  1. ...But do they attack Makamou and Douji with Musical Instruments...?

*cough*...sorry, Locusts, Oni, first thought was Kamen Rider. Been on a Hibiki kick lately, against all odds. Also looks like a really good Kuuga-style (Grongi) enemy, what with the slimmer, more humanoid profile, as opposed to most of the recent Kamen Rider monsters which have been more of the bulky, intricate, add-more-polystyrene variety.

This is not the time or place for one of my "Why Kuuga is so Great" rants. I'll spare you - and my dignity - that much.

  2. Not entirely sure what's happening here, but my best guess is that when I used my last Argon Crystal, the Countdown property got bopped to the next item down.

No idea if this means that that Boar Prime Barrel is going to go poof - if it does, I'll document it - but I figured it'd be best to post this here, so you folks know. Heck, that's what this section is for, right?

  3. ...Disregarding the first responder, OP makes some good points.

However, I have been given to understand that there are Upkeep costs for the Rails, so it may be necessary for there to be SOME taxes involved, or else the rail can't stay up.

I was frankly shocked that these were even being included in U13, since I didn't feel that there was a clear enough purpose or goal in regards to justifying their existence. I would caution, however, that it is still Early Days yet, so there will likely be a LOT more added for these.

I am optimistic, however. Granted, the additional XP and Resources seems a little underwhelming, but if the mobs there have customized drop tables with all kinds of nice goodies, such as rare mods, I'm all for it.

  4. I THINK he's referring to the part of the Soundtrack (ie-Music) where there's a

    TIK...TIK..TIK.TIK TIKATIKATIKATIK

...which you generally hear in, say, a medieval-era setting japanese film. Generally caused by clacking sticks together, though I suppose it could be done with drums as well. There's an actual TERM for that, but i can't for the life of me remember what it is.

  5. It's funny- I haven't supported Grineer in the invasions, yet I've fought Harvy no less then 4 times. Only got one Detron BP drop from him, no components. Every time I've fought him, I've been in a Vs. Corpus mission, and most of those have been in a Nightmare mission, and on all but 1 I have been Banshee.

Now, I believe DE when they say you have to "Support Grineer" to make Harvy spawn, but that might be as simple as killing Corpus, Invasion be damned.

    Just posting my personal experiences.

EDIT: To clarify, I haven't seen Harvy since just before 11.6, so things may have changed. I have also done some of the Grineer-Sponsored Infestation Culls.

  6. Well, this is convenient.

My current clan has been in an unending rough patch of late, and I need excuses to play the game. Also very interested in playing with fellow Vets, ideally in a small, focused Clan.

One question, though: do you have Teamspeak, Ventrilo, or the like? That makes Clan communication MUCH easier!

Am a GrandMaster, of course- gimme a holler if you have room.

  7. For the past couple weeks I've been in the same position. Ambulas just patently refuses to drop anything reliably. Just yesterday he FINALLY dropped the Systems for me.

Best advice I can give is to play in a group as that may-or-may-not improve/change the drop rates. Granted, it's on Pluto where no-one seems to go, so good luck.

  8. Iv been farming ambulas today, And out of 8 runs i havent seen a single Bp drop, Its kinda disheartening and annoying :/

I feel your pain. Vanilla Excalibur is the only 'Frame I'm missing, and Ambulas just patently refuses to drop Blueprints. I wouldn't even mind if he just kept dropping the Chassis/Helm, since at least I could sell those and feel like, I dunno, progress had been made. After about 2-ish weeks of on-and-off farming, I've only just recently gotten both the Helm and Chassis.

  9. If memory serves, Ether Daggers do slashing damage, whereas Fangs do... stabbing damage/anti-armor damage, I guess. The practical upshot of this is that Ether Daggers are FAR more effective against Infested enemies compared to the Fangs; conversely, the Fangs are far more effective against the Grineer.

Bear in mind, I could be wrong about this, as I haven't used either weapon in quite a while, favoring a Ranged-Weapon approach.

  10. This is my best recorded time:

I've managed to do considerably faster, clocking in at 38.49, but of COURSE it didn't get recorded and OF COURSE I can't seem to get it again. Ah, well, if I can do it once, I can do it again.

I can also get MUCH faster if I skip significant sections, but after reading the thread and how people were questioning the legitimacy of times earned using these methods, I submitted a "Legit" video.

Y'know, a lot of these "exploits" could be fixed with one big inner wall for the course. Admittedly that sort of makes the methods of traversal more rigid and boring though.

Yeah, it would solve pretty much all of them, but hey, maybe we'd be able to wall-run thereby skipping sections anyway. Though there are already non-wallrunnable walls in the game anyway, so it shouldn't be an issue. Still, I think it's more fun having a more open course.

  11. The only thing that the Fury Mod changes in regards to ANY melee attack is the Weapon's SWING ANIMATION SPEED.

The practical upshot of this is that your melee weapon, regardless of type or attack type (Charged vs. Non-Charged) used will have a faster swing animation. This means that Fury paired with Reflex Coil will make you able to put more Charge Attacks out there into enemies torsos/legs/faces/what-have-yous. This is commonly regarded as a GOOD THING.

In regards to helpful suggestions for mods to swap out, if anything, I'd get rid of Pressure Point, since as far as I know it doesn't affect charge attacks in the slightest, whereas the various Elemental mods will still apply their stun effects (staggering around, slowed down, etc.).

And really, Charge attacks seem to be the way to go with melee, with a possible exception for certain daggers with exceptionally high attack speed (Fang, for instance). Even then, Charge Attacks are frequently the way to go.

  12. This... This is very helpful.

Granted, stealth is pretty borked in general at the moment and will be undergoing some major overhauls at some point, but this alleviates the present difficulty somewhat.

You should be commended for your efforts, someone sticky this.

Also, love the art style. Very much in the overall... zeitgeist? of Warframe's style.

    Thanks again!
