i really think the ideas presented here are pretty good, BUT i disagree on the melee-part
if weapons retain their current damage-values most enemies would never see the higher parts of a combo, and those that would are heavies that will knock you down anyway, so you'd have to tweak that
on another point, what about the charge mechanic? and the glaive(prime) and kestrel, for that matter? -
I would love to be able to, while in zoom (ADS), be able to middle mouse scroll and zoom in and out at least one increment for sniper-type weapons.

On a similar note, WTF is happening on Oestrus (Eris)? Corpus were down to 28% at some point but are gradually gaining ground. They're at 52% now. Since DE supposedly made it so that the winners in invasions progressed slowly toward victory without out help, the grineer should've won by now. The invasion is 4 days old...
I suspect it was stealth changed from "faction above 50% progress towards victory automatically" to "corpus progress towards victory automatically"...
it was actually down to 0.5% for a few hours yesternight, i tracked it cuz i want those neurodes...
on the topic of the nerfs:
maybe they should give better rewards for a losing faction, aka if corpus hold a way less nodes than grineer they pay better, would be logical since they would want the assistance of mercenaries (us) to maybe turn the tide

i am not about to let this die, there is too much potential!
the whole idea of this seems to be a mentor that has ties to the tenno, possibly from their origins? a tenno who refused their betrayal and tries to lead you to the "old ways"? or maybe save you from the rather mysterious lotus? c'mon, gimme input^^

this could be really interesting, but unfortunately unaccessible to high-level players as it stands here
also, how about subsequent meetings after #2 are performed after the mastery-tests? kind of like "you did the test, but can you take me on?"
as for ideas for her final gift, how about a weapon styled as a classic katana to symbolize the tradition she upholds/remembers
