Main wisp here, never in my whole life used casting speed on her
It's nice but it's not needed like it is on someone like harrow or garuda for example

I don't main anything but i do have like 1k+ hours on 4 different Wisps🤣

I wouldn't play her without casting speed. Motes and breach surge feel sluggish.

She doesn't really need that many mods to excel in almost every scenario either. A balanced build has several flex slots for QoL mods and shards can free up a couple more slots. So much build freedom on Wisp, unless you stack strength to meme lvls.

I get it, but when I see a Warframe with a Buff I'd want to build around it, for example the haste buff gives me sprint speed so I modded for +100% extra SP in my arsenal, because I see that any speed buff without some sprint speed is pointless.

I modded her 3 and 4 with high strength as well, and the shards I mentioned.

I wish I can go even further with strength, or that Her buffs weren't so weak at base, maybe I could settle with just 200% strength

Wisp is one of the most versatile frames in the game imo. There are a lot of ways to build her and most of them are a lot of fun to play as well.

You could use precision intensify over umbra to boost her 4 and molt augmented over efficiency which would give you ~100 strength. You could also run madurai for 40% from sling strength which might snapshot sol gate since it's a channeled ability. That would get you close to 400 strength on her 4 and ~250 for everything else.

Honestly, I haven't put much thought into her 4 since the rest of her kit is so good and i don't like being locked out of basic WF mobility. Archon shards do open up some build opportunities that were previously unattainable though, I might have to give it another look at some point.

    8. Voruna: .... Easy lvl cap frame... she's not used by a few people because they seem obsessed with making her 4 work.  Ignore it and she's great at any lvl.  Might be a misunderstanding and trying to get her 4 to be used heavily.  If you replace it all of a sudden you can clear rooms at lower lvls and top damage vs nuke weapons.

Voruna is a scary good frame. Her 4 is a solid meh but I dare anyone to name a frame with 4 great abilities.

Pair her with some sort of grouping like nautilus + manifold bond and argonak + gas dagger and her kps average is insane. Like 20+ enemies just poof in a split second. I found the novelty wore off fairly quick but but she's a legit frame.

More on topic to the thread I would like to see Mirage get some work done.

Hall of mirrors is one of my favorite abilities in the game(i wish it was her subsume) but to make it really shine you'll have to use hall of malevolence and total eclipse.

Sleight of hand needs an augment to work against lower lvl enemies. It's great for low lvl nuke but dmg falls off pretty quick last time i tried.

Eclipse is hit or miss and always has been. DE should really just make tap/hold or cycle option for this ability so it reliably gives the buff you desire and not at some random percentage of modded values.

Prism is kinda meh imo. You can make it work if you meet specific scenarios but that base casting speed is a complete turn off for me. It just flies away from you unless you use an augment but every other ability already wants an augment slot.

Mirage is soooo close to being a really cool frame that could work it's way into my regular rotation but every ability irks me in some way.

  3. Fixing this known bug with Kompressa and Mag's bubble/xata's whisper would be super cool. It's been bugged since kompressa was released 2+ years ago.

Also fixing things like Xaku's lost and Ember's inferno not proccing mods like Brief respite and and Augur mods would also be really cool.

There might be more abilities that also don't generate shields on cast but I'm too lazy to check them all. It should be fairly easy to go through the roster testing each ability in the sim and seeing which ones just don't work.

I thought about using fused reservoir to cut down the time it takes to pull out all plants, but there were no room...I kind of need that sprint speed to be honest.
also only her first ability is slow to me.

Wisp is my most used frame and I've used casting speed on basically every build so it feels terrible without it. I'm sure most people would look at my wisp builds and laugh because I don't build for ridiculously high strength. I just don't see the point of building for hp/regen when she has no damage reduction and low base armor, she's not a great tank and shield gating is a thing. Double tapping her 2 is cheap rolling guard w/o status cleanse and breach surge effectively removes the chance of receiving any incoming damage. Why do I need health when I have an i frames and enemies don't pose a threat. Wisp should not die if you use her 2 and 3.

