Na plenty of my people don´t use steam. They´re all having the same problem. Either the DDoS is still going on or our accounts are marked as DDoS source, caught in the crossfire, a false positive, just because you try to get to baro for dem mods. ^

so i got flagged because i checked on the trader and she didnt? because we are obviously sharing the same IP when we log in, being roommates.

i asked a clanmate of mine and he has the exact same situation with his (steam connected) and his brother's account (not steam connected) - and fun fact, he didn't check on baro at all, due to work.

  2. The issue seems to be with Steam connected accounts.

I can't log in since yesterday (over 16 hours now) on my account, while my roommate, who doesn't have her account linked to a steam account, can log in just fine, even tend to her extractors. We tested this on the same machine, even. It doesn't matter if the game was started through steam or not.

Tested: my account (linked to my steam) on my installation (launched through steam) - fails to log in, but pulls my audio settings from the file.

her account on my installation - logs in just fine.

my account on her installation (stand alone game) - fails to log in, and again pulls my audio settings.

her account on her installation - logs in just fine.

  3. hi, DE

i wanted that misa. i wouldnt mind the plat.

i already have everything else (and dont care for the avatar icons much).

do you really expect me to buy a second frost, latron and reaper? what's the point of that? i cant even sell them on trade chat, since they come pre-crafted.

did you really think the way into my wallet would be so easy?

    no, i dont think so.

why isnt there an option that you get an additional plat worth for stuff you already have? or that you can uncheck those things to get additional plat in such deals? maybe that'd be something to consider for future deals.

too bad, really. i'm all for supporting you guys for a work well done, but you're saving me 54€ here, i guess. the misa and that little bit of plat is nice, but not worth that pricetag.

and i'd say there are many more tenno in the same situation. after all, the prime things were available via trade chat the whole time, and those that would have shelled out now, surely already did so there.

    ---

plus, please let me see planet extractor health again (and sort them by type and health again too, like before), and please give us an option to scale the transmission video size down a notch again. i'm not playing this on a tv across the room but on a monitor right in front of me, after all.

  4. not sure for how long - but the extractors don't show their damage value anymore when you select them for deployment. on top of that, they aren't sorted by their damage value anymore either, so i just had to deploy and prematurely recollect 4 of them to find one that was at 100% for one planet!

i hope you guys fix that fast, it is highly annoying.

  5. impressive, i've been wanting this max framerate for years (and not pay out of my butt for an nvidia card)!

the vulklok fix sounds like a good one, too!

    finisher speed up, loving it!

    and burst fire fix? sweet!

AI pathing issue? does that mean you fixed seimeni when the pod is at the non-default position before a host migration? nice!

wait, wait, wo are you guys and what did you do with the real DE devs.

  6. wow, nice crit buffs on the vulklok. and you can mitigate the firerate nerf almost completely with vile acceleration (normal speed trigger does it, too, just not quite as much)

sure, does less base damage, but that crit chance, wow, nice.

so, where is the nerf again - unless that accuracy thing is the true issue here.

    gotta test drive it now.

edit: oh, there is the nerf. it doesnt hit S#&$ anymore. cool.

thanks for wasting ten forma. i had faith in you, DE. guess that is generally misplaced and one would be stupid to be anything but extremely suspicious of anything you do.

just for clarification - i'm not angry, i'm disappointed. not that this thing isn't OP anymore. it was obvious that it needed a toning down.

but then you go at it and quite literally break it's gun-holding arms, good work. seriously, good work.

guess i'll go back being a casual again and slap carrier on again, huh?

  7. >The Mastery Sigil that was given out via Inbox message has been added to the Market for 1 Credit!

that's great for those who missed it - props, DE!

and for survival? well, good to see you aren't trying to force that change on us, esp for the solo players. 20 minutes should always be achievable by a competent player, regardless of team size and whether a nekros is present or not. being too dependent on RNG and spawn logics is just frustrating in the end.

if you ask me, rule of thumb for balancing should be: nekros not required. during 17.2.4 he was.

maybe you should even make desecrate not drop additional air, just so balancing it out would be easier for you guys. not 100% sure on that, though.

