  1. Repro:

Finished Intro mission. Installed Arsenal Component. Went to Nav console & scrolled around, then chose Earth mission to get the Comm component.

    Completed mission

Returned to ship and installed Comm component. Looked at new items on market,

Tried to return to Navigation console (no X, could not interact with any actions, clicks, keys)

Returned to market, went through tabs (ship AI talked to me once)

Returned to Navigation (still no interaction possible)

    Quit & Restarted

    Navigation Console now works

  2. I like where your head's at. I think there's def. room for improved stealth & cover.

Here's what I think would improve, and why a dif. cover mechanic would be unique to current:

    1) Each player has an individual 'aggro' for basically "how detected they are by enemies"- this fixes Decoy issue (they notice decoy but your 'aggro' is at 0 still if not spotted), and also fixes when your Rhino/Ember buddy charges ahead blasting while you stealth and f's up your careful kill as everyone turns and runs/blasts on you- now instead they would just blast on the chargers and still not notice you.

    2) Taking 'cover' (holding crouch while near obstacle) and NOT firing begins to reduce your personal aggro (mods could even effect this speed). When you are at 0, they don't notice you unless you draw attention, but still fire on your loud Tenno friends. Leads to strategy.

I imagine why we don't have something like this is partly because its way easier to code a general alerted/not alerted state for enemies & tracking individual player aggro can lead to mixups/ dumb AI like we see in many games. DE is trying to get a LOT out in each update, so I also say we should give em time to do stealth right (soon though I hope!).

  3. It's mentioned above, but I think the coolest fix to sniper rifles would be to (naturally do a stat check & update also but..)

    - Extra crit & Damage multiplier on headshots (mayyyybe on Banshee weakpoints too)

That way bows can be the piercing weapons, pinning fools to walls or shredding a line of enemies, & snipers can reward precision aim with 1 shot 1 kill  as they should (would take quite a bit of skill in this frantic paced game, it would be rewarding for those who can do it!)

[special case: Lanka- also has innate punch-through as it does now. Makes it a worthy weapon afterall & compensates for slow fire ]

  4. I was thinking the same thing recently. Here are my ideas to share since you spawned the thread already:

    Visuals:

    - Might sorta look like Black Widow's weapons. Animations: wrist forward with other hand on forearm when active. Current firing tube raises up. Rotates & raised tube switched to the next firing tube each shot.

    (totally silent weapon, yes!)

    Stats:

    - VERY high status chance, reaching 100% or more when modded (this is what I imagine core function of weapon is)

    - Low firing rate (0.8) & clip size (like 5-8) so its more a careful aim, guaranteed status, repeat.

    - 1.0 reload seems cool

    - Base damage maybe 50 Puncture, 15 Impact 10 slash in my imagining (or even just puncture & impact)

    Special

This is my idea of why it would not totally suck in the way less badass stats above:
+30% base status effect increase - Status (including impact stagger & puncture weaken!) almost always happens on a hit & to greater effect.

new mods could alter this (for other weapons as well but benefitting this weapon greatly)

ex: Corrosive/Puncture/Freeze/Radiation have longer duration;  Fire/Toxin have greater damage per tick ; Viral/Magnetic reduce health/shields more. Electricity chains more?stuns longer?

It seems like this would be pretty powerful as a silent, careful, guaranteed status proc & quite ninja-themed! In a pinch, you could light a nearby foe on fire, or slow them down to get yourself some space, but mainly I picture it an assist weapon for your team (or self: ex. guaranteed corrode or magnetic proc, then stealth attack for sure kill!)

    [my 2+ cents :)]

  5. Latest art looks really neat! I love the stripe patterns too. Would be so cool to be able to play a frame like this and Typhus concepts.(whatever their dissimilarities and powers ended up as- they are both visually really cool!)

    - The very chitinous/scaly look seems to be  a theme in both designs, so maybe some event could lead to a new Warframe resource that's used in construction of both frames (like the Oxium idea they had, but  related to the more organic Infested tilesets since they recently had an overhaul?)

  6. Hi,

I was running a late night T3 Exterminate solo, and near the exit at the end, in a long hall full of pressure plates and pop-up cover with some side areas containing capsules...

    Repro

    1) I did a wall run for speed along the left hand side of the hall, an passed right through the wall into an alcove with lasers

    2) I became stuck in this alcove, behind a wall plate and could not exit or complete the mission ( probably lost a damn Rhino Prime Blueprint too :( )

*As a side note, slashing the wall with orthos prime left a trail of bullet holes along it- maybe that's the only texture you have for hits, but maybe another bug

  7. I think his discussion actually reveals that the adjustments to Trinity were positive. We ran the Suspicious Shipment missions with no Trinity, and did just fine-- not saying that's cool or anything, just saying it should never have REQUIRED Trinity to run, but Trinity should be useful, the same as other frames should be.

People explain how Trinity can be useful still above & it takes some skill now & lots also want a bit more challenge in the game! Everything will be ok.

  8. This might be a crazy idea, but what if Overload did amped damage based on allies in the field? Like arced between the other Warframes.

I know there could be "technicalllly" responses to that, but the idea is it might make for really fun gameplay if the squad could cluster around Volt for a bigger nuke! Squad dynamics could improve overall too

  9. Cool ideas. Smite still just doesn't resonate for me, but your ideas are great improvements for all. Armor should totally be upped too! That's an easy one.

I still think Reckoning putting a temp shield on allies that absorbed a few hundred+ damage would be a cool adjustment and keep in theme

  10. I still think Teleport should give you a stealth attack or a counter (like with Valkyr's ability) That would be really fun! Group stealth Smokescreen would be cool too, even if it took an extra specialized mod or something.

