  1. Oh my Gobs, can we talk about that? I think that's what's making me doubly-angry; the Heirloom Collections. Like I mentioned before, I like to work for what I get, so this idea that the Heirloom set was locked behind a lot of boosters I don't want, for the ridiculous price of $90.00, is insane. I would have bought the absolute S#&$ out of a 10th Anniversary Collectors Edition Physical Merch Set with In-Game Heirloom Skins included, for $90. Heck, I would have easily spent $150+ on something like that. But to offer all these unnecessary boosters, and plat, and all, and lock it behind one singular option at $90? Then take away my Oberon? Double Anger, just like I said. I love Warframe, I really do, but someone needs to chase away their marketing staff- forever. Get better people, less greedy, and make it more interesting. You know, like the Unlockable Merch? I want to buy that pin just because it's unlockable merch! Do more of that, DE. Love, Glass, and Sacrifice, Tenno. (Seriously, $90 for a bunch of boosters... next we'll be buying "Gems" as a form of different currency in order to buy random chances to get things you actually want- waitaminute..)
  2. I appreciate the delicacy in which you approached this, but I saw that. It didn't tell me what it needed to, though. DE made it very clear that Frost and Mesa were the Relics going away. So showing one Timer saying "EXPIRES IN 1D 3H", and having a corresponding timer saying the same, it doesn't tell you that in less than 24 hours, all of your options would immediately be replaced. Also, as an aside, I've waited long enough, haven't I? I just used all 6 Relics, and didn't get anything better than one Silver item. It was a huge waste of my time, effort, and all. I worked on repeat to farm for Aya, exclusively for Oberon. And only one part, just the one! And I won't get another shot, for another month, all because DE didn't make it clear what their plan was. I'm sure that, yes, DE said somewhere that the whole thing was rotating, but in-game? Where I was playing? Where I was looking? The only place you should have to look to find the information you need? Clear as mud. It would be one thing if I just sat on it, and lost out, but that's not it. I worked for it, and still missed out. Hence why I suggest they make it Concise, and CLEAR about what's going where, and when. Otherwise, it just makes me want to take another break. I'm caught up on content, and now I can't farm out Oberon. *shrug* Edit: Also, DE? If I can get the part elsewhere, the only thing I'll do in a Month is ignore Prime Resurgence. I have the frames I wanted from it, save for Oberon. Not a great way to get people to spend money.
  3. Okay, I'm going to try and keep the whining to a minimum, Tenno. But- Seriously, DE? I have been waiting patiently for a while for Oberon to come back up in Resurgence, and having ground-out plenty of Aya to get the last few pieces I needed, I waited to buy some relics. Well, I noticed that a 'LIMITED TIME' warning came up on a few of the relics. Only a few relics. So, since it was on the Frost relics, and ONLY the Frost Relics, I didn't worry. I bought a couple of O6 relics, and was going to Rad them- oh! I need more traces, not to worry, I'll start with just 6 relics for now, and buy more if I nee- They're gone. They're all completely gone; replaced by a new rotation. What gives? I didn't see any warning in-Game stating that a new rotation was going to begin right just now, no warning kthxforplaying. So, no Oberon Prime for me? I get 6 chances (not a lot in Rare Drop World) to get the last piece I needed, or I have to spend platinum or find someone who really doesn't care for it. I'll probably do a trade, so that Platinum never changes hands. Because, I don't know about you, Tenno, but I don't care to reward 'rug pulls' with spending more money on the game. You can probably tell I'm a bit miffed by this, but, you know, I like the activity of grinding something out; you know, working for my gains? If I wanted to buy my way through a game, I'd just play Mobile games. Warframe is better than that, by leagues in my opinion, which is why I'm so confused as to why DE would just take it all away without warning. Do better, DE, because your fans deserve it. Love, Glass, and Sacrifice, Tenno. Overcomplicaeta
  4. Yeah, hence why I try to avoid it. I used Overframe fairly early on, but this was back before I understood how the game applied mechanics, and before I ground out for the Simulacrum. It was initially hard to grasp why I could have a bunch of damage mods on, but never kill anything, and why with the builds I made, throwing tons of shield onto a tankier 'Frame was a pointless endeavor. Honestly, if I had a gripe about DE's execution of the Simulacrum, it would be that it's not immediately available to new players. I feel like it pushes players toward outside sources because people have to grind 50k rep with Cephalon Simaris- which at lower Mastery Ranks (and with less experience) takes a bit of time. You make an excellent point, I do like Mobile Defense missions, and tend to go for those a lot. So I can see where preference gives way to less, sadly. Yeah, I'm learning much and more about special builds, and the more Helminth I unlock, the better. Like my Valkyrie Zephyr Build (Mag Pull + Tornado Splash Damage), or Dark Heart Trinity (Garuda Blood Alter + Link/Blessing). They're fun, but not Meta; still modded, though. Speaking of.. Hildryn Prime just finished in my Foundry, time to get to building! :3 (P.S.: I previously lost my reply, thank you mobile, but DE has a safety mechanism to restore your post. Thank you DE! I really appreciated not having to retype it all. <3 )
