You made me lose the game you monster.

Also, more seriously, I'd suggest A: making multiple threads about it so people can know what they're getting into from the title, and have less content to digest at any one time and B: having at least one part written instead of saying you're going to write it. Nobody is going to upvote a post devoid of content.

True, but its kinda my first topic

  2. I simple want to make the game better... So I want to talk about many of the aspects of the game overall.

The categories that I will talk about are

    1) Gameplay

    2) Difficult & Ai

    3) Narrative & Content...

If you want me to make a second part talking about my ideas to spark ideas... please upovote this and or leave a like and at 40 likes I will make the second part covering all three parts of the game.

Sounds interesting! I would definitely try it out, and it might breathe new life into the game for the veterans who feel like they have nothing to do. PvP is desperately needed in warframe since the natural player progression ends at PvP for veterans of all online games, if there's no worthwhile PvP then those veterans instead just end up complaining about "content drought." (This sounds a bit familiar!)

Good thing the game can have both PvE and PvP! Unless you're suggesting that there shouldn't exist PvP? Please don't be another of those people who insist "It's not enough that I should get what I want, I also demand that others don't get what they want!" That is obviously childish, so I expect that's not what you're implying here 🙂

I'm pretty sure what they are saying is to make the PvP better and much more enjoyable.

Firstly, this is originally in its most base form, the idea of PC Tenno @Zahnny from a brief discussion in design council earlier today.

Artist frame is as @Urlan put it:  a Reality warper with a brush as the tool and existence as the medium.

    Artista:

    Ability 1: Dance

Description: Artista uses an movement to create hazards and buffs into the environment. The ability works like Ivara's flight sticcs and Vaubans handi balls; Press to cycle through, and Hold to use. Tapping cycles through the various choreography. Each element has its own dance style. The dances should not affect your ability to move, cuz you have to spread it right? So you can still 'walk' or 'jog' while doing the movements.

    Mediums:

    - Fire

    - Ice

    - Toxin

    - Electric

In use: Artista begins to dance. As she moves, she spreads an elemental coating onto any surface within range. Spreading more than one medium over a surface yields combo elements. You can only stack 2 elements on a surface for 1 combo element. To keep it from being too wild, would probably limit the amount of surface coating to 4 elements in any combination. I.e. 2 combos, 4 singles, or 2 combos 2 singles. Enemies that are covered in or come into contact with the medium takes some damage from that element and receives that proc as long as theyre making contact with that surface PLUS a short duration after.

Bonus aspect, or augment: Dancing near team members gives them x% of damage (total, not base) of said element added on top of their current setup, does not miff their elemental setup. The duration of the effect is increased if the team member uses a Narta emote while in range. I.e. if you dance together.

    Ability 2: Brush

This ability allows Artista to manipulate the physical environment.

Description: Artista pulls out a big brush and is able to paint various things into existence. This would work by holding to activate the ability then tapping to cycle through options. Put simply, its a micro version of our dojo decorator. Objects would include things like barricades, stairs, cipher terminals, lockers and crates. Perhaps randomized weapon crates, or ammo stockpiles. Off the wall and far fetched, but i wouldnt be totally opposed to the weapons that are available in a weapons crate is some form of existing exalted weapons that work for a duration.

Totally open to suggestions on what items would be useful or fun to create in missions.

    Ability 3: Photography

Description: Artista pulls out a super fancy Nikona (like nikana and nikon, dont kill me) brand scanner like tool. She is able to then snap a photo of and enemy, team member, or companion and duplicate them.

In use: Enemies can be duplicated up to 3 times each, for a duration, with a max of five out at once. Allies can only be duplicated once each for a duration. Duplicates have a cool down of 1.5x the duration. Meaning, if the duration lasts 60 seconds, you have to wait 90 to do it again. Per ally, you can only duplicate them or their companion but not both at once. Duplicate allies will follow their 'muse' (who they are a replicant of). Unlike specters, these do not scale with enemy level but rather are direct duplicates of their Muse. Loadouts, Looks, and Mod configs included.

