In the next update for the shield gating mechanic, you will need to use the Catalyzing Shields mod which takes up one slot, this is a nerf to the shield gating. Considering that mods from the Augur set were usually used for this purpose (X% of energy spent is converted to shields.), I believe it's balanced to add such an effect to Catalyzing Shields, then it will replace the Augur mod in most cases.
