  1. So, anyone notice how the blast radius mods (Firestorm and Fulmination) are the only weapon (not Warframe) range mods left that use a percentage value? Melee was swapped to flat value a while back, Volatile Return adds a flat value, even the beam radius mods are a flat addon (barring Galvanized Accel, though I chalk that up to saving on coding resources between normal and beam shotguns). Well, I think Firestorm and Fulmination would be a lot better if they worked the same way as the other range mods do. +1.5 meters for their base counterparts, and +3 meters for their primed. It would the mods a lot more viable on a bunch of other weapons. Take the Afentis for example; Right now, Primed Firestorm only raises it from 3 to 4.32, whereas the Kuva Zarr goes from 7 to 10.08. If you made it a flat +3, however? Then Afentis rises to 6 meters, while Kuva Zarr is a flat 10 (only losing out on on 0.08 meters). So the Zarr remains largely untouched, while the Afentis becomes a lot more capable of using that explosion damage without enemies walking out of range. Even the Kuva Bramma only loses out on 0.65 meters in range! It barely affects the larger explosions current range, while making it more effective for the smaller ones. It just makes the most sense to me to make it work that way, rather than have it stand out the way it does.
  2. I understand why IPS mods can't work like elementals (Then Hunter Munitions would be overthrown, plus Slash becomes way stronger with yet another multiplier), but common IPS mods really have no reason to ever exist. +Zoom mods are almost only ever good for specific riven challenges (also, I would kill for a -zoom counterpart, snipers would be so much better for it). The magazine and reload mods outside of Shotguns are hard-pressed to compete with the commonly-used mods 9thanks to their values being half of what shotguns get), and then you have the "-Insert miniscule bonus here- on inconvenient/tedious condition" mods. Twitch, Proton Jet, Catalyzer Link, ect. These give pitiful bonuses compared to our commonly used mods, yet need a conditional trigger (and an often short time limit). Imagine Proton Jet gave you 120% crit and status chance for 45 seconds after killing an enemy during a wall-latch? It would still be tedious, yeah, but now it can compete with something like Critical Delay. Wildfire could also offer 90% fire damage, and 30% magazine capacity. Yeah it would be outclassing Hellfire then, but Hellfire is also one of those mods that is in the running for a Prime variant, so it always has the potential to become relevant again. Not to mention that Wildfire is a nightmare mod, so I do think it is fair for it to be stronger than a common mod. If not though, then at least change the magazine capacity into something like critical chance instead. 60% fire damage and 80% crit chance?
  3. So, hear me out... You know how we can favorite colors for quick access? Why can't we have that for mods? A separate "favorites" mod tab, so we can put all the mods we actually use in their own category. Would make switching out mods a little less tedious, especially as you get further in the game and find your mod list stuffed full of dupes and niche options. Just switch to that tab/section, and slap in your desired mods. The alternative is setting your own "default" for a specific weapon category, but I think that would just encourage cookie cutter builds even more than they are now. What do you think?
  4. For me, it's just immediately killing a larvaling on sight, then deciding to leave it alone until I have enough spare forma to master the weapon.
  5. I also refuse to believe a frame able to take on an archon, along with a weapon built specifically for it (seeing as archons use the same mechanics as liches) could be at any risk in a lich raid
  6. I can't even imagine how a lich could steal an archon shard, there is no way our tenno aren't holding that in their back pocket the entire ride home
  7. Caliban just needs 5 changes before I consider him as part of my regular frame rotation: 1. Let his passive stack (multiplicatively) with adaption. In a world where Voruna gets cheat death/Status immunity, Sevagoth gets immortality, and Nidus gets healthgating, letting Caliban have x2 the effective health he has now can't be that game breaking. Heck, Baruuk already gets a 50% damage reduction just through his restrain, and that's on top of giving you Desolate Hands access! Realistically, being the New War frame that is also a proper sentient hybrid, he should get a full unique adaption effect that stacks (multiplicatively) with the mod of the same name. He's a milestone frame, let him shine! 2. Summon all his sentient buddies in one cast, at least at max ability rank (Also, let him have an augment to convert them into Battalysts, or any kind of ranged sentient for that matter. Scaling damage would also be appreciated, but I take ranged pals that actually do something other than passive shield regen in 80% of the game's content as priority). 3. Let him pick up energy orbs in his spin2win ability, he already has far less range than Revenant and a higher expense. Also, would be nice if casting his armor strip in the spin2win made it act as an armor-strip AOE around Gyre, theoretically setting up a combo of razor+strip+stomp, that could lead to some proper blending (even if Rev can do it easier with roar+4). 4. Make the casting for his armor strip faster, at least 50-75% faster. 5. Make his walking animation a float. He is a sentient, don't pull another Titania and wait for the prime before letting them float like they are supposed to.
