But rivens have failed were incarnon geneses succeded!

    -- snip --

I'm not really agreeing with this. While said weapon may increase in stats. The thing that hampers some of them is the way there output method turns while being in incarnon form. Feralax for example. Decent Shotgun, mid tier shotgun. Only being hampered by the amount of bullets it has and the loading method. However when it turns to it's second form, it loses all that a shotgun can offer and turns into a dual pistol, that outputs less damage that the shotgun did and only out done the dps by the amount of bullets it has. In this came the Riven outweighs the incarnon.

There are others that also suffer by this. So it's not really the saving grace as said here.

  2. I really hate how riven work at the moment. I try for a weapon that I actually own and do want. Mind you dispo is 5. 90% of the time it isn't for a weapon that I want nor own. It's neither for a weapon that I would be interested in. And the worst part of this all are those challenges that are sometimes so nerve wrecking only for the disappointment that comes after. For the last 2ish month, ever since Kingsday in the Netherlands, I have been playing warframe and cracking open rivens on a somewhat daily basis. All for a weapon that supposedly has a riven dispo of 5.  FURIS, to be exact the MK1-Variant but I have both in my inventory and have switched them around when unveiling.

50+ rivens later ever since then. None are for that weapon, are because I haven't gotten a riven for it as of yet.

Beyond the 30+ mark I started to feel disrespected. Seeing how my weapon has a dispo of 5.

Especially since some weapons seems to come more often. I have seen AKFURIS 3x, plinx 3x - I really hate that weapon since THE NEW WAR. And any kind of weapon like that in warframe. It's slow, shoots 1 bullet and isn't even that effective. Weird decision for a game that sends hordes of enemies on the player.

Back to the riven unveiling. I really wish there was a way for both the unveiling and increasing the chance to actually get a riven for the weapon that I want, without the expenditure of opening my wallet.  And don't even get me talking about the stats.

5 Disappoints for a sometimes abysmal improvement.

    The Acquisition
    The Challenges
    The Unveiling
    The Stats
    The Stash.

My Rivens experience for the last 2+ months in general:
With the amount of rivens I popped you think it would be easy to get and that I made any bank. But it took like more than 2 hours sometimes to even get my hands on a riven. And with some challenges depending on cycles of the world. Not accounting for popping of the riven through those challenges. And the fact that my stash has only space for 28 rivens. Of which around 24 are taken by rivens of weapons that I actually like and was lucky enough to acquire. This doesn't leave much space. It actually takes 4 rivens to cycle in to a new one. And hoping that that riven also turns into the type of riven that you need, adding more RNG to the already long list of disappoints.

    Acquisition:
Of all methods that are somewhat reliable I have tried for acquiring rivens. The most reliable method was Teshin. But since it actually requires me to do Steel Path, it's also the hardest, as I don't have weapons to effectively getting through a Steel Path mission. The next method, which takes the longest time in general is Palladino. This one which baffled me, as that it was more reliable method of riven acquisition than other methods in game. And that was transmutation. Trading (unwanted) 4 rivens into a new veiled one. While you actually need 4 rivens to do this, it wasn't as bad as the other methods, but still unreliable, as what you get out of it in terms of weapons is also random. Then there is also the Duviri shop, but that method is not that reliable due to the timer on the available inventory and the resources needed for the acquisition. Meaning that if I don't have the resources available at the time of going to the shop, that I might miss it entirely, because I will have to play at least 4ish - The Duviri Experience, which takes around 20 to 30 minutes to finish. Not accounting for disconnection, host connection, bugs, squad members stalling in the broadest sense. and other issues which will also at to the total time. I can attempt to do it solo. But the most unreliable part of this comes in terms of those RNG weapons. Surprisingly Sorties turned out to be the least reliable method, mostly getting ayatans.

And yes there are other methods like events, alerts and such. But none of these were actually viable in game during the past 2+ months. I had forgotten about Nibble, but that is also inventory heavy, thus another RNG element to it.

    The Challenges:
The difficulty of these challenges comes in several forms.