    Ability 4: Haiku

Description: Artista is able to write things into the fabric of reality and they become so. This ability is strictly for buffing the team in ways other than elemental dmg layering. The ability would work similar to ivaras arrow and vaubans spheres. Tapping cycles through poems, and holding activates the ability.

In use: Artista pulls out her paint brush and paints a haiku into the air in front of her, in tennoscript. Allies in tenno affinity range are affected.

    Poems:

Sun: adds +% of 1 warframe ability stat (duration, range, strength, efficiency) to warframes, determined by the stat with the lowest value, % added is half of greatest stat value, additive.

     - example: if your team members highest stat value is Range at 220% and lowest is Efficiency at 50%, they would get +110% to efficiency (220/2)

Moon: Grants 2 totems to a warframe. Each totem adds + 20% chance to avoid lethal dmg granting 5 seconds immunity, radial knockdown/slow aoe, and increased run speed (for 5 seconds). A totem is consumed once when shields are depleted and once when health is depleted.  For frames with no health or shield stat, totems will remain until the proc rolls twice for them. Totems will expire after a duration. When a totem expires, It cancels any other Haiku buff currently active on the subject.

Heaven: Health / Shield / Armor {doubles whichever of the three is the greater value} for a duration

Void: Amp / Arcane Buffs, and Operator Efficiency for a duration

*** Important *** Only one of these buffs can be active at any one time on for any player. The buff is subject to Tenno Affinity Range a la Trinity Blessing. The buff range is affected by focus/fosfor. If Artista recasts this ability with a different Haiku, it overwrites whatever is on her and allies with the exception of Moon which is only Overwritten after 1 totem is consumed. This means Moon + 1 other Haiku can be active as long as Both Totems are still present.

    Extra Bits:

Something to accompany the frame for those of you who are into lore, could be haiku easter eggs found through one method or another (perhaps through something like kuria/fish, or ghoul journal). Finding a complete haiku (each comprised of finding 3 parts, each part 1 line to the 5 7 5 structure) could yield a poem scroll / painting ship decoration.

And to make this even more fun, Perhaps a contest for our tenno community to submit haiku for this.

Feel free to leave some haiku here, ill start.

    Moon:

    Sleep within the womb

We wait for you to wake up

    Save your loved ones, child

    Sun

    What is right or wrong

    Life and death, maintain balance

    Like trees, Morals Sway

    Void

    Hey, Hey there kiddo

    I am always watching you

    This is what you are

    Heaven

    Unconditional

    Love, Compassion, Forgiveness

    I miss you space mom

Dang I also want to make a Warframe as well.

Unfortunately in the hindsight, I don't work for DE nor have comprehensive stats for it that exist before me in front of my desk where the grind is endless and RNG is my cruel mistress.

If the player wishes to skip the progression by the paying and winning the game easily, you do realize the obvious fact, no mind will love to stick is the simple rule in the textbook which is a given fact as a dopamine in their brains being registered and shall keep seeking new content in order to get attracted.

Essentially, here are the following thoughts of new players and vets will quit at any junction in this game according to my opinion :-