  8. I know, but I think it's safe to admit that change was small enough that it might as well not have happened. At best, it was a pity system change for anyone who may not be able to get on exactly every 24 hours on the dot
  9. It may be futile, but a tenno can hope- 🥺
  10. This is a simple one, change how long forma takes to craft. As our arsenals grow and frames like Sevagoth exist (three separate mod pools), the current rate of forma crafting just isn't enough. And unless you wanna start running plague star twice a year, there are two very easy solutions to choose from. 1. Reduce the forma build time to between 4-12 hours build time, though I would much prefer 1 hour. But having the option to check in at least twice a day for your forma building would be nice. 2. Allow us to spend either ducats or multiple forma BPs on a forma bp bundle, and make it evergreen. Imagine Baro comes around and has nothing you really want or can use, so you could instead spend those ducats on a x3, x5, or x10 forma bp, increasing in ducat price per the forma multiplier. Or imagine you have something like 15 forma bps after farming a new prime, but you don't want to spend the next 15 days building them. So instead, you convert those 15 bps into a x10 blueprint. You lose out on 33% of the potential formas, but you get a much bigger haul a lot sooner (so that new prime is able to get kitted out as soon as they're fresh out the foundry). Please, someone has to agree with me on this, I can't be the only one with a crippling build addiction in this game!
  11. Would be nicer if there was a bundle without anything bloating the price, whether it's value is good or not. 90 bucks is 90 bucks. A 4090 has way more value than a 4070, doesn't mean everyone can afford the 4090.
  12. Who would've thought that this topic about predatory monetization would lead to us looking at how much we've spent on the game and sharing it with others. Great job DE, you've managed to get us to successfully look at our investment and reconsider how much we put into your game. Instead of making a simple cosmetic bundle and getting a cool 20-25 bucks from the majority of the players, you instead have everyone and their grandma blasting you for predatory schemes and rethinking their investment in your game as a whole.
  13. Not sure. My account was technically created in 2016, but that was on a crappy HP monitor-computer hybrid for school. That thing struggled with youtube at times, so it wasn't until 1-2 years later I started playing on Xbox. Then I got a gaming laptop and moved back to that old Warframe account, and I have no clue when that was exactly, maybe 2019?
  14. So, I also found out you can see how much you've spent on Steam in total, and decided to see just how much of my funds went towards Warframe. I am so, so disappointed in myself right now... At what point does one accept sunk cost fallacy and just dip out? Because I think I'm well past that line.
  15. To further add onto that, if there were a $20-$25 option, just the cosmetics? I would buy it in a heartbeat, I'd have those halos on every single frame in my arsenal by day's end, and I'd be flaunting them like nobody's business. But not for 90, I just don't want to spend that much, even with the added plat. It would be a fair value, but I don't want to spend that much.
  16. Bright side, I now see why I took such offense to this predatory heirloom nonsense. I spent this much on warframe as it is, do I really have to spend any more for a pair of cosmetics I really want??
  17. So, upon seeing you can check how much you've spent, I hesitantly checked my own to see how much I've shilled out to DE... I may have to take a moment and really look at myself after this.
