  1. WoW and ESO have horrible markets, and ESO just has a terrible market system in general. Plus if you look at games like Neverwinter or Archeage, or most other MMOs, etc so on and so forth, they’re so horribly overinflated that you’d have to be a market lord already just to buy from them. People sell at ABSURDLY high prices that you can’t feasibly buy without being a predatory market buyer and seller that buys low and sells extremely high, or you open your wallet.

It’s not a case about item for item, it’s a case that people WILL buy low price items until there are none so they can sell at extremely high values to turn a large net profit. That’s why I don’t want an automated auction house. At least with the human element of bartering you can work out prices and dissuade people from buying out the market too fast. I also like to personally trade with people and sell things low and help newbies out, which you can’t get from an AM.

  2. An Auction market in Warframe would ruin the already delicate market further by completely removing the human barter element. At best, implementing WF Market by some console into the game I can support, as it wouldn’t eliminate bartering, but those same games you listed with the AM’s have absolute *garbage* economies with overly inflated crap by predatory players, and also have overly pay to win economies already.

Warframe’s market already has plenty of things inflated. We don’t need people ruining it more. This will be a big fat no from me.

  3. At first, it was pretty confusing, but after a bit of experimenting and realizing that I could bind the heavy attack to alt fire as well, it flows fairly well and does not hinder the alt fire of guns either. I think this is better, to be honest.

This kind of jovial tone and making light of the expectations you've placed in players is a bit rude? I understand that the idea here is to present a cheerful face in light of missing the mark to keep people's confidence high and break the ice, but what you're doing instead is coming across as making fun of us maliciously. This doesn't sound like "let's be happy, things are still on track" it sounds like "lol you thought it was coming today, what a bunch of buffoons". Whether or not people were justified in doing so, a not insignificant amount of people who are following this update's progress took the previous edit to mean that we would have the update. And anyone who doesn't see why they may have made that mistake are lying to themselves; phrases like "finish line" and "come out swinging" were used, alongside the context of concern not about the finality of the build but of the ability to hotfix problems that the players would encounter, giving the very strong implication that things would happen immediately.

The critical element in effective humor is timing and this was very much not the time. After hyping the release, inferring strongly about projected dates, and then missing those marks more than once, now is the time to turn off the jokes and be direct with us as a matter of respect and transparency. After all, that's what this thread is for: to be transparency. Being coy is very much the opposite of that (and as an aside I've been pretty annoyed with this recent behavior of pretending to be communicative and transparent while simultaneously obfuscating the heart of the matter, but this is not the time to get into that in detail).

Finally, ffs, this update is about Alad V, not Tyl Regor. If you're going to make a reference as a joke at least make it properly relevant.

Nobody once said it would release today/Tuesday. That is all. You’re kind of the one that appears fairly rude (and impatient).

If you believe this, you clearly haven't played a "AAA" game in the past 3-5 years.

Yeah he must not have touched any games other than warframe at all. Tons of AAA games are horrendous with bugs nowadays. Let’s not all forget Batman Origins.

  6. A skip button won’t be implemented. This game and DE does not cater to you or your opinion. You have been presented options by the thread, but disregard it, so either keep practicing, or go play something else, because nothing will be changed to gravitate around you.

You can’t continually repeat the same thing and say “this game has this so by logic this game should,” as that is not how game industries work. MAYBE DE could one day lower the timers on the orbs slightly but there will NEVER be an MR skip option as it defeats the purpose of their system.

If you find yourself heavily bothered by this test and refuse to take any criticisms or keep trying, only saying “accept my opinion and put in an MR skip” will not help you at all and makes you appear rude and entitled, and this game may not be for you if you can’t cut it.

I love the game, love DE, and still don't regret any purchases I've made.  But armor pieces are just... it basically feels like "looks good" is a set bonus.  The 2019 armor doesn't match with ANYTHING except itself, especially not some of my favorite armors like Syrinx and Kiteer.  Not something I'd quit the game over, or even something I'm angry about, but I think that armor pieces need to get to the level of polish the rest of the game has, for it to truly feel like the masterpiece it is.

Armor across the board needs some PBRing and touch ups to feel nice but right now my biggest concern are the cosmetics I spent actually money on.