    • If you give everything for free, like a father who gives to the child who never works hard, they will definitely quit at any junction in order to skip challenges be in any context of a human life. Literally, spoiled minds can never appreciate anybody's work and process behind it unless the kindness is brought to halt and Devs will face endless misery of  creating new content for each update rather patching the previous ones in order to satiate every players mind. Hence, the community stays divided and starts playing spartans to conquer over here or in-game for that matter. In a nutshell, kindness is your enemy and don't go overboard with it, please.
    • Excessive payment wall like booster packages is fruitful to company in terms of microtranscations as we all deliciously love food arriving from branded fast food corner in a single purchase which serves as another dopamine factor of any player's brain and brag about it to other players after joining the random public session. Seriously, are these kind of players trying to assist with salty thoughts placed towards rest of squad members, just because you bought a booster or received it for free from the sortie rewards. This point of this thinking is still bizarre apart for obvious point unless you wish for everyone to reciprocate on each statement I came across during my grind in all years of playing with randoms especially new players talk like I won a biggest lottery of my life and waiting for me to respond in false positive manner - "Hey, it's awesome to have your booster and will assist during our grind, join in, please". The cold reality truth of being vet is that we want to you to join in our squad in order to improve the drop rate that is set by game design regardless your booster and I don't try to objectify in any angles like a PvP player does for K/D in a match.
    • The biggest spicy talks has been all about grind for both new players and vets as we rock in the same boat yet for some odd reason, we are united on this part. Sadly, DE turns a blind eye while drinking their wine having smug faces on the camera during a livestream. Is this some of canadian trait or culture, I prefer not to delve into this anymore over the years and remain stoic as usual nor have a choice in this matter to begin with.
    • DE loves to hear you out, if you're a star studded or a mini celebrity on the social media. If not, they are completely dismissive about giving any response to any individual unless your post get rated as hot in order to get their attention. Ultimately, what is the point being vocal on the forums since our opinions doesn't matter to them in the end. In all cases, I can never speak to a human being who shut their minds towards me and placed a wall of ignorance in front of my eyes.
    • The developers of this game has been on the following corroded path by bringing in, the true gambling factor such as riven mods which is no different from loot boxes which has made it worst in terms of grinding factors rather to focus on curtailing it anytime soon. However, the choice we have in our hands is that either accept or leave it.

In conclusion, as I speak here from my experience and knowing the DE over the years, they couldn't care less about being any individual being vocal in any format, they will dismiss it at their discretion. As they say, give them a cake of grofit, people will listen. If not, nobody cares in the end is the cold reality we live in this world.

P.S. I do sincerely apologize as my above points may have crucified and not a vent rather speaking my genuine experiences as individual player out here in this forums.

I think this man deserves a Gold Medal of Honor

I have to disagree that complexity alone is responsible for that difference. Partially because older games taught you how to play through design and expected you to try all the buttons to learn the controls. The other part is because you can compartmentalize every system in Warframe into something that isn't hard to understand. I think it's more that players are too lazy/entitled to believe they should have to go look for their own answers these days, because there isn't a question that a newbie could reasonably ask that the answer hasn't been provided hundreds of times.

The one thing DE could do to resolve a lot of the "Vor's Prize, now what?" syndrome is to have the Lotus inbox you some tutorial directions in the form of:

-Explain what MR is and how it is raised, why it's important, and the cheap/easy methods to get more early (MK1 weapons, for example).

-Explain how the Star Chart works and how to progress in it, including Junctions.

-Explain in more depth how mods work, polarities, and the importance of increasing mod rank. Maybe even provide about 200 Endo to get them started and some pointers on how to get more.

That's it. Most of these are self-explanatory enough that just these instructions would give enough direction for players to branch out and explore to progress their game. The game itself wouldn't really need anything changed on this front.

I like that and maybe as they get better make the Orokin things less difficult. I mean I don't have much endo but I could use my excess mods to do it.

It isn't that I entirely disagree. I mentioned earlier that I can easily see room for the game to improve certain things about the new player experience, and I would prefer that the frustration they feel would only be from difficulty rather than confusion. Where we do disagree is that I see these as low level complaints from people who likely quit anything real easily. The suggestions you offered are like taking some soft classical music that you listen to at a volume of 2 or 3 and ramping it up to 11 and then putting a megaphone next to the speakers. It's unnecessary and will make a lot of people upset. Instead, turn it up to about 4 and change the station. To move out of the analogy and into specifics, I don't think it would be hard to include a pictographic Help index on the main menu (one spot above Exit/Quit). Plenty of games do this and it works out pretty well without requiring huge overhauls in the game's systems to accommodate players that need it spelled out a bit more.

