  1. UI was bugged previously upon entering the Plains (missing top-right marks, energy marks). Mid-mission, upon completing a sub-objective for the quests from Kanzu, parts of my UI switched to German. For the sub-objectives up to this point, the lines had been in English.

  2. Exactly as it sounds. For some reason, recently my launcher decided to turn off fullscreen by default. This wouldn't be a huge issue except that now every single time I launch warframe I have to go back into settings to turn it on. Verifying the cache did nothing. I'm sorry I don't have more information but I haven't done anything different than I normally do and I have no idea what caused it.

nikana prime, synoid simulor, broken war, war, scindo prime, and arguably vaykor marelok all perform better with a crit build.

In my experience that isn't always the case. I'm most familiar with the Nikana P so I'll argue that one. This is the build I use (http://warframe-builder.com/Melee_Weapons/Builder/Nikana_Prime/t_30_240000002_226-2-5-228-5-5-240-7-3-244-6-5-247-3-5-254-1-5-360-4-5-364-8-3-637-0-10_637-7-254-6-226-9-247-9-360-11-228-7-244-9-240-7-364-10/en/4-0-99). Disclaimer: I do use Berserker and Blood Rush. If more reliable alternatives existed outside of them I would use those. If Blood Rush was an additional damage increase with stacks (instead of crit), for instance, would it have really been all that different?

On some level OP is right; while I don't consider B+BR as "building for crit" (BR makes any weapon better), it is to some degree crit-dependent. But you don't need to use organ shatter/true steel on every single weapon to make it good.

  4. I disagree. The thing is, those "unique exceptions" are equal in number to the weapons that are actually good when using a crit build. Off the top of my head, this is what I've seen in endgame content recently (note that I am defining "crit" as anything with greater than or equal to 25% crit chance, arguably the basis for a reliable crit):

    CRIT - Tonkor, Soma P, Dex Sybaris, V Hek, Spira P, Lex P (6)

    NONCRIT - Nikana P, T/Boltor P, S Tigris, S Simulor, V Marelok, Sonicor, B War, War, Dex Dakra, Scindo P, S Gammacor (12)

I went through the wiki and any time I saw something I recognized frequently from void runs I listed it. All I can say is the assumption you have that it takes a good crit stat to do well is simply not true. Even if we ignore melee weapons entirely since they can be given Blood Rush, the total still comes out to (6) vs (7) with noncrit weapons winning (6 vs 6 if we consider the two boltors as the same weapon). If you add in bows that might change to 7 or 8, but crits are an integral part of their design. Either way, the number is not enormously slanted.

  5. Hey guys! I do a lot of key hosting and I wanted to share my opinion on how I think keysharing/hosting could be streamlined and lead to a lot less frustration among players.

Right now, we are forced to either seek out a host or host ourselves in recruitment chat. Whenever I host, I almost exclusively pick the first three players that message me since it's the most efficient (and frankly how would you chose other than random selection otherwise). From my experience on the other side of the coin, I can see that most other people do too. This means that in order to even be considered for joining a key, you must be lightning fast on the keyboard. For those of us who don't like twitch shooters (because let's be real, that's what this is), this can be very frustrating.

What I would like to see is a button somewhere where you can join a queue for a certain type of key or host that key (or, piggybacking off of recruitment, a phase that would do the equivalent). For example, you could type LFT4U in recruitment chat to be placed into a queue for a Tower 4 S(u)rvival key or type HT4A to host a Tower 4 S(a)botage. There could even be another button next to the emoji's with the relevant commands.

My personal opinion would be that players that host often should be placed much higher in this queue. Granted, this is probably my saltiness of never getting my runs back talking but it would certainly encourage more people to host and would absolutely cut down on frustration on the seeker's side.

  6. Hey Tenno! Maybe some of you guys can help me out here; I'll be in Detroit for a few months and I'd be able to straight up drive there if I get a passport. How long did it take everyone to get their first passport? I need to know when I should apply (or if there's even time to do it at this point).

Also, is there an exact address (or addresses) of where we would be parking so I can put it in a GPS? And not drive around in circles in the city on my phone trying to find something?

  7. Whenever we trigger an on-effect mod effect with the new mods, we get that small vortex effect around us. I'm pretty neutral about it, but I do have two requests:

Firstly, could we get the color to default to our current warframe's energy color? That might end up nullifying my second request if it grows on me.

