Although I don't remember much other than worrying about a potentially broken headset it's altoghether a possibility that I may have lagged. I can confirm that it didn't freeze though.

The noise sounds like a bug to me. Were  you in a group or solo? If someone in the squad lagged just right it tends to mess with the sounds. 

I was going solo (no friends who play this game much anymore)

actually, it really took me by surprise; considering that it was the middle of the night my surroundings were relatively silent, so I am not being dramatic, remember how I had specified that I "almost broke my headphones in the process of reason 1." by that i mean that i actually to tore my headphones off of my head, as in handle them with excessive force, i almost broke them because I slammed them into my desk within a second since it startled me (although i guess startled is a bit of an inferior term), not because the volume was too loud because in fact it wasn't too loud at all, instead it was at the same volume as it always is (~50%). I had not specified that they broke by popping at all, and i already knew about the volume limitations so please dont assume.

So I was playing E Prime because it was a Kuva siphon area and soon i had finished the mission and extracted, but during the loading screen the game plays this REALLY loud static sound which alternated on and off. now i know for a fact that it was some kind of loading screen event like that red orokin text which comes around every once in awhile. but this one didnt make me feel as curious and full of awe for 2 reasons, 1, i had to tear my headphones off of my head since it was so loud, and 2, it scared the everloving hell out of me and i almost broke my headphones in the process of reason 1. anyone else get the same thing?

[Certain parts of my hud are much larger than they should be?]

My experience with this issue so far: certain parts of my hud are enlargened, they also have much lower quality, i've tried to use my hud scaling option yet it does not affect it, it works almost like the game is not using the right video resolution, which should be 1920x1080. the icons that appear to be enlargened are the currency display which is in the top left, anything depicting a boost (in my case it is 2x affinity), and generally everything else. it gets really distracting and annoying and though it isn't a dire need i really hope i can fix it. so far i've tried most of the ingame settings including defaulting everything. I believe that this issue showed up around octavia's release.

UPDATE AS OF APRIL 6 2017
I've been noticing my graphics are also now declining as well, some icons are becoming very hard to make out, and everything else has the same look that they'd have if I had set the graphics to their lowest setting. this game never used to act like this, and I'm unsure why. note that the game still runs the same on every setting, it says that the average ram usage is about 580 if that matters, though it does still run at 60 fps (in the ship).

You have to wait till the conflict has been resolved. Could take a while.

I completed an invasion mission three times for three fieldron. that was TWO HOURS ago, i dont remember having to wait two hours for battle pay. i'm getting frustrated because i keep doing missions over and over to see if that will work, yet with still no results. is my game glitched? or does it normally take this long?
