  1. After like 1K hours of play, I realized Warframe is extremely... LOOPY. I mean, the whole game (or like 98% of it) revolves around this LOOP: "Play to earn stuff to make more powerful weapons/frames, so you can play higher level missions and get more arcane stuff to get even more powerful weapons/frames"... and on and on and on... forever. The gameplay itself is great and fun, but it's practically always the same: same missions on different places, same enemies... and on and on and on. There's no goal, just this eternal LOOP (maybe it has to do with... "eternalism"? LOL!). Apart from running around in this LOOP, everything you do is pointless: the enemies are always there, the bosses come back to life, "Operator, the System needs you": and it always will (because this LOOP keeps the game running). Most players never "enjoy" the game, they run as fast as they can to mission end, to get their stuff. They're like gerbils in their LOOPY rotating cage: running as fast as possible and getting nowhere. ;-) Sure, one could play differently: going slow and stealthy, solving Spy puzzles for the sake of it... but why doing it, when the missions are always the same, and you already did them a hundred times? WF is a bit like the "Groundhog Day" movie: stuck in a LOOP of a never-ending carnage :-D I don't have a solution. I come back every now and then, for a new weapon or frame, and because running around and killing aliens in WF is basically FUN... for a while. Then the sense of DEJA VU comes back again, and I ask myself: "Why am I doing this?". :-)
  2. LOL! Warframe is all about the grind :-) I've never seen another game that makes you obsessively play more to get more. Of course being F2P it makes sense. Besides, IMO Archon Shards are meant for advanced, long-time players. Those players usually have plenty of resources to spend. Maybe you rushed into WF (and it's fine if you did), and you feel a need to possess everything. But that's not the way WF was meant to be played. E.g. I've been playing for 3-4 years and I'm still MR 25 (and I have LOTS of resources). Take it easy. ;-) Lastly, you already know what a Shard does; you don't have to install it to experiment with it (unlike an ability, that you have to try first-hand to understand). Wanna more power? Red Shard. Wanna more shield? Blue Shard. So it's not like you have to try everything in advance.
  3. I'm suspecting "biblical" as well; because it can be used in a sexual sense. But it could also be "China"; since DE is (partially?) owned by a Chinese company, they may consider any China-related discussion "not kosher" (because, you know, the CCP is so open and welcoming about criticism... ;-).
  4. Isn't that the opposite of what Steel Path is supposed to be?!? Sounds like "I want to do the hardest part of WF, but I want doing it the easy way"... it doesn't make much sense to me. SP is for higher challenge. If you want easy life, why not doing the regular WF? :-)
  5. AFAIK, DE never makes the 4th ability subsumable, because it's usually the most powerful and would create a balance issue. Or maybe I'm misinformed :-)
  6. Agreed. When I began playing WF I kept going to the Wiki. After a while I began copying the most useful info into a text file I keep handy (faster than googling something). To date this file has grown to over 300.000 characters...! It's a whole book... and it's not everything! :-D IMHO DE aren't that lousy regarding explanations, I think it's intentional. Why, I don't know: maybe most players enjoy discovering stuff on their own. I know I had to read extensively to beat every boss (well, save for the Sergeant, of course!). Anyway, that's DE style. They just give some short hints. If you mean the "Destroy Hive" mission, it has a very short explanation (easy to miss): you have to destroy some "tumor nodes" (red-yellow thingies, usually 3) before you can destroy the hive. Sometimes they aren't easy to find, but they are within the red zone on the minimap
