  1. Year after year the meme will always persist because it isn't just a joke. As a new player you fall in love with destiny or you outright quit, as a regular player you have the most fun (collecting and using a bunch of warframes and weapons etc) as a veteran player you're either a die hard simp for DE or you see the same thing being repeated and DE constantly going back on their word or simply rolling everything under the rug and moving on after one statement and or apology. Hell they even took a criticism which is actually a negative one (Building a castle on top of a castle) and made it positive. I quit awhile ago but I still get on every now and then to see what has changed and time and time again I'm disappointed.

  2. Both games lack in very important parts and both games I've been in since the start. Each is going in bad directions and unless you've put in at least 4 months into each I see no reason to bash or compare the two. They both also cater to two completely different crowds with the core difference being perspective (FPS v TPS). This is also why you can't compare The Division 2 and Destiny or Warframe because that core engagement and interest draw different people. ~~That game is also heading into terrible directions~~

  3. NPE is a mobile game meme. Warframe does its best in the early game and late game to force you to not play it. Mid game cycle was probably the most fun collecting frames and collecting weapons but until you reach that point the game is utter cancer. I've had a good 20ish friends all quit because they got tired of the loop after grinding for hours sometimes days having to wait 12+ hours / 3 days for S#&$ to build. Its a heavily outdated mobile game pay concept that I wish Warframe would drop. People who argue that DE needs it to make money are just being memes. People buy plat/prime access out of support for the devs and also for the cosmetics I'm sure this is majority of the spending reasons for most people and the game has a die hard enough fanbase that more people will join in with just the removal of these bad time-gates.

"Hey guys, i wanna help out my squad and level Trinity... What do you mean only my Saryn or Mesa gets any EXP?"

That is why you should not just get exp for kills... Some frames are simply not meant to have high kill ratios. And others are meant to cause wide spread death and destruction.

This is solved very easily. You already get 50% affinity from weapon kills once a weapon is maxed its affinity should go mainly towards something that isn't leveled and once everything is leveled each respective piece contributes to its focus lens exp mainly or only. If you have multiple unleveled then you can split it with the frame having priority.

    or

You can give people complete control with how their exp is distributed (ie: 50% of all exp goes to my warframe, 25% primary, 25% secondary, 0% melee or 100% Warframe 0% everything else) and remove the fact that sharing exp is far better than actively getting exp unless you're a nuke.

  5. There is no sense of urgency when you're being damaged you either die or your frame has a life-saver skill. There is no real impact in killing enemies or bosses either so you're met with basically Dynasty Warriors: Warframe. This is what ultimately lead to my withdraw from the game. There's plenty of other major problems but ultimately if I were to give Warframe's top 3 in the exact order of annoyance it'll probably be

    3. Mobile-game time-gates that discourage you from playing the game and encourage you to spend plat (early on this is a problem not so much at mid-late game cycle)

    2. No real difficulty which leads to no real impact in fighting and it just becomes a game of nuke or be nuked. (This works for arpgs not so much for tps games)

    1. My biggest problem with warframe is lack of actual content. It's just rehashed content and then when we do get new content its usually underwhelming.

This isn't necessarily a DE problem because this is basically a grass-roots game but it does show when you move on to other games the limits that are put on Warframe sorta like a Beth game.
I think the game could go for a new engine and change some of the core to avoid these issues but ultimately people like Warframe like people like DW. This is fine.

  6. I always love the influx of "reee" nerf x for being good at something specific. Other frames can nuke and others can even buff out damage and work well with more cheesier weapons, should we now delete Chroma/Mirage/Rhino? Saryn has a power that excels in tight spaces and clustered enemies, guess what ESO is? Guess what Defense/Survival is? They're places where she will excel.

So did Ember and Nuke trin but they got nerfed because they killed everything.

    rip

I love when people bring ember as if she's been nerfed to the point of not being useful she still obliterates low-mid level content and got a boost in damage. All they did was nerf her high-end potential and pretty much laid out a big ol frick you to the small amount of people who used her above 50.

  7. Going off of damage is pretty stupid. I've had games were I had similar kills to the rest of the team (100-200) and I had like 80% of damage due to running snipers and others having mediocre assault rifles or running a dps frame like saryn that takes some ramping up in anything that's 50+. I've also had instances of having less kills but more damage due to running high damage frames/weapons. I've seen people have contend for most damage with melee weapons or whips against nuking frames. Saryn isn't even a problem currently and even Ember can still outright nuke everything in low level missions. Hell my "balanced" frost where I don't go to 200 in any stat can nuke S#&$ more efficiently. Chroma/Rhino/Mirage with a chain weapon can still nuke S#&$ and completely own the damage and kills category. If you're running a non-dps frame or a hybrid frame or mediocre frame or a low strength build or a mediocre weapon don't be surprised if someone else is running high damage frames/weapons and outright outperforms you.