    1. My overall experience with said challenge. If I know what to do, because I already had my fair share of said challenge, it takes of the difficulty. But as with most of these supposedly challenges, they introduces ways that forces me to interact differently with the game, not in the this challenges me to interact with the game on a level, but not in a fun way. Due to this I'm bound to search for ways to bypass most of the challenges instead of it introducing me to really get deeper into the game mechanics to make it work. For this I will give 2 examples. The first one that actually made me interact deeper with the game was the get three headshots while gliding. According to my knowledge this was only possible with the right weapon with punchthrough, with the enemies aligning perfectly, if I attempted this on my wf as is. Then I looked at my available mods and say that there were indeed mods that increases glide time and bullet jump. Thus adding those, made this challenge a lot easier. It was time for the testing. Challenge done. The second challenge in this example was those dyrgyn pilots. you have to kill 3 to 10 before they hit the ground. Also allot of time wasted here. Waiting for day on cetus. First I have to make them spawn. Then I have to chase them and hoping that when I shoot them, it will be a clean shot through the head, instead of the shot hitting the vehicle, thus exploding, which doesn't kill the pilot but only slightly ejects and injures them. A Lot of time wasted for this challenges. Yes there are other methods or so I heard. But none of the methods made me interact deeper with the game. Just ways to clear it as soon as possible, while hoping that it never returns.

    2. Then you have challenges that are straight up bonkers due the game handling stuff and newly introduced enemies. Example one. Complete and extermination without being detected. Stalker and others continuously invading the game. As soon as that screen flashes, you know it's over no matter how far you are.  Example two. we have Eximus enemies weird abilities, these rainbow FF'rs doing stuff when they are not even in the same room. As I am. There is a wall. Example three. we have that open challenges (challenges that don't have anything setup besides what game type and can only be completed on specific tiles). Meaning that each time you have that mission, you will have to run that mission to complete it. And since some of those riven challenges love to present themselves, that all you'll be spending your time on.

    The The Unveiling:
After said challenge you get a chance to get a riven for a weapon. Dispo doesn't seem to help at all or at least do not account for the acquisition for said weapon. It's random as af. As my last 2 months experience has shown.

    The stats:
So a riven can have 4 stats, of what you want is are three somewhat positive and coherent to each other, or boosting stats that really matter for a weapon. Mostly flat damage or crit. However most rivens roll in terms of 2 stats, some three stats if ever, and here and there four. All the while trash stats or not relevant stats for a weapon. And more than often also abysmal raises if any good. More than often way beyond the 10+ roll to finally to be able to see something along that actually matters. And I'm not even mentioning God rolls. Those are nigh impossible. The only redemption rivens actually have is that they are capable of replacing required mods for something else, so that you can have more utility with said weapon. But otherwise meh ...

    And then comes the stash:
I have x amount of place for my rivens. Which is okay. I'm not really complaining. The thing really comes with how this system works, where I wish it was handled differently. Especially those rivens which I don't need nor want but holds a place in my inventory so that I can transmute them.  THere should be a transmutation placeholder in game that doesn't account towards my riven inventory. It should be a permanent thing like once you place a riven in it, you can't get it back. So that players can't use this as an extra placeholder. Since the amount of trash (unwanted) rivens are high, this should be at least considered.

So why haven't I made money on rivens.
    * because it takes a long time to acquire them, let alone account of said riven to be wanted enough for someone else to have, and that they are also willing to pay a decent price. And since WF doesn't have a good way that doesn't waste my time to sell stuff. I would rather not sink any more time into it, than it's actually worth it. Also I'm not a teen anymore that have that much time on my hands. Unless WF changes the player market trading, I won't interact with it, unless it's something that I want and see by coincidence that another player wants something which I'm willing to part with.

It is not a mystery. The whole point with the Riven system is to give _unpopular_ weapons a boost. It is/supposed to be an automated way of balancing existing weak weapons.

And popular weapons are generally sustainable high DPS weapons, as in "overpowered" weapons. So they do not need the Riven boost for balance. Sometimes weapons are greatly overpowered and DE go in a change the weapon directly.

I know this post is 1 year old.

But even that is meh. Trash weapons don't get gud because they have a riven in it. They only get somewhat better if that riven is a Godroll, which is not a lot of the time TBH. Even when its a random riven roll for a weapons that I don't have nor even wanted to ever be unveiled.

And this is not just my solely my opinion only, just check the ingame trade chat. It's so rare for a weapon to even roll good stats that they are being sold for +500 plat for the cheapest. For better weapons, +1k plat for the cheapest.