  8. nice armor, now give me a reason to actually use kubrows :D

(make them command-able - specially to not attack when i dont want them to - i rather have a kubrow command wheel than gestures, tbh - you can even make a fun system out of it, as in, we have to train our kubrows to listen to those commands in a few missions or a specific quest)

oh and btw? dont give dogs AND cats to the grineer. you're missing the huge opportunity that cats fit so much better with the corpus, and the big dog vs cat divide between them (also, corpus needs some love in terms of dev time anyway)

  9. i guess it worked before and it's not just exceeding some weird gpu / driver combination's abilities.

if just frame and gear textures are missing, do this:

verify the game files from the launcher options (not steam).

if its just a texture issue, do a SMART test on your hdd, it might be failing soon. a safety copy of precious files is in order regardless.

if you had hardcrashes recently, that might have busted a file or driver - time to reinstall those if the issue is persistent. update gpu drivers just to be sure.

if this happened after you updated gpu drivers though, try using a previous driver that worked. xp isnt really supported anymore, so all sorts of weird things might happen.

if it still happens after that, do memtest for your RAM and find a comparable program for your G-RAM, either might be dying. though a hint towards that would be various and more random failings.

  10. compared to the rest, the research cost is way too high. period. that's a fact.

    -

there is no point in arguing that some people abused the fact that DE was too naive to not cap enemy levels in the natah quest survival part.

there is no point in arguing that some people are running only hydroids and nekroses all day, exploiting short-sighted game mechanics or just playing the game as they see it fit, within the rules and boundaries that DE gave them.

the issue is, that this doesn't apply to every player, though.

punishing everyone just because some go haywire and then brag about their useless amounts of excess resources, that's not the cleverest way to go at gamedesign.

why do people farm? so they have a buffer and don't have to churn hours towards a single goal once the goal presented itself in all its shiny new glory. or just to have something to do. however, there are tons of people that dont farm, because it's stupid and boring and tiring and burning you out sooner or later. or they have a social life, or a career to go after.

    -

what this is is a test whether the majority of players would accept a new balance heavily tilted towards plat purchases, that now otherwise would require serious grind - all the while punishing smaller or more social / casual clans.

and i guess this is supposed to not be the only mastery fodder with ridiculous grind attached to it.

thus, i am seriously not looking forward of having to spend a week exclusively working on some stupid mastery fodder's research from now on, just because DE figured out what resource people have the least of. and i am pretty sure it takes very little effort to read stuff like that out of the account files.

    -

i do get that DE needs to make sure they get enough budget together each month for the bills and to appease their new chicken overlords - but there are other ways to go at it, than ruining the only thing that differs warframe from all the other f2p games out there - that constantly present loaded gun on your temple concerning your personal fun and whether you wanna pay up or rather spend your week doing something repetitive instead of enjoying yourself - in a video game.

no, i dont consider farming for ten-thousands of cryotic to be fun. no, i dont want to waste the rare moments our clan gets together doing stuff to enjoy ourselves into mindless grinding for one single resource. trying to come up with reasons why we should go into the void (to get ducat fodder) is bad enough already. we're friends. not some group of asocial try-hards that kick you out because you aren't MR20 yet.

i for my part decided not to research this, and if DE never fixes the cost, then well, it will just be another boar. technical obtainable mastery fodder, but at a cost i'm simply not willing to pay.

    -

thanks for the effort of not informing us, though, DE_Glen. i understand that it goes with the plan, and you don't tell your test group that this isn't a bug for once, but you noticed the confusing that this caused, right?

here's hope your little experiment goes well and you guys reconsider that the inherent fun of the majority of your playerbase is a bit more important than pushing a minimal fraction that were on the fence into buying something with plat that they otherwise wouldnt have spent plat on, then of course not spending plat on stuff that they otherwise would have, like a new set of syandana - because that's the thing. someone who doesn't have much plat isn't suddenly going "welp, time to actually put more money into this game now", they're just going to drop it. someone who's willing to give you money, already gives you money because you deliver a (mostly) great experience.

i mean, i enjoy spending my plat on cool looking cosmetics. make more of those. you'll see, a fancy thing to buy is better than holding someone's time and efforts hostage. try it with rewards, not with punishments and essential hostage holding - just a suggestion.

a grumpy player that feels bothered and threatened is not a player who would happily give you money.

