  1. I'd love a place for clan mates to put kubrow and Kavat on display rather than in stasis all the time. We should have a place we can build in the dojo where they can run and play and stuff, complete with addable extras for them to play with!

  2. I'm still missing my ember and I realized frost too, I forgot he was a part of that pack too, hopefully it's just being slow...

Edit I guess I screwed up and should only be getting a frost. Didn't realize there was a standalone frost vault before the dual one

Your Ash Prime Noggle will arrive with the next console update. Sorry about that!

If you are posting in this thread and have not gotten an inbox message when you should have, the script is still running and could take some time to reach everybody.

Nice to know, and I noticed I'm missing ember as well which I got from the vault pack, is that one coming next update or is this a bug?

  4. They're cute and fun and all, but you can't really get attached the same way as other companions because if you don't like even one part, even the one that simply gives precepts, you have to scrap that one and build an all new one. Why can't we just build one body and swap out the other parts at will as long as we built them? It would let you try different setups with the same moa you've been running around the vallis with all this time, rather than tossing it aside cause the parts didn't really mesh the way you thought.

  5. Ok so I was thinking about Umbra and how in Cetus he roams free beside us like in missions. What if he was allowed to freely roam about the orbiter regardless of what frame we use, kind of like our pets? Imagine coming back from a mission and he's sitting at the market console looking at skins, looks over and sees you and gives you a wave or stops and bows to you, or having him be practicing with skiajati in the operator room, or lounging about on the couch in your quarters staring at the fish!

No disrespect but I have no free time to sit and watch a dev stream for an hour. I was not aware it was coming this week, otherwise I would have obviously waited.

Also about being called a noob, I don't know, I doubt theres anything you can do in the game that I can't, assuming you are MR 25, i'm almost 19 with my little 100D logins.
Now people want to attack me because they are not in this unfortunate spot, I'd bet plat that if they were, they would have felt like it's unfair towards them as well.

I wouldn't. I'd just blame myself for not paying attention and go keep playing and enjoying the game without feeling like I was punished by DE when it was my own fault. Man the entitlement is real...

THIS I like, but to make it NOT busted how do we have the purge work?

If its a cool down, then switching elements would be more impactful but less USEFUL because a major reason you would want to do it is on the fly on say, a void run, changing from an ancient to a corpus unit, etc. Waiting even a second, makes it so you could've just un-holstered a gun and got the job done so cooldowns are out...

But purge spam is a little crazy, maybe make it so a purge builds up after 1 breath?

    I like that idea.

Also I like your idea, can I add it? (Dont worry I wont add it as an augment).

Oh yeah, add it if you want! As for preventing spam, I'd say make it have a buildup of damage, so it could be spammed still but it will do negligible damage if you don't give it time. That way it still would be useful for procs at no buildup, and then decent damage at full buildup.

  8. The hitbox is so small, an all radiation weapon like the phantasma would wreck against these (which makes sense given the theme) but no, you're pretty much forced to use non shotgun types because you have to be super precise with a tiny hitbox like it is now. Make the whole joint the weak point so non precision weapons can still be a respectable option.

You not alone. I feel the same way. Also I don’t like how DE also through in parts from Revenant into bounties. I’m still chasing after his parts for about 3 to 4 hours a day. All I need is his chassis now & I swear to you there was times where I’ve gotten Gara helmet 3 times. I’m starting to think no one bothered to buy Revenant. I think most ppl if not everyone chose to farm him. Same with me. I usually buy the newest frames. But Revenant abilities didn’t stick out too much for me to want me to buy him.

I agree in part, they should've been a little more seperated, but in all it's not a bad system, I had gotten each part in one run each, and I usually have awful luck. Only reason I hadn't bought him was cause I didn't have the money for him at the time, as I've been in love with his aesthetic and Eidolons as a whole. He's still a little bit of a mess, but I think if the new Eidolon has abilities similar to Revenant it'll pretty much patch that little issue with them being inconsistent with the theme.

