Been here that long, so I'm well aware.

But, you still had to agree to be a beta tester to even download the game.  Talk about how Warframe isn't "really" in beta anymore just as a CYA all you want, wont change the fact that we are, 100%, beta testers.

    Nice try tho.

If we go by that logic, then ANY game you play, you are beta testing. Its not a beta anymore, its literally just a way of DE defending themselves for bugs and S#&$

    Nice try tho+-*/

Do you have the specific data for that? I tried looking, but the closest thing I could find was the Steam Charts. According to Steam, the highest amount of people who used Steam to play Warframe is 131,766.

    PtEeHcf.png

I haven't anything close to that, for Playstation's data, so I'll just go off of the next best thing: The number of times Warframe (PS4) has been reviewed. Looking at Warframe through the PlayStore, it says it has been reviewed 289,612 times.

    ZCNaklt.png

That is more than double the amount of times Warframe on Steam has been played. Now lets say, 75,000 of those 289,612 players are inactive, that still leaves us with more players than Steam's chart shows. And that's just for PS4. There are still plenty of people who haven't even bothered to review the game, but still play it regularly. It is incredibly likely that there are in fact, more console users than PC users, simply because consoles are more accessible. Not everyone can afford a computer that can run Warframe (let alone store 40gb of data), so of course, they'll buy the next best thing.

(Right now, I can't port screenshots off of my PS4, so I can't share a pic of the Playstore's review count). Thank you Mag.

Thats not al all time peak. Thats overall. Theres probably beens MILLION AND MILLIONS on PC. You cannot use overall ammount of users in any way for that.

Yes, I did uninstall the game just to reinstall it to prove a point.

    You're wrong.

Look at the date and time in the bottom right corner.

    unknown.png

We're beta testers.  You have to agree to that to download the game.

I hope you realize the game has been "In open beta" since update 8 or something. Its open beta everywhere. Thats how they defend themselves from criticism. Nice try tho

Does f2p mean actually free or is it the same bs with only the base (unfinished) game being free?

And if it still has lootboxes it isn't worth the time.

1st yes its rly only the base game and you have to buy the expansions

2nd what lootboxes? The cosmetic ones you can earn? And if you mention that they drop "mods" imma just stop you there. The mods they drop are common, which are useless. You can get hundreds of commons by just existing in that game, epics are the only ones that matter

    Hey Tenno.

So Nightwave (mostly) returns, and with it the challenges of mixed community opinion. For one of the weekly challenges, you must expend 3 Forma on upgrading your items. But love it or hate it, that's not what this thread is about, so kindly leave that rage elsewhere. There are a thousand other threads where you can go complain and argue about the 3-Forma Act, so please don't do it in this one. I don't personally care if you're a grizzled old vet who has polarized every weapon in the game 23 times. I don't personally care if "that weapon isn't worth the Forma because muh meta". You have plenty of other places to sprinkle your salt.

This thread is about helping each other deal with the 3-Forma Act. Please post suggestions for what to spend those Forma on, such as weapons with few to no innate polarities that need some Forma investment to really shine. Let's also keep this decently constructive. Yes, some of these won't be "meta" or "competitive", but that's not the point here. The point is to gather some suggestions, weapons that could use up those Act-required Forma and give the player a decent new Arsenal piece for their efforts. I'll start.

    • Exergis. No starting polarities, can't get a full build without at least 2 Forma. The way I have mine now (still not maxed) doesn't break any records, but it's effective in levels over 100 and is quite satisfying. I like its tight spread for dealing with Arbitration Drones.
    • Knell. No starting polarities. With at least a couple V polarities though (and its recent buff to full auto), it's pretty slick. When built for some speed, Knell fires fast enough to become a Corrosive/Status Armor stripper, and its crit is nothing to sneeze at.
    • Nagantaka. Starts with just one V. I put a V and a -- into it and it's actually amazing at Slash/Viralling the poop outa high-Armor targets with its full-mag burst. Nice synergies with Magnetize, Mecha Set and Condition Overload. It's also just a nice crossbow by itself, and my new favourite in its class.
    • Synoid Heliocor. No starting polarities. It's nothing special, but it does okay as an average weapon. It also scans enemies it kills, so when new enemies are released you don't have to swap to Helios Prime or bother with manually scanning. It's an alright utility weapon for your average runaround.

