  1. I have played everything extensively and have a few good threads you can look through by clicking my name, and I think I can introduce some fair balancing points.

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/162829-warframes-tiered-based-on-end-game-30/

    http://dpsframe.com/

    Warframe Balance:

Make all frame abilities ignore enemy resistance, so you don't wind up hitting for 17 with abilities against level 50+'s

Change Power Duration to Power Consistency (so that in places where duration cannot be effected it can change some other aspect of the ability, thus removing overpowered fleeting builds)

Rhino Stomp / Nyx Absorb + Chaos / Nova A Ball + M prime / etc. need Max targets, allow consistency to increase max targets where duration is not effected.

Give Volt / Saryn / Oberon 4th abilities a lingering + damage done to enemies effected

    Make Ash's 4th much faster

Make Valkyr Ult better for melee 2.0

(More to come. Tired for now, but this covers 75%-ish of it)

Make all damaging abilities do a % of the target(s) Max HP based on energy consumed (lets say 10%), divided in some cases to prevent breakage.

    Complicated Example:

Saryn Casts Venom, she spends 25 energy, which gives her ability a bonus of +2.5% target(s) max HP

divided by 6 for 6 pustules = .41% per pustule over the 15 second duration (meaning .027% per second per pustule)

when split from the original they maintain the .027%/s on all new targets

I introduced this idea before and this is the ability people chose to argue about, which is why I have taken the time to explain it specifically here. This can be taken and applied to all abilities that do damage, further balancing the power of efficiency. For power consistency in this case the .027%/s would be maintained for additional seconds, not further divided (otherwise it would trivialize +duration)

    Less Complicated Example:

Situation 1: Rhino Casts Stomp with 75% efficiency, thus costing 25 energy. (not relevant here but fleeting 50% would reduce consistency by 50% thus reducing its max targets effected by half, IE. from 20 to 10 targets) This will do an additional 2.5% of max health to all targets effected (this does not need to be divided like Venom)

Situation 2: Rhino Casts stomp with no efficiency, costing 100 energy (only usable rarely due to cost). This will do an additional 10% of max HP to all enemies effected.

I think this is a good way to both balance efficiency and abilities against high level targets, compensating for static damage which becomes useless very early on.

    Weapons - Rifles:

Use dpsframe to see the majorly under-performing weapons and bring them up to at MOST 1000 dps behind Soma via straight up damage boosts on the weapons.

    Shotguns:

    Same (but with Boar Prime).

    Sniper Rifles:

Same (but with Snipetron Vandal), and increase all damage by ~20% on top of that

    Bows:

Same (but with ??? they all do awful DPS), and increase all damage by 150%+ on top of that

    Pistols:

Same, but beforehand reduce Brakk DPS to something reasonable like 20k instead of 30k (still out-damaging every other gun in the game by a fair margin (~3k dps between next bidder in every category)), and use the next secondary behind Brakk to balance the secondaries in any case, otherwise all secondaries will do 2-3x damage of primaries, not just Brakk.

This will provide much more variety for your high intelligence players / veterans that understand what DPS means

These are just a few critical balancing options I have thought up. I am holding my opinions about melee until after melee 2.0. Also my most used frame is Rhino, followed by Nova and Nyx, and my most used weapon is Brakk. I don't want to "nerf" these things because I am a whiny noob that rages ignorantly due to seeing other people play them, I want to "nerf" them because they need reductions to balance them into lategame.

  2. This would definitely make me use more Forma (and as a result probably buy a few once I run out of BPs... I don't do lots of Void runs).

Edit: and yes, when using Forma I usually start with one mission in Mercury to get a weapon to lv3-4, then Saturn and then Uranus, so it would help me avoid the first two.

PFFFFFFFFFT, I slapped new weps on the did T3 defense / ODD. Play frames that are effective without damaging things and you got a winner

  3. Git gud.

I lack a proper response honestly. Or atleast one that's as good as that.

Honestly hes right, When I started playing I had the same gripes, now I almost never get hit by it, and in that rare case I know I am going to get hit so I position myself so I get knocked around a corner or something of the like. Just accept that going into the melee range of knockdown units will get you knocked down, and pretend that they have an invisible wall around them that goes down only when some other dummy walks in and gets hit by it, or learn how to purposefully trigger it and be out of range (that's harder)

  4. Not bragging at all, eh? There is a badge on your forum avatar to indicate the possible founder status, no need to mention it separately to elevate yourself above others so that you can make your opinion sound superior. We are players, above all.

But let me entertain your need for superiority by telling you I am rank 12. I just cant be ar*ed to take rank 13 and 14 tests because ranks serve almost no purpose.

I was being purposefully asinine in relation to the whole "veteran" thing... making sure I announce my position so that my "veteran" status may be judged by the powers that be, and mayhap find my claim just and honorable. Not bragging lol, moreso a hidden argument as to the legitimacy of this whole thread. Glad you caught on though... kind of. Don;t worry, my roommate can't pass his rank 13 test either.

"If you want this game to change for the better then leave" Is that what you're saying?

I think were saying that CERTAIN things shouldn't ever change (to do so would make the game feel entirely different), and one of them we both happen to agree on is RNG. Detron may have 1 too many layers, but even then its a choice whether to farm it or not, and I choose not to.

  5. you're having a tunnel vision here.

Sprinting would be used where there are obviously no shorter or quicker ways to objective which is for example 30 meters away, in a plain corridor or something.

Everywhere else, there will be shortcuts which you can access trough advanced movement (which will hopefully be improved), but coptering is certainly the most broken and stupid looking one. And it's way too effective, leaving any other maneuver useless.

When I run straight forwards right now, I am not bored stiff because I get to press a bunch of buttons in combos to flip and slide and move faster. I'm simply saying the only change I would be OK with is one in which I get to press the same amount of buttons at the same frequency or higher, as anything less would bore me into quitting.

  6. And you do have any reason why you think drops and stamina are good? Simply saying they are good isn't helpful, tell us why you think they're good.

    I said fine, not good.

fine: in a satisfactory or pleasing manner; very well.

I think just that. I take no issue with those current systems. I think drop rates (outside of detron specifically, 1 too many layers of RNG) are great and RNG is a necessary part of a game like this. It inflates the time-sink, which is all were doing anyways. If you guys want to remove random drops, why not admit the whole game is a waste of time and go do something more productive with your lives. These mechanics are part of Warframe, and to change them would be to change the game. What your asking for isn't warframe at all, but a completely different game with the same theme.

  7. But there are people here, as you can see, who don't think sliding as a MOVEMENT MECHANIC is very fun. It certainly doesn't look very "ninja-esque" to have a group of people bobbing up and down as they rocket down a hallway. I'd personally like to see an emphasis on parkour as the fast way of getting around, not bum-sliding and spinning around.

Then please please please offer alternatives that require the same amount of inputs or more.

  8. Since my eloquent and well thought out retort to my naysayers got deleted even though it broke no rules and was more on topic than anything else (dealt directly with the topical statement in itself), I'm going to simply state I am rank 14 and have been playing for a long time (and am a founder), and I do not agree with the first 2 parts. I think drops are fine, and stamina is fine, and should not be changed.
