  1. Nowadays, I feel like there's like two big updates per year, each giving you maybe a month of playtime at best... Rest of the year is essentially just logging in for daily rewards, maybe do a couple missions here and there for stuff like archon shards and nightwave stuff, but overall it's been years since I considered Warframe my "Main game".

That said i'm kinda fine with it. You can only be super invested in a game for so long ,and while I do think they really need to make a dedicated "Live Content" team that spends 100% of their time thinking of stuff like Events, Tactical Alerts and the like while the rest of the team works on the big releases, for now it seems the team always only focuses on the big updates and leaves us with recycled systemic stuff in between big updates.

It's just hard to get excited when the only thing happening is reruns of Plague Star / Fomorian / Razorback / Ghoul Purge / Thermia Fracture / Nightwave Meow Mix Volume 69.

Again, It's cool to come back , play pretty intensiely for like a month when let's say Duviri comes out, but after that you know there's like 7 months with the game being essentially dead.

Like I'm really looking forward to the Whispers in the Wall update, but I have a feeling it'll keep me occupied for like two weeks, then we'll get an "Echoes" update a month later giving us maybe a couple more weeks

  2. I think he's referring to the fact that you have to wait for the daily reset to get a new simaris contract. I'll admit it's a little annoying, especially if you forget to turn it in before the daily reset and you end up having to wait 24 hours for the next reset because of this... I often forget to cash in my completed contracts and then the daily reset comes and I'm like "Doh".

Kinda wish you could just chain them back to back if you feel like it... Or at least accept the next one even if it's on cooldown so you don't have to do two trips to simaris.

It's a Clan research. Done with mulitple players. Not meant to be done in a day. Or a week. If you start now with 20 members doing 10 hours a day EVERYDAY, you'll get the research done in 3 months.

Rofl, seems reasonable indeed... Have twenty people work a full-time job + two hours every day a week for three months running the same tileset over and over... Fun times !

Meanwhile I can't even get anyone from my clan to contribute any color fragments or cryotic.

  4. Not a huge fan for a few reasons:

1 - It was already slow and tedious to get the three colored shards, especially considering there's 55 different frames each needing 5 of these things.  That's like 255 shards.

2 - It was even harder to get tauforged shards.

3 - Now they want us to basically destroy two of our existing charge to create a new one, leading to people buring their hard earned current shards to make the new ones.

4 - Finally unslotting shards costs tons of bile and now it's likely most people that were heavily invested in the system will have to waste tons of ressources removing their old shard to make place for the new ones.

Kinda wished there were their own things... Different shards you slot in their own slots...

  5. Still don't understand why they don't save progress every round to this day. They know they have shoddy netcode that keeps failing to do host migration properly, everyone's constantly pissed about losing hours because of circumstances out of their controls like enemies not spawning or objectives never completing and frankly, it feels plain mean to penalize an entire squad that managed to survive for like two hours because one round at the very end glitched and they were unable to finish it correctly.

Plus let's face it way more people would actually stay longer in endless mission of they wasn't the constant stress of losing all progression. I can hardly ever go beyond like wave 6-7 in circuit because people start to fear disconnects / host migrations / bugged controls / the pod getting destroyed, etc...

If I survive for 30 minutes in a survival ,then die at 34, give me the rewards I earned till 30 minutes and forfeit the last four minutes... How hard is that...

  6. I mean they had years to give these frames Exalted Weapons, but they didn't instead letting us invest time and effort into stat stick rivens and builds.

Honestly what's the point of riven even existing if the best wepons get crappy disposition, the new weapons get crappy disposition, and now the stinkers with best disposition can no longer be used as stat sticks... Not sure I like the change. Having all our existing stat stick rivens become useless overnight and having wasted tons of catalysts and formas on these weapons for nothing kinda sucks, especially since we'll have to forma the new excalted weapons too... Not a big fan.

Plus let face it this will probably be a nerf since you'll lose access to rivens on these exalted weapons.

  7. Honestly it's a minor issue for most people involve. TBH the only people that have it super rough are people actually playing old gen consoles and the keep being matchmade with SSD next gen ppl that load back into their ship and have already loaded the mission before they even managed to get back to their orbiter... But there's very little they can do about this tbh.