Also while rivens are eventually said by the devs to be 'balancers', when they were released, they were released as this thing that could elevate any weapon. AFAIK, the whole community took as a tool to make great weapons even greater, without a second look to MR FODDER.

While dispositions are a thing to support the devs side, it doesn't make it better to guide / suggest the person in possession of riven, that it is for a MR FODDER weapon, especially when said weapon is not in possession or the veiled riven is put inside a preferable weapon, rather than said MR FODDER, besides the game throwing an unveiled riven for a random weapon at you, more times than not. In the end it becomes more of a gamble gimmick used to make the preferable weapon even better and the outcome just (a tad) frustrating, sometimes more often than not.

So no, I do not believe the devs way of saying that rivens are for balancing the game, while the outcome is clearly lacking the evidence that it does. Especially when most of the weapons can't even handle the content. Also don't point at weapons that need +5 forma's to even do what a non forma weapon can do. This is not a point about effort, but of finite resources, even my time and patience are. To invest and find out that my weapon is still trash or that it's getting nerfed due to many reasons and never to be looked at again, even when the content is eventually caught up to the what seemed to be way over the top damage back then.

Especially when the concept of the game itself build around the idea that we're this elite warrior that can wipe out fleets of 1000 enemies on our own, but can't do so in game for many reasons.

  4. Lately I have been jumping around in my orbiter. Making circles from time to time and I've started to notices something which no one has brought up yet and that go me to the first question and to the rest of this list.

Also I don't have a twitter account, so that is why I am asking you right here.

I have noticed in the orbiter that the white void tree vines seems to be connected to the infected out break near the helminth room. So I went back and try follow it but all  I saw were some wires hanging out. So I went to the other side and go back to operator whom behind the place has a giant tree there with no base in the room.

That makes me wonder about allot of stuff in this game.

1a. Is the white void tree and vines a controlled string of the infested?
    1b. What are they?

Looking further around in the orbiter I got in to the Helminth room. Because my mind was so occupied that I would find my answers there, I stumbled upon another thing.
There are plants, some which aren't introduced yet in to the game. But they are larger and lost the original color and glow. The cube variant isn't in the game, But the other one seems to be like the one found on MARS in search for the tonic for the Silver Groove.

2a. Why does the Lunar Pitcher found in the Helminth room doesn't glow?
2b. What makes these plants immensely larger than their counterparts in the wild?

2c. What kind of effects does the Lunar Pitcher posses?

Due to Fortuna finally being available on console I got to explore it on my own time and pace. And I have found some pretty interesting things, which doesn't add up, at least not with the information I've gotten at the moment. Since Fortuna did not release any lore as of yet, regarding to these things.

While on Fortuna I stumbled upon some strange things.

The corpus there are experimenting on something which did not made sense to me, until the discovery of two things. The first was the Orokin gate that seemed new and almost 100 intact. THe second on was deep in the temple, with some cave I could not access and the sound of an Huge beast / creature. While I was there I stumble for the 2nd or 3th time upon this horizontal spinning wheel that had light in a spectacular fashion emitting from it. I could have sworn that I have seen that before, and then I remembered Specters of the Rails.
When activating a Solar Rail through out junctions on the Star Chart.

3a, Are the Corpus trying to make a Solar Rail?
3b. Can we also ride it?

Further exploration of Orb Vallis made me stumble upon thesse giant things that also look like the Sentient, the giant ones that fought against Gara and the Unum. But thesse things are fashioned in traditional Orokin trademark. Tall white buildings with gold ornaments. Oozing with black tar.

4a. Did the sentient at some point had the traditional trademark of the Orokin?
4b. Did the black tar change them in what they are now?
4c. Is there flesh underneath the sentient like the Unum provides?
4d. What is the difference between this black tar and kuva?

On the PS4 during the unfortunate delay of the release of Fortuna the red text mentioned that it wanted to reveal to us the face of 'the man in the wall' but instead we demanded Fortuna.
In days after some exploration of Fortuna, I had replayed the Sacrifce. In the cave when unlocking the signature moves of the operator, he / she mentions that his / her father stares into the dark, during the outbreak of the Void-jump accident, before turning feral, that something or someone is watching them, assumingly 'the man in the wall'. While also mentioning the famous phrase: 'kiddo'.

