  1. MR means nothing if all you do is camp at draco or any other XP farm. I would rather have a guy that knows what his style is and caters his time to that. Anything above MR8 is negligible. You can get anything in game at that point, but not everything in game is worth getting. MR elitism hurts the game.

    IF

    Big word there.

There's no guarantee that a player has nor hasn't spent all of their time on Draco.  But at the very least, Draco players are capable of recognizing one thing - It's all about the team comp working together.

Also, once you get up into the range of MR18, there's nearly no way that Draco alone will get you there.  You need the exp from all of the frames to do so.  So at the very least, people that are MR18-19 have experienced most frames in the game.

While I don't think MR is the proper way to judge a person's skill, because it just isn't a direct reflection in any way, it is a stat that suggests that those players have experienced a good portion of the game.  Personally, if I'm in a hurry, I'd be more willing to take a person that has a high MR if they don't have the time to prove to me that they're capable.  But don't try holding that against me, because I purposefully look for players who HAVEN'T run Raids before, to get more of the community involved and enjoying the game.

  2. What would be the point? After PBR changes make all the "metal" parts dyable, you can just do that with your existing Prime frames.

Because it's more about what the standard presentation is, rather than what it can be?  I see people fairly often make Excal look like Excal P with gold accent colours, and I have to take a double-take, but nobody honestly ever looks at the standard coloured excal and thinks, "Oh man, that looks like a Prime'd frame."  Hell, they could even take those parts and change them from the metal to something else from their PBR Library, which takes a grand total of 2 seconds.

Honest to god, I think it would be awesome if they made Umbra Frames be more like the idea of "Corrupted" Frames, in the same way Corrupted mods work.  I want a super fast Excal with lower armor and shields for melee.  I want a slower Loki with more survivability to act as a balanced frame in standard missions.  I want a mag that feels like a glass cannon caster frame.  Umbra can be so much more without making Founders panties wad up instantaneously.

  3. Why not make the Umbra released on the Global Build be "Dark" Versions of the original frames, and push the theme farther.  Make all of the Gold a Black Metallic for the Standard Color, and push red as the standard Energy Color.  I assume if they wanted to bring only a few, they could do Excal/Loki/Mag to fit the original starters of the live version.

  4. The key here is, as you said, that you prefer function.  So far no problem.  You then follow with what it means to choose or prefer differently than you.  In your first post this meant that others were lazy or butt hurt.  And now those who choose differently than you are hipsters and attention seekers.  This pattern makes it pretty hard to take you seriously, and really just makes you look like a troll.

There is an unmistakeably large population who pay top dollar for virtual dress-up.  When said people pay money for these things it's very unwise to reintroduce them later for 'free.'  It will just hurt your business.  This is before you even consider the stated exclusivity.  You seem to let your opinion blind you to this reality.

Let's take a step back for just a second with the idea of reintroduction.  If they introduce an item and people pay for said item, and then later reintroduce that item for either money, or different form of currency that requires time and effort to obtain, what do the people pay for when they initially introduce that item?  They pay it forward to have access and use said item before anybody else that doesn't go through the process of paying for said item.  If the time is for a year in which that the item is unavailable otherwise, then you essentially pay your money to have access to those items a year before those who don't pay do.  That's a fairly common business model, where people pay more to have access to something before others do.  Will it hurt business?  I suppose, if a majority of the community recognizes that they are able to access the item later, then yeah, it might.  But considering that this is a business model that is used very often, and rakes in plenty of money for companies, and the fact that a lot of people here DO actually spend an excessive amount of money on entirely visual content, it sounds like it wouldn't actually hurt their business nearly as much  as people here state.

Either way, it's just so amusing that people honestly get so bent out of shape in the first place that A.) a company evolves, changing its business model, and recognizes that its player-base has new and incoming players each day, and that those players should have the ability to get particular content, either by money or effort made in gameplay.  And B.) according to those people, visual content that is very popular should never be either sold nor obtainable ever again.

Why not start making a suggestion for said content to be obtainable in another way?  What do you think that these Visual Items would be worth in Platinum?  Why not make Darvo bring them in for huge sums of Plat in comparison?  I don't know about you, but honestly, if anything ever REALLY caught my eye, I would be willing to spend upwards of 500-600p for them.  Would you still be mad if people payed a currency that directly correlates to real-world currency?  Others would probably be willing to spend more, since the concept of converting currency to a currency that has no actually relevance to every-day operation is the basis of platinum in Warframe.  People completely forget how much platinum is really worth when they hit that "buy" button.

  5. All of this whining just to tell everyone that they should be grateful that they got a good deal on boosters.  If you lift the blinders you'll see a whole world out there where people actually have different motivations than you.  And not just because they are lazy or butt hurt.

Still no to this idea.  Seems pretty obvious majority agrees.  DE has already said PA Accessories won't come back outside of PA anyway.  It's a moot point to argue against it.

Maybe I misunderstand why people buy things, but my motivation when I play this game and buy things is because A) I enjoy this game and B) I want things that are in this game.  I could be completely wrong, but it was my belief that when a person buys things, it is because they want it, and it gives them something that makes their life easier.  I prefer function over form.  Simple enough to understand.  The thing that bothers me is when people justify a $50 purchase by form over function, and then cling to it, saying "it's mine because I've got it, it can't be yours too!  It's not fair that you came late to the party and get the chance to get something by working or paying for it!"  That's nearly on the same level as the concept of a modern hipster, choosing fashion and actions because they are uncommon to draw attention to themselves.

