  1. N. O.

While I love my severely OP rivens, the simple fact that Rivens were ever implemented has resulted in what is essentially hardcore power creep and elitism on crack - either you have top tier rivens for the meta weapons, or most assembled teams/clans will give you the finger and throw you out wholesale.

  2. We all know Ember is in a bad place. She still mulches low lvl nodes at max range, while even Hildryn outright steals half her kit with Haven at higher tiers. GG NO RE.

Most rework ideals tend to be grand, replacing most of her kit and generally changing her to be entirely different, but what I propose is a tweak that retains Ember's basic playstyle while fixing the atrocious issues she and those around her face. So:

    Passive:

Ember's passive is absolutely worthless if she doesn't toggle WOF on getting procced, and outlasts its proc when she does. That's not a very good design, and it does little for the rest of her kit. In addition, she's a squishy frame already.

    My suggestion:

Heat procs do no damage to Ember, but instead regenerates her health and shields by 15? per second. This fits with her 'firechicken' appeal, as to insinuate she's got something in common with a certain avian variety of the self resurrecting fire type. Oh, and maybe have her grow freakin' FIRE WINGS when heat procced. Theme, DE. Theme!

    Fireball:

An actually somewhat mildly useful ability. Toss fire at target, guaranteed heat proc. Leaves a fire patch. The charge mechanic though is worthless. If anything, a held shortrange guaranteed proccing flamethrower would allow her to throw heat procs left right and center. This will come in handy with further changes. Leave augment as is. Maybe rename to something appropriate for a dual ability like that.

    Accelerant:

Her force multiplier and panic CC. As we all know, the heat proc cc is completely unreliable - so lets borrow a mechanic to fix it - The slow effect on Nova's Molecular Prime: Apply 50% of that for 6 seconds on target. Ditch the self-buffing 50% casting speed if necessary. Leave augment as is.

    Fireblast:

Oy vey. The expanding fire wave is fine as it procs heat, though it's damage might need a buff? The ring left on cast is garbage, ditch it and it's "shoot through me for bonus damage". In it's stead, have the ability self-proc Ember to trigger her passive, at the cost of a 6 second cooldown. Rename it Phoenix or something appropriate, and voila. Ember now has some self-sustainability. Augment is.. Redundant. MAYBE change it to strip armor from targets instead. Could use a new anim, as it shares it's current cast anim with World on Fire.

    World on Fire:

Hi, I'm Hildryn, the NEWEST FRAME. My 3, Haven, performs somewhat similarly to low level enemies, only mine obeys LOS which prevents it from being even half as stupid.

Yeah.. Ditch the overheat range reduction, or nerf it to half. THEN APPLY LOS REQUIREMENT FOR WORLD ON FIRE'S TARGETING. Seriously, in any mission node not FORTUNA/PLAINS this reduces her 'murders everything' power in low level missions while keeping her range and WOF AUGMENT potential viable.

For further fun, note how I mentioned Fireball and Fireblast doing heat procs? Yeah, let's put that to use by making Ember exploit heat procs. Strip heat proccing from WoF, but make WoF hitting heat procced enemies either do something nice, like, stripping armor, or doing double damage, or expose them to 50-100% extra damage from non-heat damage types for all players for a short duration.

This adds further synergy to her kit, specializes WoF's augment, and further increases her ability to scale what is arguably the weakest element in the game into something useful.

    So... Thoughts?

  3. In the Chimera update, the Arca Plasmor projectile was revamped. However, the revamp is a bit.. Inconsistent.

    Behold:

    The effect, in slow motion.

So what am I hitting here? The wall, or the floor to the far left? The Sonicor-style explosion can EASILY trigger on little more than air during a fight, while the rest of the projectile effect can be missed in the resulting particle spam. It doesn't help that the Sonicor explosion causes the adaptive exposure graphics setting to freak out for a moment.

The only upside to this unneeded graphics change is that apparently the Plasmor shot can now bounce off surfaces, so .. that's a thing.

  4. Ah yes, THIS issue again.

Once upon a time, the Pyra Syandana's energy color was a perfect match, in effect and style, to the Silva & Aegis weapon and Ember Prime's mohawk helmet.

then, in early 2016, it was silently changed to this: Youtube link - Me toiling around in the Arsenal

As you can tell, when picking the darkest color in the SMOKE palette, Ember Prime's mohawk will effectively cease to exist, as will the flames on Silva & Aegis.

However, the energy effect on Pyra Syandana, and Pyra Sugatra, will ALWAYS be partially white - and WILL be amplied by HDR, Bloom and lens glare effects, easily becoming a blinding smear on your screen. It's only negated in the above video thanks to the brightly lit arena.

It's a visual discrepancy between cosmetics that doesn't need to be there, and effectively makes the Pyra Syandana a barely usable eyesore that requires reducing your graphics settings to overcome.

  5. On the contrary, the sonicor-style addition to the effect is directly misleading, 'popping' on practically anything often right in your face, despite your shot clearly hitting targets further downrange.

In other words, half the time you're treated to a particle shower at point blank range even when you're really hitting targets at 15~ meters.

    People (Moderators and streamers)

Behold my absolute lack of sympathy given I don't growel for a bunch of self-obsessed kids with capture cards that will drop this game in a month from now and as such am not privy to the shenanigans their overreacted footage creates.

I asked a simple question about about something happening, and was suspended for it, without notice of such even.

  7. It has now been TWO YEARS, and still not a single word on this from DE.

I mentioned this in the update threads for about a dozen or two updates, and nothing. Considering this is a piece of accessory you can very much have spent REAL MONEY on, the absolute silence is a bloody disgrace.

And the icing on the cake? The Pyra Prime syandana, which you would expect to use the exact same material or effect given it has the same 'fire' protrusions? Looks fine.

Oh, and what do I get for saying "FIX the Pyra Syandana. It's been TWO YEARS." on region chat?

Suspended. Thanks for nothing DE. Have a downvote on Steam.

  8. It didn't back before 18.12 at any rate. As you can see in the last picture, when using the same dark blue color (farthest left 7th row in classic saturated), both Ember Prime's mohawk and Silva & Aegis match. The Pyra Syandana used to do so also.

And the worst part about it, is that when you disable Bloom, you still get the pure white splotches as seen in the second last pic.

  9. Reviving this ancient but still not fixed topic;

In update 18.12.0, whatever effect was used for the energy-based fire effect on the PYRA SYANDANA was changed, without any notice whatsoever.
Before this update, the syandana would match, if using the same energy color, with Ember Prime's mohawk, as well as with Silva & Aegis.

After this update, however, regardless of what energy color used or Bloom intensity set, the brightness of the syandana's effect always tops out at pure white - and one that causes screen glare at that.

Here are pictures from BEFORE the update:

    ARTPBSv.jpgWarframe0720.jpg

And here are pictures from AFTER the update:

    dupL30Y.gif

As you can see, this change essentially necessitates disabling Bloom and Glare altogether, or have a constantly blinding effect on your back should you choose to wear this syandana.
