I say it upfront, your math would definitely be better than mine at any time, because I really suck at it. No joke.

So, with being bad at math, let me try to evaluate like this:
Current Prime Accessory pack with Nidus is 45€. I'm only interested in the mech skin, because it looks like Eden from FFVIII, but like heck imma go and pay those 45 bucks for a skin and the rest I don't even need.
I looked at the Royal Aya pack and it is ~18€ and I could buy Prime Armor and Sigil with it. Which is exactly what I want. I have no clue if that price (even though the RAya comes without any extras) is inflated, since most of the Prime Accessory packs come with stuff I don't care about while I want just a single piece.

    I hope that makes sense^^'
