  1. I had a slightly similar story with Broken War. I used mine to build War. Struggled to get its BP again. Got pretty much everything else, multiple times, including War BP's. I had already mastered and quite liked Broken War, but after I sold it, I got a really good Riven for it. Plus just generally liked it. Did eventually drop after a few years, and then once it did, I got about 4 within the same year, and still regular get it as well as the rest. The game also keeps giving me Red Tau shards, despite having a slight preference for Blue, because the builds i generally run. That always amuses me, given generally many people would prefer that arrangement. Desire sensor strikes again.
  2. Well I assume you just really really like the Ceramic Dagger too, hence your decision. Personally, I almost had Stropha perma-stuck to my loadout for a few years. I was initially going to say character, but I actually changed Warframes more than my melee slot for the longest time. I still think the Stropha has my highest percentage time equipped out of any other item, save for categories that are really small Archwings etc) That being said, a few melee changes here and there, encouraged me to branch out and experiment more. I am really enjoying a few Incarnon weapons with the Tennokai system, especially the Nami Solo, which Heavy allows movement, and works great with range too, (may nor be necessarily though), and now I am interesting in testing out various melees Heavy's, because I actually forget a lot of them. Oh and certain melee like Pennant feel great now, because its passive was that it got a speed increase based off combo, and whilst I dislike the stance, I enjoy the Heavy attack, and that thing turns blazing fast when its passive activates, but you don't lose combo now either... so with the Tennokai where you heavy a lot, great. Plus, the stance isn't that annoying when its speed is ramped up greatly as well. That being said, again, sometimes we all go through phrases where we are simply enjoying one weapon or combo way too much to care about testing and experimenting. Very valid play style.
  3. I am probably wrong, but I personally remember them being more of an end of the year thing, less a Christmas thing. Again though, its not something I was super invested in (I mean, they are cute, but i mean the timing specifically). So again, if others remember it being earlier then...
  4. Like most things, the most basic reason is if you want to, and or, enjoy it. Many weapons light attacks, light combos, I just enjoy the feel of, so would want to naturally use them anyway. One might also enjoy the timing and challenge element of hitting an attack within a window period. Then additionally, depending what Tennokai Mod you use, there are other benefits to it, like increased damage, status, so on. I am enjoying the range one quite a bit. That being said, obviously, if you enjoy not using it more, thats totally fair and makes sense. Wanting to/noting wanting to, are good enough reasons.
  5. Another thing worth considering in conversations like this, is that often without frames of reference, our establishing points of reference, a lot of our criticisms or praise can be a bit meaningless. Even the greatest story agreed upon by many can be criticised and, or downplayed, and the weakest, poorest stories can be placed in a context which be viewed positively. A lot of us will describe or make a certain assertion, that something is good, bad, jumbled, poor, convoluted, innovative, but what may we also use as positive, negative and comparable examples? There is a certain game studio that has a creator thats fairly well known, and their games are story and plot focused, but... I find the writing and story direction atrocious. Not that I don't find some of the characters endearing and interesting, (though I would argue thats more to do by the efforts of the voice actors), or the story ideas having potential... I just find the writer/director themselves, way too derivative, unoriginal, cliche, all to the point of seeming like they just copy from other mediums to succeed in a medium they don't really care for... To an audience that may not know better. Even funnier, a lot of the source materials that they borrow from, they don't even seem to actually understand, so they often co-opt other peoples themes, ideas, and then produce blandness, soulless imitations... The games themselves are fairly popular though, and I can also see why... I could list many positives as well. Thing is, some of my favourite games, are also from a creator and writer who is very similar in some ways... Just they tend to wear their inspirations ob their sleeve, acknowledge their references, homages, and they tend to give them a weird, individual quirk, so they seem to put more of themselves into their work. For me, thats enough of a difference to enjoy their work, but to some, both could be considered hacks. Generally I am pretty positive with most media I consume, even if I am good at being critical. I do tend to like video game plots that seem to try to draw on the strength of the medium creatively, as opposed to games that seem like have plots to make them seem more like movies (though there can be exceptions too, depending on the genre, twists, meta elements). Even when I ask myself what games I consider have good plot, and bad plot, my intuitive response is to think that it depends. Does Shadow of the Colossus have a good plot? Depends, its very simple and minimal, but it very much compliments the story, and I consider the story simple, but great. The story in turn, is as much about the atmosphere, the pacing, the sense of isolation, the setting, the lack of... I like a lot of certain Final Fantasy games too, which... some of their plots and stories are... There is a lot of it. In this sense, personally, I also tend to criticise bad writing and badly conceived characters, and their influence or role in a plot. Since there are so many things that can elevate plot even if its potential lacking in certain areas (some which may be intended). Some of my favourite stories have basic plots, convoluted plots, etc A side effect of all this too, is that peoples tastes and preferences differ. Its why people often prefer to have select reviewers that they know have similar tastes, than just taking the word of random reviewers. Its fine to have different peoples, and preferences, but if the movie reviewer considers Mad Max Fury Road bad and basic, and Grown Ups 2, a great and witty enjoyable experience, I probably won't really share much perspective with them.