According to popular belief on the internet, the man in the wall is tied to the void and might be a physical personification of it. While that might be true it does't seem to add due to the following:
The man in the wall only appears after our interaction with the kuva.
The phrase by the man in the wall is kiddo, just like the supposed father used to say according to the operator.
The man in the wall is always shown in the image of the operator. (I changed my whole person once and he appeared in the new image)
There is a difference between the interactions of Rell and the man and the operator and the man. (This might be due limited release of information)

5a. Is the man in the wall the same as the personification of the void?
5b. Is the man in the wall the father of our operator?

  5. It saddens me to be a console Tenno at times.

The PC gets so many beautiful things to see and they are relevant to the time. But us as console Tenno's only get to experience the things that are 'good-enough'. In the mean time, sometimes for a very long time, the game doesn't get relatively updated at all, in a while it feels like coming back to that old game. I've been on the other side, where the game got sweet things to look forward every week, mostly on Thursdays or those infamous red text. Yeah, it is all fun to get a game that has (relatively) no bugs, but to what cost?

By the time we got the major last thing PC had and it is finally refined and updated, there is another thing to already look forward to that the consoles will not have for another x time.

no one knows why they dont do it.

There used to be this problem sometime ago that Sony and Microsoft didn't allow for cross-platforming due to technical difficulties, people not wanting to get in, the loss of costumers / consumers on both sides and what not legally.

On the other side you have DE that for some reason doesn't seem to have the resources at this point, not technically or what not reason.
But seeing them being able to make some 'exception', as seeing being able to exchange accounts from one platform to another from time to time as a promotion for new platforms.
And you have the different changes that has been brought to game on different platforms. There you have that.

But FORTNITE did break the exception of cross-platforming.

So at this point the only reason to me seems to be is 'bureaucracy'  - or the grown up version to a small kid: "Because I said so"

Also of doing this, but this is because Warframe has that stupid thing were it is either everybody exit or every body stays. And sometimes knowing everybody's interest before hand can make a huge different in how the game progresses.

Stupid because it implemented everywhere within the coop system of the game, even to such degree, where making a selfish decision is extremely punishable for the rest of the team

On the other stuff however I cannot argue. I think you have made fear points, which I also had problem with when I've transitioned to the PS4. Even to such extreme that I've played solo for a pretty long time, at least until I had most of the star-chart done and missions that I can solo (sometimes including sorties), excluding for some reason all the arch wing missions and interception. (never had both of these problems on the pc)

I believe that at least they should try to make the account global for all platforms, and if for example you take your PC account to console because it has restricted what is not yet available on that platform. Implementing a crossplay and I find it more difficult but at least a global account would be great for many people.

Even with a global account, items and plat would still be limited to the platform they came from

A kind of this idea was implemented when the game went available to the console. The account on the PC could be copied so that the players that were already playing WF could continue the transition the console, sort of. There were certain limitation and problems. Not everything could go with you and since then the different WF systems had differents WF.
Different choices were made in events that would've impact on the game and it did. For example different relays on every system are accessible, due an event and choices made by different the outcome of the system community.

  9. While I like the idea to not ever need to sit around every 1 minute or so to be able to make the same thing, that should have the option to make multiple at ones, even to the degree that every multiplier also increases the timer.

I totally discard the idea of drops and or rewards based on a time scheduled event. Warframe has one of the weirdest and most oddly behaving RNG system at times. Somethings do not drop for a long while, and suddenly after acquiring, the drop skyrocket, might be just a personal issue, but I have experienced it many time already. There for it is my number one reason to be against this method.

Also if the said upgrade happen to be a drop and were suddenly available through other means of acquiring within the game, the drops also suddenly skyrocket, as if it is needed then.

Even though I mention this, I do not by any means mean that things should be easily available or gotten. It's just than somethings, including mods are never stumbled upon until the first drop and then suddenly you are practically swimming in it.

I am also against the timed events based on server time or what ever. They come by at such rare hours, depending on your daily life style. Which is why I believe that important things or limited things shouldn't be based by such requirement.

I like how you fixed the enemy scaling issue by not even touching or mentioning it!

Okay now seriously this is nothing else but a bunch of unnecesseary nerfs what dont fix the core problem.

First of all behind what you named as problems lies a giant troll named "Enemy scaling". This guy only does one thing, he negates all of your progression be making sure that no matter what you use after a point the literal cannon fodders will be the ones who obliterate you.

Just removing all of our ways to cope with this will only magnify the problems.

