  1. Yeah I think the lack of information is what's getting to people. Even then every way I can think of that they'd be able to introduce it wouldn't be a good idea. It would be a Band-Aid solution to the underlying issues with their loot systems, that would actually cause it to only go right back to the same issue by skipping. A lot of people know that just by playing nodes that's where you get a lot of your materials from. Not to mention not every mission is replayable still to this day, and some of them serves as tutorials to teach you how to play. Allowing new players to skip past those, wouldn't give them the tools/experience let alone resources needed to be able to progress, and allow them currently to never experience those at all if they're unplayable still. Never mind the codex still hasn't been updated, and still lacks basic information that is not listed in load screens, like how affinity is distributed. That's if they're even going to see the load screens if they're not on new or hardware. I also find it odd that they said that they're trying to find a way to make the grind less especially for resources in that stream, but then announced that they're nerfing charm... You know the only free way of getting boosters by RNG that's not paying for them... Then say that they're trying to bring everything up to that level but also nerf it?! That doesn't even make sense. What's the level then that they're trying to bring it up to if it's changing again? Just sounds like they're just nerfing charm and leaving everything else alone, while also not fixing issues like null audit blocking shots, along with eximus bubbles that our hounds can take. Which is also an issue with many frames, like Frost, Nekros, and more. Or ignore actual gameplay issues for months which also disrespects the time of players. Having issues like this consistently doesn't instill confidence that I should be giving them money. Why would I pay for anything when my experience is gimped from issues that still go unfixed for months and maybe even years on end. If people's logic is to play solo in a online only game that is designed around four player co-op, that should explain nearly every issue with this game, and surly can't instill confidence let alone engagement with new players. Especially if you had to explain bugs to these newer players that been around for years. Which also makes the players feel ignored for sometimes major gameplay disrupting issues.
  2. I see this issue is still being ignored while DE thinks it's okay to sell skins for $80+, and thinking that story skip for money is a great idea. Meanwhile, this is an existing issue with older players, and makes a section of the game borderline unplayable. I guess we see their focus then. Money first, game last... A word of advice DE... If you want people to spend money on your game, make sure it's functioning and playable, and don't disrespect their time with something like this, and just let it go years unfixed like all the other bugs... Edit: Oh never mind... I just thought of something. If it's broken, it won't matter. DE gave us the solution. You have to buy it... They seem to be making that loud and clear.
  3. Even DE has said there's no guarantee that more heirloom skins will even exist after this. So, if they truly learned anything, they would have applied what they learned to solve the current issue instead of having solutions for something that may or not may exist a year or more from now. This isn't hardware that requires redesign changes for faults, and etc. here...To me, this says, "Yes, we S#&$ our bed, and we want to lie in it purposely too!" if anything, the years long existing bugs, continually pushing out untested content, and this, tells me they've learned nothing from the situation, while also slapping users in the face with this reply and little action to the situation, while trying to claim they've learned something. I've actually learned something about YOU DE, and a many others may have too...
  4. You probably won't then. Some people's eyes are just more sensitive to motion. While it kind of sucks that motion blur is gone, making it optional I think would have been a good choice, and is something I'll probably get used to. Current performance dips I won't. I really hope that this game is still using DRS, but doesn't appear to be. That could help with performance to keep it more stable, and is already part of the engine currently anyways. If it is using it, it's just subtle enough not to notice, and that's pretty good if it is. I also forgot to mention, it also seems that input delay is higher now too after the swap to the new engine. I'm playing docked with a Pro Controller if anyone was wondering.
  5. The lack of motion blur makes camera movement look like a stuttery mess. Is this new renderer even using DRS, or some sort of image reconstruction methods? While DRS was harsh on the old one, it so far seems to handle performance stability a bit better. Then again, this is a bit harsh, and narrow minded of me to say since this was JUST released. It is nice to see a more stable resolution instead of the noisy pixels from shifting resolutions. I've also seen harsher animation rate cuts to enemies that are literally on top of me as well than the old. Not entirely sure if that was intended, nor am I trying to make this a bug report either lol. I've even seen harsher performance dips so far, but nothing super serious compared to the old renderer. Ambient occlusion being gutted was VERY noticable on boot as well. It makes too many areas seem much brighter than they are, and some areas looking flat. Hopefully these cuts are worth the effort, and would be great to make performance better if possible than the old renderer if that's not a pipe dream. Best of luck with the Switch version, and hopefully these effects are not fully off the table in the future if possible.
  6. I also probably could have worded the joke/meme a bit better too, to be honest lol. You're good, no worries. Also, hopefully that comment didn't come off as aggressive. I usually speak, and type bluntly at times, and it can seem that way, or at least to me it can.
