  1. U19 but especially what happens with 'vaulting' will be the main way I determine whether Warframe is worth more of my time and/or money.

    If the Prime Vault is really kept in its entirety just to gouge players who might've missed earlier prime items then we'll see where DE is going. And where China has dragged them down to.

  2. As long as it's cosmetic only I have no problem with it.

    I don't tend to wave the golden epeen around much in game either way. It's not like the Skana Prime or Lato Prime are actually usable for example.

  3. Appreciate the quick-fire hotfixes :)

    Rebecca, it's not a major issue but when you paste from a document into the forum it retains all the formatting from Word or wherever you've written up the info originally. Makes it look a little odd on the dark theme. If you don't mind you could try pasting the text with Ctrl+Shift+V which ignores some of the formatting info leaving the text to auto-colour so it adjusts depending on the forum theme the viewer is using.

  4. Before it's released I'd like to know what the plan is for the use of the WarframeTM logo within the game's fictional environment as opposed to The Lotus symbol seen throughout the game and Warframe lore.

    Now the logo-shaped muzzle flash looks awesome and I think it's a great idea but is it possible to change it so real-world branding is kept out of the game environment? I can see the reasoning behind using the brand logo in the store messages but I can't think of why the Tenno or Lotus would use it in any way in the universe when they already have an established logo.

    Personally I'd much rather keep the corporate stuff out of the game universe (Corpus excepted) and see a modified version of the in-fiction Lotus symbol used for the Dex Sybaris instead of the branding one. Thoughts anyone?

  5. I'd love to see this happen. I don't even play Warframe on console. 

    The main reason cross-console play hasn't happened is just Sony and Microsoft having their heads too far up their own arses to see the light.

    I'm glad they're finally coming round and some devs are already moving to bring gamers what they want; to play together :)

    More than likely they will just extend Prime Access boosters by 3 days as compensation, seeing as you can't refund plat that was never spent.

    I believe the amount he's calculating is due to Prime Access coming with both boosters, not just one.

     

    I do think the 3 day extension is much more likely and reasonable however.

    Just thought I'd let you know some of the formatting is hard to read when using the (superior ;)) dark forum theme.

     

    If you don't mind could you remember to paste into your posts with default formatting or make sure text is on "Auto" colour in Word (or whatever program you're using), please?

  10. I was trying to think of a grindier event with a couple of other founders in my clan and we couldn't come up with one. 

     

    Shadow Debt started off with a lot of promise. Bits of story, a few 'light' but entertaining enough missions to whet your appetite and start you off. After meeting a couple of acolytes the grind wall really smacks you in the head.

     

    I'm still hopeful the next phase of the event will redeem it somewhat but it feels like some of the lessons DE's learnt from past events have been forgotten putting this together.

     

    It's not all bad but it's hard to enjoy the good when there's grind to the horizon.

     

    EDIT. I should say, specifically to OP, nice post. And as you've pointed out Spy2.0 is the perfect example of DE learning, growing and establishing a solid direction for things.

  11. I really like these ideas.

     

    I currently use Decoy as a 'mobility' tool 99% of the time because it gets one-shot in any high level missions making it useless as an actual decoy.

     

    Keeping it from firing unless alarms are on is a great idea too. Might need to be a little more complex than that due to factions (Infested) or tilesets that don't have alarms but the core idea is really good for Loki's stealth focus.

  12. Looking forward to the expansion of the mini-universe they're testing atm.

    It's a lot of fun even just with the environment they've started with.

    As for solo/multi stuff you'll be able to host a private server if you want but in the Persistent Universe you'll have some control over how many PC encounters you have vs NPC. They've said they're still working out how it'll get managed in the launch of the PU but imagine a slider that goes from only NPCs except in Nullsec (and even then reduced PC encounters) to every PC encounter possible.

    They can do that sort of thing due to the General Instance Manager working out who's in the same 'space' at the same time where instances can come and go and merge (or 'unmerge'? maybe deintegrate...) with player movement. They're not static like in most MMOs.
