  1. Thanks for the updates, but I take it the Assemble the Shrine showstopper bug still has not been fixed yet? I can understand some bugs being harder to fix than others and will wait, but after getting hit by this bug twice in a row, I just do not have the energy to try again and possibly waste another 30 minutes for nothing. As reported in these threads, among others:
  2. I do not believe this statement is true at all. Back when the new Eximus units were released, I did a few Solo runs of the SP Zariman missions with a facetank Limbo Prime without dodging or casting abilities to see if it could be done. I was absolutely knocked down multiple times, but only acolytes managed to kill me. SP requires us to pay attention to and have a plan for survival. If a single knockdown equals death for you, then may I suggest you re-examine your builds?
  3. Are you sure they are aborting missions because they looked at and did not like what relics other players brought? Because I'm seeing a lot more players dropping from all types of missions ever since Crossplay was released, and heavily suspect it's just DE's netcode.
  4. And that's a great use for them too! If I ever get enough to stick some into my melee-focused frames, then that definitely would be a great choice!
  5. Yikes, really sorry to hear you hit the 4% jackpot... But I guess you are guaranteed a Tauforged in 3 weeks, so that is some solace? I personally go for the other two colors due to the frames I prefer, but (knock on wood) I have yet to reach 80% on either of them... Red is also good for the frames that use abilities to stay alive (Wisp, Baruuk, etc.). But definitely, all colors have their uses, even though each individual shard only offers a small benefit.
  6. The community is very much a mixed bag. I guess that's to be expected of any long-running game with a large following, and as humans we tend to remember the outliers more than the typical occurrences. Yet you do see both a deep willingness for people to spend their time and help others, as well as a ton of senseless toxicity. Overall, I think the cause of these behaviors can be attributed to several features of the game itself: The game is incredibly obtuse. Intentionally or not, new players are inevitably lost when they start the game, and are usually still lost several months in. This leads to both frustrations as well as a bunch of experienced players eager to help ease others in. The game is incredibly grindy. Unless you just choose to pay to win, you will end up spending an incredible amount of time in it. This again leads to frustrations as well as very strong opinions about things. The game has a ton of content, with varying amounts of pro-social and anti-social designs. Void Fissures, for example, are designed to be very pro-social. Everyone is incentivized to find a full squad, bring a relic and make sure everyone else gets their fill of traces. Trading and Liches, much less so. So depending on which activity players are engaged in, they will experience a very different side of the community.
  7. Thanks for the write-up, @PublikDomain! It's interesting to see where the team is planning for us after the Duviri Paradox.
  8. They let you collect Warframe BPs and Arcanes in the Duviri Circuit. If it's just the player, how do those and the materials you collect pass over to the Operator side? I suppose it can just be some hand waving "game magic", but it cheapens the original story, which was pretty good up until right before The New War.
  9. Oh, I don't think they shared the account, but the clan absolutely pitched in to make sure that account got all BPs and builds lined up so there was always something ready to be ranked up. The MR test timegate operates in real-time, so you do not have to be in the game for it to count up to 24 hours. If rich enough, I'm pretty sure you can just buy most regular frames/weapons, Prime BPs and rush all builds. It will cost a fortune, but I'm pretty sure 30 days is very feasible now, especially now that you no longer have to do much of SP/Railjack Intrinsics to reach MR30. Just buy the equipment and level them in PUBs. Though, I'm not personally aware of anyone trying that...
  10. [...] Oh, yuck. Canonically, the Drifter does not meet the Operator until well into TNW. Just how are they going to explain away letting Drifter-starting players go directly into the Origin system and experience a totally unrelated story?
  11. The fastest record we've seen on this forum was 30 login days, over approximately 35 real-time days. But I believe that was a carefully planned clan effort, yet back when you had to clear most of Steel Path in order to reach MR30. The absolutely fastest would be 30 real-time days, given the Mastery Tests' timegate. Your feat is still impressive, especially for a beginner without prior Warframe experience! Enjoy the game, and your time here in the forums!
  12. Looks interesting! I think the alternative way to farm frames will be welcome for newer players, and I may even jump in if there's an interesting Arcane I'm missing.
