After years of playing I've yet to feel locked into buying anything outside of a couple of the prime pack cosmetics I wanted, and most of the things that came close have been changed over time to be easier.
-
Devs have said they plan on balancing out crit and status, as well as giving status some kind of equivalent to the newer crit mods.
It'll be interesting to see what they come up with since just giving status similar mods would mean it comes out on top because of the utility it can provide,

Yeah, this is straight up bullS#&$. I don't have covert lethality on my PC account, so I get gypped out of a reactor. .-.
If only there was a way you could communicate with other players both ingame and out of game to find teammates through.

Weapons are already too powerful for most of the content, we don't need them to be even stronger right now.
As for forma doing something different, I think we should wait a while now that the new void fissure system is out. It makes both getting and avoiding forma as rewards a lot easier than before.

I really wish there were other ways to get potatoes... these alerts are often nightmarish and unforgiving.

I tried it 12 times by now, even asked for help, but help was denied, because I was too much of a "noob" regarding my gear.
So this is just meant for people who already have the resources? What's the logic behind that?
Not every alert is meant to be done by players of every experience level. Some of them have mechanics that need gear people have gotten over time, the same as some of the sorties. However players that don't have the gear setup to kill enemies in this one can still activate life support for those who can.
Sorry about recruiting chat giving you a hard time, I'm heading to sleep but the alert is on for a couple days so if you don't find anyone tonight toss me a PM and I'll give you an easy run tomorrow if you like.

It's a joke, it's doable, and it's not required of you to do every alert. If you don't know how read some of the existing threads about it or ask for help in recruitment.
The easiest way is to have an Equinox with covert lethality, but any CL setup can do it pretty simply as long as one other person is activating the life support.
You guys are funny, all you guys say is "Use this or that frame with this or that mod using this or that weapon", but what about those who simply don't have that? I'm 2 weeks here, maxed my second frame, a Rhino, and nothing I do helps winning this.
Get a party together with someone who can kill the enemies while you activate the life support for them. Combined you'll complete the mission. It's an alert meant for people with access to the tools for it but you can help out even if you don't.
Happy recruiting.

Aside from the merch each-line-has-three-lines thing, the entire event was pretty great for how cheap the basic ticket was.
The plat from entry was almost the same value as the ticket itself, the doors opened on time, the food wasn't terrible, BEER, the whole room was kept nice and cool so we didn't all have to deal with room-full-of-people stank and all the panels had enough time that they didn't feel rushed and had time to answer a bunch of questions. The big thing for me was seeing the staff there working on everything. Everyone was willing to talk to the attendees, help us out with any problems or questions, do signings for us even if we missed their sitdowns and overall gave off the feeling that they wanted to be there just like us.
It's rare for a lot of gamers to get to meet the teams behind the games they play, and most of the larger game-specific conventions are more about being a gathering for the players than about connecting with the people behind the game and high-profile community members.
Thanks to everyone who attended, players and staff alike. You made it a great experience.
See you next year!

I ran a pub with an Equinox CL setup and just had the rest of my team grab the life support spawns while I soloed all the non-osprey enemies w/ Rest. Had 100% of the damage and we finished with a few % left and made it to the exit with plenty of time to spare.
You only need one person that can kill the enemies.

He seems to have been doing what he thinks is right the whole time.
Could he be protecting the queens? Are they not what we thought they were?
Did he really survive past the sentients through an unholy alliance?

Maybe now I won't be able to make 2000 plat in an hour.

Before anyone wants to defend the people that chose to physically attend; They already get T-shirts exclusive to the con.
Standard ticket purchases don't include physical swag. Only the collector's tickets or higher (that sold out a week ago) get the t-shirt, and the standard tickets don't include the syandana either, only the sigil.
-
It's a cosmetic piece that gives zero ingame advantage to the people with it and is a fun thing for people attending.
It's not like there aren't plenty of event-based ingame cosmetics for people who play but can't attend physical events.
Please just let it be.

Stop trying to make him one.

Had that before with the old system.
Horribly inconvenient and messed with what people thought the correct direction to move was.

The info changes are nice but unless I've got it fullscreened on my main monitor, the layout REALLY sucks for me T_T

.....git gud.
Sorry, but if anything survivals need to be HARDER.There's a ton of ways to circumvent most of the major problems players face in survival.
I do agree that it needs a bit of a rework though, not because of difficulty and scaling but because the mechanics are a bit clunky now that we can run them for hours at a time.
-
Casual player here I had a ton of fun in the event. People saying the executioners are damage sponged need to 1. Learn to do actual damage 2. Learn to check when an enemy has their temp invuln visual on.
The Kela fight had a couple fun mechanics that you had to time and work together for, and the executioners were a fun-but-short thing and once you have an EV Trinity they become super easy.
-
A rathuum-style mode would be nice to replace the third portion of sorties each rotation. You get to do two sortie missions and then fight the elites of each faction!
Though the difficulty on the executioners needs to be evened out a bit. Two of them are strong, the rest are just fodder.
-
Aside from the drones the only other issue I had with this was that it encouraged a lack of frame variety.
Was still really fun though, and the Kela fight was fun once I used my eyes.
-
Had a decent time using the Tigris. though every now and then I'd miss a shot and have to wait on it to circle around again.
I'd advise no super-short range firearms though.

I don't remember if it had the timed tag before but it doesn't now.
You're correct in thinking that it wasn't part of the noggle pack.
