I encountered this issue with a NVIDIA 2070 Super. The card supports DX11 and my Proton version includes DXVK and DX11, yet the same "DirectX 10 is not supported" error in launcher. I solved this by downgrading my Proton version, checking each version until one worked. The cause was that I am using an older NVIDIA driver and DXVK ended support for my driver version. Switching proton versions as suggested was the solution for me. My current versions that work: Linux: 5.15.94 Nvidia: 470.82.00 Proton: GE-Proton7-26

I hope this helps anyone with problems. I was struggling with the same issues in this thread, I was stuck on the Launcher Action Set. This happened when I attempted to connect to my already running game (I started the game on my PC, then Connected with my Steam Deck in-game). When I launched the game through my Steam Deck (press Connect on Steam Deck to then start the game on my other PC), the action sets were chosen correctly and I was able to play. My host PC's platform is Linux.
