Nice DE.
and btw new Kela is cool and all but she is sortie master today and she still talks like her old heavy-gunner-demented-babydoll self. Might want to update her with some new dialogue (hopefully something shorted than Nef Anyos massive monologue)

Yep, Steve was really trying hard to not give spoilers in that podcast when saying 'queens', so unless he is really covering up it may be a safe assumption that these are the queens or related to the queens.

Hey anyone using Tennogen on their system? I installed it on my playonlinux steam and it opens and says :
your system does not support webGl. Please upgrade your video drivers and try again.
I'm running a NVIDIA GTX 950 with linux drivers from the NVIDIA site.
Not sure how a wine handles that. if you have any ideas let me know!

1.)So, Question/concern:
As many people have mentioned here and there, many systems/gamemodes etc. (archwing, dark sectors, heck even dojos) are in desparate need of finishing and really making them an integral part of the game. As Excited as i am for new content I would really like to hear more on some of that old content being awakened? I remember being extremely excited for archwing upon its arrival, but I now find the gamemode tedious, hard to obtain mods, and generally underwhelming.
2.) Also, as far as new content goes, I feel like one thing I would like to see is more depth of the system outside the main factions/military. I feel like Syndicates have always hinted at this. Can you give any background on how these might be furthered lore-wise if you have plans yet?

This also worked for me! seems to be a solid solution thus far. Will report on how new textures are doing shortly.

I can confirm after installing all the versions of vcrun I was able to get past the issue and log in and play.Same success here! Thanks guys!

My winetricks can't find vcrun2012 package. I'm also running wine 1.6.2 I think. Should I get higher version to retry?

Just to throw in, having same problems here with splash screen crash. Have been at it for a few hours now trying to make sure i have everything straight. Time to wait and hope for that patch i suppose.

If you are having issues loading into app after your first time on it. Clear your cache as someone said earlier and the everytime you close the app logout first. Loading profiles on startup seems to make it freeze up.

So everyone,
Have had recently Warframe working on my Ubuntu 14.04 64bit machine. Was using a clean wineprefix. Take download from warframe.com, replace the Cache.Windows folder with a new one from the steam version (used steamcmd to download it.)
This has been working well enough for several months, dead textures here and there, and every once and a while having to reinstall for a new update.
The last few days the launcher has been giving me an error that I can only read "Update of Di". Google search revealed this is some issue with directX updating.
Initially, I just attempted to reinstall as usual but no luck. Haven't done anything as far as I know to my overall system, but that could be incorrect because my linux steam version as well as some of my virtual drives for other games are acting up.
In the long run, I cannot find a solution to the current Warframe issue. if you need any more info or have any ideas as to what i need to do let me know.

For everyone feeling confused about the whole tenno warframe bit:
You as a game player are flabbergasted to find out what you actually are. Remember Alad's comment about not knowing where your heart was if not in your chest? I'm convinced the transference from Tenno to warframe mad e the Tenno somehow believe that they were inside the warframes. Thus why you would not know this whole time. So... we become superhuman killing machines with a Japaneze feel for whoever knows how long.
Then, this happens are we are dumbfounded to figure out who we are. (AKA every freaking time I look at the focus screen). Anyway coming out of cryo-sleep and essentially out of the whatever number dream that is, allows the tenno to remember the past again. SO those of you who thought you were a crazy killing machine, this is the same internal conflict your ingame character is having. Among the many reasons why we still only go to relays and stuff in Frames probably without them you don't feel right as a tenno.
Also the Stalker is a whole different story and I think many people have already put forth good theories on that. If you are upset because you are an adult and now you feel like a kid in the game, yes its supposed to feel that way its intentional. Its part of the story. If you are just going to bail on this game because of that you do not appreciate good story. The full feelings and attitudes and possibilities of this havent come foward yet. But think if the game is essentially the same as the lore... all those times you reveled in mowing down enemies.. you were that kid.. in that chair.. you and he are just as confused about your identity as ever. This cray plot is what really makes this game indepth. I think it easily rivals games like Halo in good storyline.

Super hyped about U18 and blown away like everyone, but in the aftermath and during my continued normal play, I find myself unpleased with the Tenno community, and how we like to do things sometimes. I do not like how people put qualifiers on joining squads in recruiting. Surely I'm not the only person who doesn't have "the right frame" for a Draco mission but plenty of other frames that could be in a squad for it. What bothers me even more is when people put a restriction on mastery rank which I understand can make sense you don't want brand new players on high tier missions, but I am mastery rank ten, I love the game and can do sortie level play, and have been playing since you could still buy excal prime, but I play off and on. The tiers for mastery rank requirements are set usually quite above 8-10 which i consider pretty experienced. Also upset about how trading has ALWAYS been, its not "trading" at all. It is a plat only place and I hate that. not a single person will agree it seems to payment any other way and it makes the game feel pay-to-win when you are stuck in a rut like myself. Sure I could just invest in a popular frame, or suck it up and buy some plat, but that isn't the point. At this time it is extremely difficult, near impossible for me to get into the tier 4 void missions I need for my favorite syndicate. I am dissappointed in the way this community can be and wish we could correct that culture some.

Hi guys, A- love this post super helpful; B- i hit another road block with Warframe. I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, new to linux and wine pretty muc. anyway as earlier discussed i managed to get Warframe running last night via letting it run with "checking for new content" overnight then in the morning have it verify the cashe, and - Magic! i got in with only a few minor graphic errors. When it booted though the program complained that I did not have XAudio2 installed and i was indeed without sound in game. So today i used winetricks to add the DDL component xact to try and solve this. Granted that may be unrelated to the problem, but now when I enter launcher update bar moves super fast and i get stuck with blank white loader and a retry button that only loops the same thing. not sure what went wrong between yesterday and today. Any ideas? Oh and note using direct launcher not thru steam.

Did'nt think of that but sounds good :-) Do a lot of them get skills solo or actually go to college for that stuff?Becoming one is fairly straight forward. Apply your trade and apply for a job, hope you get noticed. However, if you want that extra step, there is one thing you can do. Mod.
Mod, as in making mods for games. It counts as development, and it shows you have experience working on and improving a product. Just look at the guy that made the Falskaar mod for Skyrim. He got a job at Bungie, the guys that made Halo.
Basically, get as much experience as you can, and never stop improving upon what you do. Ever. EVER.

I have watched a few. I'm interested in actually having a career like theirs sorta and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak and also how you become one.

Out of sheer curiosity are there any interviews or a way to get one with the dev guys on what their jobs are like? Like the real nitty gritty of what its like to be a game developer for a game like this.

Glad to hear we will be getting some expected time-lines for things!
Question: As far as sortie rewards goes, I thought the addition of the distinction between rewards that were one time only and ones you could receive multiple times was a good idea, but I don't think it has gone far enough. For example, Nezha is in every rotation, because thats how he drops, but if you already have him or all his parts, the reward becomes less rewarding. I know Nezha parts are trade-able, but they are pretty common so I do not think they are all that marketable, being that players have extra from just about every sortie season. I
know tokens were mentioned as a possibility and I realize you don't want players to perhaps just save up and get legendary cores, but on that same note players wanting to really step up their game to a higher tier could use an option to get more cores out of sortie for those prime mods. What are your thoughts on a solution?
