  1. This update was worth the wait! I'm looking forward to scanning more things in the Laboratories :)

    ONOS
Albrecht's Void experiments revealed the true destructive potential of this wrist-mounted cannon. In Incarnon form, draw in ambient power to deal steadily increased damage to enemies. At full power, release a blast of Heat.

Definitely know what I'm naming that weapon at Fortuna:

    • Speaking of which; I love the new login music!

    Passive: Chronicler’s Mark
Noctua scans targets, recording information for your Codex. Status Chance increases by 50% on fully scanned targets

    Ability 1: Noctua
Wield the power of Dante's chronicles. Customize Noctua with Tome Mods that enhance Warframe Abilities and reward strategic combat. Primary attack releases pages that tear into lethal pieces on hits. Its alternate attack releases a wave with infinite Punch Through.

There are a couple of small questions regarding this though:

    • Can this work to scan enemies or objects in Duviri?
      • That said, is it one scan per enemy (Apart from a stealth scan), unlike the chance of a double scan with the synthesis scanner?

      • It would be nice if it could work on objects, if it currently doesn't considering that there isn't a gear wheel in Duviri.

    • For any enemies that are not in the codex yet (Such as Narmer Deacons in the Archon missions), will the status chance boost work on them as well? I finally finished scanning the Deacons after many hunts since they're green now, but I was just curious how that works.

    ARCHON SHARD EXPANSION: ASCENT FUSION

The process of Ascent Fusion allows for three Archon Shards of the same type to be fused together to create a single Tauforged Shard.

    Requirements

    • Helminth Archon Shard Segment: The Blueprint is earned for completing the Veilbreaker Quest.
    • 3 Archon Shards of the same type.
    • Helminth Coalescent Segment: The Blueprint is purchased from Bird3 in the Sanctum Anatomica.
      • If you already have the Helminth Coalescent Segment on your Helminth, both Coalescent AND Ascent Fusion are now available to you!
    • 100 Stela: Resource earned from Albrecht’s Laboratories.

    How to use Ascent Fusion

Step 1. After installing the Segment, interact with the Helminth chair and select the “Archon Shards” button.

Step 2. Select the new Ascent Fusion icon located on the right of the Archon Shard embed UI.
    9f754c22a21943e73c69a6347423e014.jpg

Step 3. Hover over one of the three slots on screen to select the Archon Shard type you’d like to fuse together. Once you’ve selected an Archon Shard, the rest of the slots will be automatically filled with the same type from your inventory (only types with 3 or more Shards will be selectable). The Tauforged Archon Shard fused from the base Shards will appear in the center.

Out of curiosity, for creating Tauforged Emerald, Violet and Topaz shards could it be possible to select two shards of one color, and two of a different color to somewhat save on shards since you'll need to fuse multiple Tauforged Azure, Crimson and Amber shards in the process?

    • If you're looking for two Tauforged Violet shards, you'll need three Crimson and Azure shards separately just to make one shard; But if you could just use two of each, then instead of having two Tauforged Violet shards, you can make three using six Crimson and Azure shards :)

    • Made some improvements to prevent freezing while loading into Dojos, Relays, Towns, and Conclave sessions.

I really hope this will reduce the occasional freezing that can occur after finishing a bounty in different HUB areas, such as returning to Cetus or the Chrysalith. On the bright side I haven't lost any mission progress since it only happened on the summary screen, but it still feels like a close call when it does freeze.

    • Fixed an issue where inbox messages coming from Quests and other places would end up having a timestamp of Jan 1st, 1970 and being impossible to mark as read or delete. Shoutout to the inbox messages that have been holding it down for 54 years.

Hm, this makes me wonder if you could get Inbox messages from Albrecht or Authur, etc. that are dated sometime in the year 1999 when the 1999 quest comes out :)

  2. I've been reading through the thread for the last several days in between breaks at work, and while I do think a tap / hold for Mirage's Eclipse is probably the simplest approach, I do want to mention some things I haven't seen anywhere in the thread yet;

    On 2024-01-26 at 9:15 AM, [DE]Juice said:
    • We can redesign the ability, so it works on the same general theme but functionally is different. For example, it could spawn beams of light nearby - standing in them provides the light boost, while standing out of them provides the shadow boost.
    • Suggestions! We are open to unique suggestions from Tenno on this as well!