Second, powercreep is NOT a problem. I repeat powercreep is not a problem.

Powercreep is progression itself, as time goes on your characther gets more and more powerful just as how you are supposedly become wiser as you grow old. The problem lies within not with what we have but with what we dont and that is a place to use up your progression. In a well made game you are never forced ro backtrack low level areas just to grind core materials to progress, you are forwarded to a map approtiate for your power.

This is what is missing from here completely, even the latest endgame mode is something what is only difficult because of artifical mechanics.

** please note that I replied to your comment because you bring out the point that I would like to explain to OP
but feel free to react as you would like **

The scaling always has been the problem that was introduced to the game the bigger it became.
Because lets face it. In a game as warframe can't halt people by forcing weapons with MR ranking to get to certain content.
It doesn't work, for one simple reason and one simple reason only.

The game was never designed to have endgame content to begin with.

To understand this and all of the hidden problems, you'll have to know the history of the game before it got to the point of where we are now. Trying to find a solution, together for it all. *This all is told by my point of view of the game and its history, as someone who experienced it from the view of my experience as an early player and the one of the current ones.*

Warframe in its early days was like a demo that people played over and over again. During the time to official mark of popularity, things were added to make it like a full game, but it was still in development (still is, but on a different level). As the game grew so, so did the popularity. But the problem was that it never could stay in a state that it was treated like an hobby project, so plat store was introduced for business purposes and the continuation of the game / developer.

I will get back to this in a short while.

The bullet sponges a.k.a enemy scaling
Content were added and people loved it, but it also meant that the majority was gaining upon the content. With this, the infinity cycle of weekly updates / addition to the game, at least for the beginning stages of the game. With all the good and bad that came with it. In order to solve the problem of catching up, the enemies became stronger on a larger scale, never meant to be initially beaten, beyond a certain point, always stayed one step in front of the players and their current arsenal. The players progressing in a somewhat linear fashion with each new addition to the game and the enemies scaling exponential, while staying relatively the same and only increasing in numbers. This all viewed in comparison, in terms of progression and different methods to solve the problem for and of reaching new heights.

Payers had found ways, within terms of legal playing, on how to beat these enemies, to a certain level, that is. They've found out that no matter how much they tried to use the system, (the different frames, mix of mods, abilities use and their progression), they never could go beyond a certain point and even if they did, it would have taken way too long, with their arsenal at that point, until the next update and introduction of the next big thing. At first this was only on certain places, like the infinity rounds, were people could go on and on the levels, only to quit when they couldn't go far enough with what they had. Soon enough these mobs (levels) would also make their way into the normal game play, which made the challenge a problem. One which never really got solved.

It makes me wonder till this date, why do enemies have levels and the player and their weapons ranks? These things never seem to become equals in this game, but also never would've made any sense if they did ...

    Power creeps (lore wise)

You are The Tenno, a legendary ancient ninja warrior, whom's group was the reason for the downfall of the greatest empire ever existed in the current history. Send in a mysterious way to slumber and awaken after **insert huge amount of time** as an artifact of the old. Upon awakening you flee for you life, only to be led by the Lotus, for which you do her bidding and loyalty towards.

The Tenno themselves are powerful, way powerful than anything you might come across in the game for a long time. The reason for this is really simple from a lore point of view.
(The lore it began with before the game became what it is now, without the updated enemies and interference of quest)

They, the Tenno and every faction around them are the result and what is left of this great empire. The Tenno, all most unchanged by the effects of the fall of the empire, besides being lost in the new era, but in terms of power still ranked as one of the most powerful till date. The Grinneer are from the lowest rank of that era and by the beginning of the game they are just seemingly to be making their way to new heights. The Corpus, seems like the commoners of that era, and when the empire fell, they automatically rose to the top, but never really did anything else. Mostly always seemed to be in war with the Grinneer for territory, even though there seem to be commerce between them.
Last but not least the Orokin, the fallen empire and the remains and information scattered with it,

Because the Tenno is almost unchanged by the effects of the fallen empire, in terms of strength, they did not have to build that up again. The rest of factions, seemed to have other problems within that did not need such power to begin with, to solve their past and mostly current problems, until the arrival of the Tenno.

    Powercreeps (game-play wise)

Warframe is a game where the player is a fast pased, deadly, almost immortal assassin, with tools and abilities in his arsenal to clear a room of mercenaries and other high ranking soldiers or enemies in seconds, or so it seems.

