  1. Good 'ol Miss "Boatshoes" Banshee.

Bought her when she was first released, stuck through when she got nerfed, when the bug affecting Sonar persisted through multiple big updates unfixed. Found my personal favourite colour scheme and turned that into my personal colours and applied it to EVERYTHING in the game.

But I can't make her work. She's too frail and too finicky to make useful, while others required less work to be effective, and far, far more survivable in general.

Now she (and Banshee Prime) just.... sits there, in storage, while I Prowl around with Ivara.

  2. Is there a functional distinction nowadays, in this age of Liiive Seeervices, especially pertaining to a free-to-play live service game, whose players already understand its update/patching structure?

Like, what did FO76 gain when it changed from Beta to Release, aside from upsetting the handful of people who would have handwaved faults during the Beta stage, faults that would likely will still persist beyond the "launch day"?

Personally, I'd consider "Warframe 1" to be Release Version 1.0 when there's:

1: enough stuff to get MR30, excluding all exclusives

2: a Landscape for all planets

    3: Railjack for all planets

  3. If they really can afford to buy server hosting for every region and provide an overall net performance increase for everyone (within reason, obviously excluding bad connection or PCs), then sure. Otherwise I'd rather stick to P2P, warts and all.

Moving to dedicated hosting for the hope of future growth is putting the cart before the horse, IMO. Warframe isn't that big as compared to your triple-A fare, and spending like a triple-A dev won't suddenly give it that attention.

  4. Keyboard navigation of menus has some feature disparity that is encountered by navigating through it with just the keyboard.

    There's:

-WASD/arrow keys to navigate through all on-screen menu elements

-N/M to navigate between tabbed lists

-Y to usually activate a drop-down menu, often the Sort option

-Enter to interact with some elements

-Spacebar to interact with some elemets

There alsoaren't any buttons to scroll up/down lists, nor are there any dedicated interact button, functionalities only present on the mouse scroll wheel and left click, respectively.

This isn't a major issue as people playing on mouse-keyboard has a mouse and will intuitively interact with menus using both, but it's a hindrance when I want to just manage my inventory with an off-hand while, for example, taking a sip of my drink.

Using one screen from the new, non-diagetic menu rework, pressing down on the bottom-rightmost item in the Inventory/Sell list moves the cursor to the "Sell items" button to the right of it, instead of going down the list, as would be expected.

    Suggestions:

-capture the cursor's up/down input to scroll through the list like the old keyboard controls pre-unified UI input, navigating to the scroll bar or to the top/bottom of the list will allow an exit from this

-separate WASD and arrow keys as element navigation and list navigation, mimicking the left & right stick behaviour of a controller

-assign dedicated buttons to scrolling up/down lists, such as PgUp/PgDn

-Have Enter/Spacebar/E/X function like left-click on all elements

  5. Congratulations, man. I went from struggling to destroy one limb with an Opticor and tier 1 amp to reliably killing Terry with a 3 Lanka, 212 amp, Shattering Impact Sarpa, and an Oberon with Phoenix Resurrect.

Something I found helpful was to quickly hop on my Itzal and stay cloaked above him for the final burn phase. Sure I'm not getting the best value on mods because of needing to have Hush to stay cloaked, and having to get down to deal with the heal phase if it happens, but it's a whole ton safer and easier to keep getting headshots from that vantage.

  6. There's no set timeline, so there's no telling what event came first, so IMO:

Margulis helped the kids, Orokin wanted them dead, Margulis spoke up and so she was sentenced to die.

Some time after her execution, her work was made into Transference, and Ballas made Warframes.

-and some time between her sentence and the end of the Old War-

Natah traveled to the Origin System, got sterile, thought against completing her mission, and was approached by Ballas with a solution: She'd be given a meat body cultivated with Margulis' cells, and she'd become the Tenno's 'foster mother' in her place, as The Lotus.

Which, turned out to be some ploy by Ballas to have her "benchwarm"(???) the body. And now his plan is coming to fruition, he deactivates the "support system", and reunites with a reborn Margulis, Happy End.

Funnily enough, it shows how useless the map is on the plains.

The map helped a lot in me getting to know my way around the plains. Landmarks aren't of much use if you can't associate it's location relative to other things on the map.

I didn't know that. I never saw that article but I did see others, over the past 4 years, who have had the same problem. Just hoping that I'm on when it happens or I will have to wait another 10 days, lol. Always seems to happen when I'm off. I appreciate the info, thanks.

Still have no idea how they from SPACE warp down to map where the frame is... If it's possible might as well use operator to warp from SPACE into the spy vault without bothering about all the extra's...

Did you play War Within? The whole point of that quest was about how the Operator becomes more powerful after recovering their memories, to the point of not needing instrumentation to connect to Warframes over long distances (Ordis detecting Transference energy even without the cradle), allowing them to use that increased connection to step out of their Warframe, using it as a gate. You know, THAT epic scene? The one right before you fight the queen? They're not just popping out of thin air wherever they choose to, dude.

There's lots of stuff to turn off, and most important of all, you can reduce the game environment resolution without making the UI all blocky. My machine is not really a potato, but I reduced that option to ~70% to get a FPS increase.

Although it's still early days for PoE, I believe it will stabilize in the next days/weeks, and many of you will be able to access it in time (techincal problems), while the lowest specs will really have to upgrade eventually.

This. The newly-added render resolution scaling is very helpful. Used to need it to be 800x600 to run comfortably and suffer the mushy UI, now I can have 1280x720 and scale down rendering to 60-70%.

And yeah, new areas at launch can CHUG on potato toasters, but the DEvs are pretty good at optimising it.
