  1. WITHDRAWN - SEE BELOW

Running the sortie spy mission (Hellas, Mars) solo using Loki, I tripped the alarm in every vault despite being invisible and having had plenty of practice at all the vault types. It appeared that the drone spotted me despite my invisibility, alarms on all three vaults causing an exterminate condition before I could finish the mission.

I suspected it might be my sentinel, though it's not caused any problem before, so I ran some syndicate spy missions today. Playing solo with Ivara using Infiltrate, no sentinel or companion, I told the two helpers to hold position before leaving spawn. I completed a Corpus spy mission with no alarms including walking straight through several laser barriers, then failed again at Suisei, Mercury. I know I wasn't spotted because I'd been running Prowl since before I entered the vault.

To confirm the drones weren't spotting me, I took the same Ivara to the spy mission on Bode, Ceres. Straightforward vanilla mission (i.e. not syndicate or invasion or Lich territory, etc.), first vault had a Regulator Drone patrolling and it couldn't see me standing directly in front of it while in Prowl. I arrived at the first console to switch off the first scanner inside the vault, still in Prowl, activated the hack and the alarm was immediately triggered.

I've never had a problem being spotted through windows in the past, this has only occurred since using the Parazon to hack and only appears to be a problem in Grineer spy missions.

EDIT: Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair

I'd forgotten that I'd put the new Live Wire mod on my Parazon ... which shocks enemies within 20m while hacking. I thought it'd be useful for Corpus missions where I have to remove the lockdown status so, of course, it was that which was alerting the enemy by shocking them through walls as I tried to hack the spy vaults. I guess it didn't do anything on the Corpus mission because I'd already cleared any enemy out before starting my hack.

don't login for a week or more, then login back, it should increase your chances of a discount

I didn't log in for a couple of months, came back and got a 50% coupon. Then a couple of days later, another for 25%. That's 75%, right? 🤔

  3. This has happened to me twice now - we fight our way to the entrance to the Razorback arena, someone goes up to the door console and ... nothing. The door won't open, back-tracking appears to have us locked into a single tile. Nothing changes on host migration or if new squad members join.

Screenshot below shows the door has turned green after a new squad member tried to unlock it but it still refuses to open. The only option is to abort the mission and try again. At least the Razorback cipher doesn't get used.

This is purely speculation but it may be caused by someone trying to open the door manually and failing (obviously). Both times I've noticed that the first player to reach the console appears to spend longer than it would take to activate a cipher.

This happened to me tonight also during a Twitch stream.  Only difference was that I didn't get the mission failed screen. Just "Host Migration" and back to my ship.

Same here while doing an excavation run at Hieracon last night. One second we're happily playing, host migrates and I'm back in the ship, last mission results only showed the mission before.

  5. He turned up today as we were running the nightmare no-shields mission on Neptune. Didn't take long for the first squad member to quit but then the others agreed with my suggestion that we leave him with his buddies and finish the mission. I had my Wolf-ready secondary and melee weapons as I was levelling a primary but he was level 75 and they were barely scratching him. I don't see anything wrong with running away from an unwinnable situation, at least we earned a Constitution mod from the nightmare.

Still never seen the wolf in a pub game.

How?! He showed up four times yesterday for me. And appeared to target me over the other players every time. I'm beginning to think there's something personal about it. 😣

  7. Yep, had the same yesterday while doing Invasion missions on Ceres. In my case it was mostly in the Thon mission, players had no option but to quit out to allow those who'd got through to extract.

  8. Same thing in the Thon invasion mission. Doesn't matter what mission type is being played, at some point some of the squad get stuck behind a door that won't open - in my last attempt it was the first door on leaving the spawn area! This has happened 5 times in a row for me, I'd have quit already but I've managed to get 2/3 completions and I need those detonite injectors!

  9. Wait until someone's running a level 30-40 mission solo in order to clear the final mission on that planet, preferably with an enemy like the Infestation because they'll attack as a mob and a mission type like Defection so there are innocent bystanders the player has to protect and then spawn in the Wolf and his posse of immortal convicts just as the player gets the first squad of defectors to the med-station.

Although that just happened to me and I'm struggling to see the funny side. 😒

  10. He's popped up twice for me today, the first time shortly after a syndicate sent Ancients to punish one of my team mates, the second while playing defence in the Void after the first rotation when one player had dropped out. Though we seemed to have more trouble getting the convicts to go down than the Wolf but as they were level 52 and seemingly immune to status effects, I guess that makes sense.

  11. I'm a new player (and poster) but I've experienced a few other big f2p titles and I don't think I've ever read a goodbye thread as eloquent or heartfelt. I understand that you have your reasons and I admire your resolve, though I'd be tempted to scale back my ambition rather than push to always be ahead when the new content drops. That's easy for me to say though, I've got 6 years to make up before that becomes a concern!

All the best for whatever the future brings you, I hope to one day bump into you in a mission regardless. 🥗*

    * That was supposed to be a salute but the emotes installed on this forum only had 'salad' so .. uh .. I hope you have a nice lettuce ... 🤔

Oh, you've really been shafted by Nightwave then... in more ways than just syndicate standing! I remember Alerts were very helpful as I was working my way up to Neptune and then a friend showed me Index. I didn't even realize it was on Neptune and that you could earn credits so quickly!

On the contrary, I think Nightwave is marvellous, it's opened my eyes to a lot of content I'd previously put on a back burner because I thought I should focus on unlocking the star map and levelling up before tackling it. I wouldn't have started fishing or mining without NW, nor would I have my new-found love for Zaws. I'm nowhere near being ready for an Eidolon hunt but that's fine, that's later-game content I can look forward to and in the meantime I get to practice running away from over-powered mobs on the Plains. 😁

    Oh that sucks 😞

It's not all bad, I forged it first thing today and managed to rank it to 30 already by playing defence on repeat, got the Wolf twice in a row and ended up feeling sorry for the victims because even as a stock Zaw with basic mods and a stance, it's like playing easy mode.

I won't be able to gild it before the NW missions change thanks to the daily standing limit but at least it'll be ready for when I get the rank I need, then I'll gild and potato it and probably sell all my other melee weapons before getting lost in a min/max world of Zaw components.

You can gild an Amp. Are you Adherent in Quills? If you're mostly ranked in Observer then there is hope for you! Though, I guess you can't really make a good Amp for Teralyst without crafted alloys/gems of rare fish parts both of which requiring blueprints gated by Ostron standing.

I understood some of those words, like "standing" and "fish" but the rest don't mean anything. 😕

I've been playing mostly solo and haven't completed Saturn yet. I'm aware that Quills is a group in Cetus, possibly another syndicate (no spoilers please) but I'm in no rush. I'll get my second Ostron rank tomorrow and that should allow me to get the Murkray bait so I can do that mission for NW, then it'll be roll-over day and I'll discover missions for more content I still haven't unlocked. 😀

Well don't forget that Syndicates date back waaaay before PoE and Fortuna, so they have decided that they didn't like the instant max levelling and gone a different route to make content last longer.

That's fair enough, I've no issue with content being behind a grind. I have a bigger problem with my personal inability to read things properly and only realising as I tried to gild my new Zaw that I'm two ranks too low to do it. 😣