  8. The Grenade Launchers all fall under MR Fodder for most people because the self damage isn't worth it especially the game being in enclosed spaces 90% of the time. I personally never got rid of any of my launchers outside of direct upgrades (syndicate) and bring em out here and there depending on the mission.

Also blast damage is a w/e status imo and only hinders you when you have guardians and some eximus and you really shouldn't be taking anything that isn't a shotgun to 100 status with 4 dual mods. It's quite a fun weapon though especially after the buffs it got.

This game is not very complicated or hard.  It's easy to get good.  Sortie is the most fun and challenging daily Warframe thing to do, but if it's too easy now you have probably gotten good.

All you need is 3 types of frames (Hard CC(Too many to name tbh)/SpyFrame(Ivara/Loki/Ash) for certain tiles/Armor Stripe or Damage Buff Frame(A decent amount to name but most notable Rhino/Chroma) Majority of missions are already move fast anyways and not all spy tiles need you to be invisible you can just wipe the cameras or it provides a way for you to completely go through to the vault undetected.

Sorties haven't been hard for a long time. Most difficult is getting sortie 3 kill oriented objective (Survival/Defense)  with +enemy armor and no one else but you brings an armor striping frame and corrosive projection along with no type of CC or Damage/Damage Weapon.

What made sorties hard before was that some of them were very tedious but that's about it, it's not really challenging just it took longer and also spy missions got downgraded as it use to be every lock had the highest hacking mini-game and tbh they should've done some extra stuff like always locking shortcuts etc but Ivara would still trivialize most of the vaults due to her full on scrub boosting augment.

  10. If Umbra was ever worked on properly and made into a system... instead of another frame and re-skinned primed mods because it was put off for ages and then placed into the cinematic quest pipeline of a few months of work. The Umbra System both being a mirror to the Operator System and as an upgrade system for weapons and frames would've been really nice and could've had potential by having base modifers and then more interesting upgrades (peculiar mods type of upgrades could also be thrown in there just to have extra stuff to aim for). Could've also have it have different affects on primes and normal variants of stuff. Could go even bigger with the system and dive into a base tree and then weapon type trees. Operator trees are also still bare bones and ultimately became operator trees instead of warframe+operator trees.

  11. Nightmare LOR was fun and the only real challenge. Normal LOR was eh. Jordas raid had bugs but outside of that I actually enjoyed doing runs on it. The raids were simple though so tbh the most fun/challenge I got out of them was doing themed raids. Sad that Alliance content is gone and now so is 8 player raids. They can definitely be improved but DE's track record is remove it and don't bring it back for years because something else has their complete attention.

Though I would like some variety in raids if focus is ever put on them again. Puzzle raids are fine but LOR was very very simple and Jordas was a step in the right direction imo outside of the boss fight itself. Eidolons are a nice test run imo for bigger bosses that we as a group of 8 can fight especially if you incorporate weak-points and fix aggro. A lot of other ideas and the railjack system can lead to a pretty cool big dreadnought like raid where you have a 4-man team inside and a 4-man team outside.

  12. DE has the power to revert stuff as we've seen through support. I see no reason why they couldn't delete what you've bought so that you don't have a negative plat balance. Also the analogy of DE being the police is a terrible comparison as you didn't buy the car/item from the police. Countries have consumer laws, DE's trading interactions likely fall under a gray area but that doesn't mean you should just accept poor business choices.

  13. MR is account rank and simply shows you've leveled stuff it has nothing to do with end game. A frame that would be locked to MR30 wouldn't be any different than a frame locked behind MR15 outside of what the frame is itself and its role due to said abilities.

DE has basically gotten rid of anything that would count as endgame and have made clans/alliances useless in their existence all we get currently is a place to decorate and a wall for some weapons and frames. Dark Sectors are gone instead of being reworked, onslaught was originally something for dark sectors but became its own game mode. Conclave is bad and honestly never suited warframe due to its power complex they should've gone with a more unique idea for pvp and done something to intertwine it with the invasion system (Corpus v Grineer with no warframe (could've also been used to further expand the lore if they wanted to as well for the bosses). Sorties ultimately got dumbed down and they weren't even that hard just brought out how tedious defense and survival can be. I don't count the tridolon hunt end-game but it's honestly the closes we've had to decent boss fights even if it's simple and only gear gated. Then there is of course my favorite Raids. DE gave it the good ol college try with LOR but they ultimately just dumped it all on Jordas and didn't even make a nightmare ver. I still think Raids are the perfect end-game for this game.