  6. Styanax makes it really chill experience. I had bad luck getting Qorvex, but he is out of the Foundry today. I think I'll probably use him for a few tries. I imagine like most things in Warframe, the content can be done with any Warframe, its more a matter of finding what people find a chill and fun combo. Some Warframes will require your attention and effort more. Only other thing I might add because its amusing, and maybe hopefully DE will add it back in, but they did actually temporary have it so we could do Steel Path version of the Netracell. Enemies were much much tougher to scaling, but and especially solo players, the enemy density was much greater too. It was unintended though, so they removed it sometime last week. Good luck for next week.
  7. Nice work! I had bad luck the first week, but then got both of the new Legendary Melee Arcane's last week, and two Archons as well (but I forgot the colours). Still need to do this week.
  8. Ah sort of. Thing about Platinum, and earning it from other players, is that, at some point, someone brought that Platinum. Usually people therefore will tend to pass on that Platinum, because of certain particular reasons. Like, getting stuff they find hard to get, don't want to grind for, or involve an element of luck, and they are lacking that specific luck. Which in turn means there are a few ways to make Platinum. You can grind the parts of the game that people do not like? This is something you can control... but if its a way to make Plat? Well hopefully you will find something you personally enjoy... otherwise it will be tough. Additionally you can also get lucky too, say with rare items that a lot of people want. You can't really control this, but playing the game more will increase your chances. I'll give you an example of the first. There are certain Arcanes you can usually only get from Eidolons. So if you just farm Eidolons over and over and over, eventually you'll get these Arcanes, and you can sell them for a lot of Platinum. Disclaimer though... there is currently an Operation, Gargoyles Cry that makes these Arcanes more accessible, and there was recently a new Arcane Dissolution system that makes Arcanes easier to get... so the Arcane market AFAIK is a bit unstable right now. Traditionally though... Arcane Energise was a good way to make some Plat. Even potentially selling individual parts to the sorts of players that sell sets, if you were a bit lazy and had spares. Basically though, is. a lot of players don't like doing the amount of Eidolons required. Same with Kuva Lich /Sister Ephemera. Its just an odds game. People might do them for their favourite weapons, but at certain points, they won't care anymore. Some people will do 40 Liches without getting the Ephemera they want. If you get it, you can make Plat, by selling to those types of people. RNG is involved here a little, just not the same way as what I will describe later. Its just really a matter of time here and your willpower. Stuff from Railjack is a bit similar. Oh and running Corrupted Vaults and selling Corrupted Mods is decent. The second? Stuff that requires more RNG but could potential be more lucrative. Like if you unveil a really good Riven for a really popular weapon. Some people can get a bit silly with Rivens, and be willing to pay a lot, for a really good roll, for their favourite weapons. A bit similar, but your luck with Relics as well. Though, if you do things like Rad Shares that can be good. So to sort of summarise. Arcane Energise (though its prices have been hit recently. Farming Prime sets via Relics, but patience is, a big advantage too. Like selling vaulted Prime sets will earn you more than whatever is unvaulted or just generally available. You have Corrupted Mods. Oh, grinding whatever is the newest Prime Warframe and selling them on day one is also quite good. New stuff is also quite popular, there are two new Legendary Melee Arcanes that are quite popular, hard to get and thus people are willing to pay Plat for. The other thing though, is making Platinum also becomes a lot easier, the more you play the game, and the longer you have played. Like selling Rivens gets a lot easier when you have 180 Riven Slots. Selling vaulted Prime sets, gets easier when you have been around so long you have "cheap sets" that get expensive because time passes. Arcanes are easier to sell when you can do a 6x3 Tridolon, etc. Try not ti burn out either. Platinum doesn't really have a point if you start to hate the game or resent it and quit. Good luck though too!