I'm glad that the thread for feedback is here overall, since I usually haven't seen something like this in a long time on the forums! Maybe the forums can be utilized more in the future if another fix / change choice, etc. comes along for something important like this :)

Perhaps it goes without saying, but hypothetically in case there are any existing alternate ideas for Eclipse in the event it'll be reworked, it may be a good idea to keep those other ideas for future Frames and even the Helminth itself. Depending on what those abilities are, they could become rather interesting options for the Helminth if someone wanted to just replace Eclipse on their Mirage themselves; Effectively choosing their own Eclipse, so to speak.

    • Aside from Eclipse though, new abilities or ability augments from Son would be good too, in the future. I would've quoted a specific section of my old post, but it was from a couple of years ago so the thread was closed.
      • (The hypothetical augments are near the bottom of that post: Embolden, Infested Vigor, Hideous Acceptance, and Master's Protection; There's plenty of potential with augments for non-Frame abilities :) )

For Eclipse's animation, I think it would be useful if it could be an upper-body cast, so that you can still run around while activating it. In order to keep moving around myself, I usually bullet jump up a ways forward and cast her abilities mid-air nearly every time. It's a bit cumbersome, but I've adjusted to it. But the main thing I can suggest for Eclipse is more interactivity with her other abilities in some way, and a UI for her to see which version of eclipse would be available at a given moment, similar to other Frames with UI elements (Saryn, Nidus, etc.). Even if it wouldn't show the percentage, that and altering her abilities in some way would be really neat.

Thanks for hearing me out on it :)

Big fan of the just making it a Tap/Hold and adjust the balance for Helminth.

Alternatively a tap to activate the ability, hold to switch modes. Starting mode could be determined by Energy Color (warm/cold or bright/dark). And as a balancing option for Helminth remove the hold to switch mode. That way people who subsume it would have to commit to one type of buff (based on their energy color).

Also an Icon that shows you what buff you have would be nice addition for ppl with visual impairments / color blindness.

    Something along those lines:

    eGiQtS2.pngWnDwoPv.png

This looks great! I'd love to see how it could work with different energy color combinations :)

That's all I can think of for now, but hopefully after Eclipse is figured out, more can be done with the Helminth in the future too :)

  3. I was wondering, but would there be a way to have the relic pack be opened after checking the inbox from Varzia? Mainly to know which relics / Aya were in it, out of curiosity. Currently the relic pack doesn't show anything on it's own, so whatever is there is just added to the inventory without knowing what new things there were.

I recall that happening in the past with relic pack drops, but I think it could be a nice idea.

  4. There's a few questions on my mind that I haven't seen in the thread yet, so while there's still time I wanted to throw them in too:

    • Are there any plans for Voidshell Skins for Prime Warframes? This is one thing I've asked before, but mainly because it would open up even more customization for them :)

    • Speaking of customization, I thought it would be a great idea of Signas could be decoupled from the attachment section of the arsenal, so that you can color them independently of your armor or Syandana colors. If there's more plans for Signas in the future, could that be part of it too?
      • Along with that, it would be fantastic if Operators / Drifters could wear Signas as well, even more so if they had a Dex Signa at some point.

    • Aside from that, one other thing that comes to mind is this old thread of mine:
      • I thought of a lot more there, and some of it sounds simpler than others; Such as showing "Vaulted" items when cracking relics, and having different types of Ephemera at a time, etc.; Could any of these things be viable in a future update?

Thanks for hearing me out on all that, looking forward to the Devstream :)

  5. That sounds like a good idea; To be honest, I think it would be great to have Umbral versions of all the general mods, including Stretch, Redirection and possibly a couple of others I can't recall at the moment. That would benefit other Frames that don't have much Health or another stat, such as Hildryn.