  8. Hard to anticipate exactly what is going to happen, but it's probably not the best time to buy stuff or try to speculate on prices.

    • PC currently has lower prices and more offers.
    • Consoles have higher prices and less offers currently.

Thus logically you'll have even lower prices and even more offers after the merges, so it's probably not a good time to buy anything right before a huge influx of new items on the market that will have to compete with the PC's lower prices.

Thus yeah, personally I think liquidating makes more sense than investing right now. Make your plat now since it'll probably be harder to make some after the changes.

  9. Probably... They'll drop the trailer on the 7th, and they have to hit the release date pretty close since they need to be available for at least a couple hotfixes before leaving on Christmas vacations... So best case scenario we get it on the day of the game awards, and worse case scenario I doubt the would release latern than the 14th at the latest.

And since cross-save is coming with the update, they will probably flip the switch pretty quickly after stabilizing he new content , but keep it restrained. Surely they don't want to flip the switch right before the vacation and leave with an active powder keg, so I expect a small test drive to gather more data and likely them waiting for after vacations to really push it forward. That said it's possible the will allow us to log into other platforms with our accounts and start using cross-progression, but my guess is the proper merger might have to wait.

  10. I'll admit it's still a little confusing when it comes to how these items will behave.

Assuming they will still be registered on the account, only just not usable on said platform... Like your excal prime would only appear in your inventory when logging in on pc, but if you log onto ps5 afterwards you can use your obsidian skin, etc... Hopefully it will be smartly done by having a "platform lock" icon on the item but it being present in your inventory so you know you stilll have it.

Still gonna give kudos for DE on that one... The fact they even offer account merger is pretty nice, since they could have done something like force people to log into their best account and drop the other ones.

  11. I mean , doubt you can merge with an account if you don't remember the account's information.

Could be wrong , but the system seems to be simply a menu where you list all your different account on each platform (PC, Switch, Xbox, Playstation), then you select one as the "Master" account and it will basically add stuff from the other accounts into the master one and then delete them.

So yeah, really doubt you'll be able to add more than a single account per platform.

  12. Mostly annoyed that the New War gave us the ability to use Kdrives as Drifter, play the Shawzin as Drifter, The Duviri Paradox gave us a full Melee System with the Drifter... Yet all that stuff is never brought back to the main game. At least allow us to switch from Amp to Sword and Pistol combo when pressing triangle.

I get that it can be complicated to have some of the warframe sized animations fit the child models, but I personally could live with them ditching the Kid operators for good after New War if it means we get to their full potential of our Drifters in combat scenario. Just so annoying to keep cool gameplay improvements in isolated content islands.

Plus we have four ability slots for Operators, two of them being unused. You could fit the Drifter heal abiity from duviri and the smoke bomb ability there as universal abilities , and remove the Lotus guide and kaithe summon abilities when playing outside of Duviri.

  13. Still not sure why they don't simply add one more weapon per rotation instead of creating a new weekly table. Heck the current table has 5 weapons, so making it an even six would be even better since you can get two per week after all. And now they added evergreen rewards when you scroll right, so you're not even limited to the 5 items visible UX.

  14. They already made the good old  25/50/75% rebate super rare on consoles , now when you log into inactive accounts you almost always get the new 25% / 50% / 75% bonus plat on plat purchase discounts, when in the past you always would get the  25/50/75% rebates, which you could use to get Deluxe Skins for much cheaper.

Kinda sucks for vets that already have enough plat and don't really need or want to buy new plat ... Understand this makes sense from a business perspective to stealth-replace paying less for cosmetics with trying to make you spend more on the game, but it's still pretty consumer unfriendly.

And yes, I know you do still get 25% / 50% login rewards once in a blue moon still, but it's wayyyy rarer that it used to.

  15. Still pretty lame they chose Bile for this , as it's by far the hardest and most annoying of the resources to stockpile.

Personally , I would give each slot a different  associated resource.

Ex: Slot 1 is always minerals, Slot 2 Organics, Slot 3 Bile, etc...

