  1. ... or also, for years, you could have included proper tutorials and help guides within the game. In this way, it would not be necessary for new (and veteran) players to be forced to visit pages external to the game, such as the Wiki (a page that, by the way, is not even managed by DE).

But I get it, it's much easier to add a chat tab for others to do the work that you haven't done for years.

    Keep up the good work.

  2.

When a warframe is said to be "good" or "bad". On what basis is it considered? I think there are no good or bad warframes. I think there are useful or unnecessary skills. And when a warframe is using 2 or more unnecessary skills, it's when reworking is necessary.

I think there are 3 premises to consider for a warframe to be useful or unnecessary:

    1. One warframe is useless when it is less efficient than another to do the same task.

    2. A warframe is useless when your abilities do things that my weapons can already do.

    3. The time to use an ability and affect (N) the number of enemies is greater than the time it would take to kill them with my weapons.

    Examples of useless skills:

    • Chroma 1 and 4.
    • 1 of Volt.
    • 1 Ash (when used without magnification).
    • Ash 4.
    • Equinox 4.
    • Hydroid 1 and 2.
    • Atlas 1,2,3,4.
    • 4 of Banshee.

By cons, a warframe is useful to the extent that:

    1. It does something / offers a utility that no other warframe or weapon can replace.

    2. All his 4 skills are useful.

    3. His damage abilities kill in such a way that my weapons could not.

    4. Their skills are synergistic.

    5. Your skills scale with the level of the enemy.

Example of skills that meet all these premises:

    • 1,2,3,4 from Loki.

Example of skills that meet some of these premises:

    • Revenant 4.
    • Rhino 4.
    • 1,2,3 of Wukong.

They are just examples, I hope the general idea is captured.

Oho, the classic response when not in the mood for logical, reasoned discussion. Farewell, and I wish you luck in conveying your message in a useful way next time.

I am open to talking to you in an educated, productive and respectful way. Maybe you want to try a first contact differently?

If you truly hate everything about Warframe and its developers, you're always free to leave. If you truly love Warframe and the potential that it has, you need to explain how you would want to improve things and not just scream at the devs and insult their mothers, or whatever you were trying to do with the original post.

What were you hoping to achieve with this?

First, improve your reading comprehension skills. When you're done, come back here. Maybe I'll answer you the second time.

    And bring up other issues.
Where would these servers be located? At Canada where DE is. All over the world? How do they pay for the servers? How is decided to which server you connect? How would you play with the people you want to play with?
If I wanted to play with my brother in the same building, the ping would be perfect. But if we first had to connect to a server in, let's say, spain, the ping wouldn't be as good.

It seems as if other gaming companies have never solved the problems you quote.

I do wonder why the railjack would replace the orbiter though? Is the Orbiter lacking in something?

If you are a Railjack owner, the Orbiter is redundant. It should only be used as a ground transport ship, as it currently is. And given the size of our Railkack, the Railjack could be the "mothership" that the Orbiter carries.

I completely agree with OP. In its current state, Railjack is just a huge, underutilized and charmless space.

I agree with all the opinions expressed. Expect this thread to disappear soon, sorry I meant 'merged'.

I wouldn't be surprised. But as I say in my post, I have many other places to express exactly the same and DE cannot cover the sun with a finger. Who knows, maybe they'll even take the situation seriously.

DE talked about reducing grind at the start of 2020. I think it's high time they deliver on that promise.

I agree with everything expressed in your post. Regarding this, for now they are heading in the opposite direction and there is no sign indicating their intention to change. I'm even seriously considering quitting the game, and that's something I never really thought about doing, even in the darkest stages of Warframe.

  10. DE, I'm going to give you the best possible feedback. I'm going to tell you how I feel as a player and as a client; what I feel and what I perceive of your product called Warframe and what I feel and think of your company at this time. This is the feedback section.

DE, you have either lost your mind or you urgently need a new management team. You are no longer the company I met 7 years ago. This is what I sincerely perceive and feel about you and your product. I do not know what is happening to you, but you are heading quickly and certainly to a precipice with no way out.