  18. The best outcome (one I have some hope will happen, because the last supporter pack did it) is the cosmetics are added to the market for plat purchase. I wait for a 50-75% discount, get 2-4k plat, and just add them to my usual "shopping list." Because for me, this is how I stay engaged with Warframe. Once I reach a point where I have to grind out forma, I take it as a sign to take a break and wait for a discount, so I don't get burnt out and can just jump right back into refining my builds (which is where my enjoyment comes from). Plus it means my returns are paired with getting a bunch of cosmetics I've always wanted, so I'm more excited to play than ever. I got a 50% discount when I logged back in for Tennocon, knew about the new deluxes, so I figured it meant I'd be buying a bit of plat and getting some deluxes with my forma purchase. Instead, I am faced with either throwing away the money I would otherwise save for the upcoming RE4R and/or Elden Ring DLCs. Normally I'd pick the games over the skins, but I can't do that. Why? Because 1. These skins go away forever by the end of the year; And 2. They are including brand new (universal, mind you) attachment types we've never had before. Will we ever get more that can be bought with plat? Maybe, maybe not. But that just makes it even worse, since now you're also gambling on if you're gonna miss out on a type of cosmetic you can never get another of. So when you see someone with it, you're gonna feel disappointed/bitter that you're not able to replicate their look. And this is bad for the people who did buy it too, since then they're gonna get flak from the part of the community that couldn't/wouldn't get it. This entire thing is just negatives all around, no matter how you spin it. Yeah some buyers can say the cope makes them happy, but even if they're being honest? There will still be people who caved in for the fomo tactics, got it, and now are at risk of getting blasted, all because they fell prey to a tactic designed to target people like them. Whether they add a cheaper bundle most people can (and are willing to) afford, or remove the time limit and just leave an overpriced bundle, either way it leaves it so that the people who really want to get the items can't, by no fault of their own. Point I'm trying to make, is people want to support DE, we don't want it to be free handouts. We just want everyone to be able to support them to the extent they can afford to. Everyone should be able to get these cosmetics, but as it stands now? Only the few who both can afford it, and are willing to, get access to them. There's no reason to leave it like that, it just breeds negativity between both sides. Warframe was awarded for best community, is it really worth throwing that away over $90-$70 bucks (depending on your currency and/or region)?
  19. I can't even imagine what the marketers were thinking when they made this, what exactly were they expecting with that kind of tagline?
  20. https://imgur.io/a/eEXHvhK Okay, you can’t even defend this. This is just blatantly fomo, actively pressuring you into getting it before it’s gone. How is anybody able to call it anything but predatory after this?
  21. Here's the thing, those permanent additions are 1. Farmable in-game; And 2. will rotate back around eventually. These skins, and a brand new cosmetic useable with every frame, that we have never had before? They made it clear these aren't coming back.
  22. My one issue with this is that these skins, and brand new attachment types, are time limited. These kinds of things should not be limited like that, in my opinion. Sigils and emotes are one thing, but skins and attachments we've never even had before? Those should be available at all times as an addition to the game, especially when realistically? These sticking around is just better value for DE and players alike. Imagine down the line a new player chooses mag as their starter, then they see this bundle when they go to get some plat for slots and reactors/catalysts. Same for when new players get Frost for the first time, or if/when Frost gets a rework. Or even just letting someone save up for longer if they have something else they have/want to get (especially as all these new games are coming out), and won't be able to spare the cash by the end of the year. I just don't think these should go away after the year is done, they can even keep the price as-is and just let everyone save up for it at their own pace. I will probably end up getting it anyways by October, but that means I will probably have to skip out on giving Baldur's gate a whirl. Why? Baldur's Gate is gonna be on Steam long after 2023, this bundle won't. And in my view? I should not have to drop getting a new game just because I don't want to miss out on the wonder of a brand new attachment category. Just remove the time limit, let people always have the option to pick these up when they are in a comfortable place to do it. Why throw away the work that went into making them just because not everyone can drop that kind of money for an extended period of time? And this isn't even like the time-limited exclusive weapon skins, because those are just that, weapon skins. Not unique skins for warframes and a brand new attachment type. But I doubt they're going to change the time limit, at most they might add more plat/regal aya to make the prices easier to swallow. Just gonna be harder to convince any of my friends to try out the game with me, only for them to see the halo and skin, ask how to get them, then hear how disappointed they are when they find out how it is long gone and never coming back. That's gonna choke the fun right out of them as they see something they can't get, without the understanding that the Founders Pack at least had.
  23. That said, I would love if they went full souls-melee as Duviri has been gravitating towards, just with better button layouts and controls instead of what they have now. Make charged melees actually have you press and hold the melee to charge it. Then make the typical melee button a light attack, while the fire button gets made into a heavy attack in-between light and charged attacks. If melee was given souls depth, I'd happily throw on some dexterity arcanes!