    Chroma NEEDS a rework.

But why though? You may be asking. Simple, the only buttons people use ALL the time are his 2 and his 3, and his 4 actually makes it HARDER to use his 2(cold and electric forms) and 3!

As a tank, (a self damage one too!) loosing 50% of your armor should give A LOT MORE than a 20% speed boost and a turret (something that belongs on Vauban's 2 to help round him out, but I digress, that's a discussion for another day...).

Meat of the post/the TL;DR is on the "change" parts:

Spectral Scream, give it increased innate punch through and range so that Maximized Ability Range (with mods) is like the Effigy elemental stream, maxing at about 22-24 meters.

Increase the tick rate, also, just like Ivara's quiver, it would change to: tap to change and hold to breathe. Change what you might ask? Element of the warframe. There is NO REASON that Chroma should have to get ONE element during a mission. His whole theme is adaptability, and frankly he could use the extra power in his kit,(asides from just using elemental ward and vex armor all the time with the occasional effigy he doesn't have much). Especially when his Q+Vex still just does flat damage. At the very least you need to change to enemies weaknesses, which is where the skill would come from in the new kit. This could be implemented using a similar code to concept Khora's IPS changing and on hit we know it works due to Revenant.

I am guessing some people could have issues with this idea like, Tapping to change, me no like. Or, changing elements before a mission is part of his skill or... vex armor is enough for the spectral scream! Or, what about having a passive! Just, please wait till the end of the post, maybe I can change your mind.

Change: Tap 1 to change elements, hold 1 to breathe, increased range, increased tick rate.

Elemental Ward, should obey the element on his 1 ability. Allowing it to change as well.

Change: Elemental Ward of an adapting dragon.

Vex Armor, to be honest, it had its changes, its also a aura now and recastable so it works quite well.

    Change: None.

His 4 is a good concept, but has poor execution... imagine what you SHOULD be able to do with TWO dragons breathing element together!!

Change: 10-20% more range (and 50% more width or punch through) at base and let it be affected by range mods. It is now duration based. Tap 4 to change effigy's elements. If both dragons are aiming at the same enemies, they will get the combined element on hit (to bypass other warframe's statuses). HOLD 4 to make the pelt attack an area that you aim towards. If that area is beyond its range it will move (same movement speed as Chroma) in that direction until it is in range, with or without enemies present; Doing its area of effect attack as it moves.

      Reveal hidden contents

My guess is pseudo code for the Effigy would be something like:

If Effigymove effigymovement(float range < targetdistance)

    Effigymove.towardenemy;

else if (its there change targets to it)

    else

    continue firing;

Passive: If an enemy has been afflicted with statuses, say, corrosive, heat and cold. Any element that Chroma (lets say electricity...) is combined with the first primary element type. So now said enemy in the example is taking corrosive, and Radiation and cold statuses. Because heat+electricity changed to radiation. The combined scream status is re-applied per tick of his Q. His secondary passive of gold on effigy stays and is now even easier to use because it moves to the action on command.

Change: First primary element affecting an enemy combines with Chroma's Scream element.

Other than ranges to allow him to cast better, most of the rework wouldn't need increased numbers or scaling percentages because Chromas utility and synergy (in the kit and team wide,) would go up and as a result, and provide frame usefulness through diversity and adaptability solo, or in a group.

I hope some of this happens when ever Chroma gets a deluxe skin! [DE]Pablo please!

    ]\'[

I like a lot of your ideas, however an easier thing to do is fuse vex armor and elemental ward into a single ability, and then make his 1 more like a hybrid of Equinox 1st and Ivara's quiver, where tapping lets you choose your element and then hold switches to it, releasing an elemental explosion upon changing as if he's purging the previous elemental energy from his body.

  11. So with our fellow Eidolon slayer now on console I can finally talk about him and the overall grind to get him compared to others.

On this note I'm not gonna talk about most of the base frames since they had no quest or anything attached to them, I'll mainly be talking about Khora and Umbra for comparison sake.