  11. so the research cost for the knux are here to stay?

    are you serious?

baiting on a few more people just buying them with plat, i see.

well, carry on then. not going to craft them, nor am i going to buy them either.

  12. just to break your bubble, OP. outside of the 1 second off time between waves or at the start or finish of a mission, i never see the other frames close enough to appreciate either. and those seconds you also have in archwing, capping a point together, for example.

  13. > The Elytron`s Thumper will now combine with previous Thumpers if it detonates within its radius.  This will refresh the duration on the previous Thumper and allow damage to stack up to 4 times.

    a performance fix? nice!

i've seen quite a few people just plain out crashing during wave 4 on caelus. my unsophisticated guess on that is either heavy thumper usage or the accumulation of items over time. maybe this will fix that.

  14. Hi!

If this had been discussed already, I didn't find that thread after a brief forum search. In that case, I apologize.

    -

Now - I've been waiting for a little while, ever since Simaris was added to the game, but so far, I don't see anyone even catching that issue:

The Simaris Scanner's "Scans Taken" counter resets / goes back and forth as soon as you let go of RMB.

This happens ever since Simaris was introduced.

If you continuously scan holding RMB, the counter goes up as it should. Once for normal scans, twice for when the double-tap update for the scanner kicks in.

As soon as you let go of RMB, the next scan either lets the counter stay on the number, or go backwards once or several times.

Now, you can even quick-melee in between, or use a frame power, but you can't run - running apparently triggers the problem even when holding RMB all the time, I think.

I've seen the counter change by 0 up to -5 so far (while paying actual attention) when it should have gone +1 or +2.

Scans using just the LMB alone have the same problem.

In this state, that counter is pretty useless, so please have a look into it.

    -

Alternatively, I'd much rather have a counter that counts Simaris rep there.

I know that we can't have 'remaining daily cap' because you decided that a Mission abort of failure would not give us any rep either, including scans (even tho scan charges technically cost credits).

So, It could either show how much rep the player accumulated during the run so far, or show how much rep cap is still left under the premise that the mission is finished properly.

I'd love those things, or even just an option for that - let it be yet another module. The scanner has so much potential with them, just give us the option please.

    -

Though, just fixing the scans taken counter would be really good already, so...

    Thank you for your time.

  15. Boltor Prime NEEDS to be at a higher mastery lock(probably 6 or 8, if not 10), it's killing game progression for most players to just ask "what's the best weapon" get the answer, and just buy that off the market, it can be argued that "it's their game experience, they can do what they want", but even so, this seriously needs to change.

    Thank you for your time.

it's their game experience and their responsibility. why does that even bother you.

  16. Hi. If this is already existing and getting discussed, I apologize. The same goes for when this is in the wrong sub-forum.

    -

Now, before anyone goes "oh so you just suck, git gud so people dont abandon you because you must be clearly at fault here", listen up.

This last second trolling needs to stop. It is rude, disruptive and harmful behavior to the whole team, if one player just packs up and leaves without notice, leaving the others in a potentially hopeless situation.

If you have to leave, decide in the first 5 seconds of the timer, no the last 2.

I doubt that DE benefits from disgruntled players who just lost a potential half to full hour of effort, maybe some revives even, and even if one or another just buys new revives, the majority wont, and for them, this might just have been the last straw that breaks their interest in Warframe and especially it's community for good.

Not that I personally can't carry myself through another round. That isn't even the problem here. Sure, it's annoying to have to battle on with one or two dolts less, but usually you barely notice the difference for obvious reasons.