Hopefully more come in the future :)

  6. I've occasionally still gotten an auto-Void Blast on the Zariman and even back during plague star (I kinda wish it was just a third operator ability across all schools, with one unique benefit from each maybe), but a Void blade of sorts would be neat.

That would open up some various Zamp(?) combinations, potentially. A standard sword, a gunblade that becomes some type of amp for an alt-fire, etc.; But that'd be good for thought.

As for missions, I'm not sure what unique types there could be off the top of my head, though. I'd love to see more variety with them regarding weapons, etc. :)

  7. Speaking of lighting, I also noticed several updates ago that there's a bit of darkness centered around your Frame and weapons when checking them in the arsenal (Possibly in relays too, not sure). I can upload an example of it after I'm off work, but it also makes it harder to see the edges of your appearance. I'm not sure if it's the same for all other platforms, or only on the Switch though.

    • It would be nice if you could zoom in on your weapons a little more to fine-tune colors like with Warframe, but that's food for thought.

Having some arsenal lighting / zoom options would be great, if that were to get a QOL update :)

Fixed the ability to place multiple Vigile Jahu Gargoyles in Clan Dojos.

    • These decorations have 0 capacity cost so as to not restrict Clans from placing them -- as a result, they are limited to 1 per Dojo with performance concerns (and your tolerance for a certain Cavia member’s sass) in mind.

Could there be a way to have the Jahu gargoyle be in the dojo's decorations after the event ends, even just this one, so that if a better-looking location for it comes up when decorating it can be moved around?

I've been waiting to really decorate the dojo until I've mastered a lot more things in Warframe (& finished all the pigments), so it's sort of a barebones place apart from the research being mostly done. Unfortunately  the Gargoyle's just in the dry dock off to one side, but I'd like to include the Gargoyle in future room decorations if I can :)

    SCORING AND FEEDING

Trophies earned are determined by whether your clan fully feeds your Vigile Jahu Gargoyle with Cursed Murmur Energy before each Weekly Reset (Monday at 0 UTC).

Terracotta is one full feed, Bronze is two full feeds, Silver is three full feeds, and Gold is four full feeds. One full charge depends on the size of your Clan. A full charge for a Ghost Clan is two of each Curse, with Shadow Clans needing six of each Curse, Storm will need ten, Mountain thirty and Moon at one hundred of each Curse.

The chart below annotates the total number of Curses required that are needed to feed your Gargoyle fully over the duration of the event.

    CLAN TIER

    GHOST

    SHADOW

    STORM

    MOUNTAIN

    MOON

    Terracotta

    6 (2x each Curse)

    18 (6x each Curse)

    30 (10x each Curse)

    90 (30x each Curse)

    300 (100x each Curse)

    Bronze

    12 (4x each Curse)

    36 (12x each Curse)

    60 (20x each Curse)

    180 (60x each Curse)

    600 (200x each Curse)

    Silver

    18 (6x each Curse)

    54 (18x each Curse)

    90 (30x each Curse)

    270 (90x each Curse)

    900 (300x each Curse)

    Gold

    24 (8x each Curse)

    72 (24x each Curse)

    120 (40x each Curse)

    360 (120x each Curse)

    1200 (400x each Curse)

I was just wondering, but if you manage to get it fully fed for the gold trophy, would you still receive the other trophies for the clan as well?

I managed to get all the trophies from Orphix Venom, so hopefully the same can happen with Gargoyle's Cry; More decorations is always good :)

Fixed mission failing in the first stage of the quest.

    • The quest would progress but players would see “Mission Failure” and not receive the items they had collected during the mission.

This still occurred to me a few minutes ago, after scanning everything I saw that was scannable and getting various resources, including Stela.

I just hope it didn't undo all those scans, considering that the quest isn't currently replayable. But it did technically proceed to further sections after waking the sleeper (Trying to reduce spoilers). For now It's too late here to continue it, but I'll get back to the quest tomorrow.

