You don't need a PC account in my opinion because your xbox account have every feature a PC account have and you can just log in your xbox account on PC

Ok I'll update the account merging part for plat for Switch. But i think for trading plat what they are doing is there's no plat trade between Switch and any other platforms.

Yeah, they didn't give much info really on the cross save on this Devstream, I think we will find out more on TGA on Dec 7. It's like they are isolating Nintendo.

With Cross Save Information out, I think many things are still very unclear, especially for Nintendo Players which has much more restrictions than all other platforms. The main goal for cross-save I think is so everyone can play their account everywhere and do everything anywhere. Like trading. From my understanding, first, cross-trade will be available for everyone, and if you are on Play-Station or Xbox you will be able to trade with PC on everything! It looks like to are two options in terms of cross-save: 1. You simply can log into your account anywhere by making the account a Primary account and you can log onto Warframe anywhere. (Account Linking) WHAT IS ACCOUNT LINKING? Linking will allow you to select one Warframe profile as your primary account. By setting this account as your primary profile, and linking it to other platforms, you may carry the progress and purchases of that Warframe profile back and forth across multiple different platforms. For example, a player may mark their PC profile as the primary account and link it to their PlayStation profile. The PC progress will override the existing PlayStation account, and you will no longer be able to access the original PlayStation account. This option is recommended if you do not have any history of playing Warframe on the new platform. 2. You have multiple accounts on multiple platforms and you are combining everything together into one account. Like what Apex is doing rn for people who play Apex. Basically, it's kind some the same as account linking but this time all your account's "stuff" (Items, Money, Frames) will be COMBINED. Not OVERRIDE. And then you pick one account out of the ones u merged and that will be the primary account that you can then log in to anywhere. So now it would be the same as Account Linking. WHAT IS THE ONE-TIME ACCOUNT MERGE? The One-Time Account Merge is a permanent method of combining Items, Customizations, Resources, and Currencies across multiple accounts into a single Warframe Cross-Platform Save Account. When you choose to merge, you select one of your linked accounts to be the Primary Account associated with your Mission and Quest progress. Your Resources, Arsenal, Currencies, etc. from other Secondary Accounts will be merged into your Primary Account. Quest progress on your Primary Account will be the same as it was pre-merge. For example, if a player has 100,000 Credits on a PC profile and 100,000 Credits on an Xbox profile, performing a One-Time Account Merge will combine these two accounts into one — creating a new, unified account with a combined total of 200,000 Credits. The same is true for most Resources, Items, Customizations and Quest progress retrieved from the Primary Account (with limited exceptions explained below). Note that the One-Time Account Merge is permanent. Once a unified Warframe Cross-Platform Save Account is created, you will not be able to retrieve your previous profiles as they existed before the merge! There are several catches to this though! First, the storyline is tied to the primary account you selected. Say you finished everything on PS5 but your PC account only has "Second Dream" done and you choose to make your PC account your primary account. Even though your PS5 Stuff will be COMBINED, you would have to play the storyline again. My suggestion is if you are on PC/PS5/XBOX just select the account that has the most progress. But now one question arises: What about Mastery Rank, Does the Primary account's Mastery override the rest or the Highest Mastery Reach on the combined accounts take the Win? Here comes the Problems with Switch Players! First of all, my understanding is that all your Plat on Switch will stay on Switch, if you log into PC with Switch account there won't be any plat. (Correct me if I'm wrong) There is no plat trading between Switch and any other platforms. So no plat going into switch account from other platforms and no plat going out to other platforms from Switch. With all the restrictions laid here, I think what we(Switch players) wanna know is what should a Switch player do to be able to log on their account anywhere and to be able to trade anywhere with any platform(Including Plat)? I have come up with an option that I don't know if it will work, which means again UPVOTE THIS SO A DE worker will be able to see this is answer this question for all of us. 1. Create a PC account rn,(as long as one of your merging accounts is created before November 24, 2 PM 2023, you will be able to merge) and combine your switch account with it and choose the PC account as your Primary account, and all your switch stuff will be carried over. (Any plat on a Switch account when merged will become "Switch plat" and it thus locked to Switch platform) Then you will be able to log in with your PC account anywhere and trade with anyone anywhere on any platform with stuff you had on Switch. (Does that include Mastery rank?) Now you will have to play all the storylines again unless DE does something else.