In the old game there was Warframe **insert name of beginner frame**, and it could wipe a room with the beginning gear and the rest of the of the planets (wasn't allot) with ease, if you had certain mods to equip. On top of that, there was not much to begin with either, nor it did had a way variation of different models and enemies. You dropped it, wiped rooms, loot and repeat. New modes were introduced and enemies got types, more advance and stronger, to the point where the beginning gear wasn't enough to carry trough the rest of the game anymore. This cycle kept repeating it self but now with the old gear before new ones were introduced. Same concept as with other RPGs, level up and exchange the old gear for current level appropriates, only now real time. And this went on for while.

The game got revamped and it's first iteration marked the beginning of the warframe we all play and love. And everything else of what we have now i s just build upon this system, which now is known as the unsolvable core of the game. Remove this, and everything that Warframe is, will be lost forever.

This is why we see bandages, over bandages, over bandages.

In Warframe there are two types of powercreeps

    • The first one:
      • Power-creeps exist because the game is made that way.
        • The player is meant to be almost all powerful and an one man army and against a platoon of enemies, no matter the faction they may come from. Not all enemies can be dealt the same way, but one thing for certain. All, including the player, goes down when the hit points reach 0.

    • The second one:
      • Things that are not supposed to be there at a certain moment, time or relevant to the current content in terms of level and or place.
        • As mentioned earlier the game was build with the intention that the player would progress on a linear fashion.
While the game brings out and offers the possibility to branch out, as how the player see fit. So far, so great. The game is now days is also more designed with the linear fashion of the player progression in mind, as seen with:
Specters of the Rail:  map progression, weapon blueprints and given to players when reaching a certain point on the map
          The Second Dream: quest progression
The Sacrifice: re ranking of the required mastery for certain weapons

DE recognized the problem among new ones and chose to guide new players and it seems to be working to a certain extend. It just solves a part of the problem. The other side of the problem is that comes to mind is acquiring new weapons and mods without restricting players to walk the linear path in terms of choice. Which is something that is not truly solved yet but the great arsenal of Warframe makes this really not a great problem to fix immediately. As some weapons are made to tackle the hard things will oppose the players.

It is noted that as soon a certain weapon is hyped to the max by the majority of players in terms of being OP, these weapons, frames and abilities are most likely also the ones that get nerfed due to the reaction of or how it used by the community. Mostly these weapons are not acquired by player until a later point in the game, due to mr restrictions, the amount of resource needed for the build and or mods used in builds by those who may have used it before its rise in popularity.

The game was not meant to have an endgame.
I have mentioned it earlier and now the side notes are cleared I would like to elaborate myself.

Since the conception of the game the game felt like a demo. And even now, 5 years later, it still sometimes does. It is felt as soon as the game gets repetitive, this most noticeable due the lack of refreshing content after a long period of none major updates (especially on the consoles), the player need to achieve certain things in the game and the RNG that is not in the favor of the player. On top of that comes the tedious resource gathering of unholy amounts by the need of ungodly amounts as requirements for different aspects. It is felt like this because it is still being build and maintained around the systems that made it, what it is today.
Eventually it might outgrow these terms, with the growth of DE. And that is fine from time to time as the game is still in development and what is meant to be endgame content and neither the balance, will not ever exist considering the cycle and the involvements of the community, Frankly I hope it will stay that way for the better things and new heights to come.

I feel you man, i would really love to skip all the raw damage mods and shove a lot of utility mods on my weapons, but riven mods have roots to deep in the game, and cant be tweaked whitout killing the riven economy economy (a good chunk% of the ingame platinum) or making the rivens mandatory, wich kills the market anyways, because making them easier to get will devalue them proportionaly

The economy can be changed by other entries when DE will release something bigger and put the old to access for everybody.

some examples from the last five years:

    • The mod fushion cores,
      • before endo
    • Kavat genetic codes
      • before their introduction in the store.
    • Primed Mods
      • still are but used to be way more
        • before Baro.
    • Lenses
      • before their introduction into the store
    • Corrupted mods
    • Keys to access those void towers
      • before relics
    • Primed weapons, warframes and companions
      • way more in the early days
        •  before some were introduced into the store / warframe packs / vaulted

This was explicitly not in the cards. The devs have said it just is not feasible. Also, as you point out, that one mod could fit in any build. This has a serious effect on how many Credits and how much Endo a player would need, you wouldn't need dupes. This is not just a simple thing to implement with no thought required.