I wouldn't see the harm in just letting anyone buy them for Regal Aya. Prime Noggles are only given now when buying Prime Access. The Vault is gone, so the purchase is completely separate anyways. The Excalibur Prime noggle was simply a gesture to Founders when they introduced Prime Noggles. It was never "part" of the Founders package.

That makes sense. I'd love to buy a few to place in the Orbiter and Dojo, etc.

  12. A lot of others before me have mentioned it, but it would be great if those three permanent weekly acts were actually set aside from the existing weekly act spots; Not only for greater variety of things to do for Nightwave, but also so that you can get at least one rank's worth of standing per week as you catch up if you had to take a break from things for awhile.

It may start feeling very similar week after week of seeing the same three acts and only 1-2 new acts, or acts you just haven't gotten to do in a long time. But more significantly than that, what if the only acts you can recover happened to be locked ones, so they can't be done yet? I think it would be useful to have certain acts not show up for someone who hasn't gotten the means yet to do whichever act it is, maybe with a reroll option of some sort. Perhaps it can only be once per recovered-locked act, to be fair.

The permanent weekly called MISSION COMPLETE needs to display a counter

I've been thinking the same thing, especially considering how many that missions that is for one act.

Speaking of counters though, I think that the Antiquarian Elite Weekly act should instead have a small checklist (Similar to on-hover lists of items being greyed out in the Market or other vendors when you own them), instead of a #/4 counter; Mainly because it's not possible in the Nightwave screen to know which Relic eras you've already done if you needed to stop and come back to it.

Thanks for hearing me out on all that :)

  13. Regarding the Console defense stage, I was thinking it could have certain priority enemies that drop an item to add to the console. As an example, it could be like when you're rescuing hostages in the Orb Vallis bounties, and picking up the small data keys from Terra Jailers to reduce the objective's timer.

Considering that there are multiple ways to speed up the drone afterwards, that's the main thing I can think of to make the plague star bounties themselves better, aside from other kinds of Plague Zaw (Or even Kitgun?) parts, such as Plague Links.

Just some food for thought for next time, hopefully it helps :)

  14. There's some questions I still have from before, but I'll try to keep it brief :)

    • The biggest question I have regarding Whispers in the Walls, is the quest going to be replayable?
      • I'm not sure if the Duviri Paradox is yet or would be, but I think it would be good if more quests in the game were. Partly in case of any unique codex scans (New War, Sands of Inaros, etc.), but also to be able to experience the quests with different Frames every now and then.

    • Considering that new types of (Enemy?) Necramechs were shown at Tennolive, I do think it would be nice if Voidrig and Bonewidow could have their own Passives / Ability Augment mods, etc. (An old thread of mine from around Orphix Venom, but plenty of details), eventually. If nothing else I do think it's good for brainstorming more ideas for Necramechs.

    • It would still be neat to see Voidshell skins made for Prime Warframes in the future too, be it from Baro Ki'Teer or Varzia's wares. Maybe Necramechs would be eligible too when the time comes.

    • Are there any more plans for more Signas at some point? Those are another interesting idea for customization; Maybe there could be a Prisma one from Baro Ki'Teer as well for a certain amount of Ducats, as one idea.
      • Maybe a Dex Signa for the Operator / Drifter someday?

Off the top of my head, those are all the main things that come to mind this time, so thanks for hearing me out on it. I'm looking forward to the next Devstream & Gargoyle's Cry too.

  15. Earlier this month my Fiancée and I sent her Switch Lite to a friend of mine to take it apart and replace the joysticks (She's been having a lot of Anti-drift, where both sticks hardly move left or right), but it sounds like we may not get it back before Nights of Naberus ends, unfortunately. When I checked Daughter's wares in the Necralisk, I noticed there wasn't any option to simply gift those items to someone even though I had enough tokens to do so; I thought that would be the next-best thing since my Fiancée can't really do anything to get those items herself, as some are untradeable too.