  9. It doesn't really bother me personally, because optimal in a game like Warframe, to me is quite subjective. So you are dealing with different players perspectives, preferences and ideas about what the game is, and should be, or could be, and then the different thresholds players hold, when it comes to the direction the game goes to in that regard. The way I play and enjoy the game, I do get a general enjoyment just from the gameplay itself. Certain weapons, certain Warframe abilities, learning synergies, experimenting etc... and yet, i can't deny that whenever I know I will be laying for long periods, especially with new content, I do like to have Boosters running. Especially Resource Boosters. Why? If I enjoy the gameplay as it is? Sure, but people are generally more complicated than that, in the sense, we can have multiple and overlapping priorities, preferences, competing and conflicting as well. Like I also like collecting things, and my enjoyment of something isn't eternal without conditions. I can't play 100 missions with my favourite Warframe shotgun and still enjoy it the same... i need to take a break, whether that means using different weapons, or taking a break from the game. Steel Path I enjoy because the enemies do take a bit longer to kill, they are tougher. The potential (although the necessity), for more skill and knowledge is there. There is this occasional flawed argument that people sometimes employ, when they are dismissive or undermine an aspect of something, but pointing out how certain examples can render a characteristic redundant or inconsequential. Without separating or understanding that variables exist and not all people are necessarily motivated to use the specific tool or idea that renders such characteristics moot. We have hundreds of different Warframe tools at our disposal. Yes, I can do level cap, but that doesn't mean all my builds or tools are designed to do level cap or that i even enjoy level cap. Then obviously some tools can do it easier and or with less skill than others, its relative. Back to my perspective, you can also pay for Boosters too, so is this game favoured to those with more disposable income? Well yes, as a FTP game, and the model it employs, but again, sort of depends on certain variables. A person who loves grinding and farming and would rather spend more time for the same thing, may not necessarily care. Boosters may be a detriment. Would be sort of an odd perspective maybe, to be that extreme, but eh. Warframe also has a lot of RNG elements. Last week in Circuit (SP) I got a Mod drop Chance Booster (SP Circuit Rewards are also generally much better than normal Circuit rewards too right?), which also stacks with Steel Path boosters, so last week I was able to get a lot of the new Mods faster than otherwise. Except one of those aspects was also tied to RNG (you can get Mod Drop chance Boosters in Sorties too, and you can't pay for them). Now to be clear, a lot of people do have criticisms and issues with RNG and the idea Warframe is P2W, and depending on the exact specifics, that includes me as well, but many aspects of them also don't bother me. Someone who can buy boosters will be at a general advantage over players that can't. Players who can buy boosters and do Steel Path, are also going to have certain advantages too. People who have reliable Warframe friends and buddies, also have certain advantages... Players who are flexible with their builds and kits... Players who are more knowledgable with modding... Even players with better maths and understanding of statistics/odds can have certain advantages... I do sympathise with the idea of players feeling at a disadvantage in various situations, especially, if they feel mislead by DE, just again, and for Steel Path specifically, its eh. Its tricky because again, we are dealing with overlapping sections of the playerbase. The divide also isn't necessarily between players who prefer Steel Path and those that do not, because other gaps exist to, some star chart players will struggle with later planets. So should all difficulty be abolished? Should Kuva Fortress and Sedna be as difficult as Earth? Its not really a yes or no question, in the sense its relative, and its very fair and makes sense that people will have their own sweet spot around challenge and difficulty and rate of earning rewards and preferences over that. My main point is that it can be hard to broadly accomodate the individual over large groups. I am okay with how DE currently does it. I can understand why people would be critical/bothered as well.