I also think the tau system will likely be just an open world spot with some missions but hey maybe DE surprises us and it's an entire solar system with or that will eventually have end-game vers of stuff (Sorties etc). I think DE really needs to take a year or two break of major content and actually sort themselves out and create a roadmap. They've already put themselves in a terrible corner by making Excalibur Umbra and giving us another frame series to farm because I doubt they'll lock them behind only cinematic quests. Umbra Should've been a system akin to Operators which would be easy to work around and you can just create Umbra Skins as through a Frame Mastery System (could be done multiple ways tbh this is just an idea I've made on the spot) instead of giving us re-skinned prime mods and calling them Umbra Mods.

I've been here 5 years and the game just continues to degrade and side grade.

Yes but she kinda tried to look and behave human. Just remember the way she talked, without any live or emotion. Even Hunhow THE sentient sounded way more li ely then this, you could feel his rage and disgust. Sentient Lotus seemed shalow, like something was controling her, like she wasnt quite herself.

She was created with a single purpose in mind, infiltrate the orokin. She did this and got us to destroy the orokin. A friend threw a theory that the helmet she wore was what kept her "human" side and once it was removed the sentient side went into full affect.

  15. I still remember after the first unvieling of excal umbra for chinaframe and sometime afterwards DE stating they weren't gonna do another frame for us to collect then I remember the idea was thrown around as a system instead of another frame.... I guess Steve's tweet about they've only just put this together was correct because we ended getting another damn frame.

  16. I wouldn't be so mad on the change if they actually gave us forma relative to the amount of exalted weapon frames we have. This was a change just to be a change when it was already fine after the changes that ultimately lead to the state they were before this patch. (weapon stats didn't matter just your mods and no rivens) they were fine like that. Now you expect me to use 12ish forma across Excal/Excal Umbra/Valk/Wukong/Ivara/Mesa/Titanax2. I'm being mad but at least they have 2Vs and a dash imagine if they came like clan tech weapons, but they should've provided some amount of forma or on a more "greedy" nicer side have a forma sale with a buy 1 get 1 free or buy 1 3x bundle get 2 free.

It's still 3 months out m8. As a chroma main myself I would like to see some cool element switching instead of the 1 we have now and maybe a new 4. Chroma's a tank, give him an ultimate that makes him tank even harder.

Also for god's sake he's a dragon. Let us be a frikking golden dragon.

Why do people want this exalted dragon meme. Stop this. He's a warframe that killed a sentient and wears it as a pelt he's far more a hunter than he is a furry. The Chinese dragon skin is extra extra damn nice but he would be far more cooler with a hunter+pelt skin. He acts bestially, I get it but he could have a far cooler aesthetic than just a simple dragon if he were treated like a hunter/predator.

Anyways on topic, as most have suggested his one should allow him to mix elements into his powers. Another thing is making 2+3 into a single power or imo separate the armor and damage power as it's sorta redundant to have them both be two separate powers. Seeing as nerfing Vex Armor's formula before affected his tanking to the point of Fire being more worthwhile, I believe separating his tanking and damage power would do Chroma good. Turning his 3 into a tanking ability with damage as its scaling like it is now (Vex Armor) and changing Elemental Ward to -Insert Damage sounding name- and have it work differently to how Vex Armor currently works and in keeping the spirit of elemental ward allow it to affect your elemental combo so IE if you have electricity you gain electricity damage though unlike toxin slash it actually stacks instead of being a separate proc.

Effigy, I honestly don't mind the power but I think they should just outright make him a decent turret so (faster power casting) having it also be affected by Chroma's damage scaling would also be amazing. Also allow range to affect it.

Another topic is if the elements are moved to his one, what should be his passive? I know I was against the dragon bit but it would be pretty cool to have a simple passive like an extra jump (which activates the wings for all of you who want the wings to pop up). Though if we're going for it to benefit him would be nice to give him a passive that kicks in when he throws out Effigy like doubling his damage or increasing it by a % while keeping the 50% armor reduction.

The other big topic past his passive is the elemental passives themselves (Electric aura shocks enemies when you're being damaged + increases shields [fine imo but could use some survivability increase like shocking an enemy siphons back some shields], Poison aura increases reload speed+holster speed [It's very underwhelming and the toxin procs are limited so they're far more underwhelming than the passive itself], Fire increases health [Good], Ice increases armor [Good if they were to change 2+3 to be separate powers it could potentially be buffed due to better armor scaling formula or remain the same if we get nothing new for it])

Something I forgot to mention earlier as to why I think the scaling itself should be separate and only be affecting armor is being I'm tired of having to compromise a slot to either a glaive or hikaou so that I can get my buff up. In later missions it's ok as enemies can actually damage you and get it back up quickly but being able to at the very least get my damage up without having the self-harm would be an amazing QOL for him.

Wasn't ESO an answer to the people asking for difficult endgame content to test their "skill" and their equipment because everything else was too easy?

No, Onslaught was originally going to be Dark Sectors related but they scraped the clan aspect of it and said screw it here's a new gamemode.
