  1. How does one test this with a large enough sample size to confirm kills from a weapon with certain mods equipped and a single ability guarantee a drop? You'd need multiple people testing with a bunch of kills before you could confirm 100% drop chance.

Idk, I'm skeptical. It also doesn't seem that rare either, I've crafted everything that requires it and still have enough left over to craft everything 3 more times and I don't play zariman or albrecht's lab unless I have to. I also ignore mechs. I don't even know where I got them but I never needed them when I wanted to craft anything. Like most other resources i just passively farmed more than enough.

  2. Xaku is pretty good against infested. Grasp wrecks anything without armor and infested don't have armor so you can subsume something like silence over their 3 if you want. Huge range silence can be annoying on Xaku with enemies getting staggered ~50m away but once inside that range eximus are basically harmless because they die before they get close and they have no abilities.

I run RDD or any other dagger + argonak to strip acolytes on Xaku since Gaze doesn't work on them. Vastilok with shattering impact is another acolyte armor strip option for Xaku if you want to run a primary.

Viral/heat Ocucor is my go to secondary on Xaku unless I'm running nourish build then it's cor/heat. The range on ocucor is ridiculous if you use ruinous extension. Gaze is also a good option for a Ocucor like weapon if you don't have sentient surge. My build is Gaze, ulnaris because it looks cool and macro arcroid for status chance and mag cap. I think you can get more range(7-10m??) on gaze if you built without ulnaris but 38m is plenty with ulnaris + ruinous extension imo. Epitaph quick shot spam is another secondary option with viral/heat build. Force cold procs are nice cc on any frame.

Citrine is also a good choice. There is so much going on in her kit and a lot of ways to build her. I just wish that prismatic gem was base 20m to match silence. oh well.

I'm meaning Xaku if you're wondering.

I'm way more excited for Xaku than Protea. I really just want to see what they do with with xaku prime skin. I want to like protea, her kit has enough to work with, it's unique and interesting but the play style just doesn't click with me I guess.

I am very excited for her. I only play with prime frames but I still dabbled a bit with her since she was given away plus know one of her abilities all too well due to helminth.

I never understood this. If I find a frame I like I'm going to play it. Primed is pretty much just a new skin since the stat increase doesn't really matter a lot of the time. The plat/forma investment into a nonprime frame is minimal as well. Like waiting 3-4 years to save some forma and a small chunk of plat doesn't make sense to me.

I like theory crafting and testing newly released frames is some of the most fun I have in this game. I get a shiny new toy every 3 months and I try to break it.

Khora was my most used frame before she was primed. By the time she was primed I was already bored with her and Wisp became my most used. By the time Wisp Prime was released Xaku moved their way to top 3 most used. Now I'm on a big Citrine kick, she's quickly climbing up the ranks. Gyre is going to get some more playtime here soon too.

I'm just curious what motivates people to wait years on a prime before they give a frame a chance. Idk, doesn't really matter either way, we all get to choose how we have fun in this game.

This is still broken, please fix.

Does changing her energy colors to darker shades make it less noticeable? I know it's not a fix but might help mitigate the problem until DE fixes it...again

I set a lot of energy colors on frames/weapons to dark colors to reduce visual clutter. I also turn down a lot of video settings because this game is too much visual stimulation sometimes and gets overwhelming.

I'm not noticing what you are and wondering if it's energy colors, my settings or a combination of both.

  5. Mine seems fairly accurate.

Frames in order are Xaku, Mag Prime, Wisp Prime, Nova Prime and Wisp.

My top 5 favorited loadouts are xaku, mag, wisp, nova and citrine. Wisp Prime release around mid year split my play time between prime and non primed bumping her from the top and bumping citrine off the list. I ran a lot of long solo Xaku missions to just zone out and kill stuff so it makes sense they are number one.

Weapons are argonak, epitaph and vastilok. This makes sense because argonak+dagger has been my favorite combo for armor strip since it frees up a helminth ability on a lot of frames. Epitaph is too good to not use. Since Xaku was most played vastilok makes sense too because I used vastilok on them to strip acolytes. If I used just one dagger it would have been number one but I cycle through RDD, balla, karyst prime, innodem and ceramic dagger.

Panzer as most used companion which is surprising because I main djinn forever and it has 4x+ moreused time than panzer but maybe I used panzer more in the last year. idk

I'm a filthy non apologetic Vaz main so no surprises there.

Pull as most used ability also checks out since Mag is number 2 and I spam pull enemies into magnetize bubble and let naturak do the dirty work. I also solo Wisp a lot with stupid high range and pull. Breach surge everything > pull enemies into a nice little pile > melee said pile with armor strip argonak and gas/electric dagger to insta poof the room.

