  1. Honestly that's part of why I avoid PoE as much as I possibly can. It gets incredibly grating with Lotus announcing another thing needs doing, every 5 minutes, then suddenly endless stream of Grineer out of nowhere because screw your resource gathering.

In Fortuna I can actually get stuff done without having space mom constantly nagging me, and the neighbors coming over to visit without an invitation. Unless I'm hunting, then they'll pop up just to scare off my quarry.

It would be so nice to be able to gather the bazillion PoE resources I need, keeping the threat meter down so the Grineer don't coming swarming.

  2. Personally, text authentication wouldn't be half bad.

I've had nothing but trouble with Google Authenticator on my phone, with it randomly forgetting my accounts and leaving me locked out.

I think it depends on the side of the coin you look at?

    That's 7 days, OR 140 minutes (2 hours, 20 minutes).

Why do I have to wait 7 days when it would take me less than 3 hours of pretty enjoyable bounties with friends? It's a forced wait that is frustrating and not really there for any reason other than 'Well, you can pay to skip the grind'.

It's 7 days because of daily standing caps. After you hit your cap, all the enjoyable grind in the world would net you exactly zero standing.

    The #*!% is PBR?

    The heck is PBR?

Physically Based Rendering, it's a shading model that renders the flow of light more realistically. Allowing for more realistic looking textures and environments.

In the case of Warframes, the artists were using it to redo their textures to better suit their style, instead of every frame looking like they were coated in rubberized plastic. Giving some a more cloth-like appearance while others became more metallic.

@Amazerath Thank you for the explanation. So it isn't as simple as running Mynki's scripted process, if DE even still has it.

Wondering how it's "easier to use", exactly, other than it's seemingly equivalent to the top-tier Cetus one at significantly lower standing cost.

Am curious if it's legitimately identical (in which case that's for collection and can be ignored till much later) or if it's got some advantage that the Cetus top one doesn't have. Also wondering why anyone would bother with the Cetus ones if the Fortuna one is cheaper and equivalent to top-tier (unless part of the second update is gonna be to merge down all the Cetus mining tools).

It mines slightly slower than the Nosam, making it easier to hit the marks.

Nah still been using the same old computer I used back when I use to play warframe. My specs I believe are AMD HD 7750 OC, 500w ps, 8GB ram and a AMD 6300 Six core 3.5GHz

Have you checked it? I had similar trouble just recently with my old PC, didn't think it was the PSU since it had a high output and it very rarely shut itself down. Turns out something had become faulty and eventually fried the whole system.

  7. When DE began to add PBR to the frames, weapons, and world itself, it was an exciting time. Everything we knew was getting even shinier.

I've watched as our weapons began to gleam, our surroundings became more believable, but it seems DE has stopped short with the frames and their cosmetics.

So far there are 9 frames that have not had PBR added, most of them originals, and many syandanas. I find this surprising, since DE themselves stated that they had refined the PBR into an automated process.

Frames being Rhino, Ash, Trinity, Nova, Nekros, Nyx, Zephyr, Mirage, and Valkyr.

The ram is your stutter. That's way too low for modern computer. With 8gb or ideally 16+, your performance would  improve.

That said, if you're happy how it is, then it's good enough. No need to burn money when you're already happy 🙂

Funnily enough, I forgot how much RAM I actually had, it's 8 instead of 4.

most likely not, as I didnt Change my set up and can play the Rest of the game at locked 60fps with no drops. I really believe its an Issue with Fortuna, given that warframe is a pretty good optimised game that Runs on almost every Machine

Could also potentially be video drivers, I'm still on 398.82 and getting similar performance to @Yagamilight123

  10. GTX 1060 3GB at max + TAA8X with sharpness at 2, there's some stuttering when I first step out of the elevator, but after about 10 seconds it's super smooth.

    Also using i5 7400 3.5GHz, and 8 GB DDR4 ram.

I also have DoF and motion blur off, they don't look too great with TAA enabled.

  11. So, as a Closed Beta participant. Muh Vandals.

Joke aside, there is nothing exclusive about these items. DE made no promises in any way shape or form that they would not give away frames and weapons. (besides the prime pack exclusives and Founder primes)

You also lose nothing by other people owning them. I purchased Nidus when he was released, I mained him and enjoyed every moment of it, am I upset? Nope.

All Operator dialog is silly and adds nothing for me. I have it muted.

    General:

    My warframe is strong. (stronk)

Attack us, and we will counter. (groan)

For the Lotus. (you cant make me love her)

    For the Tenno.

I will consider what I have learned from this skirmish. (you wont)

That was a close one. (It wasn't)

Transference still holding. (i like to talk to myself)

    Let's go! (wheee!)

Let's go on the offensive! (when don't we?)

    Come on! (Yeah... me!?)

We fought with honor. (I did shoot a few grineer laborers in the back though that one time)

Move and strike, we have to win this.  (spin spin spin spin)

Wonder where this goes. (the map says, another room)

Need to keep a lookout for supplies. (like that rock someone placed in this spaceship)

How big is this place? (how can they be surprised at the size of ships and bases still)

Marking Pickups: (isn't this localized to yourself, so WHY?)

    Mod found!

    Marking mod.

    Mod over here!

    Archwing:

Alright, flight system looks good. (*laughter*)

Archwing deployed! (im seeing it but not quite believing it.)

Oh... This looks fun. (cant help for feel this is a dig at the AW complainers)

    Entering underwater areas:

    I wonder what's down here.

We need to watch for aquatic targets. (yes.. YES, of course.)

    Archwing submersible deployed!

    Upon taking serious damage:

The transference makes this hurt. (in case you didn't know)

That hurts! (no, "ugh!", or *grunt* or shaky cam pain look. no, just  "that hurts")

Internals damaged, we need to watch it. (likely die before the sentence even ends)

Need to find a health orb. (a bit 4th wally here?)

We've been damaged, need to heal.

    Upon being revived:

That was close! (would be 100% better if they said, "That was closer than expected!" when you blow yourself up)

    Right, we're on our feet.

Back on your feet, warframe! (must you call them by their slave name?)

Transference resynced, watch it. (watch it me... you)

cant be bothered with the faction specific dialog. its all just as silly trying to pass on lore tidbits in the most generalized fashion over and over. Grineer are mean, corpus is greedy etc etc.

I've only heard "My Warframe is strong" , "For the Lotus" , and "We fought with honor"

When did all these others come and why have I never heard them??