Here's one from PSO2 explaining how Rings work:

    pso2-2019-06-16-05-59-03-576.png

It's pretty straightforward, so it just has to cover relevant topics for brand new players:

    - How MR works

    - How the Star Chart works, especially junctions

    - How quests and the Alert window work

    - Modding tutorial (though I found this to be self-explanatory, personally)

    - How to find blueprints in the shop that you can build along with weapons that don't need to be built (without spending plat)

These would all be good to address, even if the only thing that isn't obvious to most players I've met is how MR works.

I spend a lot of my play time either farming for gear I don't have or helping new players get on their feet. I'm sure people might take the tone of some of these replies as dismissive, but it's simply a matter of, "How much effort are you willing to put in to understand the game?" The vast majority of the game is designed like the old Mega Man games--learn by doing. You will make mistakes, but you learn better from mistakes than by any other means.

The biggest criticism I've always levied against DE with regard to new players is how much p2w sh*t is thrown in your face when you just start the game. Unless those players have the wherewithal to ask in chat about that stuff, they will get a very wrong impression about the game. Despite the trolls we regularly see in chat, there are plenty of people willing to give advice, answer questions, and help people out. Huh, weird... it's almost as if it's an online game or something.

I honestly agree... with the things that you covered but I would also add more of a direct path to getting to end of the narrative, then have side quests, and after they have done those things they can go grind for more frames, do game modes or gear to an endgame.

If DE doesn't make it flop. I think though that redoing some of the main story quests leading to the second dream will help make the story better, and will make the second dream less of a shock of how poorly done most of the content is. However building up after the second dream will be beneficial because it will make the dept better and people will notice the upward trend of the improvement.

Though I feel that going from Vor's quest to the Sacrifice. When up then at the second dream, peaked, mildly went down then dropped fairly more, then came up abruptly to the level of content as Vor's Quest. It only took me like 2 days of real time to play the Sacrifice after a few breaks. I really enjoy the game and am glad for it. I just hope that the will be a mildly more distinct road map for new players.

And fix some of the other aging content. I enjoy it though. Although they could have made Grendel be the one to be obtained through disruption and make Gauss a quest, but it is how it has happened. But I do think that there is some more thing that can be changed but that will take a lot of text to get out and even then I might not get the right idea out. Or a practical if we are being technical.

Judging by Reddit and being in Twitch streams, a ton of new players complain about the crafting times and waiting 3 days for a frame. So they stop playing.

Yeah so I was thinking, maybe depending on the difficulty of getting the frame it would vary how much time should be spent...

Ex. MR1 starts to build a frame say Rhino, if he or she doesn't quite have godly weapons for their MR then the time for the blueprint should be taken down. However if the same MR1 has the godly weapons for their MR then make the components crafting time 3 hours shorter and the build time for the blueprint vary.

Now for a MR 27, it is different. they know that they basically have found the godly weapons required to get them the components and blueprints faster. But the lessen the grindiness for some of them. but they will still have to wait 3 days for it since they have a higher rank.

Now making the grindiness for everything slightly lower, by increasing the percentages.

Ex. Ash. You farm the same mission, yet have a small chance of getting a part then a low chance of getting the one part you need.

Ex. Primes. Farming bounties should have a greater chance of getting a part, a better chance of getting the relic of the prime you want, a change might help. Same goes with missions

  9. 3 hours ago, KazuXSora said:

So basically, forma should not reset the mod capacity to base MR. I mean, it should just reset the level only to 0 and leaves the total mod capacity to 30(60.) It'sawaste to level item again to get mod capacity.

Let's say I am MR 5 and don't have catalyst in a weapon. I can't even install a serration and this just made the weapon weaker and useless.

Why don't leave the mod capacity to it's maximum so that the weapon is strong enough and don't need to level it up again. I could just play casually without the to farm affinity again and apply another forma again, if I want, once the weapon hit level 30 again.

I kinda agree with that but I think that it would be better if they added more difficult but make the weapons somewhat stronger so you don't have to deal with the crap oh having no booster. Or they should during events give boosters out and then have them last a few days after.