From looking at that Picture alone, the Armor does look out of order when looking from the Chest Plate to the Leg Plates. I haven’t got the Armor but the colors are inconsistent from each other.

Yeah I specifically used the Syrinx chest plate to show it off as contrast with the 2018 and 2019 gear itself. It’s frustrating honestly.

when it comes to colour channels it feesl liek sometimes DE just throws darts at a board or rolls dice  or something to see what channel colours what

There’s a lot of inconsistencies when it comes to coloring certain pieces, especially when it comes to armor and skins, but this one only sticks out most since it costs actual money.

  10. 5 hours ago, -ToT-CrackCook said:

this is a fair thing to ask, and i have been annoyed about it before as well. why cant it be consistent.. DE should either be consistent with this, or allow us to colour armour pieces individually to compensate

I would very much like to be able to color pieces individiually. At the very least by shoulders, chest, and leg plates.

  11. To whom it may concern,

I had purchased both the 2018, and 2019 Tennocon digital passes and had been especially excited for the armors to come with them, however an issue with the tinting makes it absolutely frustrating to use and even turns me away to using them when I like to mix and match armors often.

Generally, the Tertiary slot is used as a non-metal detail while the Accents slot is used for metals, but on the Tennocon 2018 and 2019 armors, these tints are reversed. The metal material is linked to the Tertiary slot while the graphics on the Tennocon armor are tied to the Accents slot.

If it would be possible to swap the metal to be consistent and in the Accents slot, that would be appreciated as I had spent money on these, but haven’t even used them from this alone.

  12. While I quite like the challenges we’ve had so far (save for things requiring RNG or heavy grinding), I do have to agree that for somebody who works most of the week, the hour long survival challenges should be cumulative.

The rest I’ve been fine with so far as it sort of pushed me into doing other content I haven’t really touched in a while, and it’s been fun. Personally though, I think there should be more challenges throughout the week at once/altogether, as for the moment it feels as though earning standing to reach rank 30 will be tight.

I also feel the fugitives should drop a small amount of creds per cap, say 5 per fugitive or 10 rewarded on capturing the whole group, since not everyone will be able to prestige, and new players won’t be able to really get much out of the new alert shop system due to being excluded from the Elite weeklies.

It would at least give more of a reason for actually bothering with the fugitives when they spawn, and give new players a better time unlocking rewards from the new alerts system like important mods and materials. That, or some actual missions still that just award flat wolfcreds.

Not snippy at you, just in general with the whole pack of people *hugs fellow Tenno* Remember when Reaper Prime was Prime Ether Reaper even though it was pretty obvious it was not and then Rebecca had to confirm it? Exactly that feel 😛 But yeah, there could be a better representetion in the Codex. One of my biggest gripes: It's so obvious the Tenno recreate the Warframes away from Lua and any without kind of direct Orokin tech, but why not just say so in the Codex and call it a day.

Wait... People thought the Reaper Prime was the Ether Reaper primed? (W a t) Well the way I see it, the Umbra frames are more what fit the bill described to the primes than anything. Won’t go too into that though for obvious reasons!

  14. 6 hours ago, NightmareT12 said:

They're not, the Primes are the units deployed by the Orokin, who designed them.

The ones we use are the Tenno best attempt at recreating them. It's been stated ever since 2014, I am still mesmerized that this Community (mainly because people somehow believe something else in general) doesn't know it even though it's in the Wiki with a citation to the original Prime Access article explaining so: https://www.warframe.com/news/primes-and-prime-access

Think of it as Ford making a car and you trying to reconstruct it in mid of a post apocalyptic world.

Not everybody looks at the wiki and that’s not exactly a great way to have lore explained. That’s the same reason Dark Souls/Bloodborne lore is so obscure in the games, because the story and lore is all held on the wiki.

Don’t get all snippy with me for not checking a third party website, I didn’t even say it was a definite because DE isn’t exactly consistent with their old pre Second Dream lore. :U

I forgot they are in the comics....but not one exist canonwise.

We wake in a non Prime.

    We never encounter a Prime.

If Primes are first, when did the Tenno come on board as it makes little sense to have these Warframes decked in gold and silver if they could not be tamed. Ballas said they were not cooperating until the Tenno tamed them....which says to me that having Primes before the Tenno makes little to no sense. As do the Prototype of Volt....what reason is there a skin for a Proto if Prime were first produced?