  6. Mag's pull is totally scuffed. It doesn't so much pull anymore, it's more of a trip. Woohoo LoS!!!

While I'm on the topic of Mag, I've been bumping this bug report thread for over 2 years.

It was acknowledged as a reproduceable bug here as well.

You're asking for a beta-testing branch, which DE already has, but they've never bothered using to test new content ever since adding crossplay.

Was that the public test cluster thing from a couple years ago or does DE have regular test servers before major releases?

Just forma your Warframe again OR farm a duplicate frame to make different builds.

The one thing I dislike about building another copy of a frame is that new frame has it's own set of stats. Like I have 3 Wisp built and I can only increase the xp and kills displayed for that frame on my profile if I play the one with the most xp. The other copies will only add to those stats if they surpass the copy with the highest stats.

Adding forma also resets xp to zero and you have to build back up to the xp that's displayed on your profile before you can increase that number.

It's a minor complaint and doesn't really matter, I just wish that stats were displayed correctly on my profile.

  9. Considering how hard people hated on the brief iframes from shield gating over the years I'm honestly surprised OG hasn't become the new thing to hate on.

Or how is a team wide regenerating third health bar ok but any form of crowd control is taking it too far? If both types of abilities effectively remove all threats what's the difference?

There are so many ways to break the game and it just interesting seeing where people draw the line of what's acceptable what isn't.

  10. I like endless missions. Well, I like survival and disruption.

Conjunction survival is awesome. I was a void dweller living in ani/mot for the longest time but having mini bosses, acolyte and sentients all spawn at the same time made me move to Lua. Omnia fissures on conjunction survival was just icing on the cake. I'm not entirely happy about the direction of the game right now but I still log in to check for Circulus omnia fissures.

I had high hopes when new endless missions were announced with zariman release but they were all a chore to play imo. Same goes for new Deimos endless missions alchemy and mirror defense. These are my least favorite missions because we could have had more enjoyable endless mission types and instead we get tedious busy work.

Uhhh...that is not what CC is made for, and this is why the community isn't doing very well with explaining their true issue with CC. So, CC controls most enemies and weakens ALL enemies, but just because a select very few mini boss style enemies need a strategic step to overcome before a CC 's full effect,

And what is the strategic step to overcome their cc immunity?

I gotcha...but do you think our two choices of frame building define the challenge of the eximus units instead of their lack of CC susceptibility?

A glass cannon build always come with greater risk and make even a more basic unit seem more threatening. Meanwhile, I begin to sweat much later in the game where perhaps greater ability duration or range would come more in handy, but the frames can still take hits before I have to go into recovery.

Often, I tend to already have a class of weapons that supplements a particular frame's abilities and features, so I go a little hard when balancing the kit. Frames like an Ember, Frost or Nidus, for example, get types like the Parasitic bow, Incarnon Atomos, Incarnon Sancti Magistar and a Moa to help keep enemies close while creating faster opportunities to do finishers. Meanwhile, a Limbo or Nyx type would get more like the Trumna, a beam secondary like the Synoid Gammacor, glaives and a robo doggo, of which all are VERY good at clearing eximus, Acolytes and mobs nearly instantly but also spreads some aggro via a bit of radiation and the robo doggo's separation precept (forgot the name).

So basically, one style likes to keep enemies close while the other accounts for the lower eHP of some frames and has an arsenal that can keep enemies occupied or at a distance, in case I need to recover.

IF we aren't talking endurance and just basic SP stuff I think building to tank or having DR as part of a frames kit definitely reduces the threat of eximus units. Every eximus isn't an immediate threat if you can take sustained hits for a brief period.

Like I've been enjoying Citrine lately for her status chance/duration buff and free priming but she also has a 90% DR ability in her kit. Using rakta dark dagger on her I can basically shield tank to about lvl 400 before my shields start getting one tapped. Without that consistent 90% DR she would be like every other shield gate build and have shields one tapped from the start of a SP mission.

And this is what I don't get. There aren't enough eximus units at a time for the frames you mentioned to be in such a bad position that we can't concentrate our fire on them while the mobs are under CC. To me, it makes perfect sense in this game to have weaker enemies succumb to room lockable abilities while the far fewer and much stronger "mini boss" style enemies can power through them. It would feel pointless to have EVERYTHING pose a minimal threat, especially in endurance SP, where I think this argument is stemming from. Even then, we're talking about much higher endurance levels where the game SHOULD be trying to wipe you out faster with more out of norms tactics like adding significantly more eximus enemies. At that point, very few frames are relying on most abilities and, instead, are using everything cohesively....or should be.

