  1. I've been farming Gara parts non-stop since the update went live, stopping only to sleep for 8 hours.

I got dozens of credit caches, "uncommon" stances, endo, lenses and 2 set mods. Not a single Gara part.

It's been a day and a half and i'm already burning out on this update, and it's because of the damned RNG-based rewards system the whole community has been vehemently complaining about for.
The only thing i find fun to do is hunt eidolons, but since you can only do that at night that means i'm wasting 2/3rds of my time waiting for the sun to go down.

If this update is aimed at new players, then DE chose to introduce them to everything bad about Warframe in go without leaving much room for what makes it good.
I'm burning out with 4 bounties per cycle, but imagine a new player that has gear only good enough to do the lowest level bounty every cycle.
What are they gonna do once they've done their bounty to wait for the next ? They fish for 3 hours ? Scratch that, they won't even be able to play at night-time without getting one-shot by sentient drones.

  2. Everytime i'm gonna see people using Hema, my default thinking will no longer be "whoa, those guys have one...what badasses." as with most rare things in the game.

My default thinking is gonna be "Man, those guys payed 225 plat each for that weapon ?"....because it will be so many times as likely that they bought them instead of crafting them.

Thats currently my total hours played. I know for a fact that I played a crapton of ODD and ODS especially back when it had prime parts. And I had around 4930 mutagen samples. Thats the amount I had in my entire warframe carreer. And this one single item took everything I have. This is a new low for grinding standarts. Thank lord I am in a ghost clan and my friends could donate the rest. I feel truly sorry for any higher tiered clans. This cost needs to be changed.

    I'm a solo player in a 1-man clan.

I'll never get to use that weapon unless they divide that amount by a solid 100x.
I won't go farming for any more than 50 of those things. It already takes hours on ODD, a map that isn't challenging and on which nothing else worthwhile drops anymore.

This game is turning into a chore at this point. No, it's worse than that.
It's as if my boss asked me to do a career's worth of work to earn 1 month of pay.

I have 2259 hours of gameplay and till now i've spent some dozens(not more than 30) of mutagen samples for building stuff and now i have 683 them.

I have 3320 hours, but as a solo player i had to research and build everything alone and for that i have played enough derelict defense for a lifetime.

Farming for 5K mutagen masses alone would take months of dedicated farming. I'm not even going to try unless they divide that amount by a solid 100x or if they make something actually challenging/worthwhile to do to get them.

  5. ...I don't think whoever decided this amount of resource for a weapon could possibly have good intentions towards the community, but i understand DE is running on minimum staff for the holidays, so maybe some evil-doer might have taken this opportunity to sneak into DE headquarters and did their best to make as many players ragequit and burn out as they could at once.

Given this possibility, i'm ready to give DE the benefit of the doubt as long as they reinforce their security and fix the ridiculous research pricing down to an acceptable amount. Like 5000 -> 50 at most. It already takes hours to gather this amount of resources and the only way to do so is by killing low level infested, which gets boring after about 1,49 seconds on average.

By the way, (because i can't really just post without bringing new information to the table), i'm a solo player who created a 1-man clan because i wanted to get all the gear knowing i wouldn't be consistently active enough to be in a bigger clan. I take pride in gathering more resources than i should to get my gear, but i feel like i shouldn't explain how farming for YEARS (as some have made the math before) for a single weapon is ridiculous.

  6. I've got a "Complete a survival mission with level 30 of higher enemies without killing anyone 0/1"...

...I've spent the last hour running every single survival node with lvl 30+ enemies on the starchart as Ivara and it never unveiled.
I've unequipped sentinels/kubrows/kavats as well as syndicate weapons or anything that could deal damage out of my control and i didn't fire a single shot.

This new system needs some serious debugging.

EDIT : i just got it unveiled. I still don't know what went wrong, but it might have something to do with me re logging after those tries.

I think the Operators should at least be allowed to carry a secondary weapon. I mean, void powers are nice, but if I'm personally (meaning, not using my warframe) going into an area full of people who want to kill me, at least give me a pistol. :P

I think they should improve the laser instead. Make it have the same effect as your school's power for exemple. Turn enemies to stone, deal more damage, heal allies and such.
Same for the knockback (with an increase in base range as well).

  8. Um...about the operator respawning from the frame instantly without consequence upon death...

Your frame loses all of its energy when that happens, so yeah, there are pretty big consequences if you ask me.
It's the single thing that prevents me from ever going out of my warframe, because if i die (which isn't hard with 100 health, 0 armor and 0 shield, literally anything one shots you instantly) i lose 100% of my energy. It has consequences, it's even overpunishing given how weak it is to use in the 1st place if you ask me.

  9. I raise you this !

(Sorry, i couldn't get my bbcode to work:()

    Laser Rifle Zetinak

    • +12.7% Flight Speed
    • -13.3% Recoil Reduction
    • -6.2% Puncture

What's Laser rifle you ask ?
Laser rifle is Wyrm's basic weapon and the mod can't even be equiped on its prime counterpart for some reason.

The wiki says this about the laser rifle :
" The Laser Rifle is, without exception, the single weakest weapon available to Sentinels, and indeed the entire game. Thus it is recommended to replace the Laser Rifle and equip it with a more powerful Sentinel weapon like the Sweeper or the Deth Machine Rifle if possible."

That along with the fact that the mod reduces its primary damage component (80% of laser rifle's damage is puncture) in favor of recoil reduction and projectile flight speed, make this mod a very solid contender for the title of "worst mod in game".

Extending the event is more than enough compensation for losing out on event time. especially since the entire thing was able to be completed in like a 30 minute window out of the days they gave us.

    Don't get greedy .

Some people don't have time to play outside of weekends. Extending the event on weekdays won't do anything for them.