On one end of the spectrum you have Khora, who had no quest, and absurdly high levels of grind that are still unacceptable in my opinion. The drop chance is far too low for these parts, some of them took me doing nothing but onslaught for hours a day to get, and then add in the extra farming for the Kavat codes and you have a recipe for a living nightmare. All for a frame that we got no backstory on whatsoever, Hek we got more about the Kavat than her.

On the opposite end we have Umbra, who had a ton of backstory and a full fledged story quest and then was just given to you along with a weapon towards the end. While this was nice, I feel it's not a formula that can work with other frames really. There has to be some grind to it. It was a little too easy. I understand why they had to do it, but it was still a little too easy in my opinion (although I welcomed the not being required to wait 3 days for it to build!)

Then we have our buddy Revenant. Who hit the nail on the head for the grind aspect, just go do a handful of bounties and you likely ended up with all the parts. However, with a frame themed like this, and the story the gave us, I felt it really lacked. I get that it was a rather hasty project with most of the resources going to The New War and Fortuna and Railjack, but it felt kind of out of place given what the quest was about and what it showed. It teased the new Eidolon but gave us no real info about it. Usually things involving Sentients and such get a lot more put into them. All we know about Revenant is that he killed the Eidolon a lot and then got taken and later freed by us. There's so much left up in the air, is there still a Tenno mind in him? Is he just a blank slate that we get to build and use now? Is mind control a thing we are going to have to deal with in the fight against the new Eidolon or did time simply make him unafraid enough to risk it all?

I loved what they showed and all but I just wish there had been more to it, maybe an extra fight with a spectral version of the Eidolon after you build Revenant so he can be more at peace instead of ending it when the Eidolon lost it's hold on him. Have this be what frees him from his pain, just like we did with Umbra. Just something to give it more story wise. At this point, they could even add in extra codex stuff, like have the spectral eidolon appear on occasion while wearing the mask at night and scanning/fighting it gives you more info.

Am I alone in this thinking?

They already castrated Chroma for god knows what reason -.- It's sad to see them nerfing things or releasing unusable weapons 😞

They didn't nerf him, they fixed him. His old buff applied itself to the weapons damage after all mods and other buffs, which means that it was absolutely broken. Now it buffs the base damage before mods are taken into account, which means it's more like sticking in multiple serration mods before you put anything else in, instead of just multiplying your already insane damage numbers by 300%+

  13. I remember them saying a big reason behind changing the ui was to make it quicker and easier for consoles to get updates, yet since then updates haven't been any faster in the slightest. It's been nearly a month now and nothing new while pc has gotten tennogen round 13, revenant, and a new event. I'm fine with the wait normally, but when they flat out told us that this new ui would make it faster and easier for us to get content, and then not deliver is frustrating.

  14. I would consider myself a vet, I've got 1555 hours in mission, probably double that if you count customizing frame builds and fashion and such, been here since the January after warframe hit ps4, mr25, and am at 450 or so login days currently (I took breaks periodically due to outside circumstances).

As for minimum standards, I'd say as long as you've been somewhat active since the first year or so of it being on your system then you should be considered a vet.

It's signatory .. for lore purposes.

So are valkyr's binds. And prime bits. It sounds like you are just trying to find reasons to argue at this point. There's no valid reason to force us to wear an accessory that renders a massive chunk of our cosmetics irrelevant.

  16. 7 hours ago, (PS4)hereticSky said:

So.... Make a very specific change for what really isn't a problem for 1/50+ frames in the game? See I can drop percentages too. 🙂

Except it is a problem for all primes and the frames that have extra accessories. Can you imagine being forced to have valkyr's binds on no matter what, or the mortos bits for nekros, or the wings on dynasty chroma, etc. It's not a very specific change when it's already been done with frames that have stuff like that. Primes can toggle their prime bits with other skins, valkyr can remove her bonds, and so on, so why shouldn't Umbra be able to remove his scarf?