  5. You know, I must confess, I may have simply been choosing the wrong options. However, I should note that I haven't blown through all of Steel Path, so much of it is still locked for me. I've been changing that, lately, but I confess I don't spend much time on sites like Overframe. Because half my fun is building interesting, non-META builds. These often don't have the Run & Done momentum as some of the Stat-Stickers or Math Breakers other people build to make it easier. I also prefer to play how I like, and that often means using weapons that usually aren't considered all that great for Steel Path. So, it's a slow going process. But, then again, I've never been one for Run &Done. *Shrug* I'll give it another go after I open up a few more planets, and see if I can get more than maybe one other person, if I'm lucky.
  6. You know, come to think on it a bit, DE is technically already trialing a similar system already: Duviri. Because it's not a spoiler, I'll just say this, we have options with Duviri. Three of them, in fact. 'The Circuit', aka Grind Town Canada. 'The Duviri Experience', aka "Slugtopia"(according to some R&D'ers) the Full experience with activities and Story. Finally 'The Lone Story', where players can experience the amazing, incredible, just jaw-dropping effort of the Developers, shy of any distractions. It's a great system, all in all, something for everyone. Now, if they could pull out another amazing miracle, they might be able to apply that to the rest of the game. Give the R&D'ers something to mindlessly grind, give the Players something to play without pressure, and give the Lore Hounds the ability to enjoy the scenery, and absolute majesty of the system so far. Frankly, I'd love to see a open-"world" map for Railjack. Wouldn't THAT be something? Grind or no grind, I think that would be amazing. Also, completely aside from my reply: I think a lot of folks focusing on Steel Path vs. Non-SP, are forgetting some of the context. Yes, jumping into Steel Path adds the challenge, it still doesn't add four other people all unlocking relics of different varieties. And yes, people can go Solo, like some people keep repeatedly suggesting, but then you miss out on the Great Relic Variable: sometimes people use vaulted relics, because they have them in excess. Don't play with others? Miss out. Even if you could unlock multiple relics by yourself each run, it's simply not the same. Full stop.
  7. Let's try to avoid making assumptions, because they are just assumptions, and nothing fact-worthy. Not every 'Frame we play is fine tuned for maximum laziness, nor should they be. Also, how I play after 3 years, or 13 years, doesn't matter here. The point, and problem, is the cheesing. If you disagree, you probably cheese. If that works for you, then that is what works for you. But like folks have suggested, you want to play the 'Big Man on Deck'? Go find a solo mission that is more your speed. Either way, you don't buy my Plat; I'll play the game the way that suits me. Though a little unrefined, I can agree with that. Sea of Thieves made some good headway with players with the 'Safer Seas' release. Though, I think a good third solution would be to add new, mechanic-gated missions. Run as fast as you want to the end, but if you're not done with task C, then you'll be standing there a while. Modes like Mirror Defense and Conjunction Survival add a greater effort, and intrigue, into the game. But that's just my opinion. Beyond that, I think I'm done here. I've made my point, exploded the points of others, and have more Warframe to play. I wish you all the best in this new year! Love, Glass, and Sacrifice, Tenno. Overcomplicaeta
  8. I'd take any form of Nerf for these nukes, honestly. LoS, Damage, Range, CDs, anything. I think the problem is DE having to balance between the try-hards and the players, you can't win them all, so it comes down to who the bigger audience is in the end; whether that audience is bringing in money. Hopefully players outstrip the Run & Done's, but you never really know until the numbers start moving. =/
  9. Ah, I meant to respond to this earlier, but was distracted by rudeness. Anyway, sadly it's not quite like that. Although you are correct, you can see these things on a curve, and the faster the mission type, the more you will see that. However, sometimes your only Axi or Neo option is an Exterminate, or a Capture, and the only option is to wait for the timer reset, or go solo and miss out on the opportunities that having 4 random relics unlocking at once can provide. That solution is great and wonderful and all, unless you're playing Survival, or Defense, or any other map. These folks are found anywhere an opportunity is, as long as that opportunity consists of low-effort high-reward. It's the same reason people use Smeeta Kavats all the time, easy Crits and Extra Loot. Take that aspect away, and suddenly you'll see a lot fewer Smeetas. The only place you might not see Thermal Sunder or room-nukes is Steel Path; and that's hit or miss on the multiplayer aspect. People will always find ways to break mechanics, just look at speedrunners (get it?), but that doesn't mean that this is a good thing, or a desired thing. We all play the same game, and if you want to room-nuke, just play Solo on regular Earth; I'm sure you'll feel all powerful taking down the level 1's. And if you found that suggestion to be less than helpful, might I recommend some introspection?