Secondly, could we get a toggle for it in the options, or at least a little more space between incidences? I liked the spacing of the syndicate proc effects (once every 20 or 30 seconds feels about right) but I'm iffy about seeing an effect like that literally every single time I cast an ability or get a kill.

EDIT: Yeah, I definitely feel fine about the time between reload vortex animations but seeing one every single time I cast fireball is a little excessive.

  8. Hey DE! As a longtime player, I was really happy to hear about your focus on worldbuilding in 2016 (https://warframe.com/news/devstream-66-overview). I had a question that I was wondering if you're allowed to answer yet:

Will we be seeing any of the colonies in person? We hear a lot about defending the innocent (especially with Steel Meridian) but so far that hasn't been substantiated beyond the occasional rescue mission. Colonies strike me as a huge part of the warframe universe and it would be awesome to have a new mission type and tileset associated with them.

Full disclosure, I generally only get the highlights from the devstreams and have not watched the full versions. If this has been discussed, my bad!

  9. I disagree. It's been a better way for DE to make money off of what is supposed to be a beta, while ensuring that DE has little to no incentive to actually produce a complete game. And if you want to know what I mean by a complete game, go look at the many AAA commercial games out there to get a clue. A ton of frames, weapons, companions, archwings, etc, and several half-done features do not make a complete game.

If you want a complete game then there are numerous other options for you to explore. What other games do you play otherwise, if I might ask? I think there is already an understanding by the community that warframe will never be a finished game, certainly not anytime soon at least. Again, this is simply the business model. "Beta" in the traditional sense is not a good description of the format of the game.

Actually, I'm glad you mentioned AAA gaming. CoD and Assassin's Creed release new versions of their same game every year with better graphics and progressively fewer features (or innovations in AC's case). SW:Battlefront is just a generic 60$ shooter with 4(?) maps and EA has considered it complete (dlc notwithstanding). I could list a lot more but those came to mind immediately. AAA is not helping your case.

Also, inevitably any "complete" game will always run out of replayability.

  10. I'm very partial to this idea as well.

I think DE's made it fairly clear that they have no intention of touching syndicates for a while. And not only that, but they seem rather on edge when merely discussing syndicates. I think we should probably just accept that "Syndicates" is dead, like Dark Sectors, Solar Rails, Dojos, Clans, and others. it's another feature of the game that was half-done and then forgotten as DE became focused on other "new" stuff.

This is a good idea, like many other syndicate-related ideas from the community. But DE's probably not interested.

Firstly, I still use dark sectors all the time for levelling; what do you think is wrong with them?

Secondly, Let's be honest here, rails were a test of PvP mechanisms and there isn't much lost by them being neglected. The intent was to give high-level players and clans something to do for the end-game. The thing is, the PvP portion evolved to become the much better conclave and the end-game experience evolved to become the focus and sortie systems. These things happen and warframe's business model is based on rapidfiring new content at us which, when contrasted against something like Planetside that insists it fixes everything before it makes new content, has turned out to be a the better way to run it.

  11. He's been repeating dialogue lines over and over again before even finishing his first sentence and it's driving me nuts.

    "Ordis is hap..."

    "Ordis is hap..."

    "Ordis is hap..."

    "Ordis is hap- ANGRY... hmm..."

"Ordis is hap- ANGRY... hmm... I might need maintenance after all."

    It is that bad.

  12. I've been having a consistent issue with Chroma acting funny with with energy pickups. I'll cast Effigy and when it begins I won't be able to pick up energy orbs. At all. When I move on top of them I hear the sound but no energy is added to my frame. The solution I've found that temporarily fixes it is to cast it (or any other of his moves) again, but the issue with always return when recast a second time. If I don't have enough energy to cast anything, I'll be stuck in the state where I can't pick up energy.

It may also be helpful to note that when I do the recast to fix the bug, it always returns me to full energy (at which point, after casting moves again, I can pick up orbs correctly). Again, though, the bug always re-appears.

  13. Several bizarre glitches; not sure if they've been posted or not since I'm too lazy to go through 50+ pages of bugs.

First one happened after I revived myself (all but the head gets frost-coated)

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=307021345

Second one happened when I tried to pull out my swords to block and is definitely my favorite warframe bug as of yet

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=307021377

I have no idea what conditions caused the third one tbh, but the swords have trails when they shouldn't (definitely not from a volt or my options menu)
