  1. Problem: Initiation with Cephalon Simaris worked, but I cannot find a Synthesis Scanner anywhere in the inventory, so there is no gear to equip, and I can also not buy any recharges. I can see synthesis targets, if someone _else_ is on the mission who has a scanner, but I cannot scan and collect any standing.

Looks like this part of the update is broken for me. Never mind, I'll commence playing WF once the busy DE support finds time to process my support inquiry.

  2. Hm... I got initiated by Simaris, but in my Arsenal -> Gear there is no Synthesis Scanner entry, just the normal codex scanner. In the "Offerings" menu there is nothing I can buy without standing. And I cannot collect standing without the scanner... am I overlooking something, or is this just broken?

  3. Just out of curiosity, I installed WF on a severely under-powered laptop (Acer AS1810 - ULV version) when I swapped the HDD for an SSD and installed everything anew anyway.

Of course the performance is really bad (only 2GB RAM, no GFX accel, etc.), and I switched off almost everything in the game to not be in "slide show mode". But I was very impressed to learn that WF was actually _playable_ (OK, with a little teeth-grinding, and I kept it a solo mission to not slow down anyone else). Even low graphics look surprisingly good. For a game of WF's complexity, this is very unusual.

Actually I wanted to wipe WF from the laptop (my real gaming rig is way better), but after your announcement I will wait until it's updated to 14.5 and tested before I do that. I should definitely notice any differences in caching strategy. :-)

Confirmed: With the slow single-core on this laptop, U14.5 feels very laggy, but it is actually so-so playable (at least in solo mode).

Pre-U14.5, there was a very noticable delay between trigger and a shot actually leaving the weapon, now only the sound effect is delayed.

A very impressive result! - Many thanks!!

(I'll still wipe WF from this slow laptop - it was an 'extreme' experiment, after all. And it surprised me a lot.)

  4. Side note:

Please keep up the good work - all of you. Many thanks!

  5. And why not put an option where the directx and Multi-Thread are for choose if i want that "new cache optimizer" or not?

It's much better not to have everything switchable by an option. This avoids setting hte option to wrong values. And setting this wrong would also affect _other_ players (who have to wait longer for you to join).

Good caching automatically makes use of your resources - if you have plenty of RAM it will use more of it, but a good cache strategy will make better use of little RAM, too.

  6. - Kubrow interaction counter does not go down "3/3 interactions left". Even after re-login.

    - Incubation/DNA Stabilizer dialog box says: "You don't have DNA stabilizers. You can craft them in the Foundry, or buy them from the Market."

-> OK, well, then, where is the BP for it? Please provide it for sale somewhere. :-)

  7. Finding a kubrow egg is near impossible I have lost count of how many matches I've done with my friend to get him a kubrow egg and nothing. There must be something wrong, cause it's easier to get argon, orokin reactors or catalysts please fix this. Also finding orokin cyphers is crazy difficult spent like 20 rounds in orokin derelict and nothing.

Same here. In my case, I was invited (by another player) to the "Find Kubrow Egg" quest _before_ I had taken it. Now, _after_ having taken it, I can't get Kubrow Eggs. -> Support request opened.

  8. After collecting an extractor and leaving the planet (e.g. pressing "ESC"), the extractor icon is still shown above the planet. When leaving and re-entering the Navigation display, the planet icons are correct (i.e. no extractor shown).

NB: Thanks that collecting an extractor automatically un-deploys it. This is much better than the old behavior (where you had to manually collect it after "emptying" the results).