Or just wait for plague star and use it on zaws. Ez

I wouldn't go so far as to say PC matters more than console. Financially speaking, I'd say a large portion of their money comes from console, since we can't purchase discounted plat, so we don't have an excessive amount of it in the system, thus leading to inflation and a decrease in demand. If Warframe moved entirely to PC and pulled the game from consoles, I doubt DE would be making as much as they are now. Outside of PA packs and Tennogen, very few people on PC really have a reason to buy full priced plat, since you can purchase stupid amounts of it for half the price (granted you have a coupon). Without console players, PC wouldn't have much, and without PC, console wouldn't exist. Neither matter more than the other.

But thats just my opinion  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, DE would of course make less money but I I'm pretty sure PC players spend more than console players, specially cuz there's more players on pc than on consoles

The Eidolon hunts are still riddled with bugs after all this time and now the one thing that got us kind off hyped is put in the intermission? It requires zero effort to get and has nothing to do with Eidolons. This could have been an item that would have drawn people into being hunters, but you don't seem to even acknowledge us who spent hours mastering the fights, going for 5x3 and above.

I'm generally not one for exclusivity, but it would have been nice to receive an item that acknowledges the little community of top tier hunters that still exist. I'm sorry but this really feels like a middle finger. You could have put it at 20 Teralyst caps (which is REALLY easy) and it would have been more fitting to the theme than putting it in the intermission.

    Edit:

Let me just clarify that the main reason i dislike this is because the Eidolon Ephemera should be unlocked by something related to .. Eidolons?

Its fine. It looks poop anyways

Who else is disappointed because believed that plague star was coming today (everyone i asked believed it would come today)?

I waited for so long to get the plague zaws since i missed them last year and now i got this nightwave intermission (i couldnt care less of some sentinel slots and an ephemera).

This morning i said "maybe they will fuse P.S. with NW (common infested theme) and force us to wait another month", damn i was kidding about that, but i'm starting to fear that things will go like this.

I mean, i know that DE didnt say nothing at all about plaguestar, but cmon man, we've waited for so long, do they really want us to wait another month?

But they did say it. They said it 2 TIMES that it was june 12th. Just another DElayed thing

While I agree with this in principle, Demolysts are a unique situation. They aren't just combat bosses, but rather suicide rushers. Being able to stop them in place essentially undermines their entire design. And considering the Demolysts are literally the only thing capable of destroying a Conduit in the time allotted, undermining them undermines the entire game mode. While that's not always a bad thing, making Demolysts vulnerable to control turns the entirety of Disruption into a gear check. Do you have hard control? If so, you win. If not, come back when you do.

I honestly don't see any way to make the Disruption game mode work without making Demolysts ability-immune. There are far too many ways to cheese them otherwise.

Ya but it makes doing 2 keys at the same time very hard

I’ve been trying to farm Hexenon (on the endurance mission) to craft Wisp for like 3 hours or so and I’m so sick of listening his voice.

Also, fix the host migration, I’ve lost almost all of the farm I’ve done because the host decided to disconnect/abort the mission when the rest of the team wanted to extract. Meaning that all the farm I’ve done today was pointless. I started farming with a hundred and something of Hexenon and ended up with just a miserable two hundred.

I have never had problems with host migrations and yet tons of console ppl complain about it.
Like wtf happens, do you just not reconnect ao new host/ host it yourself ?

So I compliment and thank pc for what they do, and what they are, and you decide to act like a drama queen about it? You are beta testers whether you like it or not, if not the updates would be universal and cost DE much more. You are the one seeing it as a bad thing and being toxic about it. Fragile pride, is it?