  13. I'm sticking by my claim that the current system is better than no pity, but worse than a single, combined pity counter. As well, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter because the improvement is marginal and we all can already steamroll over every single piece of content available, even without the shards. So while it could have been better, I'm quite fine with the new system. I've already skipped all Yellow hunts (that Nora didn't ask me to do) and will continue to do so. I've gotten at least 1 Blue and 1 Red Tauforged, meaning the system is probably working as expected. To incentivize everyone to do every hunt, they will probably have to implement a fusing and color-changing system. But that would run counter to the goal of an end-game activity to keep players coming back every single week. So maybe they will go down that path once a few other end-game activities are cooked up?
  14. There are some users who either get a kick off of trolling on the forums, or simply have an axe to grind and do not mind wasting their own time just to sow discord here. That user is a prime example of someone who is neither honest nor earnest in their posts, and ignoring them was one of the best choices I made here.
  15. Then play solo? While timed missions like Profit Taker's final phase can make it so that a late spawner will be too late to help, most other missions do not have this problem as they have checkpoints after which joining is no longer allowed. If you have chronic late spawning issues and are on PS4, then maybe try turning off Crossplay. Most other PC players are running on much faster hardware than you, and you spawning in late is a hardware problem, not a matchmaking problem.
  16. Okay, fair enough. We all see different aspects that elicit different memories. And in this case, I would just give kudos to Warframe's art team for creating something that feels both familiar and alien at the same time.
  17. You realize that giant snakes are by no means unique to the Chinese, right? Given the distinct lack of (tiny) feet on the Orowyrm, the first inspiration I saw was Jormungandr: Or maybe even Quetzalcoatl, although Orowyrm lacks the wings that is usually depicted on it: Not saying the Orowyrm could not have been inspired by Chinese dragons, but I just don't see it as the primary inspiration, as Chinese dragons are always depicted with tiny feet/claws.
  18. Christ, I can't believe I read that wall of text. And you know what? Your entire "idea" can be summed up with a single phrase: "Asymmetrical PvP". This one vs many PvP gameplay has been around for at least a decade, and popularized with multiple games, including Left 4 Dead, Dead by Daylight and more. Yet you know what all of these successful asymmetrical PvP games have in common? Careful balancing of a limited roster of characters and abilities (or at least trying hard to do so). Something that Warframe will never achieve with 50+ frames, hundreds of weapons and an open-ended modding system with hundreds of mods. So I'm going to side with the naysayers here and say no to your idea. It will never work. Even if DE halts all updates for five years focusing solely on this mode, and miraculously got it balanced, still no. Just not for me, so leave me out of your "everyone" claim.
  19. So a few quick thoughts: 1. 0:25 - Are our necramechs powered by the drifters that never made it? Please make it so! 2. 1:44 - Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo? Is that you? I'm calling it now: Powercreep! 3. 2:10 - Warframe on horse gameplay? That's... New? 4. 2:42 - This makes the "Thrax is Vor" theory less likely and the "Thrax is another version of the Operator/Drifter" theory more likely, though it's impossible to say as of yet.
  20. "God roll" is absolutely just marketing speak used by sellers to jack up prices. Unless you are also trying to profit in the riven trade, best ignore it and just focus on what works for your builds. For me, I'm usually satisfied when I get 2 useful stats and at least no nasty negative. So other than Incarnon guns where I roll for a -CC, most of my rivens are rerolled less than 20 times.
  21. For me it's just Daikyu, Knukor and my Sepfahn Nikana Zaw. Works with any frame if you are okay with the prime-and-slash or melee-only style of gameplay. Your weapon choices can work fine if modded correctly, but you need to get used to switching between the Secondary to prime and the Primary to kill, or you might find your kill speed a bit too low.
  22. Pretty sure that is forbidden as well. AFAIK, no contact is allow between alt accounts. That means no trading, no gifting, no joining the same clan, no playing together. It's up to you if you want to take the risk of getting banned, but don't say we didn't warn you.
  23. Wow, is the real Eriniy back? Or is this a troll account from someone who realized that the original account has been abandoned and name now available? Both the tone and punctuation match, but of course those can easily be emulated. If you are the real Eriniy, then welcome back to the game and forums. But keep the tall tales to a minimum this time, okay?