I use charge attacks, certain weapons have very fast charge attacks, like daggers, whips and gunblades. They're pretty awesome and have guaranteed as far as  know kd effects. You can move while charging thus while approaching enemies you can charge an attack and start the engagement off with a charged attack which often is devastating on its own.

Yes, you can move towards enemies while charging attacks...at walking pace for 90% of this game's weapons.

We used to be able to charge it while sprinting/sliding towards enemies with every single one of them and without needing to swing in the air beforehand.
It's true that thrown weapons and gunblades are effective with charged attacks thanks to their ranges and other effects, but they remain a very small minority.

I'm not saying the current system is all bad and should be thrown away, i'm just implying it could be better as we KNOW it can thanks to the fact the devs DID make charge attacks work much better a while back. I'm not only talking about usefulness, but also aesthetics and fun-factor. Stopping mid-sprint to swing at nothing before charging an attack looks pretty useless and cuts me off my own warframe's control for too long to justify using it most of the time. It feels simply off.

I played with melee 1.0 and I have to say it: the charged attacks we have now are nothing compared to those. I think DE rushed a bit their reintroduction, and some weapon felt more the change (glaives and weapon with added mechanics tied to charge attacks). IMO they should fix them by 1)removing the attack before the charge 2)fix the interference with "hold" combos 3)make charge speed proportional to attack speed. If they do that charged attacks will be funny (and practical) once again.

I think we all agree about the fact that the first attack has to go (i have yet to meet anyone that supports the contrary).

I didn't think all that much about charge speed, but now that you mention it since the mods that improved it are gone, the suggestion to make it scale directly on attack speed makes a lot of sense. Thanks !

I am a human I live to adapt. Sure the old system was more friendly to use. This one is more effective and easier to use when you get the hang of it with blocking + extra damage

Uh ? How is this system more effective or how does it deal extra damage compared to the old one ? It wasn't just more friendly to use, but more practical and above all else more responsive. It just felt so right. I guess we would need an option to chose since apparently you like this one better.

  14. 1 minute ago, ScorpioneITA said:

Not sure what weapons you are using for charge attacks. Regardless in some situation I'm better with charge than normal hence why I personally use them and quiet often I must add.

Fair point. That answers my first question, but what about the second ? Did you play with melee 1.0 ? Wouldn't you like to be able to charge while sprinting without swinging your weapon beforehand like it worked before ?

  15. 1 minute ago, ScorpioneITA said:

    I use them.

Some combos require you to use them.

Why slam E 3times when I can just charge attack?

True, but why slow down to a crawl, swing a normal attack, wait almost a second while still slowed and THEN perform a strong attack while you could just start charging while running towards your target and chop it in half without so much downtime ?

  16. Melee 2.0 is one of the best thing that happened to this game, but it made it without charged attacks. I miss those.
Sure, they were re-implemented later but the forced normal attack before charged attacks ruins it. It slows you down to a crawl before you even start charging, and they hardly compensates for the downtime. Even if they did, I'd still not use them because of how wrong it feels. My character just doesn't look like he's doing what i tell him to.

Sure, I've seen the devstreams and they said it wasted time before normal attacks...but sparing 0.01 second before normal attacks to punish charged attacks with almost a full second of doing nothing doesn't seem any more "responsive" while making charged attacks impractical and clunky. It might complicate things that we have stances now, but it's really worth the additional work to pull charged attacks from gimmicky weirdness to viable glory (and with a more long-term solution than band-aid type "solutions" such as the sancti magistar). At least as an option if anyone notices a delay before normal attacks (which i really don't) and wants to keep the new system.

Do you guys really used charged attacks before this weapon ? Does anyone that played back in melee 1.0 prefers the new system ?

  17. Yeah. I hate that kind of sneaky nerf. I hope it's just a bug.

It was fun to press the reload button after every shot. Felt more involved, like i was hitting the lever myself before pulling the trigger. Now it feels just like any other sniper to me.

But maybe that's just me. Regardless, if a change is intentional, it should ALWAYS be mentioned in the patch notes.

  18. Honestly, the old system was fine imo. What made some people hate archwing so much was the lack of content outside of weapons and other archwings.
You had to run so many times the same 4 missions over and over again to get everything, it made on-foot grind seem fun.
The feeling that they had to start over since the on-foot progression they worked for had no bearing on the archwing side of things certainly didn't help.

The only thing that made me and my clan keep playing it was the way archwing handled. You could FEEL the star wars inspiration, like the nimble millenium falcon going inside the relatively HUGE death star to destroy it from the inside. You basicaly felt like a fly dashing through a doorway right before it closed at each corner.
I was looking forward to the chase gamemode as i thought i would feel like a mosquito stinging an elephant until it collapsed under it's own weight, but i didn't expect to end up playing AS an elephant chasing a mosquito around...

Sabotages used to be me and my clanmates, afterburners blazing, not letting go of spacebar until we destroyed the core, and then racing each other back to extraction.
Now, you can't even take corners while sprinting as moving the camera isn't enough to make tight turns anymore, and trying to compensate by strafing irremediably results in you getting hurled into walls because of the side roll. My teamates won't even play archwing anymore if they can avoid it and i wish i could disagree with them because i really tried to make it work ! I spent almost an hour training in solo sabotage and fine-tuning the new archwing-specific sensibility sliders, but it just doesn't do the job.
I don't have anybody to heal with the Amesha, now. I genuinely dread the upcoming archwing races if we have to run them like this.

The ONLY thing i would keep from this archwing iteration is the ability to shoot forward while sprinting/afterburning. It alows me to shoot my way through windows without slowing down. Otherwise, i think the old system was better in every regard and i would give anything to at least have the option to enable it in the menu.