The issue is that this may force a host migration, if the chicken was Player 1. We all know that host migrations can go awfully wrong, and I personally decide to just leave with the host whenever they have the courtesy to decide that in time.

From rewards shifting a wave (having the C reward at 5 or 6 instead of 4), or enemy AI bugging out (looking at you, Ceres map when the Defence pod isn't in the default position before migration), all players getting booted back to the Liset, or - and I bet DE doesn't want that to happen at all: no more enemies spawning, so you get as many round rewards as you care to wait out on... The list of host migration hick-up results is seemingly endless.

The Reward choice screen is NOT there to punish players you don't like. Respect other people's time, just like you want yours to be respected. If you don't like a team, leave and announce that properly at the very least with your timely choice to extract yourself from the mission. There is no reason to be a clown about it, and whatever they did or said during the previous round doesn't justify you bending the whole team over. Maybe it is just one bad apple, and the other two are clueless or faithful or simply on a laggy connection, so that even hovering your mouse cursor over the 'leave' button doesn't save them anymore.

    -

So, since we can't expect people to be well-behaved anymore in this day and age, there has to be systems for this issue to enforce some more considerate behavior.

Like the "AFK" system, I'd propose following system:

    - As soon as all players decide for one side (either extract or battle on), everyone gets locked in, the countdown ends ,and the mission either finishes or goes straight to the next round. No more pointless waiting on that.

    - This would also let us save someone that is currently bleeding out just behind that mission reward screen - however, I'd rather see it that bleed-out timers are paused during the reward selection screen, for Kubrow and Tenno alike, just to be fair.

    - At 10 seconds to go, everyone undecided gets automatically flipped to 'Battle on' (this is already the case anyway, so it's just a visual clarification thing, not an actual change).

    - If a player changes their mind within the last 5 seconds, the countdown gets reset back to to 5 seconds, to give the others a moment to react (5 seconds, because I've seen laggy jumpy timers going 3 seconds apart from host, as in, the rewards screen pushed us into the next wave when there was still 3 seconds on my screen to go).

    - This countdown reset to 5 seconds can happen 5 times, then the player who switched and reset it is locked in on their choice. This of course needs to be communicated. As mentioned above, this system's purpose is to NOT bend a player over against their will. (the "Anti Farming maKro" system could be more openly communicating its punishments as well, btw)

    - If the team is undecided or split, then the countdown trickles down from 15 to 0 as it already does currently. No real change there.

I was originally to suggest that a player that leaves within the last 2 seconds of a countdown, after having had their selection on 'Battle on', forfeits their mission rewards, experience and of course the mission node unlock - but under the above system this wouldn't be needed anymore - and I don't think that outright punishment, albeit effective, is the right way to go at it.

    -

I hope that we can see something like this in the near future, for a more enjoyable gaming experience.

    Thank you for your time.

  17. Hi. First, if this thread or problem discussion already exists, I apologize. Same for if this is in the wrong subforum.

Now, I go out of my way to not host, because my upload bandwidth is meh. I know that, so I spare everyone of stuttering missions.

That being said, I had a host migration earlier today while doing Caelus on Uranus, otherwise known as 'WTF one-shot me?!"

Now, this made me host, and suddenly, the stupid jumping enemies aren't there, which is such a bliss, especially since most archwing weapons have travel time to their projectiles (something you might want to rethink, DE) - but I also noticed that enemies that are about to hijack a capture point have a tether between it and themselves, showing the host player exactly where they are.

I don't think this is actually a netcode issue, because that isn't anything that needs its info sent out to the clients, but clients don't get that tether. That tether seems incredibly useful for finding out quickly where the damn enemy with the red bubble around it is.

Would be cool if you could check into that and possibly add it soon - you know, after all, the majority of Tenno are on the client side of things, especially in interception missions. Would be weird of just 25% of the team has that little helping hint.

    Thank you for your time.

  18. a game about throwing numbers at each other is never difficult or easy, because you can stack the odds prior to the situation. all you need to know what the situation is - or you generally over-power yourself and render the whole situation easy.

want a nerf to power or weapon xyz? the fact that there are 20+ frames and 200+ weapons and just 4 in a team (not concerning myself with raid here) is nerf enough.

