Just saw this thread and decided to test it myself.

    Start:
Personal daily standing cap at 11175/22000
    Solaris standing at 47825/99000

Set to Friends Only, I loaded into the Orb Vallis from Fortuna with no bounty started. I went hunting a Bolarola close to the elevator exit, found it and put it to sleep with a sleep arrow. It was a Spotted Bolarola and awarded me 750 Solaris standing. After that I went back to Fortuna immediately and the reward screen said I had recieved 750 Solaris standing.

    End:
Personal daily standing cap at 10425/22000
    Solaris standing at 48575/99000

Since OP hasn't yet tested on Bolarola I suppose this could be isolated to Virmink and Pobbers, or perhaps it's another problem. I'll test more later if I remember.

EDIT: I should add that this was after the latest hotfix, 24.0.9.

Interesting. I’ll have to check and see if 24.0.9 fixed the issue overall.

  2. Animals put to sleep by Ivara's Sleep arrow do not provide Fortuna Reputation.

Tested With: Ivara. Cannot test with Equinox's Sleep ability as I do not own Equinox.

Tested On: Pobbers, Virmink. Will test on Bolarola tomorrow, reputation is capped for the day today.

Additional Notes: Animals do still provide Tags, just not Reputation. Played on Solo; exited the Orb Vallis via the Fortuna elevator. Will test tomorrow if aborting the mission keeps my reputation. Reputation gain is displayed while in-mission, but upon entering Fortuna is reverted to whatever amount you gained without any Sleep'd animals.

Update: As of 24.0.10, problem is no longer reproducible. Pobbers, Virmink and Bolarola all seem to give Solaris United standing as they should, despite Sleep Arrow application. Until it crops up again, I'll consider the bug fixed.

  3. I use Limbo for Bounties. The Rift and Rolling Guard combined make me effectively invincible, Banish lets me selectively remove groups of enemies from the battlefield, and Cataclysm provides effective area defense.

I also try to destroy any reinforcement beacons I see, as that prevents most of  the more dangerous enemies from spawning.

  4. 1. It’s possible that Solaris isn’t so much a town that people live and procreate in, but rather an industrialized concentration camp for those hopelessly indebted to the Corpus. If debts are inherited, this also explains the children.

    2. Only like 1% of you needs to be organic in order for you to procreate. Having robotic heads and arms would by no means necessitate building children.

    3. Since debts are inherited, the Corpus could be incentivizing the Solaris people to procreate so that the debt gets passed on when they die. As to how, there could be any number of methods: slicing off part of your debt, reducing interest, increasing your wages, whatever.

    3. People have their mechanizations and upgrades because they’re necessary for living in Fortuna at all. “Complexity” is completely irrelevant. If you don’t get upgrades, chances are you die.

    4. The children could be just as mechanical as the adults. The Corpus might just be leaving their faces intact to exploit the adults’ parental instincts.

    5. Brain shelving is a punishment, not standard practice. The Corpus lose an unproductive worker (aka nothing), and possibly gain whatever money family/friends are willing to spend to un-shelf them.

Ok. So: With the halloween event going on, Earth is unbearably convoluted with nodes and crap. There's never been more of a reason to implement the "one-environment-tileset-mission-icon".
Earth is currently a clustermuck. It's horrible. If you don't feel that way, you're lying. You're a liar. Or in severe denial.

    A) They added a whopping 3 nodes that are all completely disconnected from the Star Chart. If anything, this is a step closer to your vision.

    B) You sound like an insane person. You keep saying, over and over and over again, without a hint of irony: “I know I’m right” “I know what’s best” and when literally everyone disagrees you go full Thanos, ignoring any counter arguments to just state your point again and say “I know I’m right, why won’t anyone agree with me?”.

We read your point like 5 times. We understand exactly what you want. The mental image is clear. We don’t want it.

The sun would be better suited as a place for tryhards to get their hyperchallenge rocks off and people who complain about the difficulty get banned.

Level 100000 enemies. All Nullifiers. Permanent radiation proc. No revives. Rewards a mod that gives you +1000% all stats and makes you status immune, but only 0.01% droprate with credits as alternate reward. Defense mission, 20 wave intervals and an Operative to defend instead of a pod/relic.

Mercury isn't even that hot to begin with, the hottest one is Venus and we didn't(nor the enemy) even break a sweat building bases on the planet, so the only real challenge is to get close to the sun.

Would like to see if any frame can walk on the sun

Do you... do you know what the Sun is?