Anyways, it's just hard to watch other people play wisp when they place motes in slowmo. I just want to convert people to low strength and faster cast wisp builds lol.

  5. I know it will never happen and I hate it when people suggest WF implement things from other games but I kind of wish every ability had several "augments" and you could toggle on what variation of the ability you wanted.

Like breach surge would have the option to choose between base radiation damage or choose any of the other combined elements of viral, corrosive, magnetic, gas or blast.

More weird builds would be fun even though it's totally unnecessary.

There's like 3 frames that could use more casting speed

    Different playstyles I guess.

I've always like playing casters in hack and slash arpg type games so I can kind of bring a comfortably familiar playstyle to WF. Up until archon shards natural talent was a "mandatory" mod on at least 90% of my builds.

It's far less impressive when you realize that all* CO-type effects are unaffected by the Extinguished Key.

That was also before melee changes as well.

Afaik CO still applied at full effect but it was based off of the 25% base damage?

Doesn't really matter either way, Not really impressive to lvl cap anyways, it's more of how long are you willing to play a single mission type of thing.

Hold up… so all of that “We shouldn’t be OP” wasn’t a choice, but the fact that they can’t build a gun correctly?

No, this is absurd, I thought you were simply nerfing yourself for the sake of fun. Just do what I accidentally did: Equip a dragon key that reduces your damage then completely forget you ever equipped it.

I totally forgot to unequip extinguished dragon key after running vaults a few years ago. I ran it for like a month before I noticed.

Probably didn't help that I rename weapons after dragon keys so randoms in pubs tell me that I 'm still running keys. It's stupid but i find it funny.

I actually lvl capped Nyx with it equipped.🤣

    Oh god.

And when you bring a Steel Path build to Arbitrations, designed to go infinitely far, what do you think happens to, you know, the first few rounds people are typically going to do?

You do know that DE give a frame and weapon a 300% strength/damage buff for arbi right?

Like DE is making players stronger for those specific missions. That's what the are there for. To bring OP builds and farm.

    I can't, I just cant.

The main thing I was thinking about the filter is that, if someone knows what they’re built for, then the odds of accidental sidelining would be vastly reduced because they know that they’ve made an Arbitration build versus a level 80 build versus an SP build, and know that if they’re built for SP and drop down into Arbitrations, they’re gonna have to keep an eye out for whether they’re sidelining their teams. Like, sure, it’s not reasonable to expect content-perfect builds, but it’s fairly easy for someone to identify if they’re going to sideline someone else, it’s not exactly rocket surgery.

You have no idea what you are going on about.

Arbi  are endless missions. You don't bring a build to take on enemies at the start of the mission. You take a build that can take on enemies of any lvl because enemy lvl goes up the longer you stay. You'll be bringing the same builds you take into SP into Arbi.

as someone who never really cared about Rivens for anything other than niche underrated weapons that I happen to like, such as my Prisma Grinlok, I'd be happy to see them scrapped altogether and watch the forums burn as the "Riven mafia" and their salty trader friends howl and scream at the loss of their easy plat.

    This some bs right here.

Just imagine the backlash DE would get from completely removing all rivens. DE would get blasted on every social media platform. The forums would be the least if their concerns because only a miniscule percentage of players ever make it here.

I sure would be a spectacle to watch DE shoot themselves in the foot while it's in their mouth but I personally don't want to watch that and I definitely wouldn't take pleasure in it.

