  1. I am guessing this is a bug.

When i was just fooling around in the Vallis at max wanted level a Kyta Raknoid spawned and the electrified mesh kept dealing damage to me while i was in the rift.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I have noticed several other things also affecting Limbo in the rift aswell, some of the higher level robotics can move in cataclysm even if stasis is active, is this meant to be or is this a bug?

It would also be nice being able to destroy the reinforcement beacons if you put a cataclysm over them, since they would technically be in the rift, wouldnt they?

  2. I don't think it will break melee at all but it will probably require some re-learning.

About peoples worry on Life Strike, I wouldn't be surprised if they change it from a channeling mod to a heavy attack mod. If they do that it would still be an on demand heal, but you would have to think twice before using since that would deplete your combo counter (if they go through with that change).

  3. They will be showing how far along they are with melee 3.0 in the next devstream.

I love melee gameplay as well but I am not nervous at all. I am excited to see the melee system change, alot of stances and weapon types are really bad right now. I want a reason to equip dual daggers other than fashion for example.

But now your weapon doesnt have the extra points of the stance, so you have to put 2/3 extra formas.

But that still doesn't change the functionality of chromatic blade.

Extra forma or not it works in the same way.

i really doubt it's needed. on a basis of this game mode players now have a very good platform to max out mastery fodder weapons and frames or forma weapons they want. besides it's outside of a gimmick of this syndicate, we hunt for standing. we do not slaughter... well not for simaris at least.

Needed or not wasn't the question. Its a matter of making sense. We gain standing when we collect specimen for Simaris right? And in Sanctuary Onslaught we help Simaris yet again to gather data by killing the specimen over and over. So wouldn't it make sense to gain standing since you are helping him in one way or another right?

  6. Holding 1 as a mechanic wouldnt be an issue for most i think. Its the same as hold e for a charge attack in melee.

All it would do is give the opportunity to chain different combos together.

And the matter of boxer or not isnt really relevant, if you dont like the idea dont comment on it and let the people who like the idea discuss it. Please dont make this into a flame war.

Once again I direct your attention to the spikes on his boots. Being equipped for kick-boxing is how DE apparently made him to look. So your point is?

@Romlinbeat me to his official intro video. He is called a brawler canonically.

Anywho, I don't see why you're so against this idea. It's not a tweak but an addition, as in you don't have to use it.

Im very much into the idea of adding kicks into his kit somewhere, it would break up the nr1 spam a bit.

No, one of his potential names was Brawler, just as Smoke was for Ash. His developmental phases mean nothing. How you see him in game is how DE decided to make him. He is designed to be a boxer, not a kickboxer for whom DE forgot to add kicking attacks. It's like saying Nezha should be a unicyclist because he has a wheel on his back.

This is Atlas, the brawler, the strong.

This is from his introduction video and the wiki. Im pretty sure that says brawler.

Except Atlas is not only a brawler but an Earth-themed framed. From his name, to passive to his general skill set he is clearly Earth based and thus Tectonics fits naturally in his kit.

Thematically yes, in actual gameplay, not in my opinion.

I don't want Tectonics replaced with a redundant ability. With the Augment, it's incredibly useful for any mission involving defending something. In the scenario you described, if the enemy survived Landslide, I would either A) continue to spam Landslide, or B) shoot them.

I just feel that Tectonics doesnt fit the theme of an up close and personal brawler. And for your A, it would break up the monotonous spam of a single ability a bit without sacrificing the damage potential. It isnt just about what is incredibly useful in certain scenarios or what is the best, it was just an idea that popped into my head that to me sounds like more fun than erecting a wall to hide behind.

  11. I had an idea about Atlas.

What about replacing atlas second ability Tectonics with a knockback kick?

Imagine this, you petrify an enemy, landslide, but he survives with little health. You kick the enemy back and the damage dealth upon contact with either another enemy or wall is enough to kill the target, shattering the petrification dealing damage in an area and leaving rubble behind.

This mechanic could also be worked into a kind of combo system if possible for varied effects (not sure what those effects would be), for example: Landslide - "kick" - Landslide - or Landslide - Landslide - "kick". The kick would then replace one of the punches in the landslide sequence and benefit from the damage multiplier landslide builds.

I dont know why this idea popped into my head, but it sounds like fun, and it would further strengthen the idea of a brawler rather than the boxer he is today.

  12. Sorry man, can't really help you.

I've got the exact same issue, I'm talking to support as often as I can about this problem. But as you said they are backed up so it's going slow.

I am interested to see if this turns out to be a bigger problem than I thought. You are the first other person ive seen so far.
