  1. Your spoiler tag should be front of the title.

I cant speak for the devs but way I see it is that they've tried to make the feeling of "I am Tenno, I am Warframe" that some players have, by making the operator not locked to specific appearance or sex, but just freely customizable to fit your own view.

So no, I dont think they're supposed to be ambiguous, but rather how you see operator as an reflection of yourself or how you'd see the operator. And if you're asking that do they look ambiguous, yes, of course, they're children, but the body type changes enough to stay ambigious but still noticeable when you change the face between boy and girl faces.

  2. Is there any plans, or do you think that there's any need, for group finding improvements or changes that change the way we currently do it, which is spamming recruit-channel? For example a group-finder tool, or selecting wanted void mission in star-chart and joining public void game.

  3. Hiya! I'm Interested in joining to your clan!

I'm MR16(will be 17 today). I've been playing almost since start of beta, but not constantly, which has unfortunately resulted in missing lot of events. But I love Warframe and would like to try be more consistently active, and that's why I'm looking for a clan! I haven't ever been in an active clan where I actually knew anyone besides my gf, and that's something I'd like to change. After looking through ~30 recruitment posts I believe yours is most fitting! Here's something about me, answering your "requirements to join" points and more:

    • I believe I'm friendly player, I really dont like elitist attitude, like "if it's not used in meta it's trash".
    • I live in Scandinavia and have reliable internet connection.
    • I'm currently having exciting Warframe season going on and I'm playing every day if I can, mostly on evenings, but I believe I will be playing bit less in future, couple of times a week maybe at minimum.
    • I know lot of the game but some of end-game content is still more or less mystery to me, for example I've never done raids, which I'd like to experience.
    • I have plenty of stupid jokes that can silence the whole room, though I mostly let others do the jokes, I like to laugh at them! But I'm really not a fan of inappropriate eating-a-baby or rape-jokes.
    • One of the main reasons I'm looking for clan is chance to chat. I love to hang around in relays because of this, as an example.
    • I believe that flaming and insulting rarely achieves anything positive.
    • With playing since first days of the game I think I'm committed to the game, at least I feel strong attachment to it :) I regret a lot that I missed so many events, but dont let it me from enjoying what I have.

I also have a gf who plays with me and she would probably like to join as well if it's possible and there's room.

That's about it. Any chance on fitting to the clan? :)

I had a r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d (that's seriously blocked lmao?) valk in a squad of mine earlier today, that was firing his / her tonkor at the green targets lmao, missed literally EVERY shot.

I dont know how that makes someone mentally and/or physically handicapped, but I was going to write something about Tonkor and this event, and problem of not-knowing-what-the-hell-to-do.

I did this boss fight myself without reading anything beforehand, and went with a PuG that hadn't done it before either. We got to the boss room and everybody realized that we need to stand on the small buttons and shoot the buttons. At this point problem arose that comes quite apparent in PuG.

Instead of simply there being a button to shoot, the button switches place and there's countdown to shooting it and everybody must shoot it and not leave the button they're standing on, else the activation sequence resets (this I'm not sure of but looked like it). Now, being 4 players without a clue, one of our party member had only Tonkor with her so of course it was almost impossible for her to hit the button.

Here's the issue though: because everybody needed to stand on the buttons when all 4 buttons are being shot, and rollers knocking people off the button they're standing on, the activation thing keeps reseting itself, and SEEMINGLY feels like shooting the buttons doesn't actually do anything, as there's no indicator that shooting the button when other buttons haven't been shot yet does anything.

After ~10 minutes of wondering what the heck we're supposed to do, I noticed our Nova trying her hardest to hit the button with Tonkor. I dont think she understood english very well either because she didn't participate in our conversation with two other party members. I started to shoot her button and ultimately succeeded, resulting in us proceeding to the actual boss fight, which was pretty awesome fight!

My point with this wall of text is that for first-timer, this activation sequence is kinda out-of-place considering how fast paced shooting race rest of the game is. First you rush with high-speed to the objective and then suddenly need to stand on platforms and do something. It's not hard or complicated or bad thing, but I find it completely understandable that first-timers in random PuG will feel confused about it.

Take a minute to write out what needs to be done and hopefully other players in your groups will understand and follow the instructions :)

  5. SuikiAmon, why do you think that the quest isn't canon? Why is this lore-development a bad idea in your opinion? Do you believe that this affects negatively to game as a whole or just your personal experience of the game? If the whole game, then why and how exactly? Can you elaborate these points as much as you're willing? I'm very interested!

Please dont reply with "because it isn't canon" or "it's bad idea", or similar responses if it's not too much of an trouble!

  6. Note: droprate is same in every spy mission where the part drops, though I have no source that there's other factors on the droprates, but it sounds bit far-fetched that there's some system besides %-chance of drops, especially when we know that there are set droprates.

7,52% is the droprate for the blueprint and helmet. So do whatever spy mission in tier 3 spy missions you find easiest for yourself. Congrats on the drop! RNG is horrible thing, I've done earth spy missions over 50 times without systems drop. Grr.

  7. I would've spent way, way more to Warframe if I could've afforded it when Warframe first launched and when you could be a founder. Now I could afford that and all the prime access packs, but the feeling of "I will never get those old ones again" prevents me from buying the new ones. But yea, throwing 60$~ when you have 50% or 75% plat login reward is pretty awesome value considering the hours players spend with this game.

I have to admit, having 3k+ plat feels awesome, it's not so much that you want to just buy everything, but it's enough that you dont stress over not getting that one 5% droprate prime part drop after 50th T3 Exterminate runs, and just buy the piece with plat at that point.