  7. They are absolutely not. It seems Activision is going Fortnite-tification with their games. Even going as far as to add a third type of battle pass for even more with some of thier games. To get the newest skins in OW2, you'll end up spending $80 total for the 2. That sounds familiar lol...
  8. Not sure where you got that from exactly. I was making a joke about OW2 players being upset with the skins being so expensive. If you even look through this post's thread, you'll even see that I've spoke against the Heirloom Skins. Also, those OW2 skins are recent.
  9. She's creative lead, and probably has little say in this as well. I'm with you I don't like this either, but let's not get too rash. I can be hyperbolic, and harsh too, as you can potentially see with my posts here too, but it would be nice to get some explanation too. I take it the lack of anything else said says it all so far. I would want at the very least, if they can't change anything else for some reason, at least give the player base an actual explanation as to why. Be transparent as possible, and answer many questions the community has given.
  10. This exactly. They wanted them to be as expensive as possible (to obviously make more per purchase), and during the most anticipated time for Warframe with the announcements, and what they shown at TennoCon to try to reduce the blowback. The leak didn't do them any favors, but I have a feeling it would have gone the same way anyways. It's too egregious not to. Honestly the best way to put it is to show somebody who knows nothing about Warframe the skins then see their reaction, then you show them the price and look at the reaction then. If they then want to go down the rabbit hole of how it's valued out, I almost bet their reaction will not change, but they would also be in a better position to have the regal aya. Also, adding packs wouldn't take away what people already bought. People bought what they bought because they wanted it. I almost bet that a majority of people here that don't care, and clearly like what they bought wouldn't have changed their mind if they could buy the skin separately or without all the added fluff. The lack of options just is lost sales overall for people who don't want to spend that much, or potentially buy things they can't use or want, let alone afford with the current economy. $90 of groceries is not as much as it was just a few years ago not counting shrinkflation companies are doing with products, which goes right in line with the piddly Platinum included years ago with regal aya, and now before this "change" for the packs. There's plenty of people and kids now who can't even afford homes, DE has the gall to ask insane prices for a new coat of paint for playable characters in a game that adds no new content, so you can keep doing the same content ad nauseam. People would sooner buy a NEW AAA game for that price, and have left over money for some snacks, or fast food. There isn't much of a way to look at this other than price gouging for the sake of profits, and banking that whales will keep them afloat, while also eroding their trust with the player base. I'm obviously not a founder, or been around as long as majority of the people playing this game, but I can almost assure you that my disappointment is probably just as immeasurable as yours if not more with this, and what it could mean for the future of this game. It's put me off of playing the game more, but it doesn't help I hit MR 30 not long ago, and can't find much more to do, but it appears that DE not only wanted to S#&$ the bed, but want to lie in it too. PS: Gotta love how this was to celebrate a past Warframe designer, but it seems more like a slap in the face. DE literally made his work one of the most divisive and contentious things of the year, and also want to remove it and to keep people from buying it and enjoying it at reasonable prices, or with platinum and game. It sounds like they literally want you to forget about it, just like they want you to forget about this whole situation. What a way to remember and treat an employee. A Warframe player who died got immortalized in the game (for now), and they treat and old artist like this...
  11. I can't imagine DE looking good at all after all this is through. To those who don't even know what happened in the past, needing to create a PSA for a PSA doesn't look great, nor does ignoring the community feedback for the backhanded "solution". My birthday is today, and I think I'm going to pull a DE. Imma sell selfies to random strangers for $90 a pop with a free nut punch to the patron. When they say they don't want that, I guess I need to make it 2 nut punches, because clearly giving people more of what they don't want while over charging for something that basically means nothing in the grand scheme of things, is clearly the best solution. I should also get someone to sketch these selfies to sell them as a $180 art book, when the book, War and Peace, has significantly more pages, and substance for like a tenth of the price. Crazy how I can find a hardback art book that covers 30 YEARS of art for one game for 1/9 the price of one for 10 years.
  12. The worst part about all this is, I felt like being mainly a free player (I bought regal Aya once), I always felt like I've never gave DE enough of my income I could as they felt like they deserved it. This is too much, and when I finally hit MR 30, I even though about getting the mastery pin from their shop for it to support them some more since it's in a decent price range for me. These are how things should feel, plus the many other things I've along with many other people have stated. After the way you handled this, I honestly don't believe you deserve a penny of my money currently. Especially when your game is still currently broken and riddled with bugs that are YEARS old. You'd think you'd get your ducks in a row before trying to charge as much as you currently are for just making frames look different.
