  1. I've decided that I want a Kubrow named Scooby Doobrow but I can't figure out which breed of Kubrow to go for.  Sahasa make some sense since it's all about scrounging up food but so does Chesa. Huras makes some sense since it's all about stealth and hiding.  Just looking for some opinions, which breed do you think would work best?

Also, I've recently incubated this fellow and was wonder how much he might be worth.

I'm not the best at judging the color rarities, I believe it's a pale green,  sandy orange and grey/blue

  2. UPDATE: Turning on vsync fixes the problem, but it makes my mouse all wonky and slow. Maybe this is a bug? I dont think EVERYONE can enable this option

Huh, it works, good to know, thanks for checking that.

That seems really weird though, why would something made to sync up a game and a monitors refresh rate affect cloth physics...

  3. I'm not sure if it's the same thing but my capes seem too floaty but also too heavy.  Movements that should raise them up (like falling) don't really do anything to them and it can take 5-10 seconds for one to come to a rest after they do raise up some how.

I've got plenty of RAM (16 gigs of the stuff and nothing I'm using while I play warfram should take up all of it). I did update to windows 10 before U17 so I don't know if that's the cause or not.

EDIT: quick test, having warframe and chrome launched only used 6ish of my 16 gigs of RAM so I don't think that's the cause.

  4. I'm going to preface this by saying that I love the new syndana's. The texture and look is simply beautiful and I'm glad we've finally got some capes in the game...but; there's just something off about the new syndana's (it was noticeable with the other cloth-physics syndanas we got but more noticeable now).  They spend too much time coming to a rest after a jump, but also don't seem to react much if at all to the air as the warframe comes down from the jump either.  They seem to be kept aloft less by the actual air and instead some nebulous cloud only they interact with.

I've been noticing it a lot with the Udyat Syndana. I haven't given as much testing to the other syndana's so the effect my not be as prominent on them but at least on the Udyat it's movements seem unnatural.

  5. Something that can occasionally happen during the third stage of the fight is Regor spawning somewhere under the water and slowly dying thanks to the electricity.  I've run the mission over 20 times and it's happened 3 or 4 runs out of that.

Kubrows can also get stuck under the water during that stage and don't seem to teleport back up no matter where you run to during the fight.

  6. I’m looking to hire someone to design an emblem for my Clan, Mages of the Void.  The specifics of the emblem (exact color scheme and aesthetic) I’m not that sure on myself but I can give a couple general ideas of what I want. One difficult emblem, one simpler emblem. ( I cannot provide visual examples, my art skills are...bad is not the proper word for what I do.)

    Option 1:

Somehow combining Volt, Trinity and Oberon, each of them extending a hand and basically showing their power. Volt having some shape or object made of lightning dance in his hand. Trinity giving off some kind of healing looking aura. Oberon having an orb of crackling energy and healing aura pulse in his hand.  The basic inspirations I’m going for is the Black Mage (damage), White mage(healing) and Red mage(both healing and damage, but not as strong as the pure forms) of final fantasy.   Maybe just have each of them be a silhouette except for the extended arm and helmet so there’s less detail to worry about? If possible include some crude approximation (enough of a difference so there’s no worry of copyright) of the classic black mage hat, the white mage hood and red mage hat on their respective frames.  Possibly have them positioned so they form a triangle and have the lotus symbol or a stylized void key in the center if possible as well?

    Possible problems with this one:

Possibly too busy for an emblem.  Most likely exceptionally complicated to make.

    Option 2:

Volt, arms extended in front of him, palms facing inward (spread out enough so the arms are past his sides).  Multiple bolts of lightning shooting in between the hands converging on a Lotus Symbol or stylized void key (I wish there was a specific symbol for the void…).  And, once again, have some approximation of the black mage hat on Volt.

    Possible problems for this one:

Deviates slightly from my original theme for the clan, the three mage archetypes from final fantasy.  Could be fairly boring/basic as a design (really depends on the skill of the one making it though).

Both of these are heavily up to interpretation by the one making them other than the warframes I've chosen and the basic theme (final fantasy mages). If you think you can make it work while keeping the theme we can talk.

This will not be without compensation.  I’m willing to offer a decent sum of plat for an emblem I like and that get’s accepted (and for putting up with me during the design process).  Basic payment plan is, half upon the completion and sending in of the emblem, half once it get’s accepted and implemented in game.   The price is negotiable, minimum of 100-150 plat and I’m hoping to keep the maximum at 400-500 platinum although the higher prices would probably be reserved for someone who could pull off the first emblem in some way.

  7. 1.) Bombard AOE ignores terrain and volt shield

2.) Part of the bug's mechanics meant that AOE radius on the rockets could stack as well as the damage.

Which means if enough rockets were shot down, not even deliberately, you could potentially get one-shotted without even realizing that a Bombard had fired or ever seeing the explosion.

