For me the same as for many other players, i relinked my accounts twice now, but didn't get neither the reactor nore the helmet, although twitch says both items are claimed. For the reactor there is also still this claim button, butt pressing it shows only the red faillure message on top. Reading the thread, I figure the whole thing doesn't really work now.

edit: Ok, now I'm confused. Without doing anything both items just popped up

There's often an hours long delay between triggering a drop and delivery.

This is not more user friendly at all, why change it so we manually have to claim the drop where as before it was automatic, I don't understand why you would make this change, from automatic to manual and claim it to be better and more user friendly its not. automatic is better.

Read the thread. As of 2/21 the old system stops working. Two options exist, adopt the new system or stop getting drops.

It's still essentially automatic too btw, you do not need to manually trigger the claim during a stream. It will automatically go to your twitch inventory after 30 consecutive minutes at which point you can claim it at your leisure.

Now comes a noob question... Drops function on all platforms or it's just the platform that's streaming at the moment? Like we can claim drops from all streams?

    Works on all platforms.
It doesn't matter if Switch gameplay is steaming and you're on PC. So long as you're tuned into the stream and your WF+Twitch accounts are linked, you get the drop. You won't need to watch PS4 specific streams to claim rewards on your PS4 account.

Honestly am not a fan of this development. The Wednesday stream is pretty early for me and this means instead of getting up, turning on the stream, and going back to bed, I now have to actually stay up and manually claim the drop. I'm sure I can get used to it, but still wish this wasn't a thing

No you do not. The manual trigger is optional to claim the drop at it's earliest availability. You can still AFK the stream and claim it from your inventory at your leisure.

"IF you miss this popup and don’t claim it within chat, you can go into your Twitch Inventory section and it will be waiting there for you to claim: https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory  "

Hello there, I have a question, if I have two accounts (one on pc and one on switch), am I able to get the drops on both accounts if I use the same twitch account or do I have to use a different account for each one?

You can only link one WF account to one Twitch account.

how about us who watch the streams from our phones?

There's no change. Watch the stream and after 30 minutes, the drop will be added to your Twitch inventory for you to claim at your leisure. The manual trigger is an optional method to claim it at it's earliest availability.

Sometimes I have to do other things so I put the stream on then rewatch it later.

    That method will still work.

The manual trigger is just an optional way of claiming the reward as soon as it become available to you. You can still AFK it and claim the item from Twitch inventory at your leisure.

Due to all the people that don't want to claim it manually, could you add a setting to claim the drop automatically like before?

    It's still virtually automatic.

You can manually trigger the drop once your individual timer hits 30 minutes.

    -OR-

You can AFK for at least 30 minutes at which point all you have to do is claim it from your Twitch inventory. It's been said already that the Twitch inventory does not expire. You are not required to manually trigger the drop in order for it to show up in your Twitch inventory

That manual trigger just saves you from having to watch the stream for longer than required to get the drop which will save time and data.

Why do you guys have to screw up a good thing? You have forums for a reason. Ask the playerbase first. Set up a pole for things like this.

It wouldn't matter if they asked the playerbase first or not. Twitch is no longer supporting the existing drop system as of Feb 21st of this year.

    https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2020/08/18/available-today-a-new-version-of-drops/

"With all the new features and improvements in this new version of Drops, we now consider the existing version a legacy product that we will no longer support after February 21, 2021. If you have a legacy Drops integration, you will still be able to create and run campaigns until then."

After Feb 21, the current system stops working. We accept that this is the new method or stop getting drops. Those are the options.

It would be nice if the drone moved faster.
Seems like a chore moving walking speed with it

That's my biggest gripe with that event regardless of whether it's in a sortie or just a bounty. The drone moves at a painfully slow pace. It would be nice if it moved faster by default or there was something that could be done to "supercharge" it.
