  1. I can, but it takes a "significant" distance for the change to be noticeable since I'm just eyeballing it. At ~70m the riven alone takes ~4 seconds for the projectile to hit an enemy, the riven plus unranked Terminal Velocity takes maybe a half second less. Which works out to a minimum of roughly 17.5m/s. Now, looking at the stug video, either the minimum has been changed, or the minimum is actually a maximum negative. It's possible that the effect of the riven is actually capped at something like -80%. Again, I was just eyeballing the time, so I'm assuming my numbers are a bit off. Plus, what kind of a minimum would -82.5% be anyway? That's just weird.
  2. My -101% projectile speed riven for the Dera did not make the projectiles go backwards, or even just hover in place. The game is forever ruined. DE, please fix.
  3. I think the only time I do any kind of elemental matching is with things like eidolons or lephantis. Basically activities where you really only care about doing damage to a single target. Everything else is so inconsistent it's easier to just brute force the matter.
  4. My first thought seeing this topic: "Lighting and shadows. It's always lighting and shadows. Sometimes reflections, but dynamic lighting and shadows are always massive performance hogs." Glad to see I was correct.
  5. Backflipping to turn off Volt's speed. As a bonus, if you're playing Titania in pixie mode, you don't need to aim first, just move backwards and tap crouch. Also as a bonus, if they're being particularly obnoxious and you keep hitting walls and going into a tumble, holding activation on Titania's spellbind will give you temporary status immunity, which includes tumbling from impact. Though there still should be a global opt out of Volt's speed. Personally I'm typically faster without it than they are with it because I hit fewer things when going my normal speed.
  6. To each their own, I just found it amusing. I'm personally not a huge fan of Railjack, but I'm certainly not in the "Railjack sucks" camp either. On average I'm probably more positive than negative on it. There are definitely things that could be improved even to this day. Like gunners shouldn't shoot at Corpus crewships (or crewships in general) since all it does is cause them to re-orient their shield and make hitting them with the artillery harder than it should be.
  7. I just find it particularly amusing that the defense of an activity is "Yes, but have you seen the shiny visuals?" rather than any of the interactive parts of the activity itself.
  8. Honestly the idea of extractors taking damage has never made sense. One, a fully repaired extractor can't be destroyed when sent out (could they ever?). Two, repairing extractors doesn't require any input, just time. Plus, nothing stops you from having two or more sets of extractors to cycle between. Three, they always finish in a fixed amount of time, meaning that there's no risk/reward consideration for leaving an extractor out "too long" so it can potentially gather more. Maybe if extractors could actually be destroyed, and pulling them out early didn't void all their findings it might make sense. But with the way things are right now it seems pointless.
  9. Kdrive good while necramech bad? The ****? Necramech's got its flaws, sure, but it's usable for actually meaningful gameplay stuff. Not as much as some would hope (still not available in regular missions bar a few), but where it is usable, it's decent. Kdrive is just useless and barely functional all around.
  10. Necramechs have very few animations that they share with warframes. Which was the whole point of the post: warframe animations and how those animations are scaled to the world.
  11. We get enough relics from everywhere else that staying for 25 minutes just for one doesn't really seem like a meaningful incentive. Especially when you consider that it may not even be a relic they care about. If I want relics, it's probably going to be from disruption since we can bang those out super fast and repeatedly get rotation B or C round after round.
  12. It was an example about how it has nothing to do with the data types, and everything to do with how they're manipulated. Yes, archon shards should work the same way. Do they? I hope so. Ultimately only those doing the back end know for sure.
  13. It has absolutely nothing to do with that. Suppose that you start crafting an item. This internally will be a multi step process. As few as two steps (deducting the materials from your account and then starting the craft) but still multi step. The naive way to do this is to simply deduct the materials from the account, and then start the crafting timer. However, what happens if during those two operations there is an issue, and the system goes down? Well, the materials are gone. Just, poof. Gone, and nothing to be done about it because as far as the system knows you never had those materials. That's not very good, and is a very real risk of non-atomic operations. What should happen is first the system prepares the list of things it's going to do, and the initial state of things. Then as it works through the process, checks off each step. Should the process be interrupted for some reason, it can look at the list and then either revert the steps it had already completed, or pickup where it left off. Thus, the operation "start crafting" is either completed in full, or not at all. There is no inbetween.
  14. An atomic transaction is one that cannot be done partially. It is either completed in full, or rolled back to the original state in the event of a failure.
  15. It works the same in groups as it does solo. Each person has their own chance, and they're all independent. So one person can get tauforged while the other gets normal.
  16. Mesa is pretty good too. I generally actually hit the kill limit instead of the time limit. Though you will get magnetic for your element. Not really a problem if that's what you want or are just looking for fodder. The issue with the sister not spawning is (as I understand) an issue of either starting the hand too close to extraction, or getting too close after finishing. Also it's just bad luck not getting any hands. Nothin you can do about it.
  17. Seriously. I just found out recently that built necramech parts are tradable. You know, in contrast to basically everything else requiring that you trade blueprints instead.
  18. Your first mistake is thinking that mastery rank means anything. It doesn't. Your second mistake is thinking that hours played means anything. It doesn't.
  19. *Cue a dozen replies saying that it's entirely your fault and the system is flawless.* Nah, I agree. Relic missions especially need better protection about handling putting people into in progress missions. I wouldn't suggest outright stopping it since it's a regular thing to end up being the host, and nobody joins until after you start. But I would suggest things like late comers being started with at least as much reactant as one of the existing players.
  20. It's pretty strange that they decided to go with the open world reaction times for enemies when open world effectively never has stealth. I guess on the other hand they didn't want to use the standard reaction times since in normal missions the enemies are practically blind half the time. So it's a tale of two extremes. Either they can see forever, or they can't see squat.
  21. Sanctum is also a lot more open compared to some areas. Both my friend and I completely missed the teleport ball the first few times we did bounties, and still didn't feel it was much of a bother.
  22. Fair enough. I assumed that you couldn't trade the built pieces since everything else in the game that involves blueprints requires that you trade the blueprint. But I guess for whatever reason DE decided that necramech parts should be an exception.
  23. It's understandable why certain things can't be deleted, like Umbra, his sword, the Grimore, or other similar things. Those are story related things. But converted liches and sisters? They're a dime a dozen. They absolutely should be deletable somehow. Fine that they can't be traded repeatedly if DE wants to keep the "limited" nature of their ephemera, but we should be able to delete them.
  24. Well for one thing, the Chinese version of Warframe is a completely different game. So these changes mean nothing to us (directly).
  25. I'm apparently mistaken on this. My bad. You can't trade built things. You need to trade for the damaged necramech parts, and then whoever needs them needs to build the final components themselves. You also can't trade the blueprints in this case.