I am absolutely fed up with update after update delivering incomplete, poorly designed, no tutorials, insane grinding and buggy content. Enough DE.

You have become worse and your product reflects your status. Scarlet Spear is another sample from your long list of failures, which already joins Liches and Empyrean.

This is the opinion of a client on a product called Warframe.

  11. The Liche system was not enough. The disastrous opening of Empyrean was not enough. Now comes Scarlet Spear, the system that promised to "unite" the islands of content and what do we have? Another absolute failure, another cheating on the player and another poorly designed system. No, SS does not unite game modes and does not bring anything really new to what we already have. Plus, punish solo players with infinite and frustrating grinding. As if that were not enough, SS uses Railjack as its central system, which is itself an isolated and boring system.

Meanwhile, the myriad aspects of the game that need urgent rework remain neglected or half-hearted, and the main core of the game has been a victim of the same poor design decisions for years.

    -Awazx.

Edit: This reddit post says in other words what I'm trying to convey:

So, people. We have come here today, to the point where, we as a collective, might, and just might, finally say: 'We have had it, enough is enough.'

Lets be painfully honest, to ourselves, and to DE. I think the time has come. This is yet another broken update. Crash and bug ridden, and don't even get me started on the GRIND. Since the announcement of railjack, 2 years ago, the game has gone downhill. Almost all major content has been like this, and sucked. It all took way to long to get released, and when it eventually did, its virtually unplayable. I feel like DE just goes on for the New Shiny Idea, every time without looking back. Maybe they do, but are too pre-occupied with the New Shiny Idea. DE has ~300 employees. What the hell are they all doing for every update to be this bad?

There are NO more excuses left. Every promise has run dry. You cant white knight/keyboard warrior anymore.

Everything has 'potential' but potential isn't a game.

Every 3 months DE offers a 45-125 euro pack for 5 cosmetic items (accessories and a prime wf thats basically the same wf with a bit of an upgrade in stats and better looks). Truly disappointing.

Warframe is a fashion store and has a game.

  13. Chroma needs a complete rework.

It's so bad and it's so poorly designed, it wouldn't matter if it was removed from the game.

    1. Your 1 is unnecessary. I don't need another Ignis. Give me something that complements my weapons or my usefulness. Give me something my weapons can't do, my god.

    2. It is hard for me to imagine how and why it was decided in DE that this thing badly done, without grace and without any magic was right. No comment.

    3. Chroma's salvation for his niche as "eidolon hunter". Beyond that, another graceless skill.

    4. Same problems as your 1. By comparison, my Wukong spectrum is infinitely stronger, lasts indefinitely, and only consumes 25 energy.

Honestly, DE would have to think about the advisability of keeping those who do things so bad among their workforce. The reluctance is perceived.

I just hope this isn't a one and done with quality and we have to wait another 4 years for more spice.

I lost that kind of hope a long time ago with DE.

  15. We need a new solar system, with new enemies, new combat dynamics, new missions, and where the smallest enemy is level 100+.

For example, the boring rescue mission, reworked:

    -Enemies: level 100 to 200.
-Forget the closed and corridor maps: you have to rescue a Tenno agent from a secret jail on a mountain hill. The mountain is heavily protected, with heavy weaponry, tanks, missile turrets and heavy artillery.
-The assault on the mountain is a fight to the death against endless ORDAS of enemies. And if you reach your goal, the fight continues until you save the target.

I think the idea is captured.

  16. What seems incredible to me is that we have an update just out of the oven so poorly developed that, practically, it leaves unchanged what we already had, it does not improve the existing almost in anything (except viral), and worsens things that already worked well (explosion ).

In short: another disaster to chain Lich and Empyrean.

    +1 to OP.

  17. There's only two other topics I can think of that also measure up to the level of discussion/contention that Hema's research costs inspires:

    1. Univac is the #1 requested/discussed feature they have not budged on. And no, giving an innate 2m vacuum is not the same as simply copy-pasting the Vacuum mod onto frames, or allowing players to toggle Vacuum on and off as they please. No matter where you stand on the discussion, it's the most prevalent topic.