  10. Heat and Radiation can be a tricky combination to mod for, as Radiation, is the combination of Heat and Electric. There are various ways around this though, for example, as you have heard, mods like those that were recently added will give you Radiation in just one mod, which allows you to have it as an element, plus adding Heat or Electric (though you can only add one in this instance, as again, pairing them together just creates more Radiation IIRC). There are also many weapons that have inherent or default elements and elemental combinations. As in you don't mod for them, they just come with the weapon itself. On these such weapons, such combinations can be easier to make. Additionally, Kuva and Sister weapons often let you choose the default element as well (and some of those even come with an element/elemental combo, as well as an element you can pick for them... As for the new update and those new Radiation mods. They mostly just drop from enemies. If you can do Steel Path, thats an advantage, since you get a Mod Drop Chance boost. I was lucky enough to get a Mod Drop Chance booster from SP Circuit, which stacks with the SP version, so was pretty much about to get all the new mods, plus many many extras during that time. Depending on when cross trade is allowed, I could definitely give you some. That being said, just playing that content should see you get them eventually, sooner rather than later. Its an interesting idea you are in pursuit of, I wish you the best of luck with your grossly incandescent themed load out!
  11. People who are also hunting their Lich, will be able to join, however that is somewhat naturally different from that nodes regular and Steel Path versions of the missions. Likewise a Relic mission at the node, will also have a seperate pool of players to select from. So Relic missions, especially popular mission types, like Exterminate, Capture, will always generally be well populated. Survival is decent too, for certain reasons, because whilst slower, you can get endless mission bonuses, plus in Steel Path farm Acolytes, etc. Lich missions on say, Earth, Exterminate, Capture will also be fairly popular. Thing is? Interception, Disruption, generally tend to not be as popular. So adding another filter to that? As in players doing Liches, may mean, you may not have as many randoms in that pool of potential players. There are other variables too, like your Region, whether you have crossplay on, so on. Plus if you are on later planets? Might be a smaller selection as well, as more players would have defeated their Lich at that point. You could always try Recruiting Chat. A lot of people are often looking for murmur/lich progress. Its also not that difficult to solo, with some practice and flexibility. Interception, is less about killing and often more about crowd control. Some Warframes like Vauban, Nyx, Banshee, Revenant, Xaku, Mesa, Citrine, Khora, Hydroid, Octavia, Mag, Zephyr and so many, have abilities that just let you lockdown, or CC entire groups of enemies. Which means you can effectively ignore them and focus on enemies like Eximus that are immune to CC. Just takes a bit of practice and knowledge about Warframes and their abilities and whether you enjoy using them (or at the least tolerate them for such specific missions. There are certain weapons that function very similar to, because they can group, CC or slow enemies (Probiscus Cernos will drag enemies from the Console). Good luck either way!
