  1. I felt frustrated with the Overtake alert, at first, as well. I even vented some on the council chat. I think what frustrated me the most was the lack of communication between players in random matches. With people using mic very rarely in random games, and usually to annoying effect, its hard to strategize before a game with the current matchmaking setup.

     

    Part of the issue is what seems like a out dated chat system. If there was a chat system that allowed communication during the loading and preparing of a level, they could emphasize chat between players more before the level. Also, I wish they would make the "skip animation" toggable to default to skip. Last, I think if DE added more focus, and possibly even a bonus of some type, to teams that stayed together between games in random matches, that would further stress commonality and thus communication between random players.

  2. First, let me start off by thanking DE for all the hardwork and dedication. <3 It is only because I love this game so much that the bugs really annoy me. 

     

    The bug seems to be an issue with the controller>keyboard binds since U13. Currently, I use a mouse and Xbox 360 controller setup to play. Some people may tease me for this, but I find it gives me much better control of a object (my ninja) in 3D space. As part of my set up, I bind jump to left trigger (LT), which works when in normal mode. But as soon as I equip my melee, LT becomes channel, so I can't jump. If I rebind LT to sprint, and left bumper (LB) to jump, then I can jump with LB but LT still channels. If I change channel to Mouse 2 and Guard to Mouse 1, LT still activates channeling, and RT still activates Guard. I can't use LT for anything but channel when in melee mode.

     

    I think what DE did was overlay the default Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 over LT and RT for the new melee mode binding so it's stopping any customization of those binds. This can be fixed with a simple hot patch I would think. I am surprised this bug made it to launch, since they specifically said they tested combos with controllers, and I don't see how you could not hit this big like a brick wall when testing the melee mode. Keeps you from 'coptering in melee mode. :-(

  3. DE Please fix jump not working on controller (when using PC) when in melee mode. It rebinds to channel. And please no teasing, I still use the mouse, I just find the controller to be more effective for spatial movement, instead of a keyboard.

  4. Try disabling Multi-thread rendering.

    Update 10 introduced an experimental Multi-threaded rendering setting, which has been claimed to have nearly doubling framerate on some multi-core computers. This can be toggled by clicking the settings (gear) button in the top corner of the launcher, before the game itself is started. Note that your graphics card has a set limit of how many frames per second that warframe can run on your computer, and for some enabling this feature will have no effect due to the graphic card's limit already being reached. Overclocking can push past this issue but this should only be attempted by users who are experienced in this sort of thing as it can cause multiple crashes or hardware problems.

  5. Go to a British bar during a Soccer game and say "its only a game". To a football stadium and say "it's only a game".. Anything you have invested interest in that isn't directly life effecting is "just a game". Perhaps some people do take it too seriously, but you are doing no better by belittling their passion, especially when YOU must take the game pretty serious if their seriousness upsets you. Be like water. Balance in all things Tenno.

  6. I would say Rhino is more tank. What makes a Berserker IMO is that they need to be doing damage constantly or they die. I think Valkyr's Hysteria is a prime example of that. Its a berserker rage. 

     

    But yes, please. I would test but I don't know enough how to capture and calculate the damages.

  7. I would also like to add that some people like to wait closer to 40-50% so to leave a buffer since enemies won't drop if your at 100%. So if your hit life support at 70%, and then a big group of things spawn, then thats possible wasted life support. I personally think it only becomes important at higher waves but some people get very uptight about it.

    To get death mark, you need to play a certain amount(probably RNG) of Grineer support missions. Then you get a message in your inbox saying something like "I see you want our services.." and that means you have been marked. Then the harvester can appear (again RNG) on any Corpus tile sets. If you kill it, it will drop a BP plus sometimes a part. If it kills you, and there is no one else there to kill it, then it "harvests" you body. I am told there is a short mission where you have to kill your way through mob to get your stuff back. 

     

    Past that, there is alot of speculation. Some, including me, think the RNG for the harvester's spawn is weighted by the conclave rating of your gear, similar to the stalker. Other say the "mark" has a expiration period, or voids if you encounter him via someone elses mark, or if you play too many Corpus support missions. The most straight forward way to get him to spawn is to just keep playing Grineer support missions. Preferably the same one, so you don't unbalance the power of the solar system....which is exactly what happened. XD

  9. I spent hours on the phone with both of them over the past year or so trying to get the ports opened up. They won't do it because of "security issues" unless I upgrade my service to a business package and at around $200 per month, it's just not in my budget. Therefore, I gave up.

     

    A side note: A couple of weeks ago my internet service went down for a few days, due to the weather, and during that time I was able to use the tethering function on my mobile phone to get online. I did not get the Strict NAT error when playing through my phone.

     

    Hmm, that sucks. I don't see how they can be blocking UPnP ports though if your other games work. Who is your ISP and what kind of modem/router devices do you have.  Kind of sounds like the people over the phone didnt know how to help, so was giving you a line. I can find out for you for sure though. 

     

    Also, do you feel like taking another crack at it? I used to work for a ISP, so I know my way around them. But if your not feeling it, thats cool too.

Also I should give you a heads up that the in game message says "UPnP malfunctioning, please forward UDP ports #### and ####" when UPnP isn't working between Warframe and the router... and that even if the ports are forwarded, that message will still display (it displays so long as UPnP between the game/computer and router doesn't work properly).

     

    Good to know. What's the current work around? Disable UPnP and manual forward? Or do you find its more often a AV firewall issue or something? 

     

    Also, does anyone know the servers used for match making? Just looking for a IP that can be used to run tracert/pings to for testing.

  11. If you want to set it up privately with other users, that's your and their prerogative... but you can't really post that stuff out in the public since it does go against the fifth community rule (in regards to privacy and personal information).

     

    Understood. I don't think there will be a problem then. Some people hear screen viewing and scream "hacker". When really its all about a picture being worth a 1000 words. Wanted to ask to ere on side of caution.

     

    Maybe I should start with what UPnP and NAT is and how they work?