It’s not always about the reward incentive alone, there’s also the goal of just how much you can avoid being inconvenienced by the game or other players while chasing it. Even if DE incentivised more reward from SP, the gamemode itself was designed for players to take their comparitively-few most-powerful builds to test in a mode that shortcutted players to higher-level crunchier enemies, and you just plain get more options to easy-street your way to mission complete as fast as possible outside of SP. And the more incentive for unbalanced SP, the more players feel pressured into the gamemode, the fewer options they find themselves with despite the main game still being there as it ever was, the more they complain, the more powercreep increases, the less SP is the place it once was, the more players complain that the game’s too easy for their most powerful builds, and so on and so forth

IMO once SP was released the normal star chart should have never been considered the main game mode or the base line ever again. It should be where newer or more casual players play and/or learn to play the game. SP should be the eventual goal those players progress to. There should never be crossover where a MR30+ player is in a lith fissure against lvl 9 enemies with a MR4 ever. The difference in power is off the charts it's not even comparable. It's not normal for something like this to be a thing in other games but that's the game the way DE designed it.

DE knew players could take any frame with countless loadout variations and solo SP before it was released because we were lvl capping every frame long before SP was a thing. DE knew power creep had gotten away from them. Then they double down on it and add weapon arcanes, incanons, helminth, lich/sister weapons etc. How can anyone with basic knowledge of the current game and any significant playtime not ez normal star chart on their most basic builds.

This really is a "don't hate the player hate the game" kinda situation we got here.

These days I'm -mostly- at 130 or 145% even when I'm doing pure melee, only occasionally pulling out the sub-100% Savage build.  But I'm not playing anything for long longer than 40 minutes, except the very occasional Circuit.

I'm going to try Xata with the low range build though, even if I'm a little sad the wiki says Influence can't spread void status.

I thought it did but I'm probably just spamming my primers and proccing void on everything. Or maybe the range on my melee is half the radius of influence and everything is getting proc. I really do like melee and therefore utility primers as well.

Epitaph and silence were made for each other. Cold procs to prolong that stagger and give her some breathing room. Love it.

    Edit:

I figured it out. I've been playing Nova almost exclusively for the last week or so and M Prime does some funky things when enemies explode. Weird stuff with things like acid shells, vulcan blitz and argonak. Xata void bubble is also getting spread and my build has 19.9m radius on M Prime explosion which is really close to the 20m radius of influence.

That soft segregation based on trust is already failing to cut it because there’s a reason players are building like they’re going into SP, and then not going into SP. The content they’re choosing to do is designed for alternative builds and loadouts that don’t do SP, whether they’re created by some newbie or some 2k-hour player who knows what they’re building for and likes the freedom of choice to do it, if that player isn’t also doing something like leveling things that don’t automatically have 60 capacity and forma’d slots

There isn't enough incentive to farm SP fissures. Why spend extra time in a SP fissure for 1 SE and the exact same drop rates when the goal is the prime part and normal star chart is faster? Since every 3 months we get new primes we will forever be stuck in this cycle. The players that have everything feel the need to hop back into low lvl fissures to get newly released primes. DE has created this situation, we're all just stuck playing along side each other. Well, more like in front of and behind each other, but you know what I'm saying.

If players had a reason to farm SP fissures they would leave and you all would have an abandoned normal star chart all to yourselves. You'd get bored eventually and progress to SP. The natural order of games would be restored where new players would be left alone and more advanced players would progress.

I've been having this exact same discussion for 3+ years yet I somehow always let myself get dragged into it again and again.

12 pages of “It’s a lawless land, though the rules are clear, and you’re gonna follow them because there’s no alternative when you sign up for multiplayer”.

When DE separate us, then there’ll be something approaching peace because we’re not stepping on each other’s toes.

Or when DE nerf stuff like AoE into the ground, causing players to get their solo-in-multiplayer kicks elsewhere because the point clearly isn’t being made when the game developers take away the toys they trusted us to use in good faith. By this point I’m fine with that too, though I wouldn’t have been in the past

The thing is some players that like SP were also the ones pushing DE to separate the player base. I was asking for SP fissures since day 1. There is no reason that someone with thousands of hours should be farming the same enemies we were fighting in the first week of starting the game. That makes no sense. SP fissures are still relatively new but DE has not done a good job at incentivizing the player base to make the move to SP fissures as the new farm for prime parts. A single extra SE is not enough for most people since they are there for prime parts. Double drop rates on gold would be though. If gold drops were 20% in SP fissures we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