OP the moment you Expressed you lost the battle against tons of white knight dog guards DE have earned.

It’s almost like the majority of the people who play Warframe and hang around on the Warframe forums enjoy Warframe or something. Weird.

    To the OP:

Spy missions can suck if you don’t understand how they work. I suggest playing a lot of them in Solo and/or watching some of the plethora of guides online.

  9. Dude, no. One tileset per planet is garbage and compromises lore, demolishes any sense of scale or environmental storytelling, and makes every planet aesthetically boring.

Furthermore, I like the lines. They’re nice, flowy, and tell us exactly what we need to complete to unlock various areas. Making the mission select screen literally be a drop-down menu would take away the unique aesthetic flavor that the Star Chart currently has and turn it into Microsoft Excel But With Gun’s.

However nidus is designed for almost the complete opposite he tanks the hits and uses his 1 to kill stuff in a line while maintaining/increasing energy with his 3 providing a temporary safe zone-esque effect allowing his health to regen while still killing plus his passive uses 15 stacks of the counter thing to basically stop him from getting downed (i barely use his 2 but its decent for extremely short range and duration incapacitation of enemies making it usefulish on defense but its nothing compared to limbos 4 and 2

Off-topic to the thread but... what? Larva has a 12 meter base radius and Nidus has no reason to equip Narrow Minded. That is nowhere near “extremely short range”.

It has a lot to do with nostalgia, it used to be the go to beam weapon in Dark Sector PVP.

I don’t think nostalgia has much to do with it. The Synoid Gammacor has high status, high crit, pinpoint accuracy, good damage and gives you free energy just for having it equipped. Giving it Corrosive damage means that it scales indefinitely against both Shields and Armor.

Is it the best secondary? No. But it is one that has earned its fanbase.

Did they specifically mention it was a 1:1 conversion? Even then, having one target deal Tigris Prime-enhanced base damage still means you only have one unit doing this, which still severely limits the damage she can deal through it. In the end, it's still a band-aid change that does little to address the concerns and requests players had with the ability, which is that mind-controlling one (1) single unit, and not even being able to properly direct them, isn't exactly the fullest realization one can expect from a mind-bending frame, one whose fantasy is ostensibly meant to involve bending entire armies to her will (and no, Chaos does not provide the fine-grained control one would want from Mind Control either).

I agree that not being able to control where your Mind Control target goes is a major hindrance to the ability. Perhaps they could make tapping 1 place a marker for the enemy to defend and holding 1 dismiss the Mind Control. Any more precise control would be pointless: if you can mark enemies for your MC to shoot, then you can just as easily shoot them yourself.

Having a unit with a fully automatic rifle do Tigris Prime damage means that your damage output will be more than doubled, since they won’t have the issue of reloading every 2 seconds like the player does, nor the damage falloff. As long as the enemy is shooting at all, they’ll be outdamaging you ((assuming a 1:1 damage in:out ratio, which I’ll admit they haven’t specified).

Unless a single mind-controlled opponent can be made literally well over seven times stronger, the ability's still going to feel more like an inconvenience than anything else.

The rework ideas sound promising, I’ve only some concerns with the kit:

    • Mind Control’s buff is based on damage absorbed. Will this affect the Mind Controlled target when Nyx is in her Absorb state? Does the Mind Controlled target have to sustain damage in that brief 4 second window (plenty of time, btw)? Or is it reliant on Nyx actively taking damage? Need to see it in order to call out on it.

I swear it’s like nobody in this thread who’s criticizing the rework actually watched the Devstream before saying that DE is wrong.

They outright stated in very simple terms how Mind Control will work. You use the ability, you pour as much damage as possible into the target for 4 seconds, and then that damage is added to the enemy’s base damage. Considering that an unmodded Gorgon is about as strong as a level 70 Heavy Gunner, obviously this will make them significantly more than 7x stronger.

I see the proposed rework just doesn't address any of her real problems.

Her 1st controls an enemy however you have no control over its behavior. It's very unreliable as damage output even with the augment. The proposed rework is supposed to increase the damage which is rather meaningless for 2 reasons - mob damage is always negligible as Nyx herself can deal very high damage with good weapons, also, the damage absorb relies heavily on RNG coz it requires your enemies to target your minion, which is not likely to happen if you cast Chaos too where enemies will be busy shooting at each other. DE need to increase the threat level of controlled foe so that it will be the prioritized target of mobs.