I get the feel the whole "Primes are first" is propaganda to turn away from the first ones that did not blindly follow until the Tenno arrived.....and then they used the puppet versions as "first" to rewrite history to the their liking. What sounds better- wild beast of war that would do the things they were crafted for but gave attitude and had to be coerced into doing the mission or Golden puppets that shined as they were led by children not knowing they were in a dream?

But that is my view if history as I have seen it written to make mass murders seen as explorers and now it is a choice to be a slave.....

I don’t remember it being said anywhere that the Primes were the progenitors to guns/frames, I always just figured they were direct upgrades using Orokin materials.

By PA you mean the actual Warframe Packs, or Accessory packs? It does make a difference. Check your billing/email purchases history.

The full thing. PA being the full Prime Access.

  17. So I got doubles of multiple frames, but don’t know if it’s a problem that I didn’t get Frost, Mag, Mesa, or Vauban Prime even though I got the PA on at LEAST the last two xD

Frost and Mag prime I’m not sure about and don’t think I’m elligible to get since I’m pretty sure those I farmed for.

Definitely bought the Vauban and Mesa PA though.

Reread well: They add a 3rd, independent model that will only be used when TennoGen + Prime Details are used. Mesa Prime keeps her own, unique, mesh for Mesa Prime 🙂 To make it clearer:

    Meshes Mesa will have:

    • Base -> Base frame, TennoGen without details (as is)
    • Deluxe -> Deluxe skin (untouched)
    • Prime -> Mesa Prime (as is, untouched)
    • Base+Prime -> Mesa Prime + TennoGen Skin + Prime toggle (new)

Oh. Okay, that’s a good idea, I’m fine with this.

  19. 14 hours ago, Rannulf said:

The precedent for primes thus far has been set, and that precedent is "All Primes are able to use their prime details on their tennogen skins, or they can turn them off." You see, that last part is important here, for you specifically, because YOU can turn them off if you don't like them. But screw the people who do want them, right? Screw the people who took money out of their wallet to support an DE, and an artist they clearly liked the work of, right? Mind-boggling.

For every primed warframe to be able to use their primed details with their tennogen except Mesa Prime is a slap in the face not only to everyone who loves Mesa, but to everyone who loves Mesa and were looking forward to using their Tennogen skins on Mesa Prime with ALL of the bells and whistles that came with every other Primed Warframe.

For you to say that you're okay with this shows a serious lack of foresight on your part, especially since DE already had an option for people like who you "don't want primed details on their tennogen" with the inclusion of the toggle feature. Encouraging DE to take options away from other people is not just mind-boggling, but it's actively counterproductive to your own interests. DE isn't going to get praise and support by undermining the standards they've already set for themselves, and they're certainly not going to encourage the community to buy primed access or tennogen if they're not willing to provide the proper support for either.

Sure you could keep the toggle then but the skins look like garbage with the meshes, so.

I also don’t expect DE to make bland prime models with only slight metal bits added in, as I like the more artistic direction they’re taking with Primes in making them stand out.

Oh and guess what, I’ll still buy both PA and Tennogen, because I like both and like to support both. :I

I’m actually worried from the sound of things that they may change Mesa Prime’s model entirely to work with Tennogen skins, and I think that’s a terrible idea since Mesa Prime looks amazing as is.

  20. I’m okay with this. I’d rather let the prime frames look really gorgeous and have a lot of effort put into them rather than have the primes be hashed out all for the sake of skins that NOT EVERYBODY buys, for the record.

If I want to use the Tennogen skin I’ll just use the tennogen skin, no big deal. The Prime is awesome, it’s like its own deluxe in a way, and the Tennogen skins are awesome. As long as there are metal bits I’ll be fine (once body is separately colored from Helmet, I’ll even be able to use the devil skin parts more and mix and match with them!)

exactly. Orb heists should be accesible to everyone. I do mean everyone. the difficulty too should be easy so we can all play it

I mean, have you tried pub Eidolons? I have no problem teaching people but sometimes it gets overbearing how many pubs don’t know what to do, and sometimes I can’t get squads together. I’m not even max rank (I haven’t even gave in the parts to get to Doer yet) and I think this is fine.

Don’t forget this is technically like endgame content in what is a VERY early on unlocked area.