If not this time around, would it be possible to add an option to gift items like that to other players on your friend list (Not pertaining to the market) if you have enough currency to do it?

  16. I haven't had a chance to try Dagath yet, but I was thinking that one option could be to give a Hold-to-cast to her 4th ability to summon a Spectral Kaithe (She could jump on the middle one as the others show up). I do need to read up on her abilities more to be fair (I've had to work a lot this week so I didn't have much time), but perhaps if she were on a Kaithe it could add some other effects of some kind to her abilities as well, to give people a reason to use that option.

Just some food for thought :)

  17. There's a couple of small things I noticed that weren't mentioned in the main post or the Devstream, so I hope it'll be considered for the rework as well:

    • Regarding Sentinels, whenever you crouch down behind cover if you don't want an enemy to see you, the Sentinel still stays airborne where it was as if you were still standing. I think it would make a bit more sense if the sentinel went down next to you whenever you crouch in place to avoid enemy fire or being spotted; I've had it get spotted plenty of times when I took a more stealthy approach while ranking things up, though it's not a significant problem to be fair. It's a small change, but I do think it would be a nice one overall.

    • This is probably more of a Part 2-thing with the rework, but as some others have mentioned I think having a Command screen or something for Companions would be great as well; Veso and Kahl's way of marking an area is a good aspect of it, so perhaps that combined with marking specific targets would create a bit of extra strategy for each mission, depending on what companion you bring.

      • Marking an ally or a stationary defense target could have them stay within a certain range of it, either drawing enemy fire or attacking as they do normally.
      • Marking an enemy would make them chase after it and attack it if the enemy stays still (Maybe they can have a chance to evade enemy fire during the chase?).
      • If there's nothing in an area, maybe that can tell them to stay there, just like during the Veilbreaker missions.

        • But depending on which companion it is, maybe you can have them use one ability on-command as long as no enemies are close, but to be fair maybe not Charm; Something basic like opening lockers (So that you don't have to wait several seconds per locker) or anything that doesn't enhance your weapon damage. But being able to order your companion to defend themselves instead (Such as Adarza's Reflect) would actually be good too, similar to how Exilus mods aren't usually about increasing damage, but rather focusing on utility or usability. As long as it's not commanding them to enhance your weapons, I don't think that should be a bad thing at all.

    • Something else to consider for Part 2 with the Companion rework is the Plexus system; That would allow you to have separate spaces to place damage / Survivability mods and your companion's unique ability mods; That would be a good way to increase mod space, and allow for more planning with your builds. Otherwise giving them 10-12 mod slots similar to what Necramechs have is the only other way I can think of to fit in some of the new mods with existing builds that people have.

      • I'm curious about the Duplex Bond mod though; Will the clones each have their own abilities while they stay around, such as multiple Cat's Eye buffs at once, or multiples of your Hounds (If Robotic companions are eligible) using their own abilities simultaneously be possible? I'm looking forward to giving it a try!

For now that's all that comes to mind, so thanks for hearing me out on it :)

  18. A fair bit late to throw in my questions, but hopefully it'll be food for thought!

    1. The first thing that comes to mind are Voidshell skins; My fiancee and I watched the art Panel's stream, and I noticed there wasn't much of a mention about them.
      • Would Prime Warframes be able to get their own Voidshell skins too in the future, either via Prime accessories, Baro Ki'teer or Varzia, etc.? Excalibur Umbra would be missing one too, I just realized.
    2. The next-biggest question I can think of is in regards to Albrecht's Grimoire; Is it going to be a Primary or Secondary weapon? If it's the former, it'll be really hard choosing between Nataruk or being able to cast a Void-Fireball.
      • On that note, would it be possible to have a belt-holster for that new weapon type? I couldn't help but think of Black Clover when I saw the Book :)
    3. Speaking of books, I was able to pre-order the art book, and I was wondering if there could ever be a Warframe Cookbook too? I'm sure there's tons of recipes that would fit well in it, including whatever Konzu has for early lunch.

Looking forward to when the art book ships in the future, and the Devstream!