That way players would know the costs associated with each slot and would place their "permanent" shards in slots that have the most annoying requirements like Bile. Then they would put their temp shards or shards they intend to swap with a tauforged later in slots that have a common ressource as associated cost, hereby allowing to swap them without breaking the bank.

I wouldn't place this anywhere near my "big issues" list (no implication about you involved in saying that) but I can definitely put my name on the list of people "mildly bothered" about it.

Ever since like 2017 or 2018 when I started my own dojo with an interest in the techs I was excited to see how the labs would expand and how many cool new Grineer/Orokin/Infected/Corpus/Tenno gear we'd get to research over the years....

Only for that to basically be tossed out the door entirely in favor of adding entirely new rooms that grant 1 or maybe 2 items to research a piece.

It just seems weird to me?

Like why is Dagath's crypt a necessary research hub? Why wasn't Dagath put in the tenno lab and the crypt made a vanity/horse room?

Like, that serves a purpose still- why does it have the tech associated which leads to required dojo reconstructions like those listed above?

I just don't get it. And the aforementioned concern at how little attention the ventkid room got is very relevant in my eyes.

If they are going to keep adding such ridiculously specialized rooms, at least add purpose to them. Just as you said, add evergreen stuff, or add more "relevant" stuff over time (like they seemingly decided to stop doing for all labs).

Why isn't the Ventkid lab updated with some new researchable scrawls every couple months?

It's gotten 3 since launch. Why? Why isn't the skateboard room about skateboards? Why does it instead research Yareli (why??) and a random weapon (why wasn't the ghoulsaw in the grineer lab???)???

Anyways I'm adding nothing to the discussion, just parroting mild wonders.

I think the base labs should be where tech goes because we literally have every possible research "type" except sentient classified by those base labs.

Vanity rooms aren't bad, why wasn't the Dagath crypt one?

And since we have the Ventkid/Dagath rooms, why are they tied to frames and weapons AT ALL when one could be a ton of cosmetic skateboard stuff and the other could be a ton of cosmetic horse stuff. That grants it a purpose but a heck of a lot less necessity for every dojo to make them and then immediately forget about them.

Strangest thing about the Ventkids lab is it doesn't make much sense... Did we like kidnap the kids from Fortuna to make them hang out alone in a room with no adult supervision in our dojo ? Are those supposed to be different Ventkids,  or the same ? Why isn't the stuff from the Ventkids lab simply added to the Ventkids Shop ?

Again I supposed i'm looking too hard into this since every relay has the same people in them even though they are different locations, and Clem is literally at three places at once (In Iron Wake's Fort, Next to Darvo in Darvo's Shop and in the Steel Meridian Room as a medaillon recovering NPC... And on multiple different relays at once too.

  17. Personally I don't mind having new rooms, think it's always cool, even though I'll admit they should make rooms that have more purpose than "Holding a single frame you craft once".

Real issue though is the fact they keep making rooms that look like they have regular sizes , but won't fit anywhere and won't fit next to one another...

LIke they managed to make two portals to duviri NOT fit next to one another... C'mon, those are litterally PORTALS to another room... Why can't they fit in the same space as a generator or regular lab. Did the Dagath room really need to be this big and not fit next to anything since it's basically two interaacts in a big empty crypt. Did the Crimson Branch need to be this huge room that litterally will not fit anywhere.

It's one thing to have to design a workable dojo layout where you plan spaces for future expansions, but when the new rooms don't fit anywhere and you have to reshuffle building ten tims to get a working layout, it's a big problem. Thankfully I use the DojoCad website for dungeon planning, but if it wasn't for it telling me when two rooms are going to fit or not, I would probably spend literally months redoing every single layouts.

  18. Just remove the need to clear planets and junctions to access main quests and having them just unlock essentially back to back would essentially solve everything. Just give the built Necramech  or the Rusted Snake Necramech in Heart of Deimos, make the building railjack quest less tedious and make it a main quest and have people chain the main quest back to back without having to clear the starchart... And maybe allow new player to play the newest content directly without any prequisites with some borrowed equipment if they feel like joining their friends in the new content.

