My PC account was a founder account that I made on my toaster of a laptop in 2013. I migrated to PS4 shortly after it's release. If I didn't have founder exclusives on my pc account I'd be more than happy to wipe it's progress since I haven't done much with the account since migration. However due to the fact I do have exclusives DE have essentially put me in a position where I either wipe out an account that has thousands of hours on it, wipe out an account with exclusive content that will never be made available again or make a new pc account which defeats the entire purpose. I've basically stopped playing since the release of cross save to be honest. The non-responses and lack of clarity from DE, flip flopping on issues, inaccuracies in the faq have essentially made the cross save release an absolute shambles. Not to mention the fact that up until day of release there was zero mention in the faq about migration being barred. I'm stepping away from Warframe till this is sorted out, makes me truly sad after ten years playing this game.

This is one of those times when reading before writing a comment would be educational. They specifically said that's not what they're interested in. Literally the first line. Many of us merged to consoles a decade ago, we didn't know what negatives it would cause back then we just knew we were playing on toasters. Due to that merge we are ineligible for an account merge now and can only link accounts. If we overrwite our pc account we have no idea if we'll lose our founder items or if they're just sort of invisible to us on PS because the language of the guide is not clear. Nobody is asking about using founders gear on PS which is a different discussion entirely. We just don't want our founders gear to be nuked on pc because of a decision we made a decade ago.

Having the same worry about founder items. This feels like an unnecessary addition that's going to cause more trouble than it's worth. I get the reason, de not wanting us to have duplicate items plat etc but is that really worth the amount of complaints they might receive if someone nukes their account taking things in good faith? Surely they have a way to trace what's been merged previously and if they don't? Why wasn't this thought about? Simple procedure would be giving every item a unique player ID for instance then have the system check for duplications and delete one. Every update of the cross save faq is making me less and less excited and more and more worried about touching it with a 10ft pole

Hey so this is a clarification question, I'm a founder who switched to console early on making use of the account migration back then. A late entry to the guide has now shown that my accounts will be ineligible for merging and I'll only be able to link them due to this, okay things happen oh well. My issue is if I link these accounts per my understanding my pc account will be totally overrwitten, however I have no idea if any of my founder items will be available after this (on pc) . There's no indication that I'm a founder within the forums nor in accolades for my ps account so I feel justified in being nervous about this. Even though it's stated the account is a copy there's nothing that allows me to see this and be sure before pressing a button that's clearly stated to be irreversible.