Again, it can't be a missed chance if it wasn't something possible. More variants which act and play the same as the main one. This would require every Sword to have an Exalted Blade skin made, every Claw done for Hysteria, etc. That's a lot of work for something that is overriding a part of the frames identity.

First of all ty for replying.

That's true but at some point, that is where I am heading towards. But I see what you mean by that and haven't thought about the economy from the devs side before typing that. Seeing how they make alerts with sometimes 50 endo as a reward.

I can't deny that it would be an awful lot of work but it was would bring more dept to the real endgame of warframe, which is eventually fashionframe. And what makes more statement in fashion than anything else, is personal customization. That would make the frame identity, which is something on default to 'my own'.

  13. I have this bug allot, eversince the introduction of MKB lay-out on the PS4. Even more so with E Umbra.

A way to work around this is to press start and go to navigation and then cancel that.

    You will regain control again.

  14. My brother who has just recently started warframe has done the twitch like for the warframe but he also hasnt received it.

And seeing all these other people, is an indication that there is indeed something somewhere not working as intented. (Different scenario’s and platforms but same  problem ...)

  15. Sometimes when new features are introduced into the game or or major changes are made into the game, I sometimes get the feeling that it could have been more.

More sides of that same thing could have been explored.

With that in mind I have two of those suggestions, which can deffinitely change the way features are approached in the game.

During Spectres of the Rail changes were made towards modding and the mod cost were changed to a system which required endo - which still doesnt feel the same but let’s not go there.

A change towards modding which could have been made is the fact that mod levels should be modable. The idea that for this is that ones a mod reached a max level, it can be changed to a lower level and anything in between. Not only does this makes a mod always  able to fit a build, but it also get rid of the need of haring multiple of the same mod just for the sake of iT fitting into a build,

Another missed change are those exalted weapons in the Sacrifice. Recently the have been made available for changes and modding but this stil feels limited. Also ones other players has the same colours as you, there is really no difference.

But What can be added is to visually being able to change the desired weapon into another mastered weapon of the same specie. Thus creating more variants of exalted weapons ...

i have more suggestions but i want to see What the community thinks of these onces since they are the first that comes to mind.

Well, I think the money I spent before POE was worth it mainly because of POE.

I think POE is an awesome addition because it actually changed the game in a huge direction from corridor shooter which frankly got boring for me after some time.

I know there are people who hate it but it introduced open world exploration, fishing, mining, monster hunting and focus 2.0 which frankly is actual content addition because every one of these are a complete different playstyle/mode. The excessive grind and segregation from resource usage from the rest of star chart however is a bit concerning because it makes me feel that DE is starting to become more money focused.

Similarly, the way the latest quest frames (umbra aside) now require tons of rng to build is very concerning.

That said, while people hate them, I am fine with Lunaro, Conclave and Raids too because even those failed, they are still things that introduces actual new gameplay/experiences and could be used to develop other new content.

However, I didn't really care much about all the U.I. or special effects and whatnot. Debatable but to me those are not actual content addition.

So, to me, onslaught is just a reskinned survival which to me is not actual content addition.

Primes, to be frank, are all just reskins of original frames too and not actual content addition either but I do understand that DE needs to make a living somehow and they help double the income by giving income on top of the sales of the normal version. This is why when I buy Prime Accesses, the real focus for me is on the platinum and accessories because the other items can be farmed for or bought from other players.

Similarly, I was also expecting more for Umbra and not so much on just another Excalibur Prime reskin, some new mods and a weapon (which to me is not actual content addition) and even more so, a massive power creep to Primes (founders feel it now but in future when more are released, everyone will feel it). A reskin of a reskin already pisses me off but I thought it would bring equality so I was fine then it turned out that there is a massive power creep going along with it.

In other words, only things that change the gameplay in the sense that we will play differently or experience different things are money well spent for me.

All the reskins and making things look nice, while important, I feel shouldn't constantly be the focus of development.

That's basically my view development direction and why after POE, the only thing I am interested in is Umbra and Venus. However, after this release, the only thing I am interested in is Venus.

If however, Venus is just reskinned POE with no new actual content additions, I think I will regret buying the Zephyr and Mirage Prime Accesses.