  13. It is, as they have to abide by refund laws of other countries to begin with like Australia. They're just admitting they don't want to do the legal bare minimum of owning a company, and selling stuff to people.
  14. Get ready for the ass kissers who think DE are saints for making a change that they didn't learn anything from feedback, and tried to do this yet again (remember Regal Aya scam when it was introduced?). This post reeks of the feedback being completely ignored. You had over 8 pages to see what people were discussing on the forums, and you took one bit of it that was part of a discussion that was a comparison, and ran with it and went, "Look! We changed it! Give us a pat on the back!" while missing the whole point, and ignored the post's title even. The main complaints about Heirloom: 1: Too expensive because of the forced Regal Aya. Also plays part with feedback number 2 below. 2: No selections or options to opt out of buying stuff you don't want or need. Like being forced to buy both skins as 1 simple example. 3: Timed exclusive for no reason except FOMO, whale hunting purchases. Hate to tell ya. You still did, and doesn't seem like you did. Adding more plat to the purchase while keeping everything else the same was NOT what people were wanting.
  15. Things I would totally be fine with, though I'd prefer not to spend real money on skins, but understand people want to support a company if they wish. 1: Cut the padding, or add options without the outrageous padding to the skins, and add options to buy each skin individually without the padding too. More options is better. With more options like this, just about anyone with any income amount can get what they want, and support DE, but also remove the time availability. 2: Have the emotes and such be the only things that should be timed exclusive as those are the only things that would make sense to be, to be honest. If there has to be some sort of time exclusivity with the skins, make it temporary. Example: wait until next year to make it purchasable with platinum. It doesn't feel right to make skins only available for a limited time if you want to celebrate an old artist that's not with the WF team anymore. Especially with frames that aren't used by a majority of the players for a few reasons. As it currently stands, these skins will be forgotten about in the future except for people posting them as "fashion frame", and then the conversation will always spark up with, "where do I get these?" With the answer being, you can't... What a way to remember an artist... I hope they're getting residuals from these purchases (which I doubt it)...
  16. Funny thing is, that user you replied too, and their comment that got deleted, can't ironically take criticism themselves. They used to post builds on Overframe, and people would criticize them. This user didn't like it, and decided to "quit" making builds for the site despite a lot of them being pretty flawed, just like their logic with the skins.
  17. There's an easy braindead fix for all this. Remember the regal Aya scam where DE said they don't/didn't put Plat with every purchase (despite they did, and even do for physical items like statues in the past)? Maybe for once they can live up to that at a reasonable rate. Stop shoving forced plat, and now Regal Aya (Like why, and who even wanted this?) on everything, and sell things in packs for JUST the things people are wanting. These prices are absolutely absurd for what YOU'RE NOT getting if you even bought Wisp Prime access right now. These temporary items that will be gone when servers get shut down in the future, are priced higher than NEW videogames that currently offer hundreds, if not thousands of hours of NEW content. Not just a fresh layer of paint for your preferred character going through the same content ad nauseam. Also, especially a fresh layer of paint for some of the least used frames. Nevermind the absolute FOMO with it being supporter packs knowing they go away.
  18. Yeah, this is getting insane how long this bug has been out. This is getting to levels of absurdity. This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take MILLIONS of credits, tons of resources, and time to wait for the right stats and passive, and hope you get very close to the perfect stats, then this happens when you finally get the almost perfect crew for your ship... At this point allowing the players to costimize their crew members just based off of their rank so to speak, would be significantly better and avoid these issues entirely. Let me choose every stat down to the detail and passive on them, and make them look like who their aligned with how I wish. My crew has been borderline unusable by this bug, and I've been avoiding RJ like the plague because of this. Worst part is, there are probably many others who have no clue something happened to their crew, or Liches and haven't reported it because of not even realizing. Just to add too. I paid for a crew member slot a while back, that is basically worthless right now as every crew member I currently have is borderline unusable compared to what they were... At the rate this wasn't fixed, we could have dumped everything, and potentially found replacements, and further wasted our time and resources, probably for this to happen again, or this will just go on being an issue like Baruuk's Desert Wind combo bug that was introduced YEARS AGO fixing the SAME ISSUE on Garuda, and was never even fixed or thought of when the Prime variant of him was in development... It's like I've always said about F2P games that treat many bugs like this: "Good thing you can buy stuff no issue (/s if not obvious)... But make the game playable, or functioning? Nah."
  19. I see the Volt shield glitch I reported with Tenet/Arca Plasmor hasn't been fixed. That's unfortunate, but also mostly avoidable for the most part. Also, RIP RJ crewember stats still.
