Cetus bounties - Protecting the drone too boring
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Shepherd_the_Ram's topic in General Discussion
I always find it funny that the person can be extracted after running about 50 meters, but the drone always has to go like 500+ before it can be extracted. Also isn't it Loki that's best for speeding it up? I wouldn't have thought Volt's speed or Nova's wormholes would work on it. Especially since you'd have to be able to reliably get the drone to go into the wormhole in the first place. Loki just repeatedly switch teleports it ahead. -
An important issue concerning GILLYCHAP
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Yulfan's topic in General Discussion
Ok, fine. I stand corrected. It's just that all I ever saw was comments to the effect that running anything except smeeta or vulpa phyla was a complete waste of time, and I wouldn't have thought that sentinels being able to self revive was going to be that much of a game changer.- 24 replies

An important issue concerning GILLYCHAP
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Yulfan's topic in General Discussion
I thought the general consensus was that sentinels were the absolute worst of the worst companions, and only the most terrible of players used them for anything. At least that's the general vibe I got whenever they came up.- 24 replies

Duet Night Abyss game... Its very noticeable right?
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Fuyn's topic in Off Topic
I get the sentiment, but good luck. You'd have to take them on in China, and China almost always sides with their own companies on these matters. They've copied cars from the likes of BMW, and when challenged on the matter the courts basically went "We don't know what you're talking about. The two look nothing alike." -
It's time to break the 3 Weapons limitation
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to crazywolfpusher's topic in General Discussion
Maybe if missions contained more internal variety and we didn't get sent back home between every mission, but as it stands, there's no point. The reason something like GTA has a weapon wheel and lets you carry around 20 different guns is because you may go hours between visits to a location where you can rearrange your loadout, and in that time you could very well encounter situations where you actually need all those different weapons because having only 3 would leave massive holes in your combat capabilities. That's not the case in Warframe. Unless you go out of your way to bring a trash selection for a given mission, you're fine. You only need those 3 weapons, and then when you're done you go back to your orbiter to change up for the next mission if needed.- 116 replies

Tying loot to world cycles is just annoying. It's annoying for fish. It's annoying for bounties. It's annoying for earth plant scans. It's just annoying.

If the idea is to give a reward that people will keep coming back for, clamps would be a terrible replacement. Not only are they already available just as easily elsewhere, there's a fixed limit to how many a single player needs. So even if someone wants everything that you need clamps for, you need only 1460. Just like with the incarnons, once a player has all that they want, they're done. And that happens on a fixed cycle. Rivens on the other hand, by nature of them being random is much easier to keep the player coming back. Yes, a player could get what they want on their first try, but they probably won't. So they'll come back. Again, and again, and again, until they finally get what they want.

I think pity systems only really work well with binary outcomes. Either you got object A (which is the only item) this attempt, or you didn't. In the case of cycling a riven, not only are there many options, they're picked in groups of 2 to 4. Just what conditions should the pity system be based on? Does this value increase your pity? Decrease it? What does pity affect? It's not like Tauforged where you either got a Tauforged, or you didn't, and Tauforged is objectively better in every single way. So of course every time you don't get one the odds of getting one next time go up.

Suggestion for ease of access
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to (XBOX)MidlifeGamerAce's topic in General Discussion
My first thought is that this just sounds like a round about way of trying to be able to farm companion rivens. -
Trouble with trying to let the extractor die is that if the nukers are really nuking that well, the excavator is in absolutely no danger. Especially if people keep feeding it. It only takes 4 power cells to fully charge one, so it's not like they're not going to get fully charged either. Enough power cells can drop that you can't just steal them all. Personally I maintain that reactant should just be done away with, and the primary objective alone should crack the relic. Oh sure, people will go on and on about this somehow encouraging AFK, but it's not like people can't largely AFK the current system. Load in, do nothing, as soon as enough reactant is available just go collect it and contribute nothing to the actual mission anyway. At least it would do away with people intentionally trying to kill things too quickly, or joining late because of matchmaking and not being able to collect enough anyway. Not to mention it solves the issues of Defense missions simply not spawning enough corrupted enemies at all, or spy missions where either you have to go everywhere as a group or have to do a ton of backtracking to figure out where vault A was because apparently the game spawned most of the reactant there while you went to C.