  24. So first of all, welcome to the game and the forums! Secondly, you are absolutely correct that the game is confusing as hell when you start. Lord knows the devs tried to improve the New Player Experience, multiple times even, but yeah, it still leaves quite a bit to be desired. Now if you do decide to stick with the game, you will probably find it both rewarding in many ways and frustrating in others, as I'm sure other folks here can attest to. But having said that, here are some tips, off the top of my head, for someone starting today: The "premium currency" in the game is Platinum, and represented by this symbol: . Okay, I lied. The emojis on this forum haven't been updated with the latest Platinum icon. The actual in-game icon looks like this: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Platinum So, you are given 50 free Platinum when starting the game, and I would recommend saving it for slots. Throughout the first part of your journey, warframe slots, weapon slots, companion slots and all other types of slots will be your main limitation from fully enjoying the game, so don't waste those free plats! "Power" in this game comes mods. While some pieces of equipment are objectively stronger than others, even the highest rated items are really, really weak without mods (which you will find out first hand when you eventually decide to farm for Grendel). So, focus on collecting new mods, focus on collecting Endo and Credits so you can level up those mods, focus on increasing the rank of your equipment so you can put more mods on, and you will become a killing machine in no time. Orokin Reactors and Orokin Catalysts double the mod capacity of your weapons and warframes (and companions, etc.), respectively. These are premium resources when starting out, so only use them on weapons and frames that you really plan to keep. They are also not really necessary for your first run through the Star Chart, so best save them if you can, for now. If you ever feel lost, try following that Guide on the top of your screen. While it was added well after I started playing, I believe it points you to new quests and stuff that you have yet to do. If you have had your fill of quests for the time being, then focus on carving your way through the Star Chart. Find the Junctions that will lead you to the next planet, and complete missions in turn until you open that Junction up. Don't worry about opening up all nodes on every planet just yet. You will get to that eventually. Starting out, I would actually suggest playing Solo for all but Void Fissures used to open Void Relics. By playing Solo, you can learn the game at your own pace, not get rushed by experienced players, and understand just how you stack up against the current enemies. You can better assess whether you are able to push forward, or if you'll need to farm up some more endo, credits and mods before you are strong enough. That's about it for now. Let us know if you have any other questions, and I'm sure someone will help!
  25. Given your generous definition of "copycating" as "I see a resemblance", then From Software probably "copycatted": Wizardry, by Sir-Tech Legend of Zelda, by Nintendo Dragon Slayer, by Nihon Falcom Mercenary, by Novagen Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss, by Origin Systems ... among countless others. There is nothing inherently new that Demon's Souls brought to the table, except for a particular combination of punishing gameplay, open-world, and action RPG. All have been done before and with countless titles, but combining it all at a time when punishing gameplay was entirely out of vogue was a refreshing experience that started a trend. That you see slow gameplay in a fantasy setting and immediately yell "copycat!" is just downright being dishonest. Then why do you make false claims about me, about DE, yet refuse to apologize or address them? Also, didn't you claim to be an architect? Are you now claiming to be a mathematician instead? I do wonder just how much you write here is true. For a supposed mathematician, you sure do not seem to be able to do simple arithmetic. Let's break it down for you. DE has been around for more than 10 years. For simplicity's sake, let's just count 10. I'm sure their employee count has been up and down, but let's just say an average of 350 over the 10 years. Total cost of employee compensation also varies widely, but let's just assume they are terrible slave drivers and only average spending $100,000 per employee. Over the 10 years, they would have spent: $100,000 x 350 employees x 10 years = $350 million on employee compensation alone. Do you really believe anyone would keep them operating, let alone pay money for them, if they only made less than $90 million total? Would you keep any company running if they already lost $240 million for you? Oh really? Which books of his have you read? Without looking at Wikipedia or asking ChatGPT, what is Chomsky known for? No, all I ask for is a single ounce of honesty from you, yet even that appears to be asking for too much. So I am done with you. There is no point conversing with someone who will write anything and everything just for the sake of argument. I will not be seeing any more of your lies now that I've ignored you, so farewell for good.