  12. For myself personally I find the following good. Especially for solo. Lavos: High base health and armour, plus health regen with your 1, plus you don't need to worry about energy issues at all. This means the 4 keys aren't really that big of an issue. You can use your 2 to skate through out the level, and its a box breaker as well, so you will always be getting resources, which is great since there are lots of new resources to collect. Then not only can you target enemy weaknesses with your elemental combos, (the are weak to electric and rad), but even some of the elements they are resistant to, are still good to have, if they assist other elements (viral). So in the stage where you have to kill enemies in the red circle to progress, you can be fairly quick. Styanax: The ability to armour strip, self heal, get Overguard with his augment, helps him minimise negative effects of the keys, be generally tanky. Of note though, I also run him with Nourish, over his 1 (which for me was a sacrifice, since I really like his 1), but his Rally ability is just too good with Nourish and vice versa. The synergy between those two abilities, and its a pretty open secret at this point. Not only do you never run out of energy even if you spam your abilities, which means you can always get Overguard, but you can build your weapons for Corrosive and Heat, Radiation and Electric, or many other types, and still get Viral. As an added bonus? Killing the little drone for that stage of the mission, is super easy with your 4. Just go to the red circle, press 4 and spin your camera around and you'll probably kill it. Citrine: Really good, a bit slower than the two above, from a powers only sense. Arguably she is tankier though, with her health regen, damage reduction, and you also don't really need to worry about health or energy which minimises the 4 keys. I would just add to take a strong gun with her, like an Incarnon, or something like the Trumna, or Arca Plasma. Something that can hit multiple enemies, a lot. Plus such weapons are going to be buffed with status and the fact you are constantly applied statuses to them, so Galvanised set ups work really well. Torid, Strun, Incarnon are obviously good picks too, that I have used as well. Citrine is also great in teams too obviously being a strong support. These are the three I have used so far solo and found great. I imagine Mesa, Nezha, Saryn, Qorvex, could be great, as well as others. Some of my favs, I want to try, but am a bit worried, are types that are normally strong, but a bit of a glass cannon that rely on CC. I am not sure how certain keys may affect their health or how they may fair with a lot of Eximus or non CC enemies being around, and risking dying, or if they lack healing/health regen to counter certain keys effects, but thats just me and how I play with them (Mag and Vauban for example). I will eventually try them, as they would be great for the red circle phase.
  13. I think peoples reactions will involve quite a few subjective elements, and this was a humorous recap, just... Well, there are a lot of different stories out there in the world, many that are very similar, at least plot wise, however peoples reception to the story is very different. Why? Well, there is more to be considered, like pacing, timing, prose, framing, allusions, and for some mediums, the execution in other elements, like gameplay for video games. An individuals ability to recap a plot, can be used to various effect, for comedy, for satire, to be critical, to praise, to undermine, or to enrich, and you could get 10 different people to try and write a recap, and probably end up with 10 very different recaps depending on the people selected. Not just for Warframe, but everything, from the The Great Gatsby, 1984, Dune, a Studio Ghibli film, Dark Souls, Lord of the Rings, Lollipop Chainsaw, Dragon Ball Z, original X-Force, a Final Fantasy game, Garfield comics, and so on. Different peoples interpretations, and even the intent behind their own recaps, can differ dramatically. That before we even get to reaching consensus about the intent, the execution of such ideas within the plot, plot structure, premise, and aforementioned contributing factors. So for myself, just speaking personally and more informally... Warframe plot is alright to good. Like i think its messy, but in a way that almost makes sense for and ongoing live action service game that is still releasing content, has retired old events, and is dealing with a bunch of different sci fi and fantasy concepts, some of which are well treaded and almost a bit cliche, but its earnest and heavily stylised by virtue of taking place within a setting with a distinct style and tone, and enough fairly original ideas as well. Messy isn't usually considered a good thing, but here I mean more neutrally, and like I said, almost fitting for what Warframe is, as its type of game. I also sort of have lower expectations, because of that as well. Its a FTP, live action service game. Wasn't envisioned or structured like a one and done epic fantasy character RPG, so in that sense, it actually had more to it, by the time I originally played it (helped by the fact it was quite a few years old at that point.). So in a way its about how you put things into context and frame it. Which we all can do a bit differently.