What I hate the most about pay to skip is that it will be a recurring thing too, like every upgrade, you'll get reminders that you could be skipping more grind by paying... And eventually, it also sets the precedent that older story content isn't that important anymore... Until they start to pull old content out because it's "too much work to maintain" and "people pay us to skip the old stuff nowadays"... Reallly slippery slope, then we end up with some abomination like Destiny 2 where 80% of the old content is vaulted and they offer you light level skips to catch up with old players.

  19. Honestly, I don't really like where this is going at all...

Like, I get the idea that it can be hard to get into Warframe and get new people to stick around to catch up on anything, but the solution isn't to force people into paying to be able to play the new content... Putting a cost on this seems super greedy... If you really intend on pursuing this, at least make the option free.

Honestly, it would be alot more respectful of the fanbase and preserving of the experience of playing the story to do the following:

    • Make an exception where the player can play the newest content with zero prequisites whenever a new update just dropped. Just give a warning that the player may get spoilers and use "borrowed" equipment and gear they don't get to keep. New War already did this with the Paracesis, they temporarily give you one during the quest if you don't own it, and it's gone by the end of the quest... That way , people see the cool new content, they can play it immediately, then they can catch up with the older core quest after experiencing the new quest and the new gamemodes.
    • Just allow player to "borrow" the snake necramech and maybe the recovered Tempestari briefly in the new war for the like five minutes segment that actually requires an unmodded necramech railjack... And if your intention is to keep having Archwings / Necramechs / Railjacks as mandatory for new quests in the future, then give crappy  starter version at the start of the game to players.... I mean we already have the Snake Necramech, the Recovered Tempestarii, so just add a Rusted Archwing and call it a day...
    • Remove all starchart clear requirements from main story quests so you can play the core story missions essentially back to back. That way the players can experience the full core story and catch up super quick. Leave side quests as unlocks by junctions...  maybe... if you really need to... Or just unlock all side quest the second you get up to date with the main quest (just so people don't get distracted by them. Honestly most of my friend quit warframe because they get bored clearing the starchart to access the cinematic quests, or they get distracted into mid or somewhat bad side quests like howl of the kubrow . Like i'm constantly pushing my friend to clear the nodes and get to Second Dream / War Within / New War cause I can't really play with him or discuss anything with him before he catches up with the spoilers.
    • Maybe streamine the starchart so it has less nodes cause it's super tedious to clear and essentially deserted nowadays. Do we really need like 25 missions per planet, with often multiple repeating missions on the same planet ? It actually hurts the new player experience since most of these coop nodes are deserted and it's super hard for new players to solo a four man interception , disruption ,etc... Part of the reason people quit is because it's super tedious without a friend to unlock all planets to even get the quests unlocked to begin with. Heck, I personally think the starchart could probably go and be replaced by a small amount or rotating nodes on each planets imho... With the most active current nodes like Hydron getting permanent nodes.
    • If you still , after all these changes, want to have a big "Skip all the cool stuff button", well , make it free , reversible and basically just an unlock of every planet / story quest / gamemode...

Also worried because even with the huge backlash you guys got for the Heirloom packs, you still seem like you're planning to sell more of those abominations, and now you're turning the main game into a pay to catch up game like Destiny 2, which I quit because it didn't respect it's playerbase, and I have a gut feeling you'll do the usual of just shipping the unpopular thing anyway but try to bribe people into accepting it by like throwing a couple cosmetics and regal aya in there to pretend it's something else entirely other than a glorified paid timeskip.

Also, don't you guys try and push buying Tennogen with real money on consoles ! Parity doesn't mean console players get shafted... Worse case scenario, allow purchase with both... But don't you dare trying to remove our ability to buy tennogen with plat we earned through trade.

  20. Really hard to tell for now since we know next to nothing about it. Would be pretty cool if DE at least made human versions of 8 original frames, and allowed you to play them in the new content. Not expecting them to have time to make 1999 era skins of all the warframes.

Again , hard to tell for now if it's some kinda of hallucination / dream / an actual flashback of sorts or just a wierd meta reference to dark sector... Just hope it's not a big retcon that makes everything we experienced so far a dream or something.

What's a little wierd Excal is already pretty much the only frame where we know exactly his origins, so if he's the only playable character in 1999, are we taking about a retcon ? Or maybe umbra and regular excalibur have different origins... Confusing.