I bought the Ember and Loki unvaults for the accessories so I can't really say I regret them for the same reason but extractor prime wasn't as useful as I thought.

It is really nice to have actually hear this point of view from someone who has experienced it all. I need to say that I am quite impressed from both sides.
As a player I get to see what the other side looks a like and from the inside a peek of what actually is being done towards the development.

At first I personally hated POE and Cetus, still do for a little bit but for other reasons. It was clunky, felt empty (still do, but you won't notice it, with the Lotus constantly screaming at you that there is something going on with in 100 meters from you). Loading time is still huge.
Recently I got into fishing and manage to get around of 40 mainstream fish in an hour of fishing. It is quite fun, until the flying grineer come at you like flies on a open wound.
IMHO I think that is a good direction towards better things, although I do hope that they will introduce more things to do and have a place for exploration and ''free time stuff, for the lack of better words' to do within the game without enemies.

I personally am more into the lore of the game and I do find it interesting to dive into that part of the game.
That is why I hope that exploration becomes a side part of the game with more areas to traverse, explore and loot hunting (with loot that really matters).

One mystery that still has me on my toes, are those Orokin towers of the void. There is much potent there alone. Like a combination of free exploration, with a hunting quest like Maroo offers, with loot that matters, and some puzzles and other rewards. With a dash of risk rewards, for how deeper you go, with traps and enemies, hunting squadrons, mid bosses and eventually a rare boss every now and then.

With that being said it has already been quite some time, that more and more notices the shift of DE regarding to how they handle things, especially with the increase amount of releasing the same content. And even though the game stands as a free to play model, more and more content is being spiked towards payment. Like the increase of grind towards certain aspects while introducing more ways to get by with cash. Even now days there are more micro transactions for platinum.

But whatever direction the game goes, I hope it will still be around for at least another 5 years and blow my mind with every major update.

  17. I also experience this on the ps4. And it is really becoming annoying. Especially when you are in a party but have to quit because of an supposed update. It happens several times a when playing. Mostly after a mission is completed and try to do a new one.

That's the amount that Maroo gives for trade.  She also give endo for the stars also.  She's the only way to get endo from those items.

I never knew. I just kept them in my ship as decorations or sell them to other players for plat. I did turn on how ever into endo but I didn’t find it to be worth it, even though I cannot remember Maroo in the process.

They didn’t seem like a great source of endo for me because I couldn’t count on the drop rate to do so.

Also I rather dislike them as sortie drop because of the other things that I want within the menu, mainly rivens.

I think that's awesome! It is good to support the developers if you like what they are doing via spending some cash on the game even if it is a F2P game so kudos for that👍👍👍

That said, I do hope you are not trying to undermine my opinions with expenditure (not saying you are) and not to purposely sound rude or to undermine your contribution (which once again, it's good👍) but on top of the 100usd I spent on the founders pack, I have been buying most of the Prime Accesses so far because my job don't afford me too much playtime.

As such, with Prime Accesses and platinum purchases being the primary source of platinum for me, I have personally spent 500 to 800usd on warframe alone.

I am well aware there will be people spending way way more than that and thus it will be pointless for us to bring up how much we spent because we individually do not account for the expenditure of others.

That's said, it is not hard to believe non-founders as a whole can match or exceed founders as a whole in expenditure as I have mentioned in my earlier post simply because of the size of the groups.

I know but this is why we should and keep supporting the game as a group and not as individuals. I was going to make a point of how our support can keep the game running even though it is a free point.

I had had never expected a reply but now that you have mentioned.

After all that spending and looking back, did you get your worth out of it? I mean with all the updates, changes and all?

That sounds like quite the adventure!

Oooh so you are one of the lucky ones, you got Excal prime?

Yeah almost 5 years, can you believe it !!

The game had been trough Many revisions but it still is easily one of the best MMO’s I have played since Vanilia wow and Acclaim 9Dragons.

  21. Also I forgot to mention,

why does rhino skin changes so much and can we have more control over it?

I dont like the look of those spikes all over it and I preferred the previous metal like skin it had.

Because of this I barely even touch it anymore. But I can ignore rhino. For one he is my favourite warframe and there was no need ...

He looked fine. I even had build a whole play style around it because of the look.

Taking Fashionframe to a whole new level.

    PS.

If skills have a visual effect on the looks of our frames, can we have options to alter the changes?