  14. Other people already answered, but I wanted to give some slight context since you are new. Founders as you probably have an understanding of now, were players who supported Warframe financially pre-release. Sort of like Kickstarter pledges. Warframe is around a 10 year old game, so this is back then. Situation sort of, the Developers asking possible players of their game, to take a risk, and give them money, for something which may not be successful. In return, you will get a few exclusive items, depending on which tier of pledge/tier you pay for. So there are some players, aka Founders that may have a few items, that other players won't be able to get. 1-3 items specifically. Which means, usually as far as how Warframe mastery is concerned and Master Rank levels, aka MR levels, Founders will often, usually get to new MR levels before other players, depending on how many new items are added with an update. Before the Whispers update, the highest potential MR level for everyone, was L3. The new update gave enough items that Founders can get to L4. In January Gauss Prime update will let everyone else get to L4 as well. All MR levels are available for everyone, just Founders may get their a bit earlier sometimes. Depending on the update. Sometimes enough items are new that everyone gets there at the same time. Well potentially. As far as percentage of players at L3/L4? Not many, though my source is outdated. Sometime a few years ago, the DE developers gave us some stats about players and percentages. Warframe entire playerbase, and where most people are, is... I can't actually remember the exact stat. Most Warframe players MR is in the bottom half though of midpoint. Though this also needs to consider what we count as a Warframe player. Different stats from different periods may count/define differently. A lot of people download the free game, but then don't necessarily play it. Games in general as a medium has a pretty bad retention rate in general as far as players progress from start to finish or start to "endgame". Like I remember a really old Steam statistic that was talked about within Warframe, at how 60% of Steam players at that time, had never instilled a mod... Also if you are on a Warframe Forum/Reddit, generally, typically, you are already a bit different than most people, who just aren't interested enough to want to seek out places like these. So its possible your average MR of players on forums etc will be a bit higher than those we count as Warframe players (even if we automatically exclude people who download but don't actually play longer than an hour). If you are interested in stats, around the beginning of each year, Reb likes to give out quite a few stats around Warframe. Usually about the prior year, usage rates etc but players often ask her and DE other questions around stats, that are usually answered. Like this is probably wrong/inaccurate but I recall like 2 years ago, someone saying something like MR17 being the most populated Warframe MR level. There was another funny stat about more players being MR30 than max rank with Ventkids syndicate, etc
  15. I think you misunderstand. I don't think the other user (or myself) was suggesting you have to look for the computer before the book. More so if you happen to come across a computer that only serves a function in a different game mode, it would be preferable to having another function, that can benefit you in the mission you are in. As opposed to doing nothing. As it does now. So net gain. I wouldn't want to look for the book or fight it as Kahl (of course you aren't actually suggesting that, but you see what I mean about misunderstandings). Alternative approaches to finding the book could be okay, but I was mainly wanting to address the computer that seemed to have no purpose outside Netracell missions (which may even just be a bug when they appear in the other missions too, if not intended). Cheers.
  16. I believe it will be, "Echoes: To the Whispers, to the Wall, Till the Sweat Drip down my Ballas! The Sequel, The Blueprint II" Its a brave and rather long name for the next update, but I applaud DE for their references and appreciation of Crunk and its philosophies.
  17. Yeah. Same, I try to keep my team mates in mind when taking the keys, and be considerate and take the worser types, since I know I can manage them (as in I can already solo with all of them anyway). I think my favourite personal example, was an Archon Hunt I did. Second round was Defence, so I went with a glass cannon, Equinox build, designed to nuke, to make the Defence go faster for us all. Except my build was specifically for Defence, not hunting the Archon in the third round. Myself and one other player, let the other two players know, we would need a moment to switch for the third round against the Archon, so that would be easier as well. Except one player force started that mission because they were in a hurry... Except now half the teams builds were relatively ineffective, and ended up taking way longer than if they just let me switch to my Hek build. It was Nira too, which meant her healing was an issue, but then the person who forced the mission start was getting defensive/aggro at the other two players, and left, and we managed to kill Nira even with substandard gear. Its a bit like spite, some people will waste more of their own time, to try to spite people they think, are wasting their time, without much realisation of what they are doing, nor how often it will occur again.
  18. For clarity and my own understanding. When you say you try to log in via Playstation, you mean the button that appears on the log in screen asking how you want to sign in right? I ask since thats how I do it. Since I am lazy, my auto fill also activates further below, and lets me potentially sign in with my other account, I used for a bit, but you are saying that even when you use the Playstation route it still redirects you here? Perhaps try signing out and logging back on, on a different device if you can?