I guess me putting exclusive in capital letters was too complicated for you. Clearly, all the frames, weapons and companions are attainable in game, this isn't news to anyone around here, However, like you much stated accessories packs have been exclusive and it would only figure that is what was referring to because, you know, that is what is this thread is all about to begin with. Again that IS exclusive content. If you are too dense to see this just go to the prime access site:

    https://warframe.com/prime-access

See the parts where it says EXCLUSIVE? I marked them for you so you would not miss them somehow.

I updated my post to continue my argument before you posted your reply.  feel free to read it.  Standing behind the word "Exclusive" is one thing, arguing that "because I bought it, others shouldn't be able to get it." is another.

  6. What exactly makes the founders content anymore sacred then someone buying prime access exclusive content? They both payed money for EXCLUSIVE content and it should stay that way.

Please take a step back and take a look at the content of every Prime Access Pack that has been released after the Founder's pack.  If you are incapable of doing so, I'll hold your hand.

Ember Prime, Sicarus Prime, Glaive Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

Rhino Prime, Boltor Prime, Ankyros Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

Loki Prime, Bo Prime, Wyrm Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

Nyx Prime, Hikou Prime, Scindo Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

Nova Prime, Vasto Prime, Soma Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

Volt Prime, Odonata Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

Ash Prime, Vectis Prime, Carrier Prime, Platinum, and an Accessories Pack

    See the Pattern?

Every Prime Access Pack has brought content to players that is entirely obtainable by playing the game except for the Prime Accessories and Platinum.  Those are not "Exclusive" if you can obtain them another way.

the only thing that is even REMOTELY exclusive is Prime Access Accessories Content, which consists of boosters and almost entirely visual content.

Now lets take a look at the Founders Pack.

Excalibur Prime, Skana Prime, Lato Prime, a Badge which acts as a sigil, access to the Design Council, LOTS of Platinum, and a Solar Landmark.

What in that Pack is currently obtainable or was potentially obtainable in any other way than purchasing the pack?  Platinum.  That is literally the only thing that is "shared" with other players.

So Yes, the Founder's content IS more "sacred" than a regular Prime Access Pack.

If you buy something that is COMPLETELY visual, that makes no ingame difference, and is simply so you can enjoy the aesthetics of your warframe, and then get butthurt when other people can obtain the same thing a full YEAR down the road, and then get angry about it, I honestly don't know what to say.

That's just a step away from saying that Platinum shouldn't be tradeable, because you can only obtain regular cosmetic items with platinum, and it isn't fair to the people that purchase platinum and then use it to buy those cosmetic items, because they payed their "hard-earned cash" to buy a damned dangley cape in the platinum shop.

  7. From my memory, the only people who are genuinely entitled to "exclusive" items are Founders.  Founders deserve their Excal P, Skana P and Lato P.  Beyond that, there isn't a single person who honestly deserves something that is entirely exclusive.

If a player who is dedicated to a game comes a year along after an event, and wants to fulfill their interest in having every weapon/mod in the game, they deserve to do so in some way if they are willing to jump through hoops.  Prime Access packs exist to give lazy people access to content before anybody else, or to prevent them from having to do the work later on.  I've bought 3 Prime Access packs: Rhino, Nova, and Volt.  I recognize the fact that I buckled instead of farming for them.  As a person who has made 3 purchases, 2 of which brought cosmetic items that were "exclusive", I wouldn't be butthurt in any way if those items became obtainable for others.  Would you like to know why?

The only things in a Prime Access Pack that are different from the rest of its contents are visual items.  Literally everything else is obtainable.  But really, if you buy a Prime Access Accessories pack for the Accessories, rather than the absolutely HUGE boosters, then you shouldn't be spending that kind of money.  I value the boosters much more over the accessories, because nine times out of ten, I don't have to worry about income.  It actually has an impact on the quality-of-life while playing the game.  That is worth so much more than a few golden dangley-bits that don't do anything other than look pretty.

So yeah, my 2 cents.  Don't be so butt-hurt about "Event-Exclusive" content or "Prime Access" Accessories.  The only people that have the right to get even remotely upset are Founders.  Getting upset about Event-Exclusive content is, while rather petty, at the very least more understandable than Prime Access content, since Prime Access almost entirely exists just so that people can be lazy with money instead of time and effort.

  8. I just attempted a raid, and a person who had no revives died in the first half of Phase 2.  After reattempting when everybody died, because this person was unable to revive, we were unable to finish the raid, because the puzzle required 1 more person on the buttons.  I know that it can be run with less than 8 people on this section, but this problem occurred, preventing us from finishing the raid, and consuming a key.

  9. Hello!

"League Got Boring" Is a Shadow Clan looking for players that are interested in a fairly active but small Clan to participate in. We have all Clan Research finished. We are looking for players that are Rank 7+, but it is negotiable.

The clan is currently managed by 2 Warlords (Rielach and myself).  When involving clan management, Rielach and I consult with each other on every point, and go out of our way to both inform clan members of our decisions, as well as asking for input for the sake of the clan's growth.  We strive for transparency and communion, while being lax and respectful.

We are looking for people in the interest of making both farming squads and doing RAIDs with clan members in a cohesive group that communicates properly, but by no means require this to be your intention.

We are currently using Razer Comms for VOIP in missions when playing together, but this can be subject to change, depending on user limitations.

Please feel free to message either Rielach or Stratavar (myself) if you are interested in joining!

    Have a nice day!

  10. While in Melee mode during an Archwing mission, I can't seem to block with the Centaur.  At first, the Centaur was able to block, but after blocking a few shots, I can't seem to get it to block anymore.  It blocked on one or two occasions after I first discovered the bug for a short duration.

I have tried fiddling with controls and swapping stance modes.  I have also relogged.  So far I have not tested it on a different PC, but that will be soon to come if the issue persists on my main computer.