  10. Nice toxicity, there. However, some of us actually enjoy playing the game, not cheesing it. Play how you want, but don't make your playstyle other folks' problem. As a working professional, it's easy to acknowledge that a lot of people play at different times, so pre-made groups can be an issue sometimes. That's why I'd like to see Multiplayer be Multiplayer, and not Multirace-to-the-finish-'cause-reasons. Also, I'd like to point out that if all you play is nukes, you're not "getting good", you're just following online tutorials so you can button mash your way to a participation award. Skill comes from challenge. Aside from Edglorde McToxic up there, just because you like cheesing things, doesn't mean the rest of us enjoy it. I can clear a room in a button too, but where's the fun? I've had more people leave mid-Sanctuary just because I brought Mirage in. No one likes jumping into a match to sit there for 20m doing nothing while Spammers go Ham on Cheese. Want more cheese? Have a Hot Pocket. But leave the Playing to the Gamers. =/
  11. See, like, I know that other 'Frames have nuking abilities, too. My only issue is that there's nothing anyone can do, save for leaving (which, I mean, isn't worth it), so we're stuck with Map-Nukes. I did love the rework on Eximus, personally, at least in that they aren't like Chaff anymore. I don't really want to see any Nerfs, especially since I don't want Gauss Mains to get hit with the LessFunButtonTM but leaving these abilities where they are, is a bit too much. Perhaps instead of Nuking the Range/Damage, they can instill a Cooldown on the ability for other 'Frames. That way 'Tiny McSpamsALot' can't kill the fun by killing everything, everywhere, all at once. Y'know? :3
  12. Hey Tenno! Here with what might be an unpopular opinion: I hate Thermal Sunder. To be clear, there's not really anything I actually hate about Warframe, but when I jump into Multiplayer, I'm expecting to participate in whatever mission or activity we're a part of. That's impossible with the way some players abuse Thermal Sunder. Now, mind you, only a few people I see using Thermal Sunder these days are actually Gauss players, but rather Titania with Thermal Sunder, blowing through mission after mission just spamming Thermal Sunder whilst everything disappears. The rest of the group is just left to jump around aimlessly, or try to move beyond the range of Thermal Sunder, and away from that particular team member. But, as any Tenno who has witnessed this will attest, it's a lot of work for very little reward, and often yields back-tracking to pick up things like Traces. On top of that, not only is it an obnoxious color screen when players choose bright colors for the ability, but it's also broken. If one person can kill everything in near-affinity radius, before you can even leave the starting area, it kills the fun and really just cheeses these levels. My suggestion, ultimately, is to Nerf the Range/Damage of Thermal Sunder for Helminth. Leave Gauss' Thermal Sunder alone, but nerf or change the ability for other Warframes to have. I wouldn't complain about how other players play, but when I don't get to play because some jerk is spamming TS for the Focus or the Funsies, it kills my desire to play with others. If I could just exclude the "RUN AND DONE" players, I'd be happy to, but we can't. So, next best thing? *Shrug* Let me know your opinions, or if you have any solutions outside of Nerfing! I'd love to hear any way I can to avoid the Run and Done'rs. Cheers, Overcomplicaeta