Revert Arcane Helmet Disabling Warframe Arcane Slot
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to RacerDelux's topic in General Discussion
You make it sound like there was a time when you could have 3 arcanes installed, which as far as I can tell is not the case. The change you reference happened at the exact time they removed arcanes from helmets and syandanas in general. At no point were you ever allowed more than two arcanes. They simply made the generic arcanes that could be equipped on any frame easier to manage by decoupling them from helmets and syandanas. The oldest arcanes, the arcane helmets, hadn't even been available for 4 years at that point, and the only reason they were left in at all was to not invalidate the work put into getting them. 2-2014: Arcane helmets removed from rewards pools. 5-2015: Arcane enhancements added to the game. These are bound to helmets or syandanas. 3-2018: All arcanes added to helmets and syandanas are distilled and returned to the player as they can no longer be installed there. Instead they are installed directly to the warframe. Legacy helmets are unaffected, and equipping one disables the second slot. -

Archon Hunts Midcore player experience (Rant)
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Julican's topic in General Discussion
Seriously, who's idea was it to give them an action that just instantly regenerates like 90% of the damage you've done with absolutely no way to stop it? The idea with the damage attenuation seems to have been to get people to stop killing the bosses in an instant, and instead only encouraged it more while narrowing the field of options to almost nothing. -
regarding getting auto melee-ing
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to nghoomoine4's topic in General Discussion
I can't imagine auto melee being a concern regarding afk. Anyone who tries to afk with automelee will invariably end up in a corner, or just getting shot by all the ranged enemies that are happy to stay out of melee range. This isn't like Wukong's twin which can actively seek out targets, or nuking abilities that can hit at significant ranges. In fact, if automelee were an issue with afk, it's likely we'd already see it because as already stated, setting up a macro to just mindlessly spam melee has been doable for years, yet nobody does it. -

(PSN)Lollybomb replied to nghoomoine4's topic in General Discussion
I don't suffer from any conditions that prohibit me from rapidly tapping a single button, but I would still appreciate this. They already did it with the "mash X to perform task" in other parts of the game. I wouldn't mind seeing this an an option for semi-automatic guns either. It's not like we don't mash the shoot button as fast as we can anyway. -
Is the kubrow slot machine going away for pet update?
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Surbusken's topic in General Discussion
Especially ever since they got rid of the stupid "only one egg in your inventory at a time" thing you don't even have to wait until one is finished before getting the next egg. I've probably got dozens of eggs if I ever wanted to try for a specific dog. -
Not sure what those weapons have to do with anything. Every time a weapon gets primed any resources that went into their original form will be "wasted" if you decide to switch to the primed version of it. Not sure what your problem is with the Zylok since nothing is different with it than literally any other item that got primed later down the line.

Removal of Flawed Mods and MK1 Weapons
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to Khold90's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't be surprised if nothing replaces them. Mastering your first three weapons, plus your warframe nets you 15000 mastery, which is sufficient to put you up to rank 2. That gets you access to 9 primaries, 10 secondaries, 17 melees. Not including login rewards, nightwave rewards, farming bosses, or the melees from Duviri. -
Soulframe - Tennocon 2023 Discussion
(PSN)Lollybomb replied to PublikDomain's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, I'll wait until someone does a summary of any Warframe content. Once I get my drop, I'm going to get dinner. -
You're just proposing to bring back Solar Rails, but with railjack. Splitting it up by clan tier is unlikely to help anything. The core problem is that there are too many clans to implement a system where a fixed number of groups (4 tiers times the number of nodes) get all the payout for winning, and everyone else gets nothing. You're either the best of the best in your group, or you might as well not bother. So, for roughly 99% of the playerbase, they might as well not bother. Doesn't seem like a system that's worth diverting development time towards. Also the idea of trying to compete for general nodes across the starchart is terrible. The Lich system is opt in. You've agreed to that tax. Just being forced to give up some of your mission rewards just because some bigger clan did something entirely unrelated? Terrible idea.