  8. You make it sound like that every player automatically gets prime versions or aims for them.

Not all players can nor want to use money to purchase them, or want to farm them, or don't have time to farm them, or aren't prioritizing the prime versions over other things they want to do.

Getting prime weapons and frames is either expensive or time consuming depending on the RNG (getting the void keys or getting into groups to specific void runs, then actually getting the parts, then the credit cost, and then the need for 10 Orokin Cells), assuming person doesn't want to trade, which people totally should imo. It doesn't make that much sense to rush for prime versions of equipment. I'd much rather level that new cool X thing that I can get right now.

Hell, I have Burston forma'd 3 times because it's so fun and cool looking gun and I haven't gotten even one Prime version part of it.

  9. just started playing this game, decided to foray into the forums as a means to learn more about the game and see what "issues" this game has...

first post I read is this... LOL

I guess every game has them...   and I thought WoW was bad

Welcome to the Warframe! Don't let threads like this affect you negatively, I suggest using "Players Helping Players" forum and /r/warframe subreddit where the discussion is bit more positive. General forums like these can often include lot of negativity even though the users probably don't mean their comments in that way! It's just general attitude in most forums without dedicated cause. Well, at least from what I've noticed!

Anyway, feel free to ask people for help, be polite and don't give up easily :) This game is grind, but it's really fun grind and is always evolving. Hopefully you'll have tons of fun playing!

  10. I don't really know what the end-game is, but I'd like to be able to play it. If the Escalation alert is something that can be considered end-game, I'd very much like to play it. I just don't know how. All the "guides" just say to use X frames but not much mention of mods or what to do with the skills... I might sound idiot for not understanding those things, but I just don't understand the game so well.

  11. My suggestion is not the easiest one, but I believe it's something that would really hit well.

City tile-set. Based on high-ranking corpus/grineer offices in skyscraper complexes, with city below where you can see and hear the life of civilization. This could be introduced by a quest-line that has some common folk hero-leader contacting you, person that really hits as an ragtag rebel leader that common folks looks to follow. Not some smart-&#! thief nor high status leader or merchant, but just someone who wants him/her and his/her people to just survive.

Have a voiced transmissions from bunch of civilians in missions on that tile-set, for example thanking for saving them or something.

There, suddenly the solar system feels much more alive and it feels like our actions have much more impact. At least seemingly.

Of course it could bring unbalance in that rest of the game could feel much more less alive so there's that... Anyway, I really like this discussion!

  12. I agree, at least partly.

I took about ~year break or something like that, and first thing I noticed was all the events that I missed. Also the unique rewards from them. It... feels bit unfair. I mean, it's an age where we have so much entertainment available but so little time to experience everything we are interested into. And interests shift from time to time. Year or so ago I played Warframe like an madman, then my life changed and didn't have time to play that much anything at all, then I got interested about other things, and I got bit burned out of Warframe anyways.

I really regret that I didn't check the game events actively (is it possible to get e-mail notifications about events?) and missed all the cool events and I really feel like that I'm late to the party even though I've played since beta (err early beta). Fortunately Warframe itself is so good game for me that it's not deal breaker for me and I'm playing Warframe once again whenever I can.

I can totally understand the point of exclusive timed events in an F2P game and rewards attached to them, it's good business. I just wish that there would be... Some way to experience those events in some way for players that didn't play during the events. Or something that would make me feel like "Hey, I weren't here during the event but I feel that I didn't miss something huge because I can do this X thing and feel that I'm part of the Warframe." Basically would be nice to be able to play shortened versions of the events as quests, even if it would be without the same rewards. Then add the rewards either as purchasable by platinum or as random rewards like the Spy 2.0 rewards.

But overreaction like "Well I'm not going to play anymore EVER because I didn't get X item from the event Y" is bit silly (except if you're hardcore collector). It doesn't make you unable to play the game nor doesn't limit what you can do right now.

  13. Hiya!

Sorry if this is stupid question, but I just cant find the answer... Where is the list of all Alerts available to me? I cant find thm anywhere. I need to always click planets with icons on them but I dont know what icon means alert so I end up clicking all of them so I figured I'm just missing something really obivious.

    Thanks!

  14. Hiya!

This was my 400th time getting stuck to these stupid ventilation shafts. This time my gf got stuck and I finally snapped and decided to make a report about this issue.

Album of few pictures (they're essentially the same pic from different angle)

    http://imgur.com/a/p0eqK#0

Problem:There's this one place in jupiter corpus tileset where you need to go from one of the 3 ventilation shafts to proceed. You always take the middle one that has the breakable... things, in it. You break them and hop down. The LEFT one takes you down to infinite loop that you cant exit from other than by aborting the mission or letting others finish the mission. And sometimes you just rush so fast or don't remember that piece of map or maybe even haven't ever seen the place, and you take the left one because it's open and map shows you to go down.

Edit: Forgot to mention, this happens especially if you use the melee strike during mid-air, and I use that all the time because I like to drop straight down. In that ventilation shaft, you cant cancel the melee animation because the current is pushing you up all the time.

This happens because down there is that air-current that pushes you back, and it should be strong enough to take you all the way back, right? Well it doesn't. You get stuck in the air current.

That moment makes me feel like I'm in some kind of torture experiment where DE has made all this as buggy as possible, but fun enough so we get hooked, and torture with us these frustrating "F*** you" bugs. I know it's not like that but I'm currently very frustrated because of these numerous issues that keep trying to make me not want to play this awesome game.

Thank you and please fix this among numerous other bugs.