  10. I think they should salvage the trailer and keep the Vor quest the same. But make the quality like the second dream. Also instead of leaving the player to do as they want try and make an abstract/guide like make a reason to get to the second dream quest and also to the Sacrifice. Make the content deep. Yes I am starting to get into Destiny 2. I don't want to get demonetized but I think that making the quests like the second dream will help because when I played that quest I didn't want to get off and do something else. I wanted to keep playing increase the tangent lore and keep some of the lore still there to draw a person to keep playing the game. make it less grindy. that is one of the reasons why my friend left is because of the grindiness. Also stop listening to the people who don't have any want for progression. They probably don't care if the game continues. I bet you they only care about looking the best the newest and like the next new model diva. Trust me they are a minority and they look bigger but they are only a few. The next thing that can be better is making the Conclave a little bit better. I do want to see the game become better but even though I don't play the game always, I still can like it. I repeat "...even though I don't play the game always, I still can like it. I know that's crazy. Anyway I agree with the part about keeping the beginning but I also want more lore without screwing up the surprises in the game. Cuz I like my girl like I like my games, fun and surprising.

Please if you agree to some of the thing that I talked about please let me know. at b.rad.holbrook03@gmail.com. Also I really hope DE sees this!

  11. I honestly agree, I think that DE shouldn't be able to penalize the frame, Ember because she used to wrekt low level trash. and honestly if that was the way their rule was for ever frame then every frame would be worse than Wukong was before he got a rework. I think that no, straight up saying that a frame should be restricted by being able to mop the floor with low level enemies is an excuse to just make a really amazing frame less appealing. Ember looks good, has really cool skins and is a cool frame in general but people don't care for her because she doesn't have a kit that works. My point is that maybe instead of giving trashy reasons why you are nerfing a popular frame. maybe give people something worth their time money or resources. Honestly is real bad for Ember. Although her kits isn't an bad a Nyx is still is bad and needs work. When Frost Prime released with Ember Prime in the Frost Prime and Ember Prime bundle was released. I actually wanted it genuinely wanted to play both of them and wanted to use them. Later I get Ember and play with her and I cried because of her state. She was not one of my first frame built, but I really thought, "Wow! I want to make Ember good again." So now if DE will listen which it seems they don't but hopefully they do, I would like for Ember and Nyx to have a well thought rework. Or things are going to go down hill. They want money but what is a business ultimately suppose to do? I logically think serve but I understand the point which they are coming from and that any thing in this world is meant to be bought, sold, or made to make some sort of amount of money. On the day Ember was nerfed to her current status was the day I know it's time to realize that we are the reason DE is still working on this game so if we chose not to do anything more, (not trying to say anyone isn't doing anything.), then we can't complain. It also applies for DE, if they don't listen they cant complain that nobody is play their game. So my hope is that DE does listen, not only to the things that DE thinks is good for the game and also leads everyone, but to some ideas that are going to help the game like ideas the community has not some TennoGen, or some cosmetics but ACTUAL content like maybe we can get an open world for Mars, lore on why the relay, on Mars, is destroyed, maybe some missions that differ from kill, kill, kill, like more missions that are observing what the Grineer are doing, what the Corpus are doing, see how the Infested are doing. I mean maybe we could have an invasion mission with the Grineer, and Corpus up against the Infested and Sentients and maybe make Infested Sentients. Have this take place on the open worlds and you the Tenno chooses which to fight for in an epic war. Bring Raids back, since I have heard they were fun. Make the game feel Co-Op again. A dear friend introduced me to this game so we could hangout together but now its kinda lost it's luster. And the first step is to make all frame equally balanced and have well thought reasons for what happens. And as the Player, we have more power than the game or DE does. Not saying that "Let's all fly to London, Canada to protest." but try and shift the plate to DE. And honestly I could be wrong in saying we should do it, because we could already be doing it. I love this game and I am so sad at it's current state. and how cruel Ember is being treated.