Let's wait for Glen's fix to get patched in before we call for a witch hunt on more bugs in the same theme :)

I'm less asking for a witch hunt and more just pointing out some extra things on this specific topic. If the specific thing Glen is now looking for get's fixed and the bug is not longer there, great; but just in case it doesn't I thought I'd mention it.

I know the AOE goes through terrain and the like but I tend to place electric shield in the doorway of those bunkers or just outside the doorway so the console should be outside the range of the explosion.  And again, the chances of the squads I was in shooting down rockets was low and I visibly saw rockets impact walls and my shield, not get destroyed in mid-air.  Unless I misunderstood part of the bug and what is actually happening is that each time a rocket is shot down the next rocket has the destroyed rockets damage and AOE added to it's own until it stacks to ridiculous levels and finally impacts something, which would require a lot of rockets shot down unless there is a stupid degree of multiplication here and would also require not killing the specific bombard the rockets are coming from if I remember correctly.

  8. While I'm glad the bug has been identified I don't think shooting the rockets is the only cause (or they're two different bugs).  I've encountered this happening in teams that I seriously doubt are shooting down bombard rockets. I've seen the the objective (and myself) drop instantly from behind electric shields on every entrance to the hubs on Ceres.  I'm also fairly certain I've seen it happen right as one of the rockets hits a shield or the wall right next to the shield.

  9. We've gotten Proto skins for Excal and Nyx and the pre-corpus sking for Valkyr on the way.  What frame/frames would you most like to design a proto-skin/special skin for next?  I'm not asking what the next skin would be if there will be one, but which frame YOU want to design one for the most.

I know some designers tend to be very critical of their own work so I wanted to ask, what frame, if any, would you like to do a second pass for? Maybe not a complete visual rework but something that you may have thought of after the fact that you think would have improved the design.

  10. I don't have any capture software so I can't post a video but I've got a few pictures of taking him down with Volt Prime.

  12. 1. With the talk of genetic foundry upgrades in the future has there been any thought about letting us incubate a Kubrow while still using one?  I would love to try my hand at Kubrow breeding or just hatching more of the murderous fuzzballs but I like using a Kubrow too much to go days without one.

    2. This might be too big of a question to answer and if so that's fine, but has there been any talk of a rework of the game's balance?  What I mean is, "end-game" now is too...extreme I think would be a good word. Everything ends up at one extreme or the other. Damage, health, armor, accuracy, and the like is just ridiculously high, both on the Tenno side of things and the enemy side of things, and some things like power costs can be lowered to such a degree that it practically invalidates the energy system entirely. Balance is practically non-existent the closer you get to "end-game".

    3. Another topic of balance, any plans to take a look at enemy accuracy again?  A single mook in an army should not have the accuracy that a Tenno does. If random grineer clone #1335623463 can shoot as well as them, or better than sometimes, they don't really seem like the engines of destruction the lore paints them as. But that's just how things seem to me at this point.  Once an enemy starts shooting, no matter how fast or randomly I move, unless I put something between them and me, I rarely, and I mean rarely, get away from the bullets.  Maybe, instead of high base accuracy, have them adopt an Accuracy by Volume mentality. A single trooper doesn't have to be a master sharpshooter, but with 30 of them shooting chances are someone's getting hit.

  13. I've encountered this before but today is the first time I thought to take pictures (I don't have an video capture software so not gifs).  Volt's Electric shield doesn't seem to block all projectiles even while behind it. This was against Grineer.

Now, to preempt any questions, there are no enemies behind me, I checked this multiple times. All the enemies were in front of me, quite a few meters away.  You can actually see the shield impact damage animation in the first and third pictures.  My shields were higher in the second picture because of my Kubrow.  And the fact that I was actually taking shield damage means I wasn't confusing this for the bleed proc that I had. There were no bombards on the map and the damage was in small, rapid increments, nothing like what a grenade would do. I also never moved from my position.

I'm wondering if this is something I should actually report as a bug or whether there's some obscure fact about Electric Shield that I don't know about.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, there were no bombards on the map and the damage was in small, rapid increments, nothing like what a grenade would do.

  18. Actually just had that happen to me.  I was running Volt Prime and always kept Electric Shield up in at least the front entrance of leftmost terminal (if you are standing with the terminal to your back) but I was one-shot at least 3 times, no indication of damage, or rapid decrease of health or a Bleed proc or the AOE from a bombard rocket, just a sudden and quick death.  After the third time, after using Overload to stun a group on the bridge the mission wiped, console going from full health to nothing, even though there was no way enough of them go through the 3 of us that were there.

EDIT: Just as a quick clarification, this was a rank 30 Volt Prime with a maxed redirection, I've got at least a second or so of damage soak before I die.

EDIT2: Just ran Kiste again, it seems like the radius and damage of the bombard rocket may have been increased or something. There is definitely something strange going on damage wise. I'll drop from full shields + health down to like 100 or so in a blink from something. I don't even think there was the, you ran out of shields, screen flash.

Also, this ended up being with a full team, Me (Volt Prime again), another Volt, Nekros and Frost. No one was AFK and it still wiped in a blink.