  19. Look, I don't have a lot of time, whats the TL;DR version? Kidding. I get you though, but its also kind of funny to me as well, since I am often paired with players where I somehow end up being the fastest generally, but I much prefer a more chill, relaxed friendly attitude as far as missions/quests. As in, I prefer when the people I am paired with are enjoying themselves, too. I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with players having play styles and preferences, either, including those that like to rush and go fast, I just think its important for everyone, that we try to not impose ours on others. So just practice basic consideration and decency. A lot of people can end up counter productive to their own goals, because of odd, restrictive behaviours without any self awareness (like people who end up quitting multiple missions for being too slow, actually ending up taking far longer, or people who don't care about the wishes of 3 other players... because they prioritise themselves, ending up being screwed a majority more, because they are essentially training and encouraging more people to be dismissive/apathetic towards them.) Game theory and all that and real life experiences with having to be consideration, compromise, reciprocate etc
  20. Certain Duviri Decrees do this with certain elements. It makes Lavos a pretty unstoppable powerhouse in those missions. (More specifically the idea about two statuses on an enemy creating a third), so I do think its something they could technically implement with a Warframe. Might be too powerful to be a passive though, as opposed to a power. Again, using Lavos as an example in Duviri. Of course if we are talking about a brand new Warframe, they could be balanced around such an idea, and be pretty interesting. Didn't you also have a weather mage Warframe idea? Sounds like they could sort of draw on that idea as far as drawing upon the elements but their effect on enemies interacting in various ways. Like freezing then shocking them, or burning then poisoning them, etc. Either way cool idea.
  21. That would be a great idea, and hopefully their intention. If in non Netracell missions, they marked the Whisper or whatever the closest "secret" is. Sort of like the creepy Zariman children.
  22. Hello there, and welcome back to the game! Glad you enjoyed the new quest, so did I. As far as your difficulties? Eh, thats potentially a lot more complicated. Like there are potentially a lot of different ways you could improve, to find the difficulty lessened. There are also different approaches you can take. For example, I know you said you have been a way for a year? Except it almost seems like longer? Or, did you still have a lot of game you hadn't explored when you left? For example did you do much high level Zariman missions? Even the non Steel Path high end missions can be pretty tough, Ignis Wraith is incredibly powerful in the early and mid game, but starts to fall off considerably against tougher enemies, unless you find ways to compensate (like armour stripping enemies etc). Steel Path also isn't necessarily vital, especially if you don't want to do it, but its the kind of challenge that demands that you refine, understand and really learn about the games various mechanics and systems, to see what can work, and what doesn't and sort of develop your ability to put together build ideas and theory that you can then use to empower more of your builds. If that sounds a bit too abstract and theoretical, basically what I mean, is a lot of people think that you need the best weapons to do Steel Path, but thats really not true. I personally take hundreds of different types of weapons into Steel Path regularly, the very best weapons, just make it, way easier, more thoughtless, and straight forward. Like there are these weapons called Incarnons, which you have heard about already. There are a few different types, the originals you get from Zariman, the additions you get from Duviri. Some of them are so strong, as long as you fill each mod slot, you'll probably kill a lot of tough enemies with them. If you want to take a weapon like Exergis or Daikyu, you'll still be able to kill enemies, but you'll have to know the weapons strengths, weaknesses, potential synergies, understand why/how the games elemental systems work, whether you should go Viral, Corrosive, Gas, Heat, etc, whether the weapon has something like a forced procc element, like the Daikyu... which forces an Impact. Then why does that matter? Well because there is a mod that could turn that into slash... which bypasses enemy armour... You sort of see what I am getting at? Chances are you can use a lot of your favourite weapons, if you invest into them, however... you may have to spend time learning, relearning the game, and understanding certain interactions, systems, mechanisms... Which some people like myself? I really enjoy that, so thats a positive and more content. That also may mean having to backtrack though too. For example, when we look at your Ignis Wraith build? its decent, but also a bit redundant. Did you know, there is actually an Arcane slot for most weapons now, and mods like