    2. Host Migrations and Dedicated Servers. The game's Peer-To-Peer nature causes headaches for nearly all players at least once, and for others much more frequently. Calls for more robust netcode, more intelligent decision making as to who it chosen to host, and the removal of the game's core netcode in favor of privately hosted or dedicated servers have been met with very little response from DE.

There are other more minor things that come up often, such as:

    • Weapon holster positioning for primary and secondary weapons
    • Allowing prime weapons to use their base weapon's skin
    • Warframe passive reworks/more reworks to frames, game modes, drop tables
    • More in-game tutorials
    • Energy Leech Eximus UI/visual indicators
    • Syndicate Sigils being decoupled from standing gain
    • Heightened UI customization
    • More Augment mods/Syndicate mods/Vandal/Wraith weapons
    • Less strict/seemingly biased Tennogen evaluations
    • Improved Dojo layout/building mechanics
    • Fashionframe enhancements such as "Copy-Paste" for loadout colors across all items

And there are other issues that have been and remain hot topics/commonly mentioned for years that are infrequently addressed, such as:

    • Crossplay/Crosssave: Evaluating the feasibility, most likely a solution tied to "when" and not "if", in line with the game's growth I'd guess.
    • Removal of Companion Stasis, In-mission Pet Commands: After literal years of Sheldon mentioning "they are looking into it" we finally got some more direct examples of their intentions with Pets 2.0. Statis is being removed, more diversity and reason to breed more Kubrows and Kavats, as well as the ability to command your pet mid-mission ala Khora. Who knows when it'll actually be implemented however.
    • More Riven capacity: Increased to 90, up from 60. This is a problem that cannot be solved, people will always want "more" space.
    • Primary Kitguns: They're finally shipping with Scarlet Spear, but no new Kitgun barrels have been announced.
    • Scaling rewards in Endless missions: DE does not appear to be confident in their ability to design rewards that manage to sit between the two extremes "I'm not playing this mission for a long time because the rewards are pointless, this feels bad" and "I am forced to play this mission for too long to get the reward I want, this feels bad". They seem content to leave endless mission drop tables as they are, with Arbitrations and Disruption acting as an experiment of sorts.
    • Archwing's shallow and imbalanced design: A complete Archwing overhaul appears to be on the way, complete with stat changes, ability revamps, modular Archwings and a more holistic fit between open world and space combat.
    • Updated Simulacrum with walls: This one is actually on the way soon, we've seen it demoed in a few DevStreams recently.
    • Riven stat locking: Not happening. Constantly suggested both internally and externally, encouraging mods that further reinforce "close-minded" metas is something DE would like to stray away from.
    • Raids returning/raid-like content: DE has said, in many more words, that they are pivoting from repetitious puzzle-like PvE encounters riddled with design & functionality flaws into more free-form and well thought out content pieces like Squad Link operations and Railjack (ha) but recognize the unique multi-coop experience it provided and the importance raids held for many tight knit communities. They have stated they will return, albeit not in the same state. I think. Citation needed because I can't remember the specific quote.

I know some of that can read pretty negatively, but I want to also remind everyone that this recent mainline brought about a LOT of changes and additions that have been LONG requested, some far more than what I've previously mentioned:

    • FoV increase (I remember asking for this back in update 7 haha)
    • Scaling excavator health
    • Self-damage removal
    • Elemental Proc rebalance
    • Armor scaling addressed both for enemies and warframes
    • Shield gating being implemented across all frames
    • Enemy accuracy changes to help mitigate one-shot kills by middling enemies
    • Grenade indicators/visibility changes
    • Starchart loot table reevaluations
    • Item labels enabled by default
    • Hover/About being pruned from most item screens and descriptions
    • 100x restore blueprints added
    • Sentinel mod sharing removed
    • Gear wheel improvements
    • Reputation vendors' inventories being pulled out of multiple sub-menus
    • Increased waypoint range

Let's hope that DE keeps listening and another player count drop isn't required to get them to address the annoyances and problems that players encounter every time they play the game.