  11. Quickshot  would be fun! could open more combos too, but too much DMC might not be a good thing (I do hope anim team gets to work on more unique combo anims for existing air & slide attacks, or just more variety- melee is super fun now)

Also, could open up new mods that increase Quickshot accuracy/damage etc for sidearms, or maybe some sidearms are better at quickshot? (Vastos :D)

  12. I agree, Freeze is still pretty lackluster and hope it gets better AOE

(and Frost eventually can make Ice-slides on the ground with a sep power or mod to slow enemies and act as bridges like he's in the Xmen...but I digress ;))

    * Wanted to share this for Freeze + Melee 2.0 though, to help find some fun in it:

    1) Equip fist weapons with squad

    2) Knock down a tough enemy (like a boss)

    3) Freeze em point blank, on the ground

    4) Mob ground& pound!!

This is super fun/hilarious and will often kill them if you are ranked up and channeling :D

  13. bigger problem is that the crystals i farmed before downtime are going to be expired before i can use them to start nikana.

I hope they fix that too, but that was sort of out of their control.  I still think the 'decaying' part is fine/interesting for a lab resource, but the random/scarcity on top of that is what makes it not fun. Also, if your clan could 'share' them (like in research pool), it would be better,   Yes/No?

(its the "you need 3 of these random rare things yourself, and you better get all 3 pretty quick or they will be gone and you start over" that really bites for folks with work?)

Edit: & thanks OP for starting this thread, and making the point, Its a great topic that does need constructive fixes!

  14. yeah, I was super excited to build the Nikana, and gave all my argon to the lab... My clanmate got his built as soon as the B was ready, and even got the Dragon upgrade, and we have since gone on like 10 tower runs including a few 30 min t3 survivals with 0 Argon.

With the recent DDoS, I just lost the 1 Argon I finally found too.

    Suggestions:

    * The idea of a decaying resource is interesting, and the Nikana being more rare is interesting too, but it seems like a c-block to actual fun times at this current implementation, which you can 'buy' out of (= bad free-to-play model).

    * For 'elite' weapons:  I would rather see a higher rank barrier at 'must be rank 8 to use, rank 10 for Dragon' & some weapons/upgrades clan research only.  ie. Maybe everyone can buy a Nikana (DE needs $, and players might not have time/clans but still want the cool looking sword & funtimes) but only high-ranking Tenno in clans will wield the Dragon version.

    Advantages:

-Feels  more like you "earned" it over duration of play

    - You can also play wherever you want to get leveled up, so you are not stuck farming the same dang map over and over and hoping for RNG

    - The whole clan can help with any initial Research rare mats - making  the strain + reward shared by all your crew encouraging teamwork and shared results!

    - When a clanmate ranks up and can earn his Dragon BP, you can have a rank party for them! This is all fun, and no one is really excluded by odds

    * vs *

Current: Grind that one type of map again and again for more RNG, hoping for resource-before you can even build--- now wait.

    - Grind for rank, forma, stance etc. (these alone are more than enough grind, I think & many can be great Alert rewards to save on that)

  15. Hi Devs,

I was playing T3 Survival last night at about 11:30pm & had a nasty bug occur! We barely made it out but it was no fun:

Repro: Melee killed lots of enemies & used jump +Tailwind to move around a bit. Triggered life support (around 10-15min marks I think)

Results: Became stuck on the ground...only melee attacks or rolling, or jump+Tailwind would let me move. Only melee attack string could change direction. Seemed to be in crouched/agile anim pose here.

Escaped this state once after making it to another larger room, but then it occurred again immediately after triggering life support (it was as if I was vacuumed to the floor with the activation :))

Did not effect other player, only me.

    Frame: Zephyr,

    Anim: Noble anim set,

Weapon: using Dual Ether in melee mode, no stance

    Other Players: Rhino frame (Khoritasha)

Hope you can fix it because it was pretty brutal & we had been having SO much fun with melee 2.0 until then!

Also, unrelated(?) the very  next mission we did (T1 survival) kicked me at 30 min and had a fatal error in network (message something like "Cannot find player"- don't remember, sorry) so I lost all the hard-earned loot :(

Thanks & keep up the good work!

  16. Cataclysm- ...These grab targets, rip them apart, absorb them, and replenish Typhus.

It might be a bit exotic, but here's another idea for a 4 power that could accomplish the above

    Dread Feast

    * Same pose animations as original Cataclysm w Typhus' tendrils extending into ground

    * a series of toothed maws erupt around enemies, dropping them partly into the floor and chomping down to hold them in place.

    - spawn areas based on enemy locale like Tornado, -locks enemies in place to help team, deals d.o.t., -Typhus regenerates (health?) with d.o.t. From 'feeding'

Just sharing ideas! The sketch for your new 4 idea is really cool too (but I loved the original )

  17. Thanks for the thread res! & I agree Hyperion is a rad name & very Warframe sounding too! Changed the thread title accordingly.

Other ideas I kicked around recently:

-Solaris might work as an alt name too (better if it were a female frame perhaps?)

-Sol and Invictus could be cool helm names if the frame was called Hyperion perhaps (keeping with theme)

    - For additional thematics (like the 'pirate' addition to Hydroid) maybe this could be a Monk/Priest type frame found meditating at the heart of a star in deep space, for epic feel! :D With the addition of solar-rails, I was inspired for that sort of concept flavor

Always awesome to see other Tenno's ideas added too!
