Has Oberon been considered for a full rework yet? As it stands, his second ability is still not used due to it being a static area, and his third ability is still VERY limited because of the travel time on it. Would you consider converting them into 'auras' like the eximus units he drops from?

Thank you for the input. Certainly it is an idea worth considering at the very least. My problem is that it doesn't seem like it would help the issue of high shield frames being able survive the high level sortie missions where they have problems, and this sort of blanket buff would be equally awesome for armor frames at the beginning of a given fight. And in the middle to end it would make little to no difference. Shields have always been a second health bar, but from when the procs were added and the advent of the buffed form of Valkyr and what happened after her armor was massively increased, frames with high shields have almost always been better off building Rage and Quick Thinking than Redirection.

All of this makes zero sense, in the current context of the game.
First off, making "shields better" just allows us to go "slightly longer" in survival. Why? Because your personal idea of "X minutes" is not long enough? You do understand the concept of current Endless, right? Things scale up, and eventually you die. This is not a matter of "the maximum number of waves is 100, and NO ONE has ever gotten to even wave 50, so obviously balance is wrong, because 50 waves are wasted" you are stating that your "X minutes" is not as good as what I define as "X minutes" and then you don't even define what X is. Is it 40 minutes? 1 hours? 2 hours?
So DE does as you ask, and we now go X+30 minutes. Will someone else come back here in a month and ask for new mechanics to go X+60 minutes because X+30 was not good enough?
I'm not asking to go longer. I'm asking for build variety and for more frames to be viable for the tank-fest that is long missions and sorties. It's pretty simple in that regard. If I only wanted to go longer with what I had, then I'd be advocating for armor values to just apply to shields and health. I want a more diverse game in general. Hell, I may have another thread up soon about dead mods. You know, the ones that haven't been used by almost anyone since Damage 2.0 came out? But that's enough about stuff not related to this thread. Please argue against the system I have offered, and not about what you 'think' I am after.

I think magnetic procs working like corrosive procs vs shields (stacking integrity debuff) would be good.
I don't think anything will ever really make shields as important as health (for the simple reason that when you lose all your health, you die), but letting integrity work as both armor-style damage reduction and proc mitigation would go a long way. Warframes with high shield/integrity values (Volt and Mag definitely, and I wonder about Rhino, Frost, Chroma...) would gain huge durability boosts, and could take on more aggressive hit-and-run style play - they'd be more resistant to procs than other frames, but their fortitude would be transient. In general, tanking could become a lot different, and powers like Polarize could be reworked to buff integrity - there's a lot of potential to diversify. Volt especially would be interesting with his CC skills and shield regen, which could make him a genuine tank - when other shield Frames have to pull out, Volt could stun enemies to let his shields recharge and even overcharge them with his augment.
Gonna just boost this into the first post and quote it to you. Good ideas.

Lets face it, Shield Gating is not going to make frames with high shield values more viable. It won't make my favorite Volt Prime any better of a choice for a survival. It will make long endless missions slightly less frustrating. What Shields need to be a viable stat to build for is an armor equivalent. For the purposes of this thread I will call it 'Integrity'.
My proposal is thus: Give all shields an armor value. A separate one to Armor. Shield Integrity would scale the same as Armor, giving the same effective HP values, but I would also give it a 'proc resistance' value equivalent or less than the 'damage resistance' value one gets from armor. This would keep low-health frames from dying near-instantly from a lucky Toxin proc. Just make it reduce damage from the procs, but all other effects happen normally.
As for modding, I would go with the same principles for armor would work here as well. One major mod, and maybe a secondary nightmare mod. And make the major mod a part of Simaris' inventory for the general populace to get a hold of easily, But make it 25k-50k rep. And of course add it to some droplists. Like the Nullifiers.
Companion mods may be a more difficult thing to distribute in a guaranteed way, but I'm sure DE can figure that out.
Now there is one problem. Some things would need to have a pass done over them to make sure thing mesh nicely. Off the top of my head, Frost would need to have a revision done to Snowglobe (again). Right now it scales based on armor, but if this went through, then it might need to be swapped to Integrity. I'm sure there are other things that would need to be looked at, but for now this is all I have.
Hit me with your worst WF forums. I will endure.

Oberon is still role-less outside of low level solo play! When will he get a full rework? Again, I suggest making his second and third abilities radial auras, like the eximus units he drops from!
-
Have you ever considered reworking Oberon to use radial auras for his second and third ablities, much like the eximus units he drops from? Something that stays with him providing him with the buffs while they are toggled on? Perhaps even Reckoning could be reworked to a radial ragdolling knockback starting from him and going outwards like the Arson eximus units in particular?

Just gonna add in myself that I am not buying any of this unless there is an option for just the cosmetics. Boar P doesn't fit my playstyle, and I have Mag P and the Dakra. Give us the accessories separate!

Make slashdash scale with melee! And add to combo score!

As a long time player of Warframe, I am of the opinion this is the most fun I've had playing in a long time. Tons of enemies dropping tons of resources and mods with plentiful rewards in the form of keys that are otherwise difficult to farm. Don't change a thing DE. As for OP, quit whining.

Congrats Warbros. I would have helped carry, but this event was so awful I didn't want to grind for the stupid Sheev (I did though.) If the next event mods are puncture and impact, and the respective event weapons are not viable in the grind for the event itself, I don't care how many hours I invested. I'm going to uninstall.
-
This event was not fun.
I will say it again.
This event was not fun.
The mods aren't an improvement on anything.
The weapon is worse than the heat dagger.
The only way to grind the event was to use martyrs.
The only good thing is that none of these factors stopped Warbros. WBPA #1

The current state of the Karyst, Heat Dagger, and now the Sheev, is ridiculous. Please bring the attack speed up to a point that at least the first and last one are comparable to the other good melee weapons, like the Ichor and Orthos Prime

So, after reading through 25 pages of community opinions, I have come to some conclusions, along with my personal experience pre-'buff'.
One: Smite isn't awful any more. Puncture procs are very welcome as a utility.
Two: Hallowed Ground is still not worth slotting in any game mode that requires movement (read: everything except infested defence. And then the radiation damage is even more awful.) The %armor buff is completely ignorable for most other frames. Static fights are not the style of play for ninjas. Not even space ones.
Three: Renewal is somehow even worse than it was. Press button, receive slow, capped regeneration wasn't amazing, but it worked. The energy drain over time is far too taxing on Oberon's relatively limited health pool. Used to slot this in for patching up between fights, now I'd rather forma for rejuvenation.
Four: the new utility aspects of Reckoning are very welcome, but seem incoherent? Radial blind effect when they survive? Anyway, pre-changes this could provide pseudo CC by just recasting it endlessly, and now its like a mini, spamable Chaos. It works, but the damage is still negligible in T3+, like all other damage powers.
The community needs to be listened to on these changes. Hollowed Ground is something that will get left back in the mod collection almost every time now. Renewal is too taxing to keep up for when it is needed. Now let's get one of the frame programmers in here to address this particularly stinky kettle of fish.

Good lord, as if getting what you want from the @(*()$ sorties isn't bad enough already. For the love of all that is good and pure in this world, don't remove rifle rivens from the pool when you add the new ones. Just give us a popup which lets us pick what kind of riven we want. Let us pic between the three types, and rng can take over from there. Let us weight the numbers just a little bit in our favor if we get lucky.