I see SP like I see normal/nightmare/hell difficulty in Diablo 2. It was a way to separate the player base so that over powered players wouldn't be wiping the map for lower lvl players. You reached a certain lvl and normal was no longer a challenge and the drops were no longer useful so you naturally progressed to nightmare. From there the same thing happened in nightmare and you progressed to hell. D2 did it better because there was a whole new loot table in the next difficulty setting and you got way less xp from low lvl enemies. You were not only incentivized to progress but if you stayed put your progress would come to a screeching halt. That is the natural progression of games like this but DE is doing their own thing so we're stuck together.

If you're wondering, I was actually asking about SP fissures on day 1. I was trying to avoid this situation from the beginning.

I have the same issue with Protea. I want to like her so much. I don't even mind the rewind but due to Shield Gating with her 1st ability it's kinda pointless. I run 145% Range on Banshee. I don't generally melee. Just jump around like a loon with cast speed on her Resonance / Silence. I only run QT on her. If you really wana push the effort. I did a level 900 Circuit with her last week without being downed. My old endurance runner instincts kicked in.

I was thinking Pillage on Banshee in place of her best way to die 4th ability. She's got the Power for it at 13x Sonar.
Keeps me from having to put another Defensive mod on too.

Glad I'm not the only one who figured Rift Surge was a good option for Protea though. She's so weird.

I've never really really been able to turn off that endurance mindset once i jumped into the deep end. Every build has to scale to infinity unless it's for very specific unrelated purposes.

Before the eximus rework I had several Banshee builds that I really enjoyed. My favorite was Condemn(over her 4 of course) because it was great to lockdown enemies before sonic boom rag dolled them out of melee range. It also reset shield gate incase I didn't kill enemies before they recovered from silence stagger. My panic button followed by the you shouldn't have fd with me button. Eximus just don't care now so it's kinda dead build.

Breach surge is a great ability, I'm probably biased since I've played a lot of Wisp. She's my go to idk what I want to play frame. Chill relaxed just kill stuff anywhere frame. I don't go stupid high strength though, if you use her kit the hp/regen isn't needed and attack speed is too much imo. It's actually hard for me to watch other people play Wisp, dump all stats in strength/duration and neglect her 2/3 and still die because they rely on a single ability to carry them.

The larger portion of my arsenal will never be relevant so long as im expected to fight what is now level 200+ enemies.

There are always going to be items that underperform, especially in a game as old as WF is.

There are 700+ items to choose from in our arsenal. Not all of those are going to scale into highest lvl SP, and they shouldn't. Games liek this need starter item and end game items. A lot of games have items that are basically meant to be discarded once you rank up and acquire better gear. Seems to be the natural progression of games like this. \

It does feel bad when you're old gear is no longer relevant but it's almost always replaced with something else that is just as fun and better suited to the current state of the game.

I use Xata on my Nova, Nekros and Mesa. Shame it kinda scuffs fashion but can't hate on a 1.5x bonus that deals +50% to Overguard.

I've been debating what I wana put on Protea over Dispenser. Maybe Rift Surge.

If you can mass proc status Xata is a great form of crowd control. What can't shoot you can't kill you...as easily.

I really like xata on a 79% range Banshee. Since silence doesn't stagger eximus anymore so I can proc xata on them and remove the threat long enough to kill priority targets. Base range feels like a little too much but narrow minded + stretch is the sweet spot imo. It's a super fast active melee focused playstyle that I enjoy. Stagger>prime>close the distance and melee kill.

I have wisp's helminth over protea's 3 on one of my builds. Protea is one of those frames I really want to like but can't find a build that really meshes with my playstyle. I can get close but i always put her down and move on to other things. I think she could really shine with some aoe armor strip, maybe something like pillage on her 4 with precision intensify and cast every 4th ability. Sounds like too much micro managing rotations though. Maybe mass proc corrosive with 2x green shards for full strip. I'll figure something out eventually.