Serration and Heavy Caliber aren't often used that often anymore? Well Serration has its place on certain builds, but to many older players, Serration was a mandatory mod, but now its not anymore. A lot of people get that raw damage from Arcanes instead, specifically Primary Merciless. There is also a set of new mods, Galvanised Mods, one which can assist that way too. Serration and Heavy Caliber in general is a bit redundant but even more so now. Ignis Wraith also comes with default Heat right? So, depending on your mod configuration set up, it sounds like you have Corrosive and Radiation damage? Which can be decent, but one of the strengths of a status beam weapon like Ignis is the ability to build a lot of heat procs against enemies. So you'd probably rather want Viral and Heat, with the Viral assisting the Heat (Viral caps, Heat doesn't), but also... thats just more of a generalised idea... not the games new content, which specifically is strong/resistant to what the meta was/is... Now if a lot of what I am saying, is just... too much, understandable, but thats sort of my point, it sounds like you have missed out on a fair bit. So its sort of your choice about whether all that interests you, or bores you, and then what to do about it. Since catching up in different parts of the game, in order to progress, will require different bits of knowledge and information. For example, I am not sure if you would struggle getting some of the Zariman Incarnons, let alone the Duviri Incarnons. Or whether you might find doing basic Steel Path to get some of those Arcanes would help, or voce versa. Arbitrations might be a good place to start to get Galvanised Mods, but some find that a bit tricky as well. Depending on how long you have been gone, there may also be a lot of new Warframes you might prefer. Like if you like Inaros, I wouldn't try to tell you otherwise, but weirdly Inaros isn't as tanky/survivable as he once was, because Warframe introduced shield gating. There are enemies that can occasionally one shot us Warframes, but most will survive because of how shields work. Inaros has no shields so... Nidus doesn't either, but he has his stacks and a damage resist ability. There are Warframes now, that can press one button and become invincible for a while... There is even an Operator ability, that when you die, you don't die, you get a window to kill enemies, and if you succeed, you auto revive... There is also content where if you do die, its mission failure/no manual revive... So there is a bit of a gear check going on, but also a knowledge check too. Its sort of the combination, which can balance each other out. A lot of people can get by, with variety of builds/kits because they have the knowledge, but a lot of people don't care about that, and they can get by fine too and have fun, with the gear aspect (though both may require building progression from easier areas/parts of the game too. Anyway I said a lot, hopefully it wasn't too confusing, if you have more specific questions or worries, please feel free to ask. You might want to sort of think about a route of progression for getting more powerful/improving your builds. Give yourself goals to accomplish. Like, if you like Ignis Wraith? hats essentially a beam weapon that can hit multiple opponents. Well the strongest version of that type of weapon right now, is Torid Incarnon, which turns into a powerful beam, that hits multiple opponents and will be far more effective in killing them. That being said, thats also not an easy weapon to just get, but you could make that a goal and get prepared to attain it. By the way this is just an example of what I mean.
  23. Hmm tough question, Qorvex is still in my Foundry crafting, and the other three this year were so unique, with fun synergies. Maybe Citrine. Really enjoyed this year in Warframe, one particular monetisation issue aside, in fact I think this might be my favourite year in Warframe ever, really enjoyed Whispers and Duviri updates, really like the Incarnon additions, got to see Tennocon return in person (well not in, in person, but for others). Really looking forward to Warframes future. Thanks. Hope everyone is safe and well during the holiday season.
  24. Am happy for you and the others. Cross save won't affect me personally too much, but its great to see it for the people that will make use of it, and I have a few friends and know a few people that will benefit as well. Also pleasantly surprised they rolled this out before the end of the year. I saw plenty of skepticism (and I understand why), and it hasn't always been smooth, but very cool to see Christmas come early for many.
  25. As per usual and my prediction, from my initial original post, Chipper has a blue/Azure, and the Archon is Boreal with a blue/Azure, which means next week the rotation/cycle begins anew. With Amar offering Red/Crimson, and Chipper... well, they have changed the colours slightly, man, the new yellow "Amber" looks weird, not a fan, but yeah. Its the inverse of the following week (Nira offering the yellow/Amber, Chipper offering Red/Crimson). Objections about colouring aside, did anyone not get blue/blue this week?