    -

in the core, warframe is a gambling game. your skill and stats dont as much matter as your luck does. all you need to be is there when RNG falls, be it the end of a mission, a kill, or a certain moment in a survival or such. nothing you do can impact your luck besides just simply trying another diceroll at it.

you invest time into millions of dicerolls and work with what you get out of it. mod collection, prime stuff, general gear.

the game or rather your experience with it is a stone you chisel your own statue out of, not a test of reflexes and wits (which you most likely got from some youtube video anyway, so that is a waste of time to develop for in this day and age - i mean, how many of you went to hunt down kurias on your own, without guidance? exactly, thought as much).

if you are looking for a perfectly designed, challenging game, you're looking at the wrong place here. go get into bayonetta or dark souls instead.

  19. it was meh before, its pure garbage now. one of the most expensive pieces of mastery fodder currently. great work, whoever decided that.

how about some archwing mods like, hush / silencer, and some more ammo management mods, besides a mildly larger pool? not that i'd ever put a catalyst in that junk, but hey, would be nice to have an option.

  20. was the idea of making the Grattler near useless? i mean, fix its range and give it a at least 100 rounds mag. or make it "reload" faster. less delay or faster charge.

as it is, it is very annoying to use. most expensive mastery fodder yet, and, i wonder, almost as annoying as the fluctus to use with its crippling limitations.

  21. First, if this isn't in the right sub-forum, or a re-post, I apologize. A quick global search didn't show me anything worth bumping, so I'm making my own thread here.

    -

So, I had a lengthily discussion recently with some clan-mates about Prime Accessories.

The gist of it is this: It is sad and frustrating that you can miss out on something if you weren't around, or didn't have money at that time.

The second issue is: Once you had them once, you have no need for the boosters anymore. You likely reached MR18-19 with the first one. Especially now, if you run daily raids, you get more than enough half-hour boosters for your leveling purposes, and credits really aren't a problem at all.

    -

    Now my suggestion:

Give us choice for the accessories set: Like, keep the price at 45 € / 50 $ for 4 items, or maybe 25 € / 30 $ for 2 items - or even 80 € / 90 $ for 8 pieces, for those that want to catch up.

Then have a selection of 2-4 brand-new items per quarter, followed by most if not all older items that showed up, plus maybe 4 different 90 day booster variants.

I bet you, more people would shell out for that, because to some, 45/50 bucks is a steep pill to swallow, while the pain threshold is not as apparent with a 2 item deal.

Like this, DE also doesn't miss out on potential all-time buyers if they ever do re-runs on the older stuff.

    -

    Why?

I personally had been thinking for almost 90 days to pick up the golden ribs recently, and decided against them in the end.

What kept me from it? Well, I have the really cool Targis Prime armor, for once, but the main reason was that I really don't need the boosters and consider them waste of money.

However, I would pick up several older accessories in a heart-beat. Like, the butterfly wings Syandana, for example. Or the one before Prime Accessories was a thing.

The models for those items are there, so that isn't any issue.

They aren't trade-able, so that is untapped spending potential and thus loss of income for DE.

I doubt that it matters to DE what people buy, as long as they have more incentive to buy these things. Like, I doubt DE cares if I have wasted boosters, or some stat-less bling, as long as they get funded through it, right?

In fact, I'd even say that DE has more benefit from people not having boosters, because they play longer, and instead carry fancy accessories through more games while going for their daily goals - which in return would prompt more other players to possibly want and buy them..

    -

On a side-note, if the above suggestion doesn't pan out?

DE might at least want to think about making the Prime Extractors actual drops (in parts) in the void. Or achievable in another way, as a prize or something like that - because once I told some clan-mates that I pretty much didn't farm for Neural Sensors for about a year now and still get my daily forma crafted, they were blown away - and I bet you, some of them might want to purchase these things again.

    Thank you for your time.