Her 1 is terrible and unreliable damage now, but it will be excellent damage after the rework (provided the enemy has not-godawful accuracy). This is because the phrase that I bolded in your quote is objectively wrong. That isn’t how her 1 will work. The damage your mind controlled enemy does will be based on the damage that you pump into it, not the damage that other enemies deal to it, which invalidates both of your complaints. I will agree that higher enemy aggression on the Mind Control target would be nice, though - keep your enemies shooting him and not you.

    1 hour ago, Marvelous_A said:

Her 2nd targets random enemies coz you have no direct control over the targeting, much like Shurikens. Temporary removal of shields and armors are rather insignificant effect in this game - while they're indeed powerful, you can only target 2 foes at a time and we are talking about 10-20 foes charging at you at the same time in a high level mission and all of them are capable to one-shot you.

Her 3rd makes enemies shoot at random people but we don't want this, we want them to shoot at someone that's not one of us and that's why Chaos is a mediocre CC at best. It's a shame they aren't going to make any change of Chaos, I'd like a accuracy debuff considering it's pretty bad in damage output anyway at least they're less likely to hurt our teammates.

Her 4th is ok-ish but it's essentially invincibility in cost of mobility with mediocre damage potential. I'd prefer a shield myself.

While her 2 doesn’t target completely random enemies, it is difficult to control who gets affected and these points are all fairly valid.

The Stalker and Hunhow meeting wasn't an actual vision we the Tenno got (I don't think we even could get visions at that point) . And I see no reason to attribute the War Within intro to him since he was still being held back by Rell at that point in time. We actually can't attribute anything to the MitW before Chains of Harrow because of that. The only ones he could have had a part in are Apostasy, Sacrifice, and Chimera, and seeing as how there's only evidence linking him to Chimera, we have no reason to assume Apostasy or Sacrifice was him, especially considering the in-game implication that it was the Lotus for the Sacrifice, and that we can trigger visions ourselves a la War Within to explain Apostasy.

I see no reason not to attribute TWW to MitW. Rell might be holding him back, but he sure as hell couldnt stop him from literally possessing us in that very same quest, regardless of whether or not we drank the Kuva. If MitW can bodysnatch us while Rell is holding him back, it stands to reason that he granted us the visions in the first place.

The Lotus no longer exists when the Sacrifice hits, therefore it can’t be her. MitW could very well just be using our memories of her to send us a message, just like he’s known for doing with our father. His catchphrase, “Hey kiddo,” is him repeating a phrase that our father said once.

Furthermore, if MitW is a manifestation of the Void itself like some think he is, it’s perfectly plausible that all visions and void powers come directly from him.

NEW PASSIVE: Misfire -- enemies can't seem to truly target Nyx and all receive an accuracy debuff against her.

she still get oneshot, passive is worthless

    • MIND CONTROL: Target will absorb any damage done to it 4 seconds after cast. The amount of damage absorbed then increases the output damage of the target.

WORTHLESS in a one shot kill game.  dead mobs can't do more damage.

    • PSYCHIC BOLTS: This ability is completely being redone. All enemies hit lose defenses (armor/shields) for a short duration. Infested units will be slowed, in addition to the deactivation of any infested auras.

one faction and pointless if i want to slow infested i will use the aura.

    • ABSORB: The math and potentially damage type is being changed. No other details outside of that! .

Nerf to damage from absorb, only a mron forgets the last 3 years of nerfs and expect this tow ork out for the better of playres.

Passive: you may get instagibbed by enemies, but it will happen less often. Not good, not worthless. About in line with other passives.

Mind Control: You literally don’t know what you’re talking about. You can’t kill a Mind Control target. Giving a friendly Heavy Gunner one-shot damage is fantastic.

Psychic Bolts: You literally didn’t even read the ability. It affects all factions, not just Infested. It just also slows Infested. Also, be honest: you never use that Aura. Nobody uses that Aura. Shedding armor and slowing an enemy is useful. Probably should just be a 25 Energy ability though.

Absorb: It’s garbage magnetic damage. Absorb is already literally the worst. It isn’t possible to meaningfully nerf it, therefore the most likely outcome is a buff.

You sure its gonna be the same damage? or just some default

btw i meant she is only able to mind control 1 enemy, not 7 like rev

I know what you meant, and my Chaos point still stands. Furthermore, Revenant’s 7 enemies will be way, way weaker than Nyx’s 1.

The way they talked about it in the Devstream I’m reasonably certain it will be the same damage.