Btw by your posts I can see you are one of "those"... The ones who need to have a platform war in their lives to give them some meaning. Warframe is not the place for that. It's pretty rare to see platform war pettiness around here, almost non existant, so I suggest looking for that drama elsewhere.

Quite a huge stretch there. But no, we arent beta testers. Yes the game comes with a few bugs, but they are fixed. Thats not how betas work tho. It comes from the simple fact that you do not know what a beta tester is. And no, the updates arent universal because sony and microsoft like taking their time slowly reviewing everything and having problems with everything.
Ya the Jovian update had bugs, for like 2 days. Then it was just normal warframe. You had to wait like what, 3 weeks ? Ya, DE wasnt reviewing bugs by then bud, microsoft and sony were just doing their thing.
Also, ever wonder why updates are TAILORED more towards the PC playerbase ? Because we matter more. PC is the main platform for warframe.

I just love when PC players say that (not aimed at you!), first of all important hotfixes can actually be fixed, we've had it in the past with like 4 hotfixes a day.. so they can do it.

And second, always this talk about how unplayable and disgusting the game is before all the fixes, yet veterans breeze through and get everything in 24 hours so hm? What's unplayable there..

Ya. I killed ropalolyst as soon as it dropped and then farmed some hexanon for my clan. By day 2 I had everything there was to have.

Hows borderlands 3 going for you and epic exclusives

You do realize, its still the same right ? Many ppl, me included, dislike epic BUT I rly want BL3 so I will most likely just buy it there. Not a huge problem, I just gotta open a launcher I dont like. No biggie. Hows inferiority going for you tho ?

How cute that you've been playing for a while. I've been here for years, and I know that updates have been coming much faster recently. Before you'd have to wait 1-2 months minimum for every update. Now we've had it reduced to an average of 2 weeks, and using the same "PC Beta test, port and cert" method, which means it's the same system, but much faster.

And those are just the facts. As far as my opinion is concerned I wouldn't mind 1 month at all. Specially because ever since Exploiter Orb Mother I've been seeing a lot of bugs, and bad ones at that. Which means that the faster updates come at a cost of lower performance. And I play consoles mainly because I like the trade-off of waiting more but not having to worry about my game running well and polished. Unless something like cross-play/cross-save becomes a thing someday I don't want faster updates. The only instance where I'd accept a more unstable build on consoles would be if I could switch between platforms, which doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. And right now we still have to wait, but we also have more bugs. So yeah, all that whining from us players got us was the bad sides of both worlds, and I hope it doesn't get worse.

Now, as far as Tennogen and "Console negligence" are concerned, 2 things:

    • A new player, Nintendo Switch, has entered the arena. This means renegotiating most deals that existed before regarding Tennogen. Give them a chance to catch up ad don't be entitled, because both PS4 and XB1 had to go trough the same and you wouldn't have liked if PC told DE to disregard consoles because most players and money are on PC.
    • Before speaking of console negligence, see that we have exclusive packs, we can buy Tennogen with plat (even if that advantage is balanced out by the lower plat rates) and they have made an incredible effort to appease to the people whining about the waiting times between updates, which I mostly disagree with for the reasons stated above.

That's about it. It's what we have, and it's quite fair, much better than it once was overall. Playing the poor sobbing victim card whenever it suits one is truly shameless and disgusting, from this smaller complaint, to bigger issues such as racism, sexism or other problems.

Funny how you call us beta testers, but the update was bug free by the 2nd day and we had everything and did everything before you were even able to download it

Kind of reminds of Legend of the Dragoon as well how the Additions got better the more and more you pulled them off.

I understand Sealthrux' opinion too - after 100s of hours sometimes its nice to mindlessly spam - that said I think you highlight something this game needs desperately, which is reward for mastering the gameplay systems.  Actual tangible improvement that hinge on skill rather than the mod combo you slap on to faceroll enemies.  Currently the game doesn't really reward skill based play very much.

There is one tho. Its called Suicide Arbis.