On a side note, I am assuming it is the squishiness of some of these frames that is part of the issue? Ember aside (who is a mega tank), I can see your angle but that's why we have mods and arcanes to balance that. This could be why I am not seeing the CC frame issue as an issue. I hate the low shield gating method, so I build every frame to at least have high health and at least 1500 armor (arcane guardian's 900 armor is added to get there for some frames) so they can take some hits and allow mods like Adaptation and Shock Absorbers to get me to a comfortable, consistent level of defense. Maybe I'm in the minority by doing this, but this keeps frames like Limbo, Nyx, Yareli and Volt in a tanky enough spot for me to have a lot more fun with my full arsenal.

Sure I can slap armor shards, health and armor mods/arcanes, adaptation, and DR helminth on any frame and build them as a tank but at that point why not just pick a frame that is designed to tank. I'd rather build towards a frames strengths and not gimp their kit by building to make up for their deficiencies.

I've also always hated playing tanks in every game. I get bored quickly straight face tanking. I like crowd control and glass cannon casters, I find it a more engaging experience when everything poses a threat until I deal with the situation.

I don't get it. Are these eximus dudes so powerful that they just destroy you guys? C'mon, spit out: which CC frames are going through such a hopeless, dreadful,  absolutely horrendous time that this discussion needs to keep coming up?

Look at Banshee, the brief 2 second stagger on enemies as they enter silence range was enough time to deal with most enemies including eximus before the eximus rework. Now even though eximus abilities as nullified they still have their weapons and will kill you with them.

Or look at elemental casters like gyre and ember, they are both capable of mass spreading status effects. Electric tesla chain and heat ignite effects are good soft cc but it doesn't matter how many fodder enemies are effected when the dangerous ones give zero #*!%s.

Then we have frames like Revenant, he doesn't care that he can't enthrall an eximus because mesmer skin exists. We also have Rhino with iron skin and roar, he never needed to cast stomp to cc eximus because he tanks and buffs damage. Eximus pose little to no threat for these type of frames.

There is a huge difference between frames that rely on cc for survival and frames that don't, everyone should be able to realize this. If a frame is designed around cc abilities then there are key parts of their kit that do absolutely nothing to some of the most dangerous enemies in the game and since we are "forced" to build to brute force our way through overguard we melt standard trash mobs and they don't really matter.

Enemies with Crowd Control immunity (ex: Overguard) have had the following interactions removed:

    • Frost's Ice Wave Impedance Augment (specifically the frozen trail that slows them)
    • Rhino’s Stomp (slow effect)
    • Primary Obstruct (weapon jamming)
    • Exodia Epidemic (enemy suspension)
    • Zenurik Temporal Drag (slow effect)
    • Wisp’s Breach Surge (blind)
    • Halikar (disarm)
    • Mesa’s Muzzle Flash (blind)
    • Proboscis Cernos (stun and pull)
    • Mag’s Counter Pulse Augment (robotics disabling and disarm)
    • Mag’s Fracturing Crush Augment (immobilization)
    • Malicious Code (immobilization)

    Crowd control officially dead....

    GG peace

It's actually making players blood flow as there is a possibility of failure. While it can be easy if you have your meta frame and weapon just like in the circuit, having less than optimal gear made it challenging. And like the circuit, again I'm learning how to play frames I never play.

What sucks is after playing almost every frame(i have not seriously tested some of the most recent frames), adding forma/potato and testing various builds I've learned I just don't like playing the majority of them. Playing SP circuit just reinforced how much I dislike some frames. The same goes for weapons, I have a lot of forma dumped into weapons that I don't use and don't like, I gave them a chance and things didn't work out.

Like this weeks rotation I got Banshee, Kuva chakkurr, cycron and reaper prime. I like Banshee, I've solo lvl capped that frame but I don't really want to run her without revives. Kuva chakkur is a beast, I liked that thing and used it to solo eidolons back when it came out but I got bored with it. I do like tenet cycron, its a great utility primer. Reaper prime is my 4th most used melee, I have a as/range/cd/- riven for it and it has almost 1/4 million kills but I've stopped using it because it's stances feel clunky to me now.

I know I can make that random loadout work but I also know it won't be fun. I'd rather put together a loadout that I know can accomplish the task and is enjoyable. Being able to make informed choices is what I really enjoy about warframe. I've played enough and tested a lot of thing to figure out what I like, removing that choice sucks all the fun out of it and makes it feel like a chore.

I'm aware, but the nerfing of that mod pretty much killed the viability of pure spin builds. Far better for melee and the game itself but still one of the only "playstyles" DE killed.

I believe that the change to range, combo and the fact that it went through walls also played a huge part of killing spin to win. Changing the mod was one thing but there were several other factors at play there as well.